First time playing this course, very intimidating but its all about getting the ball in play on the fairway.Greens where very soft hence a lot of ball marksPlaying off the gold tees couldnt tee off # 15 tee box, to much over grown bushes in front, why would you leave it like that But a great deal for the over 60sWill come back in the the fall
Course is in rough shape right now for what they are charging. No ranger making sure people are keeping up, no one repairing their ball marks, and grass quality is inconsistent all over the course. Very disappointed, this course used to be immaculate just a few years ago.
Beautiful golf course. Challenging layout. Looking for best value play in LA? Look no further. Join the player’s club for $42 a month and enjoy sharp discount. For example, $20 after 12:00 PST or 1:00 PDT Mon through Thu, $25 Fri, and $30 Sat Sun. $15 after 2:00 PST or 3:00 PDT every day. Best value for the price and the course layout combination. Beautiful sightseeing is an added bonus. A true hidden gem buried in the Brea Canyon.
Very disappointing. Nowhere on the flyer or email did it say we had to pre- register for the movie so we could not stay. My 4 year old granddaughter was so disappointed.
Course is in good condition overall . Most greens in good shape, some little beat up with un fixed/ filled pitch marks. Every decent approach shot made a mark which i fixed. Fairways seem dry little extra roll though but did not find any area that was a problem. Course layout is very challenging on some holes bordering on unfair with sloping fairways which are almost impossible to not go into waste lands. Need good club selection off tee to avoid these areas. Played the blue tees and shot one of my better rounds. Staff is always great and helpful the times i interacted with them.
The course was in good shape. But it was short, only 6500 from the tips limiting the use of driver. Puts premium on accuracy. Our round took almost 6 hours. Golf staff were nice except for the afternoon beverage cart girl, saying she can only give ice only once??!!! Unfortunately there was a wedding that day and the restaurant was not available.
First time playing this course. I must say its a fantastic course. Challenging and beautiful with fantastic views from the high tee boxes. The greens were in great shape and the fairways were well kept. The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. Thanks.
Wow, what a wonderful golf course. Very very challenging, if your ball doesnt land in the fairway or the first cut then the ball is lost. 11 holes have breathtaking panoramic views. Little bit pricey - $90 with cart, but worth it.
If you are a nature lover, this place is perfect for you. You can see city lights from the top and trust me its amazing! This place is calm, windy in the evening. People often enjoy sunset here but I liked the moonrise too!
This was a terrific golf course - challenging, but fair. Many of the holes were quite picturesque with imposing elevation. I took advantage of the aerification (aeration) deal. Regular price is too expensive (for my blood) to play regularly at this venue. The staff is friendly and helpful. At the end of summer, the heat can be distracting. Various water coolers provided the much appreciated hydration. Unfortunately, the sprinklers came on during one of the holes on the back 9. I didnt mind, as the greens and fairways were well-kept and lush. All in all, if you havent played this course before and can afford it, please do so. You wont be disappointed. Its one of the better golf courses in the area.
First off, the course is located in payne stewart way. The practice facility is spacious with driving range and putting green. The course was well maintained and forgiving layout. Tee boxes are tight but wide fairways and big greens. Lots of elevation changes on the course. Overall, fun course and will be back
My sisters wedding venue was Coyote Hills and it was so serene, a waterfall in the background of the set up was so beautiful! Loved the place.
Great outdoor venue for a wedding with waterfalls in the background. Downside? The dancefloor is not at the center of the reception area. Too bad if youre seated at the other end of the hall.
Spectular oceanfront views...
We were there for a wedding. The ceremony was outdoors and the settings was beautiful. The reception room was comfortable and well decorated and the food and service were remarkable.
This a gorgeous golf course right on the border of Brea and Fullerton with some great amenities and an even better course. I come here at least 15 times a year for various networking events (SoCal BNI Rocks and so do the Brea Young Professionals) and I always have a wonderful time.Their food is delicious and the service we receive at our networking events is always top notch. Plus, the Brea Chamber holds their yearly golf tournament here and it always is executed flawlessly. If you havent been, come out and check it for yourself. Youll be happy you did and youll be thanking yourself!
This is a great place to have nice midweek dinner w friends! It does require a membership, I believe, but you live in the area, love golf and would like a to have meal with a very friendly and attentive staff, this is your place!!
My Niece just had her wedding there amazing place beautiful area inside and out
Very pretty setting tonget married at with plenty of parking. Not sure if the food was catered from there but was good too.
My sister recently had her wedding and reception at this classy and very picturesque establishment. Great venue for both, very friendly and attentive staff and great food. I highly recommend the prime rib and the salmon was excellent as well. Thanks for making it memorable for the wedding guests as well as the wedding party.
