Just saw WICKED last Sunday...what a beautiful rendition...Ive seen WICKED on Broadway and know that some of the performers were part of the original tour....incredibly talented performers...cant wait to go back for more performaces. Oh! my son took jazz lessons a few years back with some great instructors and performers. The series of lessons ended with a live performance and was fantastic.

It was my first time there. They had an outdoor concert in their parking lot. Great job and fun night!! I will be returning.

The big band was good but we were told it would be good for kids and that they would charge $20 even for toddlers. Well we paid that and regrettably, they decided that even in the small venue they needed very large speakers. It was far too loud for children and the event was a resounding failure for us. They should not advertise this event as acceptable for children. Nor should they charge for such young kids. Also if you go, don’t pay $25 for the “brunch.” It’s just finger foods and coffee isn’t even included!

This is a theater devoted to the performing arts. This event was a joint venture featuring the 2 jazz bands from Franklin HS and the Kenny Hadley jazz band out of Boston. An awesome evening for jazz enthusiasts. The Black Box features a wide variety of musical entertainment in a cozy intimate setting.

It really depends on the event and what sound system is in use, but it is a good place for a cafe tabled, alcohol available night out for music or theater.

Great small venue in good location

Small, intimate venue. We saw Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamboat. The cast was truly amazing. Such great local talent. Tickets are not cheap, but are much less than going into Boston for a show.

This venue is an asset to Franklin. The Blackbox has music and theatrical performances, as well as hosting fundraisers and other events. We really enjoyed the intimacy of the space. Cant wait to go back again and again. Location is great, plenty of parking. Several options for dinner before or after a show nearby. Walking distance to train.

So we went to see a band here and the band was fantastic. But the venue was kind of odd big stage and a big empty room that they feel with movable tables and folding chairs. So what you get is kind of a high school concert feel. There were enough tables and chairs for the people that came to see the band so we had to share a 4-person table with another couple we didnt know some people may think this is fine it was kind of odd and uncomfortable since each of us were just a loan on a date and not really expecting to be socializing with strangers. There is a bar but there is very limited options there overall kind of odd venue for seeing a band the band was very good. I think that this location is actually a school for Performing Arts for students or other things so in general its probably good for what it does but as a venue to go see a band not really the best.

Awsome place to get live shows with up and coming talent in voice, acting and dance. Live music, and sound system. Great for all ages.
