I remember going as a kid in the 1960s I have many great memories of being there ! I remember when they had a big merry go round this stands out ! My grandfather would take me ! I am now a Grandpa & am 64 ! my family lives near by on Roselind St we would walk to the park . And my uncle & his wife still live there my family bought the house in February of 1956 I was born in June of 1956 this park has been in my life since I can remember .

Nice park with a solid rec area, and a gargantuan play area for the kids - plus the splash pads is a nice touch. One and a half basketball courts plus a fitness area! The equipment isnt exactly top notch but its nice to see. Lots of homeless but sadly it happens.

Visited with the GRANDKIDS. They loved it. Park was very clean. The play equipment was clean, in good working order and offered a variety of surfaces & challenges for the little ones to navigate.

The kids had a blast! Lots of water comes out the water pad. Usually packed with kids. Clean. No shoes allowed. Lots of fun

This is such an awesome local park! I love that the community has a place to go during the hot months to cool down in the water fountains. Definitely an upgrade to what it was years ago.

This park is a MUST for kids in the summertime!!! ️They have a water feature that kids can play in ALL DAY!! The water is CLEAN! (which should be obvious but sadly not always the case) There are picking tables and covered eating areas that include built in bbqs the park also includes a workout area that makes it easy to get kids familiar with healthy habits overall I definitely will continue to recommend this awesome park!

This park seems to be overlooked. While construction of the newer park on Orangethorpe was finishing,this park has been needing maintenance for at least 6-9 months. The upgrades would be for the basketball courts(1 full & 1 half court)where theres only a partially hanging net on 1 of the rims. They also need help with the bathrooms being open to the public. I understand there were some issues with transient junkies there but not everyone going to the park is looking for a place to shoot up or get high.Decent amount of parking & picnic tables with a few bbqs make it a nice place to have family-sometimes.

If you werent looking for it, you might miss it driving by. The stars are for everything but the public restrooms and upkeep during the day. There are two playground areas for toddlers and older kids and exercise equipment that is easy to operate.The best part is the splash pad, open from 1pm-5pm. Kids have a blast playing in the water and there are nearby picnic tables to set your things or eat lunch. The splash pad is colorful, clean, and safe for young children.There is a small office and meeting room area inside the building and the bathrooms inside are MUCH better than the bathrooms accessible outside the building.I would love to see more upkeep during the day, especially on weekends. This is a very popular park which leads to a lot of food and trash accumulating in the common areas. It would be helpful to have someone come through a couple times a day to cleanup as needed.

Water attraction at this park is a lot of fun especially on those super hot summer days. My understanding is that it runs from Memorial day to Labor day. The playground is split into a smaller kid section and a bigger kid play area making me more comfortable to let my little one roam free. The parking however is always filled with trash and could use some more upkeep/

Gorgeous trail that parallels the ocean with magnificent views in every turn you make. Only down fall here is you have to pay for parking and theres absolutely no shade... but I guess who needs that when youre at the beach?This place is not very crowded which is so nice. The beaches are clean and they have tide pools!There are a few steep inclines when going up/down from the beach to the top so its nice if youre looking to burn some calories. Not a challenging trail at all and its really nice for a leisurely stroll or a quick run. You can bring pets here, too

Went during water playground hours. There is lots of kids!! But its a cool free place to take the kids to run around and cool off with some water fun. Kids love it. Pleanty of places to set up around the play area to watch kids.

The splash pad looked so much fun for the kids. Serious water works and not just splashing lol. The playground is pretty decent. Not necessarily anything to do with the park but the neighborhood... there were 2 guys sitting in their car drinking beer just watching the kids with devious looks on their faces. It was really weird and suspicious

I wanted to see a new park and I ended up visiting this park on a very hot day completely by chance. Its very popular especially with the water fountain. Its also very packed, and parking gets hard after a while.

Great park and splash pad! Park is great to play with the kids and has 2 areas one for small children and the other for the older kids. Swings are nice and theres an area where there are spinners that are fun. Splash pad is only open for the summer (worth it) and is from 1pm-5pm (if I remember correctly) but make sure to wear sunscreen since some California summer days will cause sunburn. The only issue is that the bathrooms arent clean and mostly the homeless people hang around there. Some creepy homeless people usually just stare at you but nothing too dangerous unless provoked. Overall good

Peaceful and very quiet

This is a nice little park with two playgrounds (one for 2-5 year olds and one for 5-12) which seem to be on the newer side, a couple of picnic areas, and a splash pad. We went for the splash pad but were disappointed that its only open 1-5 during the summer, forcing you to go in the heat of the day. Still, its a splash pad, which is a fun addition for a little park.

