Great round. Good staff. Did great during covid
Great staff. Fun course for sharpening your short game skills. Bring a flash light for the evening start times.
Anytime I beat my brother in-law is a good day even better after he pared the 1st 4 holes
Probably has to be one of the most beautiful golf courses ever they work so hard to maintain it and it not only shows, it Sparkles and Shines....
Nice, socially distant activity that is open until 9 pm. It is pretty well lit, especially the driving range. Good fun!
Havent played here in many years. Great course in very good condition. Fun place to practice your short game.
I was very disappointed. I had company from out of town and we had booked a tee time for early morning. We arrive and the starter would not let us play for there were no carts and a tournament was in town. Very weird how I had a confirmation and still was not able to go out this morning. 10/9/2020. I had been going there for years and this was the last straw.
No experiences, just coming to walk & run. But I love it.
David L Baker is perfect for everyone! They even have Disc Golf! If you havent tried it yet, I highly recommend it!
Fun little course. Great for practicing iron play. And these guys are the ones you want in your corner, while the whole world freaks out. Theyve maintained an excellent environment through out all of this craziness. Ive been to many other courses where everyone seems on the verge on an aneurysm. Not Baker. Everybody be chillin. Thanks Bake.
This is a fun little golf course. Very short holes, so you probably wont be hitting driver. Good driving range. Pretty laid back atmosphere.
Long distance only, bring your best driver and chuck that plastic as far as you can throw.
Great driving range, love that its open now that quarantine restrictions have been loosened! Staff was friendly and the course was well kept. Reasonably priced. Would go again.
Just didnt like the greens and the fairways. Tee boxes are okay but all need a lot of improving.
This is the longest disc golf course in Orange County. Disc golfers are only allowed after 4pm. The course is lit in case you are out past sunset, but bring a flashlight with you just in case because the last 2 holes are poorly lit. $14 if youre walking and $19 if you want to play with a cart, which is recommended. On Mondays they have a PDGA sanctioned league for a few bucks more, and you dont need to be a PDGA member to register. They do dive for water discs periodically, and its a small retrieval fee to get it back.
A very friendly place for beginners. Just be careful for stray golf balls coming your way from adjacent holes. Greens are pretty decent but a little on the slow side. They have par 3s and par 4s. You can play at night too because they have lights. Sometimes it is hard to see your ball at night but its nice to be able to play at night for the avid golfers. Overall its a decent place with a friendly atmosphere.
My favorite local course and night golf too.. We play softball next door several nights a week and try to get to the course here often.. Staff is super friendly and helpful.. Just got in brand new golf carts too. Try the course
Solid course. Only $20 to walk before 630 AM
A great place to practice your game.
Greatest escape and relaxation for me. I love this place thanks to my husband .
Great executive course. Reasonably priced.
This is my first time here, we came here as a referral from a friend. My 7 year old son is interested in golf so we tried the driving range and he loved it. The guy working in the golf shop was very helpful and even gave my son 4 different clubs to try for free along with the cheap $5 bucket of balls.
A great short hole course. Bunkers and lakes to keep you honest. Squirrels and ducks add atmosphere. Good pro shop. Plenty of carts but walking is a good option. Free trundler available.
David L Baker is a great community course that is well kept and not overly expensive. At $35/round (+ senior discounts) its hard to beat. No military discount but walking on isnt usually an issue. The crush burgers at the end of the game are very good and the ladies behind the counter are great. All in all this course is a great place to try and tune up a beginners game or to get out without busting the bank account.
One of my favorite places to play. As a below average player this is a great in between course that allows me to use a variety of clubs. I love the layout of the course and the workers are always nice. I intend to come back even more this year
I would like to make tee time easier
Staff was friendly. 3 friends paid for 18 holes. But we could only play 9. Got a rain chain. Course is decent for the price. Had fun.
Great staff, very well kept for an executive course. Awesome for mid to short game practice. Weekends arent bad and weekdays are very quiet. Shot 5 over last week, love this course. But stay away, I dont want it to get crowded lol
Considering our foursome had hole in one, id say we really liked course greens in great shape. Rest of course needs a facelift though.
