We stayed here with another couple for our first visit to Fredericksburg. Beautiful scenery and close enough so you can be to town within a few minutes. Our rooms were very clean and we had an awesome weekend get away.

This is a great place if youre looking to get away from it all. The log cabin we stayed in was cozy and right by the creek. Each morning and evening wed get visited by the ducks and two cats. We loved celebrating our 29th anniversary there.

The Mesquite Farmhouse at Barons Creek was a fabulous find for us. The cottage itself is really quaint and hyper clean and has all the facilities & more you need to be self sufficient. We loved and made use of the outdoor jacuzzi and the view out from the porch was serene, especially the grazing deer in the morning. The whole complex is nicely spaced out so you really get a strong privacy feeling. It was also great having a Club onsite and we were pleasantly surprised to check it out on the Friday night and find a good ol rollicking blues concert going on. It was great to have fun and a few adult beverages and then not to have to drive home. Any interactions we had with the onsite staff and management were also fantastic. This is definitely a place we will be returning to.

Very charming properties ready to help take you away from the fast pace of the world most of us live in now. The landscape is wonderful with a water display, running stream, Vinyard and ducks with plenty of places to sit. Youll want to slow down and enjoy the experience. A live music venue on the property Thu thru Sat is a wonderful treat. Just a few minutes from the downtown area. Daniel and Simon and all the staff are ready to help you with your stay. Loved the experience and will definitely be back!

Our stay at Barons CreekSide in the Sunset Hilltop house was awesome! Very comfortable, with everything we needed. I normally cant sleep in hotel beds, but the beds in this house were great! We also were greeted throughout the day by one of the cats who lives on the property and he literally made our stay 10X better :-D I highly recommend staying at Barons CreekSide!

Please do not confuse this with Barons Creek Vineyards! I can’t imagine a better place to get away in the current climate. The stay is relaxing and the attention to detail taken to keep guests safe is breathtaking. Caution has no side of the aisle, and they do not play politics. The wine selection and food is amazing. This is a romantic getaway with idealistic Swiss cabins, and is a delightful work oasis with fine wines and food at the Club on Thursday - Saturday. Don’t miss a chance to watch the sunset from the water tower... or better yet from the porch of your own cabin!

We just arrived today. What a great place. We are in one of the Swiss cabins, so quaint and comfortable. We are here for 3 nights for my birthday on Wednesday. So glad not to be in a hotel. Wow, what a find. Coming back real soon.

Barons CreekSide never disappoints. My wife and I were lucky enough to grab Zug this past week, wow what a cabin. Daniel and Deborah have built this into a really nice place that my wife and I really enjoy visiting. Thanks Team Barons CreekSide!!!

Unique history. Secluded and exclusive yet not. Owners are hands on, friendly and entertaining. Attentive staff. Excellent live music. Enjoyed their wine. Thank you. We stayed at the Hilltop Chalet. We felt romantic despite presence of our 2 teenage kids. A deer was looking at us from the woods while we were in the hot tub at midnight. Perfect ambiance.

Wonderful place to enjoy live music on an outside patio on a vineyard (weekends only). I enjoyed the cheese plate (I skipped the cheese but they had an assortment of meats and gluten free crackers), a glass of wine, and some shrimp tacos.They have an accommodating items for a gluten free and dairy free diet.

Amazing spot! Wonderful family getaway to be in nature, grill out and enjoy some open space. The cabins are cozy, warm and very inviting.

Had an amazing weekend here for my wife’s 25th birthday, very romantic stand alone log cabins overlooking a running water creek, jacuzzi hot tub in the bedroom and fire place in the living room, lots of privacy from the staff and other guests, lots of hiking trails and creeks and wild life, our host Simon was great!

We went here for my 8 year anniversary. It was like a mini Switzerland. Incredibly kind hearted owners that helped me with all my accommodations. Beautiful scenery, good fishing, privacy, The Club access. It was such a great vacation spot. I would highly recommend to anyone!

We loved this place, nice and quiet and right in Fredericksburg. Proprietor was great and the ducks were a lot of fun too. Interesting theme also. The cabins are partly built from old wooden houses brought in from Switzerland.

