This past Saturday I did the escape room titled The Witching Hour with a party of 3. To my surprise this was their escape room that they gave the highest difficulty level; after we had finished our hour in the escape room we were told that only about 4% actually succeed at solving all the puzzles this room had. Our group was not one of the lucky 4%. If you like a challenge I would highly recommend The Witching Hour. One thing that I believe made it a challenge is that this escape room is completely in the dark with the exception of the wax pillar LED candles you are given. Our game guide was a lot of fun, knowledgeable, and she even got into character for our scene dressing up in costume. Despite the fact that we did not succeed at solving all the puzzles and escaping our room everyone had a lot of fun and we would definitely recommend this place. We’ve done escape rooms before and this place is at the top of our list for being an enjoyable experience.

My wife and I love Escape Rooms. Weve been doing them digitally since the well...Everything...We had an amazing time at SureLocked In for in person return.This was our second time at SureLocked. The first was with a group of six and played their pirate themed room that is currently being rebuilt, and won! This time we enjoyed our time in the Wild West, even if we did get hung up on the last clue, and lost, we still had really fun time.While there is some clues that locks that if youve played an escape room or two you know to look for, there were also some really unique puzzles that we came up against and the entire experience felt earned.In the reality we live in, there were more rules to follow than usual...Protocols for both staff and player safety were comfortable and private games allowed for extra comfort. There are no player minimums so you can play with 2 players. You are required to be masked for your entire time in the game and waiting areas, so wear something comfortable, or theme related to really punch up your experience.

My family and I had such a great time here! Our guide there, Rachel, explained all instructions and rules very clearly and made the experience very fun and had us laughing throughout the whole time. Although the escape room was difficult we had so much fun and the witching room gave us spooky vibes just a week after halloween. I loved it and so did all my family, thank you Rachel and Surelocked!

My group had a wonderful time this weekend playing Wild Wild Quest. The room was well done and the difficulty was just right. Steve is an awesome Game Master and played a great character. Well definitely be back again soon to try another room!

We had a ton of fun, even though we didnt escape. There were a lot of different types of challenges and kept us on our toes. Our gamemaster Jake was fabulous (and gave helpful clues when we were completely lost)!

My brothers and I solved well wild quest together, it was great! We havent worked together so well since we blamed the dog for destroying moms couch. We kept our masks on and it was just us in the room, then staff did a full cleanup after we left. I really loved the variety of puzzle types that we had to solve in order to escape the room. Very creative, I cant wait to try the next room.

Had a blast playing t-Rex room at Surelocked with my daughter and her friends!! The staff and game master were super friendly and fun. Room design was awesome. We have never been disappointed in any of the multiple rooms we’ve played there and look forward to our next adventure!

Took my Son here for his 16th birthday with his girlfriend and my daughter and we had so much fun! My face hurt from laughing so much. We did The Witching Hour room. After a lot of sitting around due to Corona it was nice to put my brain back to some sort of use again. . Clearly there are still some cobwebs because we didnt make it through but we had so much fun trying! Its a really fun challenge and we plan on going back to finish what we started. Its nice to have something spooky to do outside of October

Tristan wasted 20 minutes on the first puzzle because becky was hollering at him because his hair stunk. Julia was confused about why Becky cared about his oder today when she said he always smells like that. Room was difficult but very fun.

We had Chris as our gamemaster and he was fantastic. He stayed in character from the moment we met him until we left. There were a good variety of puzzles and many unique aspects to the room.

Weve only played their Wild Wild West room so far, but it was a lot of fun and the game master was very attentive and helpful.

Absolutely love the fun and clever clues provided. The rhyming, the locations, and the groups involved really put it all over the top!

Thought it was awesome. Even the staff couldnt get out of the elevator and had to call the fire department. Really tough.

So fun and challenging! I went with my husband and it was our first time doing an escape room. We accidentally picked a room a bit too challenging for our first time but it was so much fun and everyone made us feel very comfortable and welcome! Probably better with a group but still great for a date night!

Definitely my favorite place to go to an escape room. I have done almost every room, and theyre all designed really well. The staff are also amazing, they are always hilarious and do a great job at playing their characters. This is the best escape room in all of Frederick!