The park is wonderful for kids to have fun. Its just the restrooms arent very clean. People come in there and trash them. I know they clean at night. Summer time is good with the water spout for the kids.

Small, but clean and quiet

Place itself is nice. Has amenities, a playground, basketball courts, and a new water park. Unfortunately, frequented regularly by homeless who dont care about the park.

The park needs better maintenance,particularly the basketball courts. Theres no nets on 2 of the 3 baskets and on 2 of the courts,tree branches extend far enough over the court that it will interfere with the shot. The bathrooms are fairly clean,but has people hanging around them that makes you feel uncomfortable. That is unless youre ok with junkies coming out of the shadows when youre trying to handle your business.

Nice little park of to the side of everything. Many benches for groups and squads to meet up.

Tons of shady people and needles scattered across the grass area. Homeless come and walk back there and leave a while later. Do not bring your kids here regularly, have a couple times and notice the same people.

Need to keep the part more cleaner and make sure that the water area is working

Fun for lil kids

Park looks relatively new. Tan bark has been displaced in certain areas so maybe a hazard for small children. Slides can get super hot on a sunny day. Watch for equipment quality before allow small children to play on them. Three spinner chairs are available on site. Need to watch smallet children. Saw several kids fall off of the chairs when they get dizzy. Sliding off the chair onto the tan bark is not too bad but two of the chairs are missing tan bark on one side so the kids fall quite a distance before hitting the ground. Injury hazard. The other complaint is that marijuana smokers on site. Makes the park intolerable.

Nice park with semi shaded playground. There were some homeless people hanging around. One lady with obvious mental issues was yelling curse words to herself so we left. No need to expose my 5 year old to that.

What a little gem, especially during the summer time when the splash pad is open, wow talk about a lot of water for the kids to run through, and lots of picnic benches surrounding the water. Also two nice playground jungle gyms for the kids, public bathrooms as well. The only downside is parking is really limited, unless you park next door in the back side of the shopping center and walk over.

Excellent playground and water features for kids to play in on hot days. Clean benches, BBQ and picnic tables. Bathrooms cleaned daily. Great selection of exercise equipment but little space for running small area for walking. Overall Im thrilled that this is my local park.

Its a nice park that my family and I have gone to years, but even with all the nice changes made and improved equipment, theres a pretty bad homeless problem here. Theres always at least half a dozen camped out in bushes, sleeping under trees or on top of benches. For the most part they dont bother anyone though.

Nice play equipment and has its own own parking area as well as a staffed building. park has homeless people hanging around in the morning hours.

This place has two kids play area. The play area is divided for children 2-5 years of age and 5-12 years of age. The play area for 5-12 years of age isn’t difficult for toddlers to enjoy as well. Although it is pretty high and the slides might feel a bit dangerous. The play area is a good size and has 4 adult swings and 2 toddler swings. This place has a tiny shade above the play area that doesn’t do the job right. There are lots of parking spots that is pretty convenient.There is a fitness equipment near the play area. It has 12 fitness equipment that only people over 14 years of age should use. The fitness equipments look pretty clean and decent.There are a lot of picnic areas and has four BBQ grill areas. Also 3 basketball nets near by for older kids.During the summer time they have the outdoor pool area running. It’s not a swimming pool, but more like a huge fountain. It’s free so there are tons of kids running around which seems very dangerous. So be cautious of toddlers who can’t walk very well or smaller children from the older kids. Overall it’s a fun way to enjoy the hot summer for free.Minus one star, because you get to see a lot of homeless people sleeping or sitting around the playground. They don’t seem dangerous, but it doesn’t feel super safe. So always be careful and be cautious.

Kids love itSome homeless people but never been issue for us. Fun place to go. Two different size play area, swings, drinking fountains,benches and tables and BBQ,plus a gazebo as well as bathrooms.

The play structure has some shade and is well maintained. I would give it 5 stars if the bathrooms didnt smell like smoke. Its unfortunate that Im sure maintenance tries to keep up with the cleanliness of the restroom, but the population surrounding the park should also respect city property and not smoke in the bathrooms.

We love our Thursday league for Softball but the parking here is scarce.. watch out for foul balls hitting your car, park by the bridge!. Lighting is to low in height, not my favorite place to play but it does the job.

Nice play structures, shade trees n bathroom was clean enough. However, I brought my 6yr old to play at the Water Spray Pool on a hot Friday afternoon and NO WATER and no operating times posted anywhere! Maybe I shouldve asked one of the homeless gentlemen sleeping at the tables under the picnic pavilion.

Water area was off, the park smells like urine. Lot of homeless around.

My little angelina loves this park.especially when children are there. Afew homeless people occassionallly but very polite people. No trash outside of cans. We enjoy it.
