When it comes to a bar and grill its hard to touch this place, food is extremely delicious staff are incredibly friendly and service right on time! food was hot and fresh. Piano bar was incredible, players take requests. what a great place to socialize.I highly recommend the keys grill & piano bar!Dont miss a great experience!!
The atmosphere was great, the color scheme is beautiful, reminds me of when I used to live by the beach! The drinks were surprisingly good quality (margaritas in particular), the service was good. The band playing was great. The only thing I was disappointed in was the Avocado Toast which came with three tiny pieces of bread (put together would make one regular slice of bread) and barely any avocado, all for 7 bucks. I wouldnt consider this a meal, but a snack or maybe appetizer as this left me still very hungry.
Visited several times without any issues.Service is good, drinks are prepared well however tonight dinner was vey disappointing. My wife and I ordered the The Chicken Shack with black beans and rice. The chicken was rubbery like it had been in a microwave and so dry we had to send it back. We had to order other items on the menu because we were out for dinner, which turned to be ok.After speaking with management and paying our full bill along with 20% tip Of course, they apologized for the issue. We will continue to patronize the business as long as the food quality issue is addressed appropriately.
When I found out Celebration Pointe was getting a piano bar I was excited to check it out. After going there recently I can’t say I’m in a hurry to go back. The theme of the restaurant, play on words and the cuisine mesh together pretty well, the potential was there. Unfortunately it’s too loud to enjoy anything. The acoustics were really bad, the music echos so loud you have to yell at the waiters. The food was fine, I got the Cuban and I liked it a lot but my friend got the wrong food simply because the waitress couldn’t hear what we were saying. Our drinks weren’t great either but that could’ve been isolated issue.Luckily they have outside seating but most people go to a piano bar to listen to and watch the pianist. These are all issues that can be resolved so hopefully they can.
Great service! I cant remember the bartenders name, but she was blonde hair and had blue eyes, and had pony tail. It was around 430 pm Monday, very sweet. She gave my son 2 servings of olives, . I havent been there in quite awhile due to this ridiculous virus, but we are glad that we went to just chill. Great place to relax and Im sure to do just about ANYTHING!!!
We were far from impressed. Had difficulty getting our table waited on. Had to go inside to get service. None of the food was up to the standards we were expecting. The musical act was amazing as they always are. Would not recommend.
Ordered 2 medium rare burgers via Bite Squad... I get its a seafood restaurant, but I wanted a burger tonight and received two well beyond well done hockey pucks with no condiments or toppings. I might give it another shot in the future based on other reviews, but if you cant cook two burgers properly, that doesnt bode well for the kitchen.EDIT: Have since ordered twice, both times much better, including the burgers. Mahi sandwich and The Old Man and the Sea were both good as well.
Great food but honestly the music is very loud! Can’t have a conversation on a date or talk to your friends. It was raining outside, so we couldn’t go outside either. We left and went to another restaurant. Just tone it down and it would of been enjoyable.
Ordered for the first time via Bitesquad delivery. I drive for them occasionally and have picked up orders from here which piqued my interest. Ordered the Shrimp 3 ways meal for 2. WOW. Alot of food for the money & prepared very well. And the fried green tomatoes I got for myself (did not share with my hubby) were excellent. thank you so much. Will definitely order again or even come in for a proper sit down meal.
It was amazing sides to special were messed up but server apologized and it was a special...It was mauhi mauhi for 9.99 with broccoli but not really, she apologized it was all good...She was attentive, I dont eat carrots, silverware was dirty so had to get that replaced but all in all it was great. I had fun by myself and I would definitely go back but needs some help especially in the covid19 environment...
The food was amazing! Also my service was spectacular, my server riona was very attentive and conscious of my diet and needs.