Grass on the weekdays is why I go. Grass needs a little more seed I think. What do I know about that though.... Friendly staff and good pricing.
Terrible. Restrooms smell like urine. I guess you get what you pay for.
Super fun for disc golf they allow you to rent golf carts and they sell beer and cocktails. Highly recommend it
Nice place to golf after work with lights that stay on until 9pm ...
Best course for the price in orange county! My favorite time to golf here is before 6:30 am so I get their early bird price. The course is a fun course that is great for all levels of players.
Extremely disappointing. Practice putting greens were like putting on your own front yard. The driving range was acceptable as most of them are, but the golf course itself is way overpriced for what is considered to be a par 3 executive course. They are prices are commensurate with full size Championship golf courses, which this is not one of!
Nice course
Fun little executive flat 18 hole course . Pro staff friendly and bucket of balls and pull cart included in price. Good place to work on your short to mid iron shots.
Fun golf course. Course is in good shape.
Fun course, always fun. This time it was not much fun. They were re sodding the tee boxes effectively knocking a third of the distance off the course. Im all for course maintenance, but please tell me when I make a reservation. Great food and always a good drink!
Course is in good shape
Fun course for evening golf. Able to start at 6pm and play all 18 holes. Golf Course is light for night play and is not too busy. Pro Shop is nice and affordable.
Good deals if youre a member
Pros:Relatively long for an executive course so you get to bust out the driver (8 par 4s - 4 on each 9)LightedCheap (especially later in the day. After 4pm is like $18 to ride)Cons:Tee boxes, greens, and bunkers are usually not in the greatest shape (people dont seem to care about replacing divots, repairing ball marks, or raking the sand)No cart serviceNo marshall (this can obviously be viewed as a pro as well depending on your habits)Many lights are usually out (although many were recently replaced) and due to many leaves etc on the course it can be a challenge to find your ball at night)Overall:Great value! This is a really fun little (but longer than most executive courses) and challenging course that is easy on the wallet. Definitely recommend!
Nice disc golf, worth the price.
My friends and I played David L Baker every other week.We find that they are very very friendly and try to help us constantly to have a better time playing golf. Its really a great place. Im glad they asked me so I can share how great we feel about the course and the people, especially the starters who work there! Thanks much and go there if you get a chance.
The hot water in the mens room in the Baker Parkside bar and grill was very hot. Almost to the point of burning. I addressed it with one of the servers and all I got was, oh Im sorry but there is nothing we can do about it Im sorry but that is not acceptable. That needs to be looked at.
Really nice course from what I observed .
Nice easy course. 3 and 4 par only and some odd the par 4 ate pretty short. Great for beginners and those that just want to play a little small ball for an easier day. Still can lose your ball in the water though so stay vilegent.
Nice par 3 coarse 18 holes and well kept
Best executive course around. Greens played fast today.
Course was alot of fun but really slow playIt took over 4 hours to play 18 holes on a SundayHas no Marshall on the course they really need oneGreat deal for $28 that includes cart
Best deal around for executive golf. I have been there many many times and still enjoy it. Soft greens and a variety of tee shots make a straight shooter out of any skill level in this Fountain Valley memorial course and keep their clientele satisfied. They have a great monthly pass, too.
Great place to learn golf.
Great golf course to work on short game skills. No Driver is really needed unless uou want to experience the feel of driving the green on a few holes. Great course condition. Friendly and polite staff.
Cool place
My first time playing . I had a great time
Always great good for your irons good people thanks again see you next time
Very short course. Greens in below average condition. Ugly driving range with old mats. Fun if you want short iron practice
Great place you wont regret it
All these years I never knew this golf course was totally separated from Mile Square Golf. David Baker Gold are way friendlier staff and the 62 par 18 hole is perfect for beginners like me.
Fun course. opens early (with lights). very reasonable price. gets a lot of traffic, so greens get a workout. the grounds crew takes a good care as possible
Really like this course to work on short game.
Awesome practice greens. Driving range is top notch. Great experience in golf....
Well maintained. Short par fours at generally 250 yards. Couple of long par 3s but most are 100 to 150 yards.
This is definitely a Muni course that is in okay condition but definitely has pretty slow pace of play. We should have finished in about 2 hours but it took 3.