Yes absolutely excellent! We stayed two days here for my birthday last year we absolutely loved it! the owners live on the property which helps add to the safety factor feeling to the property. They have their own private bistro and bar which we ended up buying a bottle of wine by the fire-pit Outside. There are many cabins sprawled out with ducks and a cute creek they the middle. Very close to town but feels out in the country. Will definitely stay again.

We loved this little hideaway and our cabin was safe, clean, and perfect for a change in scenery during COVID. I recommend to anyone looking for a nice getaway.

Absolutely, one of the coolest places I’ve ever visited! Daniel, the owner and his wife were incredibly welcoming. We have 4 kids (all boys) and they really enjoyed exploring the property and feeding the ducks. The “Club” is the their private restaurant/bar and oh man, it’s super relaxing, food is excellent and it’s just a great place to relax.I highly recommend this hidden gem!

Most coziest and comforting cabin I’ve ever stayed in! The theme was true all around, especially inside. We had everything we needed and could possibly want. We felt safe, secure, and enjoyed downtown and the cabin itself. We didn’t want to leave! Plus, The Club was a pretty good place to be, too. Live music and some wine outside was perfect. We will definitely be staying here again soon!

The Barons Creekside is a great resort place tucked not far from downtown Fredericksburg, TX. The location is perfect since it is close to stores and restaurants but still out of the hustle and bustle of downtown. We stayed in the Swiss log cabins (Zermatt) and it was a rustic cabin however it was beautiful inside with a nice king size bed, stone fireplace and jacuzzi tub, we especially loved the porch and rocking chairs just watching the wild life, the local ducks were our morning visitors along with seeing deer and a giant blue heron.The owners Daniel and Deborah were great and they made you feel welcome. The staff was really nice and helpful throughout our stay. The onsite club house entertainment was great, the wait staff was awesome and they all followed CDC protocols. Their house wine was very good and we ended up bringing home a bottle to remember our trip. We would highly recommend this great little getaway. This place is a wonderful oasis and a great place to stay and relax for a long weekend. We went over the July 4th weekend during Covid- wanting a socially distant holiday escape and it was more than we could imagine. The cabins are so thought out and cozy, and the grounds are great to just wonder around. The afternoon we arrived there were Ducks and a doe at the creek among the other visitors. The club was amazing and we ended up spending two of our evenings there with the live music and wine. The owners were very nice and welcoming and we cannot wait to come back.

Rustic elegance. The grounds were beautiful. Obviously a lot of thought and effort went into everything on this property. The owners were outgoing and anxious to please. We spent two out of three evenings listening to good music at the bistro. It was a great place and a fun time.

My husband and I spent 3 nights at this charming, romantic getaway. I felt like I was tucked away in a Swiss village! Adorable details in every nook and cranny of these rustic cabins. These cabins are uber clean, and the hosts are welcoming and helpful if needed. Each one offers a unique experience with an outdoor space, and lovely view. We stayed in the Zug cabin 2 nights and different cabin for a 3rd night. The feather bed at the Zug cabin was like heaven! It was the most relaxed Id been in years.The restaurant has excellent food, live music, and of course, a fantastic selection of wines. Hope we can get back soon.

We stayed here over Valentines day and absolutely LOVED it. The grounds were well kept and the cottages were PERFECT! If you are looking for a getaway in Fredericksburg this is the place to stay!

Amazing place. It is a little pricy, but it was a great experience and well worth the price. The Swiss cabins are very cozy and the man-made creek is quite nice. The clubhouse has a decent wine and beer selection and very friendly bartenders. I wish that I had stayed for the whole weekend instead of only Friday and Saturday. I look forward to going back and trying the other Swiss cabins.

We had the most amazing visit to Barons CreekSide! Their extremely personalized service is unmatched with attention to every detail to make your visit so enjoyable and comfortable! The cabins are very clean, comfortable, well appointed and unique. Fishing and a vineyard onsite, precious and friendly ducks and cats, and deer! A duck even layed eggs right outside our cabin. This is more than an overnight stay— it’s a memorable occasion!! We got the last cabin available— they are very busy despite Covid-19 and are taking every precaution to keep you safe- contactless check in and check out, disinfectants in the cabin and social distancing at the gathering for live music, food and beverages.

