Our service was fabulous!! Minus a star because the prices dont reflect the food. Our food was delicious but too pricey, for what we had. Im so glad to see that they are able to make their business work, during the current issues. Social distancing was perfectly in place!!

Love that they have delivery! I ordered today & everything was so good! Pretzel bites & builder bob sandwich. Also, very reasonably priced!

My fiance and I had never had the food until tonight. Let me just say, DELICIOUS! He ordered the Pubster and I got the Builder Bob. Both were amazing, especially the buttery Texas toast. I now know why the burgers have such great reviews. The best part? The delivery was fast, and their employee John called to tell me that he had dropped off my food just how I had asked. We will definitely be ordering again.

I love everything about this wonderful pub. The food is a delight. Customer service is excellent, in Freeport IL, its not a whole lot of restaurants to pick from. However, Royal Pub is my favorite. The prices are just right and the food is tasty and you get your money worth. No need to travel all the way to Rockford. Just go to Royal Pub.

This may be a weird review because I have not actually eaten here.tl:dr an honest mistake was made; owner and employees owned itlong story:I intended to get take out about 9 months ago and it did not go well. A mistake was made with the ordering, basically I placed the order with a third party at about 3pm saying I would pick it up at 6pm (not exact times, like I can remember...). Said third party did not do a good job and placed the order at 6pm instead of saying it is to be ready at 6. So when I went to pick it up, they had just gotten the order. When we compared my receipt with the times on the order that they actually got, the staff felt horrible. Three different people talked to me about it and all honestly felt bad. It actually got to the point where I had to say dont worry about it because I was concerned that other customers would get delayed because so much attention was given to me (I think that one of the people involved was the actual cook! - it was Valentines day, a horrible day for the cook to be distracted by something). I was impressed. From my experience, employees do not usually care this much unless they are treated well.Anyways, my name isnt Karen so I wasnt upset about it. I just let it slide, but on my way home I got a call from (whom I think is) the owner and he apologized (even though it was not their fault) and took responsibility and offered me a more than reasonable offer for the situation. Sadly I have not been able to take advantage of his offer since it is a bit of a drive for me and my life is chaos (and too much time as passed now), however if I ever am in the area I do intend to give them my business. In all my life there have been only a few businesses that I feel actually gave a damn about me. This is one of them.

Good food, good drinks, good people.

Great specials!

Great service great food great people

Great food and staff. Ill be back next year. Thank you!!

The burgers are excellent, the bartenders are wise and friendly. Usually pretty quiet and calm atmosphere unless there is a sports game on. Being attached to a liquor store is a bit of a drag.

Great Pub fare. Good spot to catch the game and have a burger...

Nice quiet place to have a drink and food although I havent tried any food it looks great!!!!

Food is excellent, Josie (waitress) was very sweet, polite, and helpful.

They deliver upon request,

Ordered using the online delivery option and it was awesome. Affordable, on time, delicious and the beer was cold!!!

Good food could use more help, slow service

Had lunch delivered and it was great! Delivery was fast, food was hot, what else could you ask for? A+

Great service and friendly people.

Been here a few times and the service has been very good and the drink selections are normal for a bar. Ive only had a cheeseburger here, but it was pretty good. What I REALLY like about the pub, is the Kentucky Derby party theyve had the last couple years...good times

A Great selection of Top shelf liquors! And a great owner who knows how to help his customers choose...
