I really appreciate the generosity of the skating ring, when we went to pay I told her I’m here to help my grandson learn but I have an injured ankle so I probably won’t last very long and she did not charge me, I tried to pay and she still would not let me pay,a few minutes into skating I realized my grandson would be better off with the skater assistant device they have so I went to get that for him and again she would not let me pay for it. Very very nice people!!!!I was part of a big family going in so they were able to make money off of us but still to be very generous. I really appreciate it!!! We had a great time, Brought back a lot of memories from my teenage years when I was part of a speed skating and at the skating rink three nights a week.

This place has been here since I was a kid. I just spent the evening here with my children helping them learn to skate. It hasnt changed a bit. We all had a really great time. The only real complaint I can make is about the restrooms. There isnt a sink inside the restroom. Its located randomly along the back wall. But that really isnt a deal breaker for us, just a bit of an inconvenience.

Decent rink, clean. We didn’t purchase food here, but the prices are decent and plan to next time. Staff is friendly and we enjoyed our visit.

Well as far as the derby goes it was good. However for non skaters that want to play the video games..you will be disappointed. Most of them are so old they dont even wotk..they just take your money.

Fun place however, the people who work here are kind of rude. Me, my niece, and my 2 friends who came here all had drinks and food sitting on our table and while my niece was sitting here one of the girls took all of our food and drinks off the table and threw them away and not only did this happen once but twice. I went to the manager and the best thing she had to say was “well are you sure she was sitting there.” When I replied with yes, she said “well I don’t think she was.” At the moment I’m not sure if I will return or not.

Second time in a month they’ve been closed but their online time, both google and website, said they were open. Tonight there were 8 cars in the parking lot, parents scrambling to find another rink or something else to do after promising their kids a fun time. It’s a shame to see any place do business this way.

The customer service at this place is shockingly horrible. We rented out the space for an event and they were trying to rush us out saying verbatim over the sound system “I would like to go eat dinner so if you guys want to wrap up early it would be appreciated”. We still had 50 minutes left in our reservation. The staff hates their jobs and its clear, the place is filthy and smells like feet. Don’t recommend, at least the music was good and the skates were in decent condition.

I loved skate country.. Every thing is good. But I really think the shoul have the walkers for free.... And the food needs to be lower... It also needs to be open at like 10 or something.. Not 2 in the afternoon

Rather cool venue. They have weird hours but understandably so as the place seems to not get extremely busy. It was well maintained and clean at the time I went and the music isnt loud or obnoxious. The employees were also nice and helpful. There is a water fountain on site but I would also recommend bringing a water bottle as skating tends to work up a sweat. They run deals on certain days of the week so I would be sure to check it out!

We had a blast here. All my kids are between 15 and 21. Plus we had their uncles come as well. It was the best family night we had in a while.

Totally awesome!!! If I could give more than five stars I would. Had my daughters birthday party there and it was great, the staff was very friendly and the place was very nice and clean. Will definitely be back again and will definitely have more birthdays there.

My wife and I took our three young children (ages 6, 7, and 8) to Skate Country on a Friday night (8/30). I have one critique, but I want to start by saying that my kids had a great time. Before we left, they were asking if we could come back. They loved it! In todays world of video games, tv, and other sedentary activities, Im so glad that there are still places like this for kids to go and be active. We were there on a Friday night, and it wasnt as busy as I would have expected, so it was easy to work with our young kids as they nervously tried to skate for the first time.I absolutely hate to be negative about a place that is so good for kids--a place that I want to remain open. My only issue was the music that they played. Let me start by saying that I personally love all types of music, and I knew many of the songs that were played while we were there. I dont get too hung up over music lyrics. The clientele, however, was primarily families with young children, some our childrens age, some a little younger, some a little older. There may have been a couple of high school-aged guys there, but there were mostly young kids. Thats why I dont understand the reasoning behind the music choices. They were playing a lot of rap music that didnt seem to be edited (I remember hearing a couple of Eminem and possibly some Post Malone, but there was a lot more). My wife and I both heard several sh**s and other profanity in the music. I thought that I caught a couple of f**ks in the music but wasnt sure until they played Boulevard of Broken Dreams, a slow song in which I clearly heard f**k near the end of the song.Dont get me wrong - I like some of that music. I just dont let my kids listen to it because they hear the words and they have repeated song lyrics in the past. I feel like the music would have been more appropriate for a high school crowd, but the place was full of young kids. It just seemed like an odd choice of music that will probably push more people away than it attracts. Im not saying that they should play Kids Bop, but Ive been to other skating places, and Ive never heard music like that before.TLDR: If you dont mind your kids listening to music with profanity, drug references, and other derogatory language, this is a great place to let the kids have active fun. If you are careful about what your children listen to, you may want to look elsewhere, or at least ask about the music that they are going to play before you give them your money.

