Gorgeous architecture and interior design of historic value. A blessing to have been privy to watch a film there. What an experience! A well organized event, fun drinks and snacks, smooth flow of traffic, for the most part, nice large screen, comfortable seats. Not one complaint! I wish I could go more frequently.

Older theater with beautiful painted ceiling! We saw a Pink Floyd Light show that was amazing! Bathrooms definitely need an overhaul first!

They showed a screening of purple rain. This is my first time being there. They are a nonprofit raising funds to restore the historic theater. This place has a lot of space do you have your future events including a dance floor. I and the Fresno purple family had a great time

On my way to work a guy hit and ran my car. The crest employees where so wonderful and gave me a place to sit and Walter while the cops and paramedics check me out. Extremely nice people thank you

Its not just the history of this place, its the community that really makes me love coming here. Its a triumph of Fresnos cultural identity and I hope the renovation goes well! Be sure to catch your favorite seasonal movies on the big screen, my fave is the spooky Halloween movies!

The best $6 movie theater in Fresno/Clovis! Uncut diamond kind of beauty--this theater is a Fresno Gem that just needs some investment in love. Meanwhile, the bones, the architectural details and art deco decor make for a very fun movie going experience. $6 movie, sodas, popcorn, and beers! What more could you ask for? Comfy seats, big screen, the sound was amazing. Will definitely be going back. All downtown parking is free after 6pm and free on weekends (do watch out during the summer---this may not be the case during big events at the ball park) come and enjoy a really great downtown movie theater .

Historic and beautiful. They do a lot of cheap and family friendly events as well! They are raising money for restoration purposes, so that is where donations and money goes!

This was my first time being there. Took the kids to Harry Potter. Friendly staff. We had a great time and even won a raffle prize.

These guys show movies from the 80s, 90s and older. Great classics that we all grew up with!! A must stop on a Friday night.

This place has the potential to be an absolutely beautiful theater in Fresno. We need this place as an option in this town.Please support them with their Friday night movies and/or any event they host. This generates the money needed for restoring it to the beauty it once was.Grab dinner downtown then go see a movie!

Good place go see old movies.. it needs a lot of cosmetically work inside.and out side.. it brings back memories when I used to see movies there when I was little. If u remember the wiz movie with diana Ross and Michael Jackson..thats when I saw it there.and movie thank god its Friday.

Love this place. The old Crest theater has a lot of history behind it. We love that they show old movies on Fridays and Saturdays. We saw Poltergeist and Lost Boys. The theater atmosphere is rich with history and fun. Its laid back during movies too.

They are really trying to turn this place around. They are showing old movies to raise money to renovate this old theater. They are doing av great job. Just wish it wasnt so cold. Id hate to see what its like in the summer.

The outside doesnt do the inside justice. The inside theatre is very nice with a classy artistic ceiling. I went there today and Denise (I think Im spelling her name right) was kind enough to give me a tour before the theater opened to the public.

I like how they are trying to keep this theatre alive. It seems like a big job but if youve ever been inside youd know why its worth it. They have random movie viewings and its kid friendly.

Beautiful theater, nice staff, and a wonderful experience. I strongly recommend you go here to watch a movie. Dont forget a blanket!

NOT SAFE!They play old movies but thats about all they have going for them. The carpeting was tattered and wrinkled, causing tripping hazards especially for the impaired and elderly. The isle seats are situated over floor lights that get very hot, making the bottom of the seat dangerously hot, especially for little children, and causing discomfort to those sitting in isle seats. Speaking of the seats, they are not in any way accomidating for anyone that is of medium build or larger. The arm rests dig into your sides and hips. I cant imagine how much pain a plus sized person would be in, seeing as a medium build person is already uncomfortable, so its definitely not very inclusive. The staff was very blunt and standoff ish, and no wonder, when the person who runs the place gets on stage before the show and berates them, telling everyone that they are volunteers so they are lazy. He also went on to tell the crowd that they are looking into having the sign out front restored and it will cost a quarter of a million dollars to fix. Why are they focusing on the sign when the carpeting and floor lights are hazardous and the seats clearly cater to the petite crowd? I was disappointed by the experience, especially at the price point, for such poor service. I wont be back.

The air conditioning works well but everything else is kind of in disrepair. Im glad we saw the artist come to town, just didnt feel like this subtle gem on the outskirts of downtown really showcases whats available in this city.

This downtown historic theatre has some beautiful bones. They are working on renovating & renewing her back to her original glory. Please visit & help the friends of the Crest Theatre bring her back.

Its really nice to come to an old-style theater. Reminds me of when I was a kid going to the movie theater and how Grand it was. I brought my 13 year old daughter to watch one of my favorite movies Forrest Gump.

Great place to take in some culture and history. Older theater, I wish they had the money for the restoration.

It was cool, they just had a concert, Cake a nineties group, and was getting ready for there weekend movie.

The crest was very friendly and nice free movies occasionally needs lots of restoration work I recommend people going down there the blast from the past theyve done a lot of good work to it already any donations or investors they could get would be great I recommend anybody going down there downtown Fresno is looking much nicer

Its an very old movie theatre that is rarely used anymore. I remember it since I was a kid. It is older than me. And I am 61 years old.