Guys, if you are looking to surprise the wife or special lady for a romantic evening this is the place. The Wasserfall cabin is perfect equipped with a fireplace and jacuzzi tub. The Club also has live music, a fantastic selection of drinks, and a dank BLT panini.The staff is excellent. Upon arrival property manager Megan was waiting to greet me and knew who I was. The owner Daniel introduced himself to us as well.I will definitely be back.

Great little rustic get away w modern amenities. When in town be sure to try the schnitzel at Der Lindenbaum.

Nice, super clean and quiet. Parking was almost none and the little streets are so tiny it feels very cramped and a little dangerous if anyone else is coming or going when you are. Its pretty but little privacy and a bit cramped for the high price. Otherwise looks pretty

We love coming to Barons Creekside. The Club is also a very special place to enjoy great music. The attention to detail in all cabins and houses is superb. Daniel has cut out a piece of heaven in Fredericksburg.

Each cabin is unique and has everything you need. The property is quiet and secluded even though its only 3 blocks away from Main St, making it easy to go out on Main St or staying in and enjoy the on-site entertainment at The Club. The owner Daniel is friendly and attentive, personally welcoming everyone walking around the grounds or at The Club in the evenings.

Accidental vaca when other plans were cancelled. Daniel and staff could not have been more welcoming. The kittens provided extra calm in a rough time.

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary. We had an amazing time! Everything was perfect, the property was beautiful and our cabin was very comfortable. We stayed in one of the dog friendly cabins so we could bring our little girl with us. We enjoyed walking around the property, and our favorite part was enjoying dinner and live music at the onsite venue. We would definitely stay at Barons Creekside again!

Such a wonderful place to stay! We stayed in the Victorian, it was decorated so cute and the beds provided a very comfortable nights sleep. The grounds are beautiful! The food and wine at the Club are fabulous! We enjoyed the live music at The Club both nights we were there and the staff was very attentive and friendly. We can t wait to go back in the fall!

Weekend-ish getaway for Valentines Day. Perfect setting to relax, get away from life for a bit and reconnect. The place feels like the middle of nowhere but is a quick drive to main street Fredricksburg which is a cute place to do some shopping or eating. We still spent most of our time on the property relaxing and wandering around. Even made a couple little cat friends.

The log cabins are the best in Fredericksburg no doubt whoever built them was amazing

This place is a hidden gem within walking distance of downtown Fredericksburg yet secluded enough to make it feel as if you are way out in the country.We stay in the ZUG cabin, their newest and so well appointed down to the smallest detail.Fredericksburg is loads of fun but coming back to this cute little cabin and resort was always the highlight of our day.Highly recommend!

Absolutely lovely cottages! I am pleased with every detail that the staff put into our stay. Even the toilet paper is decent. There are so many historical and interesting decorative items on my cabin that I spent a goodly amount of time just going through and looking at each of them. The cabins are spaced out just enough to feel secluded. Also, there is a troop of charming ducks that keeps visiting us.

First class operation! Run like a 4 star resort. Even a concert calendar was provided! Had everything we could want or need so it was perfect when travelling on motorcycles

My wife, kids and I rented the big lodge for one night in June and will definitely be going back once it gets cooler. This place is like nowhere Ive been before. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. The mattress in the master bedroom needs to be replaced, but everything else more than made up for that. I highly recommend.

Loved the location, woods, and creek on property, a small lighthouse, and the club with live music are all a charming countryside experience. The swiss heritage of this ranch is quite reflective in its decor and landscape.We stayed in a 2 bedroom Victorian cottage and were pleased with the space!

Georgeous hide out . You really feel like you are in the woods. The cabins are awesome. Every detail on the decor down to the towels and sheets were taken care of. And to top it off the service and attention directly from the owners. That doesnt get beat easily.Thank you Deborah and Daniel !