We got the Florida keys platterBeer battered Atlantic cod, fried shrimp, fried gator tail, and conch fritters served with Hastings fries and calypso slaw. $29.00We ordered through bitesquad the food was hot on arrival and smelled so good! Yummy crispy fries and good good portion size. So the problem I had was with the conch fritters.... They are so over-seasoned that I cannot eat them theyre not salty its just whatever spice they use someone got a little heavy-handed. My husband doesnt even want them. The cod was good too just wish it had as much seasoning as everything else. Also cant forget the gator tail, nice and juicy golden brown bites of awesome! Not sure if Ill order in the near future
The first time at The Keys Grill & Piano Bar, I cant wait to be back to try more . Two Bar areas definitely add ease of movement and flow, but the limited drink menu seemed to miss a larger the opportunity - I see possibilities!!!Food style: Modern South Florida beach themedIndoor location: Open warehouse, eclectic chicEntertainment: Depend on the day, the piano bar is cool. Open-air outdoor is always available. When Dueling pianos are playing, talking across the table is challenging. The music was entertaining though... so ignore your table and have fun!Overall the food was delicious - I had the Mallorcan Shrimp and Grits and personally am slightly remorse not going LARGE - Worth every spoonful. The sauce, go ahead and add it everywhere. Get in my belly!!!! The andouille sausage and the blackened shrimp were cooked just right and made this a YUMMY!My Partner had the Mahi Mahi Sandwich with a side fries. The Mahi Mahi was fresh; the FRIES were stand-alone GOOD! (next time, I want a side of fries for my Mallorcan grit sauce!)The Keys is an excellent addition to Celebration Pointe in Gainesville, FL. If the weather is pleasant, then sitting outside would be lovely as this location has ample and comfortable outdoor seating. Great Bar, fun atmosphere, the open style of the warehouse-type atmosphere creates a LOUD realm for basic conversation.
My husband and I had lunch at this restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the food. The shrimp skewers and chicken salad wrap were delicious. The fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned. And the portions were perfect! Its about time restaurants serve an appropriate amount to keep us healthy. Will definitely go back again! =)
Located in the center of City Walk, the atmosphere was great, and so was the food. The outside area was also a great place to hang out. Great place to go before a movie next door.
Good place to chill and enjoy good vibes!
The people at The Keys are amazing and their food is out of this world! I was born and raised in South Florida and their food reminds me of where I grew up. It’s fresh and vibrant, and truly reminisces of the southern charm that is uniquely the Keys. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and truly makes it a fabulous dining experience. Don’t miss out on this fantastic restaurant and its tropical vibe inside and out!!
A friend and I decided to visit one of Celebrations newest restaurants, and glad we did. The ambiance is now and sadly that is why the establishment lost one star. They really need to improve the acoustics, which will definitely improve how people are able to enjoy the singer and pianist. Food, drink and service was excellent. Sorry to report that it was so good that I neglected to take any pictures. We enjoyed the experience, except as noted, so add The Keys Grill & Piano Bar to your list at least once.
The food is amazing and refreshing. The vibe is hip and charming. The people are 100% customer oriented and the manager is spot on a professional businessman bringing exactly what this place needs. Absolutely would recommend to anyone and everyone.
My sister and I decided to go here after her birthday dinner to check out the music. We absolutely loved it! The crowd isnt a bunch of kids and the music is so good you get out of your seat to dance or tap your feet! If its too loud inside you can roam a bit to the outside of the bar and relax by fireside tables. Its so very relaxing an atmosphere with great music. When I try the food Ill update ;)
Shrimp and grits had 2 very small farm raised shrimp, definitely not gulf shrimp as they claim on menu. The conch chowder bowl was served in small dish and basically broth. This was my second time visiting. The first time was on a very hectic night during football season and Dan Mullen was doing his radio show. The service and food was much, much better that night despite being busy. Not sure whats changed in the last couple months but we wont be back anytime soon if ever.
A friend and I took a lunch break and stopped by. We got the Conch Fritters, Gator Bites, Fried Shrimp & Fries, and the Chicken Cesar Wrap. Everything was good. Our waitress, Esa, was kind and helpful.
Happened to stop in here while staying across the street. Best. Descion. Ever! Literally, everything was fantastic! The shrimp & grits are a must! All staff was kind, helpful and happy! And dueling pianos! Go here :)
Loud, very loud inside. Good piano player with good selection of songs but too loud. They could turn down the volume and not over cook the fish and it would be a fun place. If you go sit outside.
We had a great time. Also the band is very good.
I visited here a few times but only drank at the bar (outdoor and indoor very nice). I recently came and had dinner with the family. It was a great experience. The staff is all very friendly and accommodating. We sat outside (close to the bar again) and enjoyed the lights on Celebration. The only thing I would add to the place is make the outside lighting a little less harsh.Great spot to hang out
Fresh Florida Keys inspired dishes. Shrimp and grits Id gladly sell my mom in law for. WednesdayS they have a crab boil SPECIAL!! OH MY GOD FELICIA . NICE BAR! LIVE MUSIC! GREAT WITH GROUPS! QUALITY FOOD AND QUALITY SERVICE!
I had a wonderful time and the music was great. Plus everyone just gets out and dances together makes it feel like a family party!
