Good complex, the interior is well laid out. We were there for Basketball tournaments - they need some sort of noise barriers/sound curtains between the courts. Good concession area. Need a little bigger parking area. Easy to locate & to access, right off if the Interstate.

Its decent for a sports complex. Features basketball and soccer. Restrooms could use some attention. The leagues are well run though. Fairly level competition for the younger leagues atleast. Concessions are good. Parking tends to be difficult to find at times. So overall Ill say 3 of 5 but it could easily move upward with some minor changes.

Need to hire better experienced refs that know the game of basketball and the rules of basketball. Kids get hurt by not blowing the whistle and calling appropriate calls. I watched a red last weekend walk up and down the court during a tournament game with her back turned away from the play quite a bit of the time. Her attitude was that she didnt want to be there or doing that job. How can you make a call when youre not even looking at the players? Then a ref who comments to parents that he sees players walking (traveling ) but wont make the call, even when the parents tell him Then make the call, only to have him minutes later wave a basket off and say that kid is travelling. Now he going to prove a point to these parents that he has the power. What a small person this ref is. How unprofessional he is. The parents and coaches get upset because the refs are horrible. If you run a tournament get some top notch refs in. But dont worry about our team. We wont be back. We should have known with only 3 teams in our division what was up. Now we know. Good luck finding teams for your next tournament. Hire some good refs.

Ly
Review №32

If you are not a Waynesville or Kingdom team you will not get treated fairly by the refs, they make it obvious and if you try to talk to the refs they argue it. One ref said the girl Waynesville put in at the end of the session was in Florida the whole month...ok. She even had the same number as someone else in the team. So they filled out the roster with two girls of the same number? The Refs are aware that Waynesville adds girls to the game mid session depending on if they a play a team that may beat them. I have watched Refs clearly make calls to change the outcome of the game. I have heard of teams not playing here just for that reason. Been around the sport for more than 30 years and I have never seen such intentionally poor reffing. This does nothing for the girls working hard nor for the girls who’s coach/ref cheats to win. We will not be bringing any teams here again, we will spend our money elsewhere.

The facility itself is clean & surprisingly well maintained. A lot going on during a tournament time. A large variety of snacks & beverages were offered @ what seemed reasonable prices to me. Except for the bottled water, why do places try to make such a large profit on plain water. I bring my own for that reason. Other than that, if people would behave like adults it would have been a super experience. Use a portion of my senior admission to fix the latch on the center stall in the womens restroom, and Ill give it 5 stars!!

Extremely poor.......main basketball court was not even with one basket obviously lower than the other and shably maintained. Not a structured tournament environment as per game operations go(scoreboard operations, scorebook keeping and the like.) The teams that are sponsored by The Kingdom are devoid of any sportsmanship from the Coaches yelling at other teams players or their players pushing our kids.Overall a sorry excuse for a tournament...my son wont be back. Its just not worth it.

Review №47

First time my Kid ever played basketball. At the point of enrollment, the older woman that attend the front desk was very rude and disrespectful, wasnt very helpful in giving any information. Never knew when practice was, there was so much miscommunication with the coach, not enough interest in each child on the team, just the best players, and the only thing the coach was interested in was to win every game. It had nothing to do with building encouragement for the children, and exposing them, giving them skills the right way. I am so frustrated that I spent $95.00 for 8 weeks just to watch my son sit half of the game every single game, and on top of that, I had to pay $5.00 every game to enter. This place will Never Get my money again. worst experience as a new coming parent! I advise any new parents not to waste your time, hard earned money, and energy in this place. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!

I don’t care who you are and who it comes down to by calling mike roe and him telling you to play a basketball game no matter what. Well guess what if you want kids to play on slippery courts to injure themselves then you need to be there all night dealing with the courts after each game. As much as you guys make with al the sports and day care you should have a little better system to take care of the place. We about had three kids get hurt tonight on the court and they paused our game to talk to whoever was there and called the owner and said we play no matter what and no make ups. I can understand no make up games but I would like to see anyone else go out there and try to play on an ice skating rink for a court. Place is a joke. And having to pay to watch your kid play I think is crazy when it’s just a recreational league that has to play against a lot of select teams that say to you this is just scrimmage for us to get better. Scheduling needs to be done better. Last year we played and it wasn’t this bad. I respect the two referees that were on court three tonight for the 8-9 game. Not sure of their names but but thank you for making the right call and not wanting to see these kids get hurt. I can guarantee you this will be our last year playing here. Kingdom sports center only cares about the money. You can obviously tell that by walking In the place. Needs cleaned up big time!

Every time we go its a total zoo. The areas inside are simply too small to hold the number of people that attend basketball or soccer games. The parking lot is so undersized that even during the week you have to line the streets to go in. In my 5 year olds soccer league we have had to self referee almost 50% of the games because the refs no show constantly. If you can avoid this place I would.

Our son played rec leauge basketball for the first time. The kids on his team, and other Kingdom teams, were kids who had never played or did not make their school team. We rarely played another Kingdom team and mainly played Select Teams, were we lost by over 30-90 points every time. We were not given practice time at the Kingdom every week. After the season started, we were given a few Friday night slots for practice. We will not be back to the Kingdom to play any sports.

This place is garbage. I pay 500 for a league you pay to get in the door every game. Parents have to volunteer to keep score and clock. Not to mention it is basically street ball once your kid gets on the court. It seems like your only going to get a foul call if you are getting knocked out. My son will not play here again. There is a nice place in Mason will really good comp as well.

Review №72

Expensive door fees for all games and tournaments. Place is run to make maximum money by spreading games over multiple days, ie more entry fees. 3 day tournament guarantees 3 trips even if you do not win a single game. Games are kept to 1 hour or less by using a running clock and most referees simply do not make quality foul calls. This hurry up system does not help teach or improve a young players game as blatant fouls frequently go uncalled. Most referees do not hustle or even break a sweat as it seems they are there for the money not to do a quality job. We like the fact that theres a place to play off season basketball but the Kingdom leaves room for improvement. The facilities have not been updated in the 10 plus years since our oldest son played there. In conclusion if you enjoy street basketball where the most physical team usually wins whether talented or not then you will like Kingdom Sports.