Beautiful grounds with cute lodges. Mesquite is pet friendly. Love the deck with the views, hot tub, fire pit and grill. You can walk down to ‘The Fishing Hole’ in the creek, which is fun for the kids!

It was an awesome stay here! Wasnt sure what to expect, and then found out it was a really cool place. I would definitely come back for another stay. Maybe try one of the other cabins.

Very nice getaway close to everything in Fredericksburg. We rented the hilltop chalet. Its located at the end of the property in a quiet and very wooded section. Its close to onsite relaxation sites near a man-made stream and pond. It is a short walk to a slow moving creek. The house comes well equipped. We didnt have to bring or buy any additional cooking supplies. It could use a little spot cleaning in some places. The furniture was very comfortable. The support braces on the dining chairs were popping out. So be careful sitting down. We really enjoyed our time here and would come back. Its a very peaceful place and the owners are nice.

This place is amazing. We stayed in the Geneva Swiss Cabin and it was so cozy and so intimate and romantic. Such beautiful scenery and amazing helpful staff. We also ate dinner and did a wine tasting at The Club and it was fantastic. Will definitely be back next year and would highly recommend.

Late July 2018 weekend stay: We loved the cabin. Everything was nice and comfortable. One of the cats on property was hilarious (we own a cat at home) - in the evening of our first night it wandered into the cabin as if it owned the place and we were its owners. It curled up and took a nap. When we went to bed it jumped up on a corner of the bed, began purring, and slept the night with us! The cabin was clean and had a small mini fridge. The morning and afternoon were really nice with ducks outside enjoying the small man made ponds. The stream gurgled nicely. The only negative thing about the stay - Fri and Sat night there is live music at the on property bar and if you expect to sit outside your cabin and enjoy the quiet sounds of nature - you wont. Not unless, the sounds of nature include a band in the background.

Barons Creekside is an outstanding place to go to get away...

We stayed at these cabins one Valentines Day and were a little skeptical to spend so much, but it ended up being well worth it! The grounds are very beautiful and secluded from civilization, yet it is close enough to the main street to get any necessities that you may have forgotten. When we woke up in the morning, we were greeted by all of the ducks they had on the property which made us super happy! The cabins themselves are very unique and have a strong, woodsy odor to them. One thing that was cool was we had a jetted bathtub in our cabin! The only downside was we didnt have an actual stove which we were expecting due to the description online. But that didnt slow us down from having fun. The owners are very nice and seemed to care about our stay. We will definitely try to come back some time soon!

The amount of detail and attention that was given in creating this place is just amazing. I was overwhelmed with how picturesque everything was. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I will be coming back soon!! I 100% recommend if wanting a romantic getaway. Food and drinks are also outstanding at The Club.

The facility allows a moment of serenity in an otherwise fast paced life. We loved the laid back atmosphere of the cabins complete with resident ducks to welcome us. The Club had fantastic food and great entertainment while we were there. We will stay again as soon as we can.

Great setting, like Switzerland in constant summer

My wife and I found Barons a few days before we decided to make a trip to Fredericksburg. Luckily they had an opening and we decided to book. We stayed in the Sunrise Hilltop Chalet and it was awesome. It was clean, decorated tastefully, and had everything we needed to cook breakfast to dinner. We enjoyed exploring the beautiful property and my wife especially loved drinking wine under the big oak tree and the friendly ducks/cats that would stop by. Perfect distance from downtown, all wineries (our tour picked us up right at our cabin), and any grocery store. They even have a great little club on the property. Weve told our friends about Barons and will be back! Thanks again!

Barons CreekSide was a much-needed getaway. We stayed in one of the Swiss cabins. The kitchenette was a little small, but the bed was amazing and so was the jacuzzi tub. The view outside was beautiful, and we were within a mile of Main Street Fredericksburg but couldnt hear any of the hustle and bustle. I highly recommend this place. It was affordable, lovely, and quiet. The couples massage we had in our room was also amazing. Karolyn and the other masseuse were very good.

Very clean and unique cabins. We stayed just one night, but would love to come back and enjoy the scenic property.