This is our third visit to the keys restaurant, we love the food and went there tonight for dinner. Tonight‘s experience started out rocky. The timing on the delivery of food for appetizers was really slow. When I spoke to the waiter and the manager they did everything in their power to remedy the situation. They are seriously concerned with satisfying their customers. We left the restaurant amazed by their efforts. And we absolutely will continue to visit and enjoy this great restaurant.
Great food and even better entertainment! 5 Stars Hands Down!!!
Always have a great time at The Keys. The staff is friendly and the entertainment is always top notch.
Good atmosphere, high prices, mediocre service.
When I see a place calling itself a Piano Bar, I think of ballads and saloon singers and music from the Great American Songbook. At the very least, I expect the music will be at background volume, not rock concert. The Keys Grill met none of these.I went in with a party of a dozen or so. We were promptly seated (on uncomfortable minimal stool chairs), and drink orders were taken, albeit with great difficulty over the raucous pop that was blasting out. From that point on, we waited forever for drinks, then food. Servers were polite and attentive, but seemed unable to get the kitchen to respond. When food was finally delivered, it was good but portions were relatively small and expensive (two appetizers, a dinner salad, and a drink were over $50). Through it all, conversation was impossible over the din. Not planning to return.
Great live music. Great food. Awesome staff.
Went here once for dinner and it was decent. Went today for lunch and after drinking about half of my tea with a straw, realized there was lipstick all over my glass. It looked like it had never been washed. I ordered the Chop Chop salad and was told I couldn’t take anything off because it was premixed. When it came it was obviously not. I ordered blackened mahi added and it was not blackened. Employees had a Pizza Hut delivery while we ate. Should have known something was wrong then.
Service was a tad slow, but we were a large group. While we had fun, I wasnt a huge fan of the food. Our coconut shrimp and empanadas were over-fried, the crab fondue lacked crab flavor. I might come back and order an entree to see how it compares to the appetizers. Good environment, but I think the food has room for improvement. Especially at those prices. If Im paying $25 for an entree, it better be damn good.
Great drinks and food! Even better music ! 10/10 definitely would recommend! Server Demi and Jessica P. Are awesome !
The first time me and my friends dined at the keys It was a great experience and Stearling was an amazing server! The food was amazing! But the second time we went (party of 10) it was the complete opposite experience. It was a slow Sunday night, but our waitress forgot our appetizers, the food took 45 minutes to get out and she seemed extremely rude towards us. On top of that the food was room temperature at best when it came out. Not hot was so ever. My shrimp and grits were on the verge of being cold. I really liked this place at first but the second time totally ruined it for me and my friends. I don’t think we will come back.
Love the atmosphere! BUT food is below average with above average prices. A glass of wine costs about $8.00. Our particular waiters personality and knowledge of menu was lacking. But hopefully theyll work the kinks out :)
Casual, slightly funky vibe. Conch ceviche was delicious. Fish and chips above average. Old Man and the Sea is not a repeat for us... a bit heavy and greasy.
Very poor service, horrible management. Bartenders allowed certain individuals to skip the line. I stood in line for 25 minutes before I gave up on getting a drink.
Really nice, live music great drinks and excellent customer service. The burger I had was a bit over cooked but the fries were excellent.
We put our name in and sat at the bar while we waited. We were Informed the drink menu wasn’t available because they ran out during grand opening. We watched as people who came in after us were seated. To then find out our name was crossed out because someone else with same name came in. Finally got our table and then we waited 20 minutes before a server even greeted us. Server made excuses. Only reason this isn’t a 2 star rating is because the food was good. Hope the service improves. I understand they are new, but service needs improvement.
Food was great. Service was awesome. All to meet Cleveland, he will make sure everything is perfect. Cant wait to come back with the dueling pianos.
We had a great time! The energy from the musicians was inspiring . They played non-stop for 3 1/2 hours! The staff was friendly and efficient.
Staff was great, food not so much. The manager was awesome and welcomed the complaint and fixed it. I will return because of it. The drinks were great as well all in all we had a great time.
Beautiful space, good food, and friendly service. The music was excellent but very loud so it was hard to carry on a conversation. The pianists only play on the weekends, but the guitarist was very talented! Id definitely visit a second time.
Great atmosphere, beautiful afternoon to sit on the porch and watch the sun set. Food is great, service on point. Will definitely be back.
Music was so loud we couldn’t talk, chairs were awful beyond words. The fried shrimp were almost as good as Perkins
My wife and I had an incredible experience last weekend! Everything from the appetizers to the main entrees were delicious! Then add in a nice drink selection and quality live entertainment and we are now convinced this is our new date night location!
