Myself, three kids, and my mom (three generations!) went to go see their Night of the Living Dead warehouse crawl experience. Its about an hour long and essentially combines a scripted theater production with a maze crawl similar to what you might see at a theme park.Sounds like a simple concept, but for some reason I have NEVER seen a production like this offered before. The situation may have been borne out of necessity due to Covid, but it was PHENOMENAL. All of us remarked afterwards how it was one our favorite entertainment choices, ever. Kind of like living a movie.The actors/actresses were dedicated, the production values were unreal (a couple of vehicle moments blew me away), and the staging and choreography given how complex it must be to herd theater-goers through an alley, warehouse, etc., is pretty daunting.We loved every second of it. I hope they bring it back next year, but it sounds like this might have been a one-time event. Pity cause this format of entertainment is one Id like to see a lot more of.A special shoutout to our lead, who not only had to handle fight choreography and shepherd us around, but he also had to act through a mask! The villain was also especially fun with his interactions with the crowd, and my kids were legitimately sad over what happened to his loved ones. And the actress in the red dress had us in stitches with the Tinder line. Barbaras pathos/misery felt pretty real when youre only about three feet away ...And who could forget Spencer, who made for a wonderful opening performer and was a ton of fun.Great job, crew!

Every production Ive ever seen at the Maverick is of high quality and either screamingly funny or beautifully tragic! Do yourself a favor and go see great theater in Fullerton, its great theater whether its in Fullerton or LA or New York! P.S. Rocky Horror is a fabulous ride!

Folks there are really talented!

We went for the first time to see their annual production of the play Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. Slapstick belly laughs from beginning to end and very creative regarding their costumes and weapons. We believe that the actors were having at least as much fun if not more than we were in the audience. A wardrobe malfunction made things even funnier and the actors were very adroit as to how they handled it. Two sided seating so you can enjoy watching the other half of the audience enjoying the play. The only problem that I had is that the seating is very very tight, which does affect ones enjoyment during the evening. Not for those on the heavy side.

Another great show! Never disappointed when I go to the Maverick Theater. Tons of great places to eat nearby too.

Ive seen Evil Dead the musical, Night of the Living Dead, Plan 9, and Santa vs the Martians. ALL of them are so much fun and worth the money. Its nice to support community theater as well. I cant stop going now.

Came here for the first time tonight. Had a great time. The venue and show was awesome, especially for my first time going to a live play. Saw the Fellowship musical tonight and it is a must see. All of the performances were entertaining, fun, energetic, funny, and put a smile on my face the whole show. Please come check it out. I will surely be back for more.

Great independent theater featuring fantastic talent and innovative productions.

I really like this theater small but roomy they have a beer and wine and soft drink bar and snacks and the show that, I watched it was really good it was a Shakespeare play, and the actors incredibly talented a lot of new inspiring actor love it and I wish them the best in there career as actor and in life.

Saw Santa Conquers The Martians. It was pretty funny. Enjoyed the ad-libbed dialogue.

Great, artsy community theater with satirical takes on moderns favorites. Saw King Kong last fall and The Fellowship recently. Both a blast! Excellent acting

The Maverick puts on great shows that with move your emotions, one way or another. Youll either laugh or cry, but you wont be bored! Ive seen about three shows there so far this year, there are actually two different stages which is really fun and different.

Loved the intimate venue. They made great use of the available stage space and even managed to crash a car through the front wall for one of the scenes. Will definitely be returning to this venue.

The Maverick Theater is always a fun night. Their plays are quirky, inventive, and hilarious. I have seen several musicals at the Maverick over the last 10 years and I am always impressed. I love the intimate feel of the venue and they serve beer and wine. I highly recommend.

Maverick theater is consistently top notch...and off beat. Youre guaranteed to see theater here that you wont find elsewhere with a strong community vibe that doesnt give any ground to quality. One visit will show you that this is a theater that knows its audience...from the personal greetings to the ask on how many years in a row people have come to the given play, you know youre somewhere unique. I look forward to decades to come for the maverick.

Planet 9 show was fabulous! Second time we have seen it and the cast did not disapoint. What was nice is how the change a few scenes to add freshness to the scrip. Thank you for a great time.

Saw Cannibal the Musical here. Loved it so much, weve bought season tickets for last several years. Fantastic performances and direction, season ticket holders get a drink (alcohol if you like) and candy bar, or two of each. Definitely great bang for your buck!Our friends continue to join us and we all love the shows.

Nice place but the performance fell too far on the lewd side for me - I thought about getting a refund but then thought of it more as a charity case.

We were invited by a friend we were pleasantly surprised, such a fun evening. Elvis story was done in a truly enlightening and enjoyable mode, I was impressed by the narrator and Elvis impersonator. We had never experienced a play done in this manner.

Awesome little theater and very nice and accommodating staff. They were nice enough to squeeze my date and I in to see Little Shop of Horrors. I love these kind of theaters because they are all about enjoying the arts. I will definitely be going back.

Exceptional!!! Without a doubt the best small theater in Orange County. They do some of the most wonderful and Innovative shows I have ever seen. Along with a few of the regular favorites. This is a must-see theater.

Maverick is a small, intimate theatre setting with a lot of humor and talent. For a small theatre, they give a great production.

Fun fun fun. A little community theater that is a labor of love for the owner. If youre looking for a good laid back play, this is your place. They serve drinks before the play if you so desire.

This theater puts on unique and funny productions. I always visit when All Puppet Players puts on a muppet style play. Ive seen Les Mis, and Frankenstein and give the shows my highest recommendations. The other plays they show here are equally as hilarious. There are two stages here, one with stadium seating, and one in a small lobby area. The small lobby area seats are pretty uncomfortable and tight. This doesnt affect my 5-star review, but I feel like this should be said knowing that some people have back problems or have trouble sitting in an uncomfortable chair for 2 hours.Ive seldom had trouble finding parking around the theater. Parking is on the street and is free.

Very cute small theater. We watched Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde there and it was amazing! Only seats about 60 people. Plenty of parking by the metro station. Cant wait to go back and watch The man who shot Liberty Valance.