When thinking about Escape Rooms, often it’s about having fun to celebrate an occasion. Surelocked In was able to take that to an even higher level and have our experience be even more special and unique, even within a relatively tight timeframe in early May 2019. They were able to make our post-rehearsal dinner into a memorable experience that our bridal party and their dates won’t soon forget. After pitching the idea, the Keymaster sat with both us separately to talk through and formulate plans to make it unique to our group. We decided to do the head-to-head room where we could add a competitive aspect to the night. Clearly, I am not going to say much, as to not give anything away, except that even with the ladies winning the challenge, everyone had a fantastic time.The flexibility and creative nature of all the staff involved in making this event happen was crucial in helping start our important weekend of our wedding on the right note. Not only did everyone have fun, but we walked out excited about our next chance to visit the other rooms at Surelocked In. The puzzles here are challenging and not to be taken lightly, but everyone is in for a treat from the moment you walk in the door. We especially want to thank Chris for his insight and assistance amidst his tropical trip, Layla for her entertaining and wonderful conversation prior to our adventure, and both Michael and LJ for their character roles in transporting us to the pirate and medieval realms! Looking forward to being back soon.

My wife and I have been to Sherlocked In twice. Both times were great experiences. Last night with did the Wild West themed room with Chris as our guide. He was helpful while staying hilariously in character the entire time. Give this place a shot. You won’t be disappointed!

I’ve been to Surelocked In three times now and I’ve had great experiences every time. But I have to say this time was by far the best of all three experiences because of my game master Chris. Chris was by far the funniest and most engaging game master I’ve had I would totally recommend him for everyone.

This was my first one so I didnt know what to expect. I was very impressed by how our Game master never broke character. She scared me a little bit. It was fun, challenging, and I highly recommend.

My company did an escape room with Surelocked In as a team building activity and it was AWESOME. This is the perfect thing to do for a company event. We even got to split into two teams to see who could escape the quickest. Definitely recommend!

We drove all the way from the Pittsburgh area to experience the escape rooms at Surelocked In. We were NOT disappointed! Enjoyed every challenging second in the rooms we visited. Staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and instruct us on the games. 5 star business for sure!

We did a head-to-head with 13 family members. We both escaped with 30 seconds to spare...a tie game. So much fun! I highly recommend this as a family bonding experience...fabulous!

Went here today and we had a great time, we did the Tyrannosaurus Rex room it was awesome! Highly recommend trying this youll have so much fun :-)

Lots of puzzle but not immersiveWe did the pirate room as a group of 6. There were a ton of puzzles to solve so no one in our group ever felt bored or idle. We only needed one hint towards the end. The staff was helpful and cheery!The only disappointing aspect was the lack of immersion. There were props and the room was decorated, but thats about it. The room was from an older generation of puzzles (no electronics, all key combinations and lock boxes, heavy focus on written puzzles), and the GMs walked into the room to give hints. Aside from that, there wasnt an overarching story to the puzzles. This made it feel more like a collection of puzzles with a pirate theme, instead of actually being a pirate in the room.Id probably checkout other escape establishments in Fredrick on my next visit, but you wont be disappointed visiting this one if youre not picky.

Loved it! Perfect challenge. Had a 7 and 5 year old with us too and they also loved it. Something for everyone. Highly recommend. Noah was an awesome guide for the Wild, Wild Quest!

Really well done room. We did Knights Out and it was a blast! Loved the variety of puzzles, the decor, and the host. Well designed and kept us on our toes. Proud to say we escaped from such a thoughtful and challenging room!

This was an awesome escape experience! My man and I were able to escape from the pirate experience with just the two of us. It was challenging, without being frustrating at all. Definitely do-able for two experienced escapees and would also be perfect for a group.The staff were really fun to talk to. Just checking in made us feel at ease and excited. Things were explained clearly and it was a relaxed environment.To top it all off, the theming was to die for. It worked perfectly with excellent riddles and puzzles. I cant wait to go back!

We had a great time at Surelocked In! We visited in March 2017 when they were in a different building and while we also had a great time then, it seems the production value has increased tremendously. I appreciate the different themes and levels and commitment from the crew and actors. Chris was a fabulous facilitator! Highly recommend for anyone who likes puzzles.

I have been to surelocked in three times and I’ve had a great experience every time I was there but so far the best game master I’ve had was Chris he was extremely involved and made the experience better in more ways then one and I’m looking forward to the next room I do.

Great family business in a perfect location in downtown Frederick! We had fun and wish we had more time to play more rooms. I especially appreciated the unique location and handcrafted puzzles and props. We will definitely be back!

Visiting friends in town they took me here it was fun but the games were a bit basic compared to others I have done. Good place for beginners not sure id recommend for experienced players. Staff was really friendly!