Hosted a hole at Coyote Hills for a golf tournament. What a beautiful course set on a hill in Fullerton.
I was really impressed on how great and organised everything went, the staff was really polite and courteous everything was just perfect. But most of all stress free.. My cousin Joshuas wedding was one of the nices beautiful wedding Ive attended in many years thank you coyote hills for making there wedding possible. But most importantly memorable EXCELLENT JOB!! 10 STARS
Very nice good course. I recommend going at least once. I go once a year (for the last 4 years) and really enjoy playing here. They have a golf shop with just about anything you would want/need. They also have a food counter for snacks/drinks and food. Lastly, they have a mobile snack cart that comes around about every 45 min. I will definitely be coming back.
Beautiful place for a wedding. The grounds are kept a bright vibrant green, and the staff is polite and very helpful.
Had an awesome time And A very promising probability
Service and quality was not good this year. Our company has had their Christmas party there the last 3 years and the last 2 were very good. We had to clear our own plates, I handful of us after each meal was served, they ran out of coffee cups, & coffee and switch to plastic cups,(really)? The meat was very tough and some of our table their food was cold. Very disappointed this year. It was very unorganized we have to wait a long time to get the wine which was served after the luncheon not serve during. Very slow on the service all the way around. We dont know if you were short this year on servers or if it was just very poorly disorganized. Very disappointing....
Was here for a wedding the hall was large clean and in good condition the staff was friendly and helpful the green looked maintained did not see any dead spots. The fountain and pond did not smell badly like some places. 3 stars because the restrooms could use some attention.
Beautiful course! Friendly staff and clean, well kept course. Will definitely come back for another round.
Attended a wedding there it is beautiful, nice photo opps
Coyote Hills staff keep up the good work...The overall course in great shape.
Didnt golf nor did I attend an event there. I did the floral arrangements for a wedding. Nice banquet hall over-looking the golf course. I felt the space was very narrow and not as spacious as I would like. Just my preference. Hopefully Ill attend an event there soon and then Ill update my review.
Beautiful location for weddings! The layout makes for a really fancy and fun wedding.
Gorgeous scenery, but other guests were rude when passing up our area while presenter speaking. And some of the staff was just as loud. And parking is not great.
No chipping green, bunkers are never raked, and the greens are pretty beat up. Course is unique but has some tricked up holes. Could be a lot better if some rules were put in place to fix the above.
Course conditions were not up to par....especially for the price....normally the course and greens are immaculate.....not this day.
We have had our Disney Club Xmas party here for the past few years & good food with friends.
It used to be top notch. Not anymore and not for the paying green fees
I was a bride not too long ago at this venue. They really ruined my wedding. Many things I am not 100% happy with, but nothing is perfect. But if you are a bride & groom considering this venue, please hear my experience...During my ceremony, they had a microphone malfunction. No one in their team bothered to get a new mic until the very end and it was still a bad microphone. So my entire ceremony was super awkward. Sometimes we had sound, sometimes we didnt. It just goes out every couple of words randomly. It was a horrible experience for my husband and I. And I feel so bad for all the guests that came from all over the world to witness our wedding ceremony in silence!I get that there can be unforeseen technical difficulties, but I dont agree to how coyote hills dealt with the problems. They just push blame on anyone and everyone else. They first said the mic was not theirs, and blamed my officiant for it. But my officiant didnt even bring a mic. After I confirmed with a 3 way email with coyote hills and officiant that the mic was coyote hills, they blamed that my officiant was not using a stand and was holding the mic with her folder. I showed them photos from the ceremony that it was on a stand. After not being able to hide behind this problem, they later blamed my officiant, myself and groom that all 3 of us were pressing the on/off button on the mic accidentally!!? Really?? All 3 of us wanted to mess up the wedding this bad? They also said that in an e-mail saying after supplying the replacement mic, the ceremony went smooth and fine. Which was NOT TRUE - only the beginning of the wedding the mic was working properly, the rest of the wedding 90% of it we were dealing with a malfunction mic. I have videos from my videographer to prove it.And my Ive been emailing them the last couple of weeks, it has been so difficult, they either say they need to figure out what happened or they are out of the office. Every email communication takes a couple of days if not a week. I still have not heard from them, their last email back to me was 7 days ago, and they promised to get back to me by last weekend which is 4 days ago. No response yet.I have other issues and concerns that my guests shared with me. I shared those with them as well. same thing they either blamed me (the bride) or other vendors. I wont list them out. Again I get not everything is perfect, I am ok with that. I just dont like how they deal with the problems when brought up to them. You dont deescalate problems by blaming other people or dodging the issue.I really like the location of this venue, but I feel they need a better team to manage special events. A team thats passionate about work and excited for quality service and hospitality. Because right now my concerns does not feel like its even on their priority list; let alone a priority. Will be posting raw video footage of the ceremony once I get from my Videographer.
