Very nice establishment. I had the breakfast burrito and it was delicious! Shared a pitcher of pineapple and cranberry mimosas which were not strong but the waitress told us how to order it next time for a better price and experience. Great brunch spot, I will definitely be going back!
In these covid19 times, I really liked that they kept their safety measures tight. You had to have a mask to get in and stay inside, except out on the patio, which is understandable because there is enough air to circulate clean oxygen when outside. I loved the ambience, however service sucked, the wait for my food was too long. Matter of fact, I had to check on my order multiple times and eventually placed a whole new order. The waitress who took my order initially never came back to me, not even with an apology. If you are too busy, reassign the table to another person who can help out and come back to the customer to apologize and update them. I used to be a server so I know what should be done. Not sure if that is how the service generally is, but I will try out the place one more time to give benefit of the doubt. I will be back with an update.
This place is more about the ambience. The food quality was your typical bar restaurant quality, not amazing, but also not terrible. I got the brisket enchiladas with saffron rice and black beans. The black beans were more like soup and the rice wasn’t as great of a compliment to the brisket enchiladas as I thought. Overall the vibe was nice inside the restaurant, great place for happy hour and kicking with friends.
The wait wasn’t too terrible, food was ok. Did not like my entree and appetizers came out at the same time. The drinks and view were the absolute best. Fun, low key atmosphere. I look forward to my next visit.
More tables were added in the dance floor section. Don’t expect to get crunk here, pretty much everyone is pushed out into the balcony. Good music but y’all need to work something to keep the people here. We left after 30 minutes.
We went to Concrete Cowboy and first had to wait for so long to get seated. When we finally got seated the chairs were soaked and the host didnt bother to wipe them for us. No server came to help us. We asked another server who was handling another table and they seemed so unfriendly. The first few minutes experience was so bad that we walked out of the restaurant and went to sushi marquee across. That restaurant and a fantastic customer service and great food. The staff at concrete cowboy was super unfriendly and they did not even care to ask why we are leaving. That just says a lot about the management. Not coming back here for sure!.
It was okay, good looking waitresses, but dont think I will go out of my way to go back . They dont sell no Budweiser so thats a big negative in my book !!!
Great scene. Chill n upbeat all in one. Classier customers than a regular bar/ club. The music was constant and some room to dance. More of a vibe like you would see in Uptown. All age groups, but mainly mid 30s and up. Attentive waitresses and bartenders. The waitresses wear a bikini type of an ensemble with fishnets. If constant eye~candy is your thing, the staff alone will suffice.
Last night I had an excellent time in this place while I was at the bar, excellent attention ... today, after I had more than an hour sitting at the bar eating and drinking some beer, they decided to charge 50 dollars for the position, really?... 50 bucks for the chair, really? This seemed terrible to me and a lack of respect as a client and tourist
Ive been here several times but finally writing a review. Probably pone of CV the best and largest chicken fried steaks you will ever eat. The peppercorn gravy is amazing. This dish comes with green beans and great mashed potatoes with skin on. My friend had the street tacos and margarita. Great value and the barbacoa was exceptionally good! Good vibe and popular hapoy hour spot it seems. Highly recommend it. You will not regret it. It is lively and loud as you might expect from a sports bar.
Literally the worst concrete I have ever been to. I waited in line for over an hour to get in and as I approached the door he let my friends in that were in front of me and said I could not come in because of my sandals. Granted, my friend in front of me was wearing the exact same shoes. I asked him why he was stopping me and not my friends and asked if it was based on my appearance. He said “he must not have noticed their shoes” I felt highly discriminated against based on my looks and it ruined my night. When I was inside the club multiple girls were wearing flip flops. You guys need to get it together... I would strongly urge others to go to other bars instead of this one. Absolute worst experience ever.
Great atmosphere! The outside patio was nice and overlooked all the hustle and bustle of The Star. Great people watching!
Amazing spot for Sunday funday! Amazing waiters and service !
A very nice, upscale restaurant and nightclub in the heart of Frisco at the Star. Prices for food are reasonable, service can be hit or miss depending on how busy they are. Suburban and exurban families bringing children in can be very annoying as this is clearly targeted for the 25-45+ crowd with disposable income. Parking is easy and the restaurant and bar is always immaculately clean and smells amazing.Staff and servers are attractive, knowledgeable and attentive. The menu is solid, a little something for everyone. Music policy is pop, hip hop and dance, so a little something for everyone. A little less hip hop would keep some of the lower class types that have been coming in droves lately. A dress code might be necessary after 10pm to keep it classy and worth the prices they are charging for bottle service and drinks. The outdoor patio is absolutely amazing, with great views of The Star, outdoor games and plenty of space to have drinks and laughs. All in all, this place clearly has the hottest nightlife in the area along with VNYL at Legacy. For an all inclusive date night, you can pop in around 8pm for dinner, and then transition to the bar for drinks and dancing when the lights turn down. Highly recommended.