Ive never felt so good about losing. My friends and I chose The Witching Hour room and were on the very last step when time ran out. If we had been a little smarter about time management we would have made it. The atmosphere, puzzles, and staff were all great. Weve already decided that well be back to try other rooms.

We booked the Knight Out escape and had a great time - it was a blast. We got off to a slow start (this was our first time in an escape room) but found it to be fun and challenging. a great way to spend some quality family time. The staff were very professional and helpful - many thanks to Queen Guinevere - sorry your husband didnt make it - maybe next time well be able to save him. Highly recommend this experience.

Super clean and has great employees. 4 of us did The Witching Hour room and although we were a little hesitant at first (since I apparently didn’t read that this one was in the dark..) it turned out that we had the best time going around with only candles. Definitely check this place out

So much fun! This was my first escape room experience so I have nothing to compare it too. It far exceeded my expectations of what it would be! We did the witch room and it was worth every minute of fun! Spooky and fun plus puzzles! Win for the staff- even though we lost the game.. definitely going to come back to try again in another room!

Our family LOVES Sure locked In!! We are true veterans and have experienced almost every single challenge. Some are harder than others, but we are always surprised and happy with the new puzzles, codes, and designs they come up with. Everyone should add this to their to-do while visiting! :)

Our family did the Naughty or Nice room - perfect way to have some family fun during the holidays. This was our first escape room, and we had lots of fun! I love that there was something for everyone to do - even our children (5 and 7 years old) were able to participate and help us make it off of the naughty list. The room was highly engagingand the staff was great. I look forward to trying other rooms now.

Had an awesome time. Tried the hardest room and almost finished it, but I heard that most people dont get as far as my group did and thats fine but be wary of whether or not you want a challenge.

I sat and watched yesterday as people were asked to not sit on their steps during the Frederick Street Festival. The reason being “it was a busy day and we need the room”. From children to senior citizens, all were asked to leave. I personally didn’t see anyone come or go for the time I was watching. The Street Festival isn’t just for fun, it’s also a PR opportunity. I’m afraid this place failed. Too bad, this all could have been prevented with a piece of chalk.

1st time to any Escape Room. We helped Rachel save the town. She was a great sheriff for the Wild Wild Quest and made the adventure fun!!!!!!!

Our family had a really great time doing the pirate themed room for Mothers Day! The puzzles were challenging and required us all to work together. We made it out with a minute and a half to spare!The staff here were really friendly and helpful. We got 3 clues in the room and a 4th for checking in on Facebook. We ended up having 1 clue left over in the end. This is a great place for your first escape room! The room was actually unlocked so you could exit to go to the bathroom, or get some air if need be. I was worried about the size of the room and feeling crammed with 8 people in it - however it was big enough for us all to move around and feel comfortable. Great experience! Would recommend to anyone visiting the area or looking for a fun experience!

Our group did all 3 rooms that were open (though new ones rotate in seasonally) and had an absolute blast. The puzzles were approachable and well-executed - we were never held back by faulty mechanics or anything beyond the control of the group. The structure of each room was fairly consistent in that there was always something for everyone to do, which is a testament to the solid design and planning of the rooms. The themeing and decor were obviously lovingly crafted, and the people running the rooms (Jake for the Wild West room, Eric for the Pirate room, and Tori for the Camelot room) brought an extra level of joy to the experience with their fantastic characters.These are truly spectacular escape rooms and are not to be missed.

We had a blast completing our escape room and will definitely be coming back. We did the Witching Hour and it was everything I’d hoped it would be and more. I was worried 6 people in the room would be a bit crowded and everyone won’t be participating but boy was I’m glad it wasn’t like that at all! Everyone was busy completing puzzles and I don’t know if we could’ve solved this room with less than 5 people because there were just SO MANY clues and locks to figure out. On top of the amazing escape adventure the staff was wonderful, super friendly and helpful, and the room very well maintained. Go here!! We love supporting small businesses in Frederick.

So much fun. My fiance and I went twice and did the hardest room The Witching Hour. Almost beat it the first time and had to challenge ourselves to do it again and won! Employees were very nice and encouraging and completely emmerse you in the experience with fun puzzles that are solvable with some thought. Definantly going back to try all of their room!

We had a very good time. Definitely a fun and entertaining activity for teams (professionals or friends). Challenging on several levels. Hard to not get infected by the escape fever...

Our group is cursed because we did not solve the Witching Hour Escape Room. While we have had several escape room successes, this room proved too much of a challenge for us. There were just too many puzzles to solve in the given hour, in the cover of darkness. The staff was wonderful and our guide was amazing, albeit a bit scary, which only added to the fun.