Great place to skate. Even though I have to drive 45 minutes to get there its great. They do need to get better hours and days to be honest. Their food is great. It you go and need to go to the bathroom I suggest you take off your skates. It is very hard to keep balance on the tiles with skates on.

Fun place for kids and adults, if you like to skate.

They played very inappropriate music for there to be children there. I went to the staff to complain. They acted like they had not noticed the music. They were playing uncut music that they dont even play on the radio. I told them it sounded like something someone would play in an adult club. Also they dont mix up the music to different kinds of music. I really think the rap or hip hop type music has slowed business down. This was on Saturday the 19th. I wish management would do something about the music.

Need to be mindful about music played.. inappropriate lyrics! Too many elementary kids for that type of music.

Crowd is good, fair for Saturday night. A good rink overall but the races are not the best. They dont set a certain amount of laps they just run the raxe fpr a full length of a song.... So the races need to ha e set laps. Over all tho its a good rink. Speakers are too loud.

The parking lot needs some work but otherwise I enjoy going there to skate. Im not very good and it has been oh about 20+ years since I skated but doing it brings me back to the 80s as a kid. Its not fancy but a hell of a lot of fun. Staff is real nice and Ive never had a problem.

This place is horrible. The music was out of date. The bathrooms were not cleaned there was urine in the bathroom floors. No sinks in the bathroom to wash your hands. In the parking lot had huge potholes everywhere.Overall, not the best place to skate at.

The new referie is rude he grabbed my brother by his shirt and pushed him also he was yelling in my face last weekend and kept threatening me. I usually have fun at skate country but now i dont that hes there. This girl tried to beat me up and the referie stopped her but i got kicked out but she didnt. I love having fun there but how are kids suppose to have fun when there is bullying and threatening.....

Great place to let your kids grow up at.

Place needs a remodel - bad! I can remember coming here twenty years ago as a kid and it looking pretty dated back then. More of the same when I came back recently to attend a party. The rink itself is still in great shape. I would suggest bringing your own skates considering the poor condition of the ones on site and just eat before you come. The quality of the food just isnt worth the movie theater pricing theyre asking.

Skate Country has maintained its charm for generations. My only critique is they no longer carry roller blades. Skates and speed skates are the only options now. This is a great place for family and kids.

Lack luster appearance. Music quality not set up properly for speakers. Some games not working. Bathroom floor wet. Partys are not consistent between all groups. Some are not being attentive. But its the only skate place in the area.

Love this place. This where the thots gather to talk trash and fight each other. That place is so toxic, its like the modern day Chernobyl.

Staff was rude the rental skates were old and unsafe. Not fun.

My 15 yr old daughter goes every Saturday from 2 pm till 11 pm. If is one of her favorite things to do

The floor is a little rough but not a big crowd so you can enjoy yourself a little more the older lady in the pros shop could use a little customer service etiquette put other than that everybody else was nice

I like skating there and most of the staff are nice. Except one. This old lady with blonde/red wavy hair. I had just bought nachos and a large drink and they were both still full. I went to go to the bathroom and came back and it was gone. THE LADY THREW THEM AWAY! Couldn’t she see it was still full?! Like bruh!!! And the same old lady yelled at my cousin for having Hershey kisses and made her throw them away when they were a birthday gift from her friend. She wasn’t even eating them it was just the fact she had them.? And I also saw her yelling at this girl and then these other two kids for god knows what. All ik is that she should be fired. She clearly hates her job and kids.

I just attended my granddaughters 7 birthday party at Skate Country in Gainesville Georgia and I have to say that as far as the skating rink goes it is fine. The problem I have is that they put us at a table right under a concert size speaker and the music was so loud you couldnt even talk to the person sitting next to you. Add this to all of the crowd noise and it was horrible. I wonder whose bright idea it was to put the speakers on the table side of the rink instead of on the opposite wall. If I had children I would think twice about exposing them to the noise level at this rink for 3 or more hours. I would hope that other parents, grandparents, etc would speak up about the volume of the music.
