In 1888, Dr. Thomas Richard Meux’ 16-room Victorian mansion became a reality. It is as impressive today as it was over a century ago. The Meux Home is a tribute to gothic Victorian architecture and hospitality. As our guest, you’re invited to enjoy a guided tour of the house, as well as stroll the beautiful garden.Tours take 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your pace. You’ll see all the best in architecture, artwork, and much more from the Victorian Age.

This house is amazing. Went a few times with my kids on field trips, even the kids enjoyed it. I’m so glad they have Historical Places like this to show how people lived way back in time. Very interesting.. I so loved it ️

Our group really enjoyed this trip in past times in Fresno...have driven by without stopping for years but out - of-town visitors induced a Holiday visit & glad we did. Docent was very knowledgeable & personable, a retired teacher.. Ill remember Doc Meux & his family a long time...A delightful visit!

We had a lovely hostess for our tour guide. She was very nice and informative. She also was very patient in answering all the kids questions. Would definitely do this tour again.

Great place for events!

Went to a Candlelight Mourning Tour tonight and, as usual, it was wonderful. Day or night, the tours are something every Fresnan should experience.

House and furnishings were fantastic. Nice tour guide and tour.

A very well preserved historic Fresno home turned museum. The docent knew more than just the scripted tour, and was very keen to answer questions about anything!

I love touring this historical home of Fresno. The downstairs tour guide was okay but talked way too much, the upstairs tour guide was extremely rude, and insulted my 33 year old daughter in front of everyone for a reason that was unsubstantiated, and just for that, I dont think well be going back anytime soon. Not worth the $10.00 fee.

It was interesting but was bummed could not take pictures inside..seeing stuff from the victorian era was cool. Plus i love old houses with stories behind them.

AMAZING preservation of Victorian history. They have original carpeting, most original furniture, and other cool things that these people used in their time.

They host many fun events here. Weve been to the mothers day tea and the trick or treating thing and both are very fun!

Gorgeous place, the staff there are a little rude with children so probably not the place for kids since they like to touch things and they’re VERY strict with that.