This was my first experience in an escape room adventure and I was not disappointed! I came for a team-building activity with my co-workers. We were challenged and learned a lot about each other’s strengths in a problem solving atmosphere. Our game master Chris was fun, helpful and valuable part of the experience. I believe that this would be a fun family experience and plan to come back with my gang!

First time doing an escape room for most of our party, and we had a fabulous time - convenient location, attentive game-master, reasonable yet challenging difficulty curve. Our group fell quickly into a good puzzle-solving groove, had fun figuring out how best to communicate information, and finished with a few minutes to spare. Great way to spend some time with a group of friends!

Too much fun! Took our workforce of 7 people for an amazing night of team building. Our handler LJ did a great job; the hints were only as helpful as they needed to be ~ were all looking forward to going back soon!

Really wonderful escape room! My group did the pirate themed room, and the puzzles were wonderfully challenging but also very satisfying to solve. The staff were very fun and friendly as well. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and wish I had more time in the area to go back and do their Holy Grail themed room!

Our group of 5 did the Wild Wild Quest and had a fun time. LJ was our game overlord and she was great; very funny! I especially like that it is a family owned business.

Chris and Co. are fantastic and were super flexible when I asked if I could plan a proposal with them. They made everything work perfectly and were great about the the whole process. And the room isleit was super fun! I cant recommended this place enough!

Our whole family had a great time with our first escape room experience. Friendly and helpful staff. The Ship Outta Luck scenario was challenging and got the best of us. Just before bed our 9 year old said, “daddy that was really fun, this was a great day”. We will definitely be back.

This was so much fun!!! It was my first time trying an escape room and I’m pretty sure Sherlocked was the BEST one we could have picked to sign up for. Our room was hard, but we had a blast working with our teammates to try to crack all the codes and riddles. I really enjoyed the extra effort that was put into the “theatrical” part of the program. The role playing all the staff members participated in (from being to end), really made it more special. I’ll definitely be back to try another room!

Awesome experience. Will definitely do this again. Chris is an excellent game master. He certainly made the experience enjoyable.

Took my son and 5 of his friends here for his 15th birthday. They had a blast. Awesome experience.

My friends and went and did Wild Wild Quest, Sip Outta Luck, and Knight Out, and these were some of my favorite escape rooms. They have a nice flow to them that avoids bottlenecks where some of the group feels like theres too many people crowding a puzzle, meaning the whole group can be involved through the whole room.Im looking forward to the upcoming rooms, and will definitely give them a shot.

As always we had a great experience! My group has been here three times and we always have a blast. The staff is always so nice, friendly and funny. We keep coming back because we have such a great time. The rooms really get your mind racing. I was very hesistant at first to do an escape room, but now it’s like a monthly get together. Can’t wait for them to open up some new rooms. I know my group will definitely be back for round four!

Knight Out was a super clever escape room with lots of mechanics I hadnt experienced before in other rooms! The staff are also among the nicest Ive encountered in escape rooms, including in-character guides!

Extremely enjoyable 1st outing! Didnt escape... but came close. Going back with friends to attempt a slightly easier room :). Highly recommended.

It was a fun experience with friends and worth the price. My only complaint is that that room we tried doesnt actually seen solvable in an hour. My friends are a smart bunch, and even after being shown how to compete it, we all agreed that even with more time we would not have made the leap in logic required to solve the puzzle. That was the Knight Out room. Others may be more at my level. But, Im willing to try again sometime.

Was a birthday gift to me. (And no, we didnt make it out.) We did have a ton of fun, met some new people, and worked as a team. (If we had 62 minutes we would have made it! We were that close.) But, next time, WE WILL CONQUER! (Lol)... Just completed an escape room elsewhere. Am even more impressed with how this facility and operation was done. We will be coming back here from now on.

This was so much fun!!! Our whole family was visiting Frederick and our son-in-law suggested we do this. He was the only one who had ever done one before. We had such a great time. It was definitely a highlight of our visit.

This place intrigued my wife and family, we decided to try it out. We took an 8 person crew to the Escape Groom feature. Wow, this experience far surpassed my expectations as well as friends and families. I cant remember the last time I had this much fun. I would rate more stars if I could.. We beat the room with 4 seconds left on the clock, exhilarating.

Our family of four had an excellent time in the T-Rex room. Eric was an awesome guide!!! Hoping to return again soon!