Great Monday night disc golf league, solid price for beer and snacks in the clubhouse.
Beautiful Venue for Weddings on a Golf Course, Classic Limos, Newport Beach
Great little laid back executive course. Good prices and fun atmosphere.
Great staff - came here to try golfing first time ever. Impressionable first intro to golf world. Driving range was awesome. Will be back for sure.
Went for a wedding. Beautifully set up, food was delicious, very clean.
Decent executive course. The greens are about as kept up as you would expect for a round of golf this cheap. I play a lot at night and they just recently fixed all the lights.
I love this course. Especially not golf with friends. Its very affordable, the course is kept in great condition, the golf carts are practically brand new and the staff is friendly
Friendly staff. Nice course. Everyone had a good time. Chilled beers and plenty to eat.
Short n sweet course
I truly enjoyed the fast greens, the large numbers of par fours, the hazards, 18 different holes, the long par threes, but most of all I enjoyed the weather and the kindness of the staff that work there. Thank you for having a decent priced golf course with great fairways. I will golf there every Monday for as long as I am able.
This intermediate course is my favorite warm up game! The course is always in very nice conditions: fairways, greens, and teeboxes! The holes have many hazards and the course layout is diverse. However, the pace of play is Horrible, that is, if you go anywhere from 8am - 3pm. Theres also Night golf! Its a wonderful course, but I recommend early tee times, or super twilight rates. Either way it doesnt matter because the course is set up with bright lights. Keep in mind, normally 4 - 5 lights are out.
This little par3/4 course is tougher than it looks. Great staff, very welcoming and friendly. Oh, and only 20 bucks!!
The lounge has a good atmosphere, and great crush burger.
Slow and other golfers tend to be novices or uncouth and slow/disrespectful as ill get, but good pricepoint and night golfing is a bonus for anyone who wants to get in nine holes but works late... another point for the guys in the proshop who are professional and helpful and cool
Nice golf course, good for golfers who are not pros
Nice executive course. The grounds are kept up pretty well
We attended an outside wedding there and it was a very neat setup!
First experience playing Disc Golf on a ball golf course. Beautiful course and lights for night golf.
Great course. Driving range and practice greens are challenging, but thats what we golfers want.
Horrible Venue!!! If I could give negative stars I would. I had my wedding here on April 6th, 2018. Booking the venue was great initially. The events manager Chris Castro was super helpful, responded quickly and answered questions. A couple months after we booked he stopped responding and was impossible to get ahold of. Turns out he left the course to work elsewhere and was replaced by Nicole Lemus. Chris had promised my fiancé comped rounds of golf for him and his groomsmen, golf carts to use around the facility the day of for pictures, the option to leave decorations overnight and pick up the next morning among other things. All were deciding factors for us when we booked. Nicole not only refused to make good on any of this, she was completely unorganized the day of the wedding and no idea what to do, what was happening or how a wedding is supposed to run. She was rude to my maid of honor and other guests. She did not request our guest count until a couple days before the event and then told us we were stuck paying for 120 people after I told her we only had 100 because it was too late to change. She was nowhere to be found frequently during the evening. We were taking pictures on the course adjacent to the ceremony site and we were kicked off by staff because there were people still playing golf a couple holes away. All the lights in the reception room where turned completely on for most the beginning of the reception and during our first dance and not dimmed. She threw away our wedding cake and refused to give my MOH a box or container to take some home for me. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable! We are so disappointed in our choice of venue. This was supposed to be a special day and she made it more stressful and left us feeling so disappointed and upset. We spent about $10K to have our wedding here - and btw a 20% tip was automatically included - and I feel like we were completely ripped off. I know we will probably never get any money back but I hope this review helps others to NOT book this location for a wedding or any other event.
Great fun. Night lights for twilight!
Great afternoon Green fees.. Always a great day ay Baker!
Play there every Tuesday staff is friendly helpful and courteous
Public par 3 and driving range in fountain valley, very good value
Golf at night under lights? Thats posh! Closes at 10pm? Thats fantastic! Please, Let me at that driving range, thank you!
Nicely maintained and affordable a little short on some holes but all and all a very enjoyable time