Great course. Par 70. Good club house food. And great green conditions. With a fair price.
So far only been to the driving range so far. Very well maintained driving range and friendly staff
Beautiful place for a wedding.
Beautiful!! My father in law had his wedding here...simply gorgeous!!
Another GREAT DAY of golf at Coyote Hills
My daughters wedding was so beautiful ! All of our friends and family loved it too ! I would sudjust this beautiful golf course to any one to have a. wedding here ! Every thing was Awesome ! Thank you for all the staff that helped with the wedding !
First off, this track was extremely fun and challenging. Albeit short, there were limited opportunities to grip it and rip it. Found myself on the tee with less than driver more times than I typically would. Second, this course provides some awesome scenery with a few elevated tee boxes and some sweet water features. Most importantly, the staff was incredible. Oddly enough, we ended up getting paired with a staffer. Bill was the coolest partner Ive ever been paired up with. He, along with the starter were all around awesome people. I would go back to this course for them alone. Overall an awesome experience!!!!!!!
Plenty of holes that challenge you on this Payne Stewart designed course.
Very good experience. Course is in good shape. Only is the softness of the greens. They are so bumpy that the ball does not roll true
Love this course. Wish I could afford to play here more often.
Was there for a 1st birthday party last Saturday and the venue was beautiful. The food was great too! The host ordered the filet with salmon combo and the rice that it came with was so good! That day, there also happened to be another 1st birthday as well and a wedding and the parking lot was packed. Coyote Hills offered free valet which made it so easy!
Awesome, just awesome. What a beautiful course. And everyone was so very nice and helpful. Loved the screens and GPS in the carts! Cant wait to go back and play again soon. Thank you Coyote Hills!
Beautiful golf course and challenging for all skill levels
Its not the cheap mexican ball room youre used to as a hispanic where they serve nothing but carne asada and you have everybody drinking saying yolo because they wanna die already. Cliche music and stuff.
My favorite local course. The view from #7 tee box is breath taking.
Interesting course well maintained, great sr deal with round lunch, range balls
Golf or Wedding, Coyote Hills has it cover for you.
Its a place full of nature. You can relax there.
Gorgeous place for a wedding/reception. Their wedding staff is top notch, very professional and made everything run smoothly with no problems.
Best venue for private party.
Awesome practice facility and great course, green fees might be a little pricey but usually have on going promos.
Very upscale, course looks good.
GREAT PLACE FOR BUSINESS MEETINGS!Meet here on a weekly basis in an awesome room with big windows that looks out on a waterfall..sooo beautiful..just feel good being there. Food is great, better then any other golf club I have been to and the staff is attentive, and much appreciated. Classy place to meet business contacts.
I dont golf but we went to a awards ceremony there for soft ball. The food was very good for a large crowd buffet!
We had our Christmas dinner and we had a great time. The food was good the music was great. They have a beautiful garden. ️
Very well manicured greens and fairways, friendly staff. They say you get what you pay for and thats right on point at this course 95$ for 18 with cart. Ill play here again!!!
Fun course to play. Must hit the ball fairly straight. Scenic views.
Short but technical. Well kept and fun to play. Not a course to walk.
Great course. Layout is very much like a pro/competition course. Outstanding design and condition. Exciting tee shot views as well. Better than I expected. Not as narrow as what people say.
Awesome, anytime your golfing is a good time...
The greens were incredibly fast. Pace of play was good and the course was in good shape. We will definately play here again.
I was impressed it was so beautiful
Great course, tight fairways, fast greens. Some casual water from irrigation. Cart path in the back nine under repair but no warning signs.
Obviously they hate me because I can no longer enjoy the players club. Too popular for me, so they had to limit the benefits and cut me out. Its funny how Coyote hills knew I worked hard to get the by 8:30. So they said lets cut this guy off and make it 8pm so we dont have to see him anymore, and only 1 bucket!! I know the owner has been through some very difficulty times lately, but it seems like he wants everyone to feel pain now. I feel it. I feel the pain. Yeah, it hurts!! Miss you guys!!
I went to a Sunday afternoon wedding here. Nicely kept grounds. The wedding was outside & was quite charming. The indoor reception was wonderful.
Thoroughly enjoyed our Cousins Wedding here.....the location was beautiful with a lush green backdrop, waterfalls, and an adorable bridge! The food was delicious and the service was impeccable!!
Awesome course. Can be a bit pricey during high times, but has great deals on off times.Holes can be challenging but some have amazing views. Very well groomed.Carts each have a GPS computer and electronic score card. Also a cooler with stocked ice.