We arrived at 6:30 or so on a Sunday night as a party of 7 and were promptly seated. There were maybe 15 other guests in the restaurant. The server came up and got our drink order but when he got back he was giving drinks to the wrong people. He told us he would give us a few minutes to look at the menu and then disappeared. I don’t mean that he was helping take care of other guests or anything; he literally never showed back up. We sat there and drank our (now empty) drinks for about 15 minutes before we decided to leave. I’ve never walked out of a restaurant before but the service (or lack thereof) was completely unacceptable.
The place, food and drinks were nice, service at the outside bar window was slow. It was great to have live music but it youre looking for the same jovial atmosphere as Rockys, keep going. The musicians are hesitant to play anything they cant play perfectly or that wont play up to the middle aged caucasian folks that like light 80s and 90s rock / pop ballads.
Very good. Would rate 5 stars but only been once. Good service, excellent mahi sandwich. I highly recommend.
Great service, great food and drinks, super chill and fun atmosphere.Trey was my bartender and he was perfect. ! Drinks taste perfect, he was super personable, fun and made sure we were never without a drink. We didn’t have to wait long at all.
Ordered broiled oysters on the half shell as an appetizer. They were small but good. I ordered the Hemingway burger with pepperjack cheese and bacon with fries as my side. The burger was cooked medium as asked and the bacon was the thick cut. Over all the burger was good, but nothing to write home about. The fries were delicious. My partner ordered the fresh off the boat fish, I dont remember what kind of fish it was other than it was a white fish. He had rice and mac and cheese as his sides. The fish was blackened with the red pepper sauce. The fish was flavorful, the was was ok in my opinion but my bf said he really liked it. The mac and cheese was definitely lacking. It was not creamy in the least. I really felt that overall the menu was limited and slightly over priced. This restaurant is not for me in terms of food options. The service was great. Nothing negative to say as far that is concerned. Prime location as well. The atmosphere was great.
Nice place to eat and some music.
This was our first time here. Food was very delicious and service excellent. We got the Mahi Mahi special. Our only complaint is the amount of food was not adequate for a man. My husband is 6’. It was just enough for me but the size of the filet was small. Perhaps the dish can be like a steak restaurant where you can pick the size of your steak. Or since the price was slightly high perhaps offer the house salad with it.
The service was below average. We all ordered our food together but 2 of our party didnt receive their food until everyone was done eating. It seemed as if the server rung our orders as separate tables. The items we were waiting on were chicken and empanadas. My husband ordered a steak and got his food before our friends.
So glad it’s finally open! The Keys is a most welcome and wonderful addition to Celebration Pointe. The food is some of the best I’ve had in Gainesville. Ribs that fall off the bone and the shrimp skewers and cracked conch are amazing. And you have to try the margaritas! I’m planning to work my way down the menu based on my experience so far. The dueling pianos are great fun so stay for the entertainment. I highly recommend!!
Great food for lunch and dinner on non-piano nights. Great atmosphere on piano nights! Great service!
Great time and love the set up
My husband and I decided to try the place out on Friday. We checked in at 7 and were told an hour wait which was not a big deal seeing as it is a new restaurant. We got their versions of Moscow mules while we waited. Even though the drinks were good, there was just no where to sit and wait. We checked in with the hostess at 8:15 to see how much longer it would be which we were then told another 1.5 hours possibly more. We were both starving so we went elsewhere. They still called us while at Longhorn at 9:35! They need to start taking reservations and stop once the the piano show starts because the restaurant is too small to be seating people who want to wait 3 hours for a show to start while people just want to eat.
Excellent atmosphere. Cool location in Celebration Pointe.Didnt try the food.Overall, would return.
Great service! Nice music, the musicians were amazing! The food was ok but the ceviche is not good!I will come back.
Great location, ate here twice, last weekend 10-12 for lunch and dinner. Was so delicious i came back on 10-19. Staff is very attentive! Looking forward to trying more items on the menu.
Service: 6/10 - We had a group there for post-work dinner. Rather than taking all of our orders together, the waitress took two orders first and then the rest later. As a result two of us received our food a solid 20-25 minutes before the rest. One meal was incorrect two times in a row.Food: 4/10 - nachos were soggy, sandwich was okay, some of the food was stale, and the seafood didn’t taste as fresh as it could be.Environment: 8/10I’d be willing to give it another try in the future after they have some time to fine tune their process. I’ve heard their piano bar hours after 9pm are a lot of fun.
