I have been to the San Diego zoo and the LA zoo, but this place has so much to offer and is just a delight to be at and having a great family day. I am so shocked and thrilled at the amount of animal enrichment, and habitat quality and care that the zookeepers provide for all of their animals needs both physically and mentally. My family and I enjoyed this zoo and continue to contribute to this amazing zoos potential to the Central valley.

Flat out great zoo, and should be for a city this size. The Sea Lion Cove is an award winning presentation.Im sure the African Savannah will also win some kind of zoo awards too.The African Savannah cabana food court is incredible. Great spot to rest up.The LIVE bird show everyday, is over the top great. Maybe my fave. The walk through bird cages are as good as any zoo in CA.You can spend the better part of a day here. Also, if you like taking photos of flying birds, the park pond outside the zoo is the best action around. Many different varieties.

Very busy and noisy zoo. But there are a lot of animals and exhibits. Very long wait to get in so I recommend buying tickets online beforehand.Even their Giraffe feeding and string ray petting was open during COVID. So that was fun! There are also two bird exhibits that you can walk in with the birds. The animals looked healthy and most looked happy. The dinosaur park was a bit boring, wish it was more interactive but it was cute.

Really really great experience. Could use a little bit more funding due to lack of space for the animals. I honestly think zoos should be huge and big so the animals have more space to run around and exercise. It seems like they were more occupied on building structures for people and customers instead of the animals. Theres a crapload of parking spaces that could be modified or turned into more animal exhibits.

I love going to the zoo but today it was me and my sister, now is in a electric chair, some of the rail are at the eye sight were it was hard to see. That is not all you had to go through the picnic area after the giraffes and that was hard to do. I think you need to have someone take a trip around the zoo in a chair. By the way she has MD so its a little hard to get around. And just a little note you need to swipe the walk way around the seals it was pretty slipper and I was wearing shoes not saddles. Thanks had a great time.

This zoo is so big, so you get a lot of exercise. Wear tennis shoes. So much interaction for the kids even Durning a pandemic! They have sanitizing stations everywhere and they have signs to remind you to wear masks. They take precautions to make sure people are six feet apart. Right now in the month of September through December theyre going to have a dinosaur exhibition after those months it will be removed it really is cool and Worth to see theres even some dinosaurs that spray you with water. There is a food court you can relax and eat your food and theres a separate part to the food court where you could take your children and give them a bottle or help them nap or breastfeed your children. The bathroom seemed pretty clean it looks like they tend to them regularly. All the animals seem to be out and enjoying the warm weather they have misters for them or little waterfalls or some sort of water interaction so that they stay cool. You could feed the stingrays feed the giraffes for a couple of dollars per person. Right now you can not feed or pet the goats and sheep because of the covid 19. There is a play area thats currently closed for kids that is a water park the only thing available on it is the shower heads that you can use to cool down. The ice cream cones are only a dollar and they fill them up and put them also in a cup so its basically like ice cream for two people for only $1. the sea lions are very active and I would suggest going underneath where the little cave area is so you can see them swimming underwater its a great picture opportunity. They have little stands where you can pose for pictures everywhere! The family pass sis worth the money if you go frequently. If you love animals theres definitely lots to look at and theyre very interactive. I personally had a nice experience with a macaw in the rainforest area if you say hello to him he will say hello back or if you dance and tell him to dance with you hell dance back.

Beautiful and well maintained zoo. Lots of space between exhibits to space yourself away from other families. Several outdoor dinning options, hand sanitizer station easliy available and clean restrooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful for the most part. We did have a very negative experience at the giraffe feeding. The giraffes themselves where awsome. You can get up close to see them. Where it went wrong was the very rude and unhelpful paid staff. They clearly need more training in customer service. It was not organized and no signs to where you should stand or park your stroller. The hand sanitation was placed after the lettuce pick up area so you had to walk to that point then go back to pick up the lettuce. The staff was barking out orders. A few signs and proper placement of items would have made it easier on everyone. At one point we were the only ones in the pavilion so it was not like the staff had a lot to do. It just needs to be better organized so you know what to do. Otherwise the feeding of the giraffes was interesting. The volunteer staff was great. They specifically explained what we should do and told us about the animals. Overall the zoo was really fun and a great place to spend the day.

Fresno Zoo is a pretty fun and open space perfect for family trips! Even during the pandemic, the park is open for all to enjoy as long as you bring a mask. The park does limit how many people can enter in at one time, however so there can be a very long line for anyone who wants to buy their ticket there. Despite that though, most of the animals are still there and a new exhibit will be coming in next year!

It was clean and staff was great but the enclosures are way too small. The tiger was so stressed it was pacing terribly, overly skinny as well. Tbh a lot of animals seemed small in size compared to others. Quite a few had such depressed, sad faces, and were constantly pacing, it broke my heart!! The tiger was the saddest of them all If you cant handle seeing animals in stress this isnt the place to go right now, maybe itll change once they finish construction on the new habitat. Zoo needs to make better enclosures so the animals arent so depressed asap.

We love bringing our little ones to this zoo. The giraffe feeding is the favorite stop for our family. Going to pet the farm animals isn’t quite hitting the list yet at least. We love stopping by to see the tiger, rhinos, and the elephants. There are a lot of animals to see and the enclosures are well kept. Not only that but the zoo keepers are highly knowledgeable. The cafe at the zoo is great also with tasty and healthy options for kids and parents. The membership is well worth and has paid for itself many times over with the number of times we go a year. Not only that but the entrance line for members is always much shorter or nonexistent. The Fresno zoo is a great place to spend time as a family.

So I recently decided to take my kids to the zoo. I thought it would be cool for them to see some of the animals that grace our TV screen with their own two eyes. I got to experience the SF zoo and I loved every minute of it. When we got there I instantly loved the realistic layout of every animals enclosure. The zoo seemed well kept and the animals looked healthy and vibrant. That was until we got to the Tiger. First of all he was pacing back and forth obviously stressed but that I could have overlooked because its common for some animals to become stressed in captivity. The thing that nipped and pulled at my heart strings was his frail extremely thin stature. He looked severely malnourished and it literally broke my heart to see him in such a state. It really bothered me to show my kids this Tiger (especially since he was one of animals they were looking forward to seeing). I never had a negative thought about animals in zoos but seeing him made it clear what PETA had been preaching all these years. Kind of ruined my perception of the zoo and I dont think Ill be going to the zoo anytime soon. Just my opinion.
