Was there yesterday and my wife and I booked a training session with Zach. I havent shot a gun in 30+ years and my wife has essentially NEVER shot. Zach spent 2 hours with us, starting some some very serious gun safety training and then moving to the range. Working on fundamentals of loading the gun, proper grip, site targeting, aiming and firing, our instructor instilled confidence and increased skill for both of us. The price of the instruction as well as the price of the range bullets was super fair. By the way, my wife is a WAY better shot than me. Well be back next week. Super Clean facility, btw.
Shooting ranges have a tendency to make people feel inferior, but Franklin Range was the exact opposite. The staff was super friendly and willing to answer any questions I had. The digital target setter was very cool, and the dampening pads in the range made the gunshots from me and other shooters easy to handle and not so surprising. I would definitely recommend this range to anyone visiting the Nashville/Franklin area.
The range is nice and the staff is helpful as well and I have been here a few times to where I have spent a good amount of money here.Unfortunately one of the staff members told me today the owners do not support veterans. This is not a place I can support any longer given that I am a veteran.
Franklin Range is a much cleaner facility than many others I’ve visited. The team here is much more professional than some of the competition in the area...personable, friendly, knowledgeable, and treating a customer like a priority instead of a bother. In particular, Jeff provided an outstanding experience today and demonstrated excellence in taking care of a customer who (unbeknownst to Jeff) had just had a very marginal experience with a prospective competitor. Really appreciate this place, this team, and their integrity!
Friendly staff, reasonable fees for the range. Buy a membership and shoot daily if you want.
Called to ask a simple question and got hung up on by a rude joke of a human. What a piece of trash. Wont be doing any business AT ALL at this place.
Visited Franklin Range recently to look for a firearm for my wife. Have visited this facility several times to browse and utilize their range. Visiting a gun store can be intimidating, especially for a first timer that may not have knowledge of lingo, models, manufacturers etc. Each time I have visited has been a pleasant experience and this visit was no different. My wife and I were treated professionally and they took the time to educate us on available models and styles. They also gave my wife the opportunity to try out a few of the models on the range. We ultimately purchased a firearm and will definitely be back again. Reading reviews from other stores it’s obvious Franklin Range is doing something different. Keep up the great work. Thank you.
Im giving it 3 stars because prior to this new reservation system Ive had a good experience at both ranges. I called the Franklin location to make sure that CV19 hadnt changed their times or availability. I was told they were booked until 3pm. So I ask, Can you put me down for next available.. The person on the phone said, You have to use our reservation site and it has a 4 hour delay. So the only thing you can book is 5pm.. So there is a 2 hour window I cant get into because their system wont allow it and the range employees are powerless to book a reservation. So I go on the site and sure enough the next available is 5pm. Then I notice a $20 non-refundable reservation fee, that according to the site doesnt even begin to cover the lane cost. So even if I had a gift card I cant set foot in a lane without paying $20? I understand keeping the money for no shows but to not apply that money to range time? I asked if I could walk in between 3 and 5. I was basically pointed back to the reservation site but then they made an offhand remark about trying to keep lanes open for walk ins... really pushing that $20 reservation fee.Update: I drove up there around 3:40pm and the place was empty. There was only 1 lane being used. I got in right away. If I had paid $20 for the honor of reserving a lane and walked into an empty building...
The guys are very knowledgeable and helpful. This was my first time at this range and I was impressed with the level of customer service they offered.
Took my 10yr old here today. Cannot say enough good things about this facility. While the entire staff was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable; ZACH took time to make my son feel comfortable and at ease. Zach has made my family customers for life. Thanks Zach....
I can’t brag enough about the staff!!! They are always helpful and knowledgeable. They go above and beyond any other gun shop that I’ve ever been to. I couldn’t find a certain size hex tool for my build. They let me borrow one of theirs and bring it back. Great selection of guns to purchase or shoot at the range. If they don’t have something in stock they will help you get it from their online store. Extremely easy FFL transfers. Very quick to communicate back when the paperwork is complete. Thanks guys for all of the great experiences!!!!
These guys are not gun snobs like you find at most of the ranges. I have been in numerous times to shoot, browse and ask questions. They have always been professional and friendly. That is why I purchased my Ruger PC Carbine & red-dot from them. I really hope they get their retail website back on line soon. Im in the market for an AR15.
Very polite staff. Took my girlfriend there and had an excellent time at the range. The instructor was very helpful to her as she was left handed and I was right handed, so at times it became hard for me to explain what might be comfortable. Purchased my first handgun and was very pleased with the service, the knowledge, and the price. Overall great experience!
It was my first time there and the guys were really cool. They showed us how to load the guns and use them. Great environment and very safe as well. Definitely will be coming back. I highly recommend this place.
I have purchased two firearms from Franklin Armory along with other related items. Have also shot their range on a couple occasions. Courteous, friendly and very knowledgeable staff. Great people to do business with. Highly recommended....
My wife and I have gone to this range about three times and each time the personnel were friendly and helpful. The range is first class in regard to the shooting lanes and very user friendly. We would recommend Franklin Range to anyone.