Music is too loud and food is sinplistic and not made to best quality. Make your choice club, pub or restaurant. Also we were outside, ask for a heater and were told there were none available but 3 were in areas of the patio where no-one sat in the whole evening. Costumer care has much room to improve at this not quite so new place.
Very disapointed with the food. The conch had a terrible flavor. Even the salad I got was low quality with no flavor whatsoever. The live piano and atmosphere is ok but definitely not a place to come to enjoy a good meal.
Reasonably priced and fun atmosphere
Not busy, waitress barely checked on our table or asked if anything was needed. The food was good, but Im not sure how they run out of steak and why it takes over 40 minutes to bring out food
Great atmosphere and food with inside and outside bar and seating
I was there for a bday party. The draft beers are around $7. Other drinks 8-10 not on HH. I only had Gator bites. Good. Some of the food looked a little pricey. Friendly staff. Dueling pianos is always fun. Great songs and a good place to let loose. Not too loose though. In an area that is very family friendly. Pianos didnt start until 9 pm.
Food was pretty good. Service from our server was great. The host stand isnt so good. The hosts gave us a table then took it back saying they made a mistake and needed it for a 7 top. They then told us it would be 40 min to ait inside. Btw the temp outside is 43 degrees. After sitting for a while and moving closer to a heater I notice multiple (6 total) empty tables inside. I go in to ask about relocating and they tell me they will have to put me at the bottom of the seating list to get ree sat inside. The manager tried to get the outside heaters working but eventually re sat us inside, then the hostesses complained and the manager told them to deal with it. In summation the servers, cooks, bartenders, and managers were pretty cool but, the snobby hostesses leave a bit to be desired.
Food is solid. Cocktails were fine. Staff was very friendly. We werent there even music was playing, so might be a better overall experience when the pianists are there.
Amazing food and the Ambiance was great. Definitely recommend this upbeat Piano Bar especially if you like seafood!
It was really good, I had the crab fondue to share and Mahi Mahi sandwich as a entree. Both were delicious, they give a very reasonable portion. The outside seating is nice and the service was excellent. I love the little complex that the restaurant is in, kind of a hidden jem.
AWFUL SERVICE. To begin with, they only do call ahead for big parties, so when my husband called he couldn’t even make a reservation. So, we tried to go around 7 pm on a Friday evening. We put our names in and were told it would be an hour. When we checked in after an hour, we were told it would be another 40 minutes. After another hour, we checked in again and the piano players had showed up. We were told that chances are we wouldn’t even be seated. So after 2 hours of waiting, we were never seated and still hungry with no service. Terrible service and nothing to try to accommodate how long we waited.EDIT: After being told that we wouldn’t be seated and we left, 30 minutes later we got a call saying that there was a table for us. Unbelievable.
Came here for lunch recently and we were ignored by multiple servers. We were sat down and told that a server would be right with us. After some time, we asked the gentleman that had shown us to our table if we could get someone to come serve us. He yelled across to another server who then left to go into the back. We waited to see if someone would come by but decided to leave. There were at least 4 different servers and some of them served tables who came in after us. We decided to leave and go somewhere else. Dont waste your time coming here, you will just be ignored.
Not the best restaurant in Gainesville, but offers good food and atmosphere. It’s nice to sit outside, which is sort of rare outside of chains in Gainesville.
This is by far one of the coolest places in Gainesville I have been to. Skylee took care of us outside and was wonderful. She was very accommodating and made us feel at home. The food and drinks were also great, but the pianist were even better! They played a wide variety of songs that kept the crowd highly entertained. Definitely will be back
We ordered chips and salsa and picked the mango salsa. It was bland and plain. So we asked to get some of the pico de Gallo and that was absolute garbage. The pico de fallo was literally a bowl of onions with garlic. Pico de Gallo should be mostly tomato, not a bowl of uncooked onion with garlic. We also ordered the snowbird chicken, and the rice that came with it was hard and cold. It was like they didn’t cook the rice, like they poured uncooked rice onto our plate. This was just really upsetting and gross. I say stay away, we’re not going back.
Food was good. I can see it would be loud with a large crowd due to the bare floors but enjoyed the experience. Staff was nice.
Great food great service. Casual atmosphere. The conch fritters were terrific
Great place to eat well and have fun at the same time. Great musicians and great atmosphere...
Love this place! Great food and great music. Best place to spend a birthday.
Food was awesome and fresh. Service was pleasant but a little slow
Awesome place. Great food and piano show was great too