Tons of tvs, can get fairly packed. So get there early. Especially on Cowboys game days.
The bouncer claimed there was a dress code but wouldn’t tell us what the dress code was. Seems like it should be on the website if there is a dress code, or they should look into hiring a new bouncer. Can’t give this place my money if I can’t get in.
WORST PLACE! Dont think you can get in here... they will take $100 for you to sit at a table... then they have another guy come and act like you didnt pay anything to get in there. Will never go back!!!
We had drinks there. Drinks seem overpriced considering the lack of alcohol and so much ice they put in a vodka/ tonic drink.
We definitely thought we were too old to come here but we have had a blast! Perfect to pop over and have a few drinks after dinner! Ask for Anastasia! She never lets your drink run out! Not only is she super attentive but she is the sweetest girl and has brought us back two weekends in a row! Thank you for everything Anastasia!
Fantastic service, the shrimp bites are amazing, I go there every time am in the area! Excellent place!!
Bar staff seemed oblivious to half the bar while they were attentive and chatty with the other half. It took WAY too long to be serviced, so much so that when the guy next to us finally got waited on, he gave the bartender our order and someone elses as we werent sure when she would be back! The crowd was mixed but on the younger side which is different from previous visits.
So you are in the club and you get out for like a minute to say hi to a friend and then they wont let you back in. What a joke and unprofessionalism. And I had a booth reservation, and spent some decent money in there. Learn how to treat your customers.
Concrete Cowboy is really nice! The service was also really good as well!I tried the Fried Macaroni, which was super amazing! Ive added the picture of them!My husband tried out the chicken quesadillas and he also loved them!I feel like this place has such a great environment for getting together with friends! I definitely recommend it!
The staff at the Frisco location are some of the most unprofessional people I have ever encountered. The guys at the door checking ID’s are allowing people to skip the line if they pay them more than $20 per person under the table. These guys pocket all the money. If you tell them you have no interest in paying and stand in line they then wait for you to get to the front of the line and tell you they can’t let you in because the guy/girl ratio is off. In our case we had three guys and three girls which is a pretty even ratio. The fact of the matter they didn’t let us In because we refused to pay them the money they wanted to pocket. It’s baffling that the owners and management allow this type of behavior.
Great place great food cool vibes
Recently visited Concrete Cowboy for a work event and overall had a good experience. The atmosphere is very cool and this would be a great place to watch a game with friends. The bar was not crowded at since it was a Wednesday night, and overall we had good prompt service. The food and beverage selection were fine but nothing that will blow your socks off.
I went to concrete cowboy for the first time on Thanksgiving. I went with the Thanksgiving special and it was superb. The bartenders looked skilled and one of the bartenders, Cory Coder, asked me what I wanted and I told him whatever he thinks is good. He whipped some drinks up he said he liked and I was impressed. He was also very quick with the drinks as well. The bartenders are very friendly and cool to talk to while eating or drinking. Though Im sure it will be a little different when its really busy there.Overall, I had a great experience at Concrete Cowboy and will definitely return.
You need to tell the ownerThey are getting a lot of complaints on line aboutGoing over 50 percent and people waiting at the bar. There have been complaints to the TABC.Just a heads upThe TABC is getting serious.I had a good time there but it was too crowded for me since a lot of people I know are now in the hospitals recently.
Great that it is at the Star, but the food wasnt that great and the music was too loud for a Tuesday evening with 5 tables there. Not a Saturday night party!
My 1st time visting. I enjoyed the brisket nachos & frose.
The Concrete Cowboy is an excellent sports bar on the second floor of one of the Dallas Cowboys Star development. The venue has both indoor and outdoor dining, an excellent selection of food and adult beverages served by an attractive and attentive wait staff. I had the chicken Cobb salad and my guest had the pork rib dinner. Both excellent. Highly recommend a stop here.
We had the worst service and experience. No social distancing, no wearing of masks, no following of COVID protocols. It’s a health hazard and we will 100% never return. They need to be shut down.
Why are the girls here so rude?Food was okay.
