A very unique and special experience while in Front Royal. The Beer Museum not only offers s big variety of crest brews from all over the state of VA, but it also showcases the beverages history from prohibition to its legalization and popularity. They dont serve food but you can order delivery from a few local places or even bring your own from the many restaurants just steps away on the Main St. Outdoor area often also features local music.

You can sip a porter crafted with George Washingtons recipe while you wander through exhibits ranging from the role beer played in Americas founding to the mass produced light beer domination and the subsequent craft beer revolution. Great space...very informative and educational. A great portrayal of beer in Virginia from the first European settlers at Jamestown to the modern day craft beer boom! In addition, a well curated list of craft beers are available in the tavern! A worthy visit for sure if you find yourself in Front Royal.

Vast selection of beers and there are always events going on. The staff is fun and willing to please. There is some history to be learned as well. If you just want a pint and a porch to sit on this is the spot. The beer garden in the back is a work in progress but seems like it will be a positive addition.

Wish there was some more substance from this place, but its falling just short of calling itself a museum. The beer was decent their lay back atmosphere was awesome, but the decor and history felt like a last minute college project. The staff was nice and they are dog friendly. Ill be back and hope they add some more clout to add to their name.

This is a great place to learn a bit about the great history of beer. They bring together more than a dozen Virginia brews and ciders and have a nice humidor so you can enjoy a stick on the porch in a comfy rocking chair with your class. Will definitely be back many times.

A great little gem in Front Royal. I like that you can grab a beer to take with you thru the museum. This place is loaded with lots of nostalgia (obviously, right?), but I loved the old-timey beer commercials where favorite cartoon characters, like the Flintstones, are pushing their fave beer. Classic!

The bar tender was very knowledgable. 4 stars. But if this isnt one of the worst abuses of false advertising...i dont know what is...2 stars...maybe even 1.5...Tongue in cheek, i like the beer and its a nice place. We’ve seen the light - and not the light beer! Thanks Dave for an incredible tour. We were so lucky that Dave saw us peeking in the window, lamenting the fact that the museum didn’t open until 4. Dave opened the door to let us in from the cold and what a great surprise. The museum has a great collection of artifacts and beer memorabilia and Dave was a fantastic tour guide! Plus you can drink throughout your tour so we took our beers with us. Don’t miss the Beer Museum on your next visit.

My husband, Bill, and I visited a few days ago just after the museum opened for the day. Had a great time discussing Front Royal and Virginia beer history. Loved all the beer era rooms in the museum. Cant wait to come back when the Prohibition era room is complete. Great beer selection! And I was more than happy to purchase a shirt and wear it proudly the next day at a wine event in Dayton.

Small and quaint. They have about 15 different beer selections that are all local micro brews from Virginia. The locals were inviting and friendly. Nick was awesome and was very informative about the history of the museum and all the brews they had. Not a lot to see at the museum, but we still had fun chatting with everyone in the small renovated saloon. Definitely a good spot to stop and enjoy a unique brew. First brew is $9 if u want to keep the glass and everyone after that is $7. You can also rent a glass. Thats $7 and then $7 for every brew after that.

I stumbled across this place on their grand opening, while walking downtown. What a pleasant surprise! If you are a beer enthusiast you will appreciate the attention to detail and the unique atmosphere. If you are a history buff, you will find interesting facts about local ale history. This little spot is truly one of a kind, and the selection of local craft brews was excellent. The museum volunteers were friendly and knowledgeable. I hope the concept is received well and wish them success with their launch.