Great Range, Helpful friendly staff. Have been here twice now and will definitely use the range again. Very clean and professional
Very clean and well maintained multi lane gun range. You can shoot, purchase guns, ammo and gear as well as take firearm permit classes, gun safety classes and have your guns fixed. All of the employees are friendly and professional. The shooting range is modern and inexpensive to use. I highly recommend the Franklin gun range. They are affiliated with the Nashville gun range, but Franklin is located to accommodate people who live in and around Franklin and the surrounding cities.
The thing I liked is that the staff recognized that I was familiar with guns, no one crowded in on us they just watched. There seemed to be like a general level of respect which I like.
Great staff very clean and SAFE!! This is a great place to shoot and also try guns out. Highly recommend.
I walked into Franklin Range really uncomfortable, never having been to a Gun Store before. Me and my wife ended up speaking to Nolan for close to an hour. He immediately made us feel comfortable with our Environment. He explained all the important things and even the small nuisances to having a gun and being a first time owner. We felt so good about our experience we came back the next day and and wanted to just Shoot. Again, we were greeted by Nolan and extremely friendly and open staff. We were shooting this time, so we had a whole new set of nerves. Nolan gave us an extensive overview before we went in and made sure we had a great selection of guns to enjoy our shooting experience. Once we were in the range holding the loaded gun for the first time, we got nervous again. But, Franklin Range has a gun guru for first time Shooters. I believe his name was Matthew, could be wrong( He goes to Belmont). Man, he showed me and sister-in-law how to manipulate the gun, reload, pull the trigger, everything. Without him, the experience would have been completely different actually shooting the gun. He reassured us we were safe and that he was there to help us with anything. Really cant say how much this affected our experience. He was just an awesome guy who is a marksman guru!TLDR- The facility is amazing. Clean and modern. The staff goes way above and beyond to help you. They are extremely knowledgeable in a non intimidating way. Awesome experience all around. I will buy my first Firearm from them for sure! Thank you guys!
I took a friend to the range yesterday it was ok but after getting ther targets the guy in the range was a complete condescending jerk. I wont be back i recommend the nashville location.
Did an FFL transfer here last week and was very impressed. They called me about 10 minutes after I got an email from UPS saying the gun was delivered to the Armory. The guys processing the paperwork were very friendly and helpful. Everything in this place was very clean and well organized. Decent selection of handguns for a small place. Will definitely be going back to use the range.
Took our son here to sight in his rifle last week. Trey and Zach were awesome! They were very professional and extremely helpful. Zach took some extra time to give our son some pointers. Excellent facility, Great service, Safe range. Looking forward to coming back for some target practice as well.
Great Range! Great people! Great Selection of weapons! Hard pressed to find a better one!
The guys here at Franklin Armory went above and beyond to help me. I had a online order of a H&K Vpsk with a gift card and payed the rest in cash. The firearm got there in less than a week. The process was smooth as can be. Realy cool down to earth guys. Will definitely be back to purchase and shoot at the range.
Spent a day with Scott getting a carry permit, excellent teacher, very comfortable day of learning. Scott had my wife and I well prepared at the end of the class. Both passed with outstanding scores and a good knowledge of the law and gun safety. Highly recommend Scott at Franklin NA.
Great range, very clean and well maintained. Staff was extremely helpful to a new shooter. Good selection of guns to rent and for purchase.
First Timer--Excellent Experience! Staff is informative, helpful, knowledgeable, kind. Place is organized, clean, inviting. I can not wait to go back!
Ive shot here during the prior ownership. As soon as I spent time on the range, I decided to become a member. Terrific upgrades under the Nashville Armory banner. Interesting collection of pistols for rent, looking forward to coming back.
These guys are great...i had trouble with a sight one of the range masters helped me.i wound up buying new sights and installing them there and sighting my rifle in,i couldnt ask for nicer people i will be back!!!
Very expensive, $20 for the range plus taxes which brought my balances to $25. So, not worth it. Park on chick filas parking and if you want to get robbed do park at the back of their building, where no one can see you.
Not the biggest selection. The prices were through the roof especially their ARs. They dont finance either
Great new facility been here a few times. Travis and Nolan are great to deal with come in a ask for them I bought a new pistol here and got some sights they installed for me in no time. Come by for great prices and great customer service I will definitely be back!!
Great, clean range. Knowledgeable staff who treat you well and are all courteous. This is my favourite place to practice at. I highly recommend this range and store to everyone.
At first glance, it’s very expensive. $20/hr is a lot. But this place is nice. Feels very upscale and the staff is professional and kind and they have a full time rm keeping an eye on everyone, not just some cameras and speakers that talk when something happens. The lanes are fully automatic as well.
Eh, besides the red headed kid that made a joke about shooting me if I took off with a handgun I was looking at, not a bad place. Could’ve done without that though. The gun community is already seen as villainous. Jokes/threats like that don’t really help.
Great fun clean. Great place to blow of steam
Scott was instructor and he was extremely knowledgeable. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this facility!
Very clean and well-ventilated range. Outstanding staff. Great place to shoot.
Shot here at the Franklin location for my 1st time. Very nice and clean. Staff was friendly. Ill definitely be going back.