Good cocktails. Food was good too, but I just got a pretzel appetizer
The drinks were way OVERPRICED!! The music was good till about 11 pm when all of a sudden they began playing hip hop. Im not into hip hop and it totally killed the vibe! This place also has NO COAT CHECK! This is absurd because if youre coming here during winter season youll end up having to carry your coat. The outside patio area is nice and offers games with nice views of the Ford Center.
Food and drinks were delish ! For sure will be back . Love the outdoor patio.
Terrible service. Non existent wait staff, extremely slow service. Food was burned and vegetables were wilted and not fresh. All Pepsi drinks were flat, even after replacing twice. Waitress only came by to deliver check. Manager had to take order and bus boy had to swap drinks. Stay away from this place!
Went for dinner, the food was great, but this is definitely a club.
Nothing not to like! Great location, great atmosphere.
Great wait staff.
I went for ladies night out to this place but you need to get a table for 300 and something dollars to stay inside. We left
Sat at the bar 20 mins. 4 bartenders, was never offered service whatsoever or even spoken to .
Food is pretty good. Really a club. I didnt expect that. It seems like the music is targeted for 30-40s. Im not used to the club seen and had to get used to yelling to the person I was talking to lol... Good customer service.
This place charged me and one friend a 20% service charge and then printed the receipt as if tip wasnt included. We were not part of a larger group; this was during the Gold Cup soccer match: Brazil v Argentina. Why did the managers feel the need to enforce gratuity for a bar full of Hispanic people? I looked at a single patrons bill and saw the same added service charge. Disgusting.
Good food, especially the chicken fried steak. Kitchen NEVER disappoints! First rate...The negatives here are the bartenders:The bartenders here are some of the worst in the area (I go out a lot): indifferent, avoidant, and rarely check in on you...I just watched two bartenders tonight check in on their smartphones more than checking in on this corner of the bar. Their tips are being adjusted accordingly.Great large TV screens and awesome atmosphere— just don’t expect great service from the bartenders-
Wendy was one of the beat servers Ive had here come see her!!!
Horrible customer service, rude staff, And they rip their customers off
Awesome time! Great atmosphere, bumpin music after 10, and excellent service. Cory was a phenomenal host and entertainer.
There are 6 in my party. 4 of us got served quickly. We were 1/2+ finished when the other 2 were served. The food was delicious, even the Mac & cheese!
We had a terrible experience with the manager on Sunday. My family (including my wheelchair bound grandfather and my husband who is a disabled veteran with a service dog) was told that we would be required to sit outside because we had my husbands service dog with us. After explaining the ADA laws to the manager she still refused to seat us inside. I watched her roll her eyes and walk away from my husband while he was trying to speak to her twice. I was appalled at the discrimination and her lack of compassion. I have contacted the GM with no response. Not friendly to disabled veterans, not service dog friendly. I would not recommend this restaurant. If I could have left zero stars I would have.
Today was my first time at concrete cowboy with my coworkers for lunch today. Waitress was good at first. That changed throughout our lunch. First, She did not check on us and would had to ask her to refill for water which should be an automatic refill. There were times we had to wait for at least 20 minutes for water after we asked her to refill. When we asked her about her busy day, she was defensive in stating “was there something you need” instead of responding respectively with I’m sorry. It made it seem we as customers were an inconvenience to her and she stated she would make money with her other customers. Good attitude and respect goes a long way. This restaurant lack those things. I’m sad to say this will be the first and last time at this restaurant.
They gave me a table and no waiter came the table for 35 min until I had to order at ek Bar. But the food is great.
Came here for the FCS National Championship game and was not disappointed with the pregame party the night before the big game. The bar was packed but overall we got good service considering the amount of people, and the rooftop patio adds a nice touch with a view.
You have to wait half an hour to get in and leave them money, too arrogant.
The ceviche is so bomb!! Everythings great!!
Good food n drinkins
Very nice place to visit with your friends and family.I enjoyed every minute I was over there, cant wait to go back.Love it
I’ve been here a couple of time in the past, but will not be going back anymore after an awful experience. It was a Saturday night and I went with a few friends to enjoy the night out. We had a few drinks and were dancing. On my way back from the bathroom I was pushed out of the way by one of the bouncers/servers. I turned around and I guess he was having a bad day. I then responded with ”what’s your problem?” he put his finger in my face and yelled threatened to kick me out. He said I can’t be standing in walk ways. I was not standing I was waiting for a group of people to pass so I could continue on back to my group of friends(the place get pack). After trying to explain that to him he took that as me arguing. He was extremely aggressive and unprofessional. After that we left and won’t be going back. If you want to have a good night I suggest finding it somewhere don’t waste your time or money here. In the picture is the worker who was mentioned.