This review is only for the driving range. It is a decent range with targets and a nice down slope to make distance easier because this range seems more geared towards accuracy. The problem I had was that it was capacity so I didnt have a choice of my tee box and mine didnt have a tee stand. So, I couldnt use my driver. Which was ok. Not a huge problem. I did get my entire bucket for free because of some malfunction. I think its only like a buck though. But still, free is free. I just wishi could have used my driver.
Great golf course and hard to play but the views are wonderful
Beautiful country club. The wedding area is very beautiful. The food was great. Service was okay. Would love to go golfing there 1 day
Wedding Venue Review:Ambiance and setting are A+: The look of the venue is very important. The major reason I chose Coyote Hills for our wedding is because of their beautiful outdoor ceremony site which overlook a waterfall. The site did not disappointment and all of our guests rave about how amazing the venue looks.Staff is A+: We initially worked with Robyn and was then transitioned to Cody. Both were extremely pleasant to work with and very professional. I had a lot of questions and changes throughout and they patiently answered all of our questions and made the updates necessary.Food is a C at best: While we understand that its hard to cook for 220 guests, their kitchen is supposed to be pros. The horderves are good, but their salad and main courses were not so much. We had two main course choices - filet mignon and white fish. We asked for medium for the filet mignon, but maybe 25% came out at medium, 75% were well done or way beyond well done. The white fish was also overcooked and was really dry to eat. Although food is not the most important thing in a wedding, I still felt a bit ashamed for serving my guests this level of food, especially considered how much weve paid. I had read other reviews which complements their food quality, which I did not understand. Maybe this speaks to their lack of consistency in food quality.
Great golf course, the dinner was great, and great service.
Nice greens and great 18 holes
I heard great things about this golf course. First impressions were fantastic. Pro shop staff were fantastic, some other staff werent. Tee off time was @12:40pm and was told to hurry and get to the tee box as the other playing group was ready to go, this was at 12:20pm. Needless to say I wasted $10 on a bucket of range balls. Course is a tough challenge with some tight elevated holes, however some holes are a bit ridiculous! You cannot see where your ball lands half the time so you better hit it straight or youll chew through balls. Greens roll true and extremely fast. Great course but not worth 4 1/2 stars.
Beautiful, fun golf course! For the cost of playing a round, Coyote Hills is at, or near the top of my list in terms of beauty, playability, fun factor, time per round (being right around 4 hours most times ive played) and challenge. It is a great course, worth the drive, worth the cost of green fees and always a blast whether I play well or not.
For weddings.. wow! I am a professional photographer and all I can say is every time I have shot at Coyote Hills Golf Course the venue leaves me breathless! Its beautiful rolling hills.. gorgeous creek that runs through the main areas, its stunning waterfall area that sets the background for the main ceremony site are all reason why this is such an amazing place to get married. The lighting that comes through there is magical!! A+ venue for sure!
Course is kept very nice and everything looked fantastic. It is also very narrow, so plan on bringing plenty of balls to get you through the day.
Very fun course. Recommend it
Well kept course, greens play true. Found sand a couple of times but it was fluffy so easy to get out. Front nine is spectacular with elevated tee boxes and views over to Long Beach and DtLA. Hole 7 kills me every time. Back nine is less memorable but still plenty of good play. The approach to the clubhouse is very pretty and makes an excellent backdrop for photos.
Good course. Greens were nice. Good range. Very short. Only used my driver three times
If you are up to the membership that offers you two free baskets/day, you need to be ware of that he machine is often out of order and it will make you waste your time. The thing is that is because sometimes the staff(old white guy) in the driving range manages the ball distribution by lying that machine is not working. I’ve seen him two times in a week that he let someone get the balls and some don’t by saying the machine is not working. He shouldn’t lie to customers.
If they ask me to come back to play, my answer is YES!! well maintained, friendly crews. And beautiful courses. Thank you. I had a great time and enjoyed.
Nice course, it was strangely difficult to get a beverage though. The beverage cart never ce through even though we used the on cart request system. Then when we finished the 9th hole the snack bar was closed.
I dont know about the golf but this is a great place to have a wedding
Was here for a wedding. What an experience! The grounds are beautiful and tranquil. Great views in Orange County and the staff is very helpful. Rueben was the staff director of the event and he was awesome.
Was here for a wedding. Beautiful scenery.
I was very impressed really very beautifulPlace to have a wedding or get together
One of the best public golf courses in socal. Not meant for long hitters, meant for the pure ball strikers and 2 putters. If you decide to play this course for the first time, I suggest that you play it Smart and go for PAR. Birdies will come when you get the ball I regulation, a couple drivable par 4s but its best to lay up.
Im not a golfer so I dont play. Place looks amazing though... I only rode past it on my mountain bike.