Big selection full staff willing to help
I knew a good deal about guns in general but, taking their 101 handgun course... I learned so much more.
Rarely have I seen such a positive and incredible change in a business when new ownership took over, but Nashville Armory has done it with the Franklin store and range.Previously, I would have struggled to say anything positive about this location when it was EW, but now the range fairies have come in (along with obvious solid planning and hard work) and transformed the location into a prime example of what’s best about our sport and the firearms community.Air filtration, safety, lighting, cleanliness, friendlyand genuinely helpful and engaging staff, easy to use target systems, some solid rental options including popular recent releases, and then little extra touches like hooks for your jacket and tubular holders for your extra targets...all this and a re-configured front store area will make you feel (if you remember the place under previous ownership) like you’re dreaming. But it is solid reality and what a blessing to have it in our area. This location is such a welcome addition to the great Nashville Armory location, especially for those who live further south. My thanks to all who worked so hard to do this makeover. You’ve done an incredible job. Can’t wait to return.
I just took the 101 class and it was great! Jason the instructor was awesome!
After purchasing two glocks and a ruger rifle from this location over the last 4-5 months, Ill never be a customer again after being helped by that punk Tre. Obviously I interrupted his lecherous staring at the female shooting range customers to make him briefly do his job. He was pretty irritated. Until his boss came in, then he half heartedly attempted to appear competent. I highly recommend Franklin Gun Shop, they have knowledgeable employees who are actually interested in doing what theyre paid to do.
First time visitor. Nolan was extremely helpful in assisting us with the Berretta Tactical, sight options, inventory, and ordering information. We will be back.
Super friendly and helpful team. Great facility and a nice selection of guns you can rent.
Small, yet the staff was friendly and helpful
Good prices and great customer service. Highly recommended.
Nashville Armory is a fantastic range to go and shoot. I was shooting my Kafir Gear Kafir15 300 blackout pistol and Kafir Gear Kafir15 5.56 rifle on their indoor range. It was a fantastic experience and I would recommend them for a downtown range.
Nashville Armory of Franklin is a lot smaller than the main Nashville Armory location, but the range is still spectacular. Great selection of rental guns, hundreds of guns for sale in the retail, large classroom, and 10 very nice shooting lanes.
Excellent facility and great staff! Very modern range and very clean.
Helpful and knowledgeable staff and wide selection of products. Its the first place I go.
Clean facility with mostly friendly staff, except for Travis, the general manager. I took my moms friend shooting since she recently got her carry permit and wanted some more range time. After always having positive experiences in the past the Armorys primary facility, I felt confident that the same would be true here. The range officer was helpful and approachable; the clerk working behind the counter seemed like a normal human being, but Travis, the general manager of the facility, was curt, unfriendly, and very off-putting. He made my mothers friend uncomfortable with his discourteous demeanor and when I tried to work with him on going over some firearm fundamentals with my moms friend, he repeated to me angrily no handling of guns on the sales floor. I asked if perhaps we could stand at the counter and use a rental gun to ensure she had a proper grip and knew how to squeeze, sight, focus, etc., and again he refused, simply stating no handling of guns on the sales floor. I was surprised and disappointed by this surly, wooden-headed rigidity, but I was even more surprised when I simply requested that my aunts cell phone be left at the front desk for her to pick up (it accidentally wound up in a bag meant for my mother, whom I was going to visit at Vanderbilt Hospital after our shooting session). Again, Travis refused to have anything to do with it, stating that he could not be held responsible for other peoples items. ...Really. The phone cant be held at the front desk for a little old lady to come pick up? Okay, buddy. Travis, your attitude is terrible. There were a total of four customers in there that Monday afternoon, including myself. You were not overworked and I can only surmise that your severe lack of any customer service is due to an incurable social disorder, or perhaps you were hangry. Either way, I will be forwarding this information on to the manager at the primary facility, as well as the owner. I will not be doing business with Nashville Armory anymore. You were an embarrassment to me and to your employers. As a fellow retailer, I can understand having a bad day, but we dont take it out on customers. We dont curtly repeat the rules with no communication or understanding for a request to assist in some confidence building with a new customer or even something simple like holding a cell phone at the front desk for an elderly lady to come by and pick up because she is perhaps a little scatterbrained and accidentally placed it in a bag I was taking up to my mother (her cousin) who has been diagnosed with leukemia. I can only surmise that Travis is either not suited for working with the public and should be left in whatever toilet you found him, or he has some phantom resentment towards me. I have no idea why he would be so rude but I would be happy to say all of this to his face or confront any of you who wish to defend him as his conduct towards me and my mothers friend is completely unacceptable. But again, the range officer was very helpful and the other guy at the front desk (long dark beard, tattoos) seemed like a normal human being. Neither of which can be said for Travis. My mothers friend was very put off by his attitude and did not feel comfortable, which I found embarrassing as it was my idea to patronage your range. I highly suggest Travis get an attitude adjustment.
Incredible experience everytime Im in Nashville Im going back.
So glad I dont have to drive to downtown Nashville to shoot anymore. The new Nashville Armory location in Franklin is so nice and the staff are extremely helpful.
Great range, nice people
Great Gun and range....