Great food and great service
This is a decent bar/club. They have lots of TVs so you can watch sports. Drinks and food were pretty pricey. Great atmosphere for the younger crowd.
I would rate a zero if I could! I will never return to this establishment! The waitress Anastasia overcharged me for a tip/amount that I did not authorize to my debit card despite receiving a cash tip. I discovered the transaction a few days later and immediately called the restaurant to speak with a manager; only to be told they were all in a meeting and this is after 6pm at night. My name and number was taken and was told that Id get a call back but never did! This is not a good look guys! She came across as nice and sweet like a butterfly but ended up stinging like at bee at the end after all was said and done! Very disappointed!
Had dinner before 9pm, was good, nice atmosphere . I get it the place turns into a club after 9pm, but the bouncer felt he needed to remind us that we had to leave the table at 9:35pm because they needed to time to set the table for the 10pm VIPs. How long does it take them to set a table? Lol
Great food, friendly staff, cool atmosphere, excellent beer choices
Not a bad place to hang out in Frisco but they kill the vibes when they play edm dance music and limited table service
We went here as a corporate event, to celebrate an award ceremony &let me tell you, it was a very fun &chill place! I will most definitely come by &party there again!
Brisket and Barbacoa enchiladas are Amazing!!! The sauces that come with the Mac n Cheese squares are great by themselves but get the squares.
Long line to start they had multiple heaters outside and not one of them turned on for the guest that had been waiting in line over an hour. After entering you feel like you may run into your grandma... so if your over 35 this is the spot to be it will make you feel young again but if your under 35 head out to Dallas to be where you don’t have to worry about some one breaking a hip.
Not Happy Said Dress Code But Others Got In
Always a great place to hangout and have fun..friendly great customer service.
Cory is the best and hottest bartender amazing service 10/10 recommend!!
Nice, a little more up scale than the one in dallas.
Great place. Loved the location and atmosphere. Food was pretty good. I wouldve given this place four (4) stars... But one thing bothered the whole group of 20 people I was with, was the darn DJ SUCKED!!! He was playing some great songs BUT he would cut the song off (change songs) way too quickly leaving everyone in a confused mode instead of really enjoying themselves through the music. DJ need to improve on timing, mixing and fading..
Brooke was awesome. Nice casual place for burgers and brew
Great food, fun atmosphere, loud however, huge portions.
Great lunch options, excellent bar staff. Very nice place to grab a burger or something quick. The cowboy poppers are awesome. My only negative is no Guinness.
Kind of bummed about the dress code. They say no Timberlands or court shoes which is indicative of them trying to target a specific audience from entering the venue. After convincing security that we are from out of town they let us in and ofcourse I was compelled to see what others had on and ofcourse you had folks in there in dirty tennis but since they werent jordans they were allowed in. This place gets an F in my book. Keep the standards universal. Then they tried to charge us $650 for a bottle of Titos yes Titos to get a table. I asked another group who didnt look like me and they were only charged the traditional $150 for a more premium vodka.
Cool venue, not exactly cheap, but good whiskey selection and friendly service.
The area was extremely nice! Drinks were great also. Id love to visit on a weekend next time.
This is a place that focuses totally on their staff JUST looking good. They need to train on service. NO HOSPITALITY AT ALL, The SERVICE IS HORRIBLE, and the food is Blah, it’s just okay. This is a place for Drinks Only!
Tonight on my birthday, that my brother drove 2 hours for and another couple drove 3, they wouldn’t let my boyfriend in because of his shoes. He had on a very expensive ($165) pair of Nike high top shoes on that are considered a casual boot. They said they were “basketball shoes” and against their dress code. Now I completely understand that they have a policy in place for whatever reason but there was a man already inside that had high tops on. So I took a picture of the mans shoes and asked the hostess about it which I then was accused of harassing them. I asked a simple question. The rather large security man with the beard claiming to be the manager, was very rude about the situation accusing us of harassing when he was outside the entire time and didn’t even hear what I asked the hostess. And to top it off as we were leaving they let a man in that was also wearing hightops (Jordan’s) which are an actual “basketball” shoe. Horrible experience, poor professionalism, and lack of respect is how I would sum this place up. Happy birthday to me...
