Great trails, beautiful trees. My kids love the playground too! Parking can be hard to find, but it is worth it. Go check it out. You wont regret it!
I had never visited this park until recently and I was surprised. It’s hidden away along the Trinity river in a quiet neighborhood next to a couple of golf courses. Lots of trees and nature. It’s part of a longer trail system that goes all the way to downtown Fort Worth. Go. You’ll enjoy it.
Oakmont is awesome! Theres this point you can reach where youre higher up than anything else in sight! Makes you feel like youre at the top of a mountain. Without all the work haha
Lovely clean park. The trails are perfect for running and walking, although a bit tight for cycling traffic. Love the way the trees and all around nature obstruct direct sunlight so it’s cool even on a really hot, sunny day.
We found this place when we were tryinf to kill time waiting for my son at his tutoring sessions twice a week. My 7 year old still loves the playground despite it being a little small, and we love the trail. It does NOT go in a circle around the park, which we found out the hard way. Great little park :)
Paved (and mostly shaded) trails that connect to other parks, so basically you can just keep walking as much as you like.
Great park to hit up the trails at! Either stay on the main paved path, or venture off into the wooded paths.
One of my absolute favorite parks to go for a walk. The trails are long with endless choices to get yourself into hiking. Its within the nice neighborhood of Bellaire and it never feels unsafe at any time of the day. The people here usually keep to themselves and every now and then theyll say hi as they pass you. If you are going to trail away from the path I recommend you wear some comfortable shoes and not sandals. Also bug spray goes a long way if you dont want to leave with bites, haha. Overall a nice park if you want to go by yourself or with your family.
Has been very nice to walk through in the Winter and Spring. However, I went last night and saw THREE HUGE HAIRY SPIDERS on our walk. Im not even kidding!!!! I have never seen such a thing in Texas! I dont know if they were tarantulas or a new kind of species this summer, but they were EVERYWHERE! Please be aware of this as you bring your children! I will not be returning as I have a huge fear of spiders....and big hairy ones???!! No thanks LOL! I might be back in the cooler months but you wont see me there this summer!
Love the trails here. Great for strollers, kids and adults. Playground isnt bad either.
Loved the park, it has like mini trail/forest. Its really dark at night but you get to see the fireflies
Great place to go for a walk on the trails, take the kids to play or just to be in nature and meditate...
Beautiful scenery and great trails spend a day here enjoying nature at a safe distance during covid
This place is awesome. If youre into bike riding or just walking in nature this is your spot.
Nice park. But the residents, (who seem to be constantly awake as if on illicit substances) tend to get a bit territorial about the place and can make things slightly unwelcoming. Im sure they are lovely people.
I love how spacious it is. I love that the trail is paved and how out in nature it is. You basically forget that you are in the middle of the city.
Well maintained and good mix of shade and sun on walking paths
Beautiful trees and a peaceful landscape make for a serene escape in the shade.
Nice park, good shading, good trails, to bad the people over there are rude, and the majority of these rude people are elderly on bikes. Share the trails not go plowing thru saying, move move. Pedestrians have the right away.
THE TRAIL WAS GREAT, THE HIKE WAS AMAZING! PEOPLE VERY FRIENDLY.
Gorgeous paved trails and wide open space for kids to play!
Aaron lost his keys and we were both lost in the sauce
Very nice park with some interesting trails
Clean amd peaceful trail and park.
Excellent for walking, running or bicycling. Playgrounds, and areas for just laying down
Excellent park with lots of trees, a very long walk / biking trail, a playground for the small children, and plenty of space!
Oakmont Park is a wonderful option for many outdoor activities! From exercise, bike rides, meditation or a picnic. There are several different beautiful pathways with bridges to run, walk or ride. Trails to hike. A play ground for children. A serene waterfall area. Not to mention how many excellent photographic opportunities this park’s beauty offers! This is absolutely a favorite of the park’s in Fort Worth for me and my family!
I was shown this park by a friend of mine and I was highly impressed with the hiking trails the creek itself and the just overall atmosphere
I love this park! A big grassy area, an area with spaced out trees perfect for watching birds or squirrels, and plenty of sidewalk and trails all around.
It was a very nice place to walk
Great place for dog and kid
Lovely trail along the creek
Shaded park and very clean.
Loved this park, nice path for walking and cycling, the views are awesome
Nice place to walk and relax
An escape from the hustle and bustle of the mundane. Friendly people and serene scenery. Great for biking or walking with the kids. Grab water on hot days and dip your feet in the Trinity!
I walked 4 miles in the park !! It was simply beautiful!! Lush woods, pretty neighborhoods, lots of trees for shade. Bat boxes ( yes, bat boxes), & fruit trees. I walked from Oakmont Park to Trinity trail head and back. The entire trail is 5.5 miles long. There were cyclers fellow walkers and joggers. Not crowded, but not desolate either. There was a playground for children also. The waterfall was pretty and relaxing. There are benches along the way, in case you want to take in the views or just rest. Im definitely going to make this part of my regular walking routine. Oh yeah, dogs are allowed too, but must be leashed. Bruno (my cocker spaniel) is gonna really like this trail...lots to smell.
My family and I really love this park because there is a trail that my daughter can play her scooter and my wife and I can walk hand in hand to enjoy the park. Beside that there is a playground too. Its a good place for couple and for family
A beautiful place to walk. And so peaceful. Scenery is great. & The beautiful song of the birds
No parking very small area for parking fishing spots are limited
Nice place for a walk
Awesome playground, awesome layout, great trails and 8 LOVE the hill.
This is a beautiful place! Nice trails for us and our grand kids
Dont hate this place but Google says I was there.
Love this park.
Great walking/cycling park. It was a little disappointing that with all the rain, the falls were obviously dammed up elsewhere. Lots of little wildlife..buttrflies, dragon flies, cicada, bat boxes, great place to take children..though early morning visit might be best for playground equipment too hot in afternoon!
Beautiful hidden treasure in Funky town
Love the walk to the water falls!
Good to go
This is a great place to go hiking once you find it. Nice open field for dogs and small park for kids.
Very nice park, walking trails
Their bike trails are so relaxing
Went hiking with friends along the dirt paths. Theres a lot of foot traffic along the paved paths it seems but enjoyed it. Its very peaceful and fun to walk and explore. Q
I would have liked the trail to have been water to ride my bicycle
Great park with paved pathway for biking, running and walking the dogs on a leash. Open dawn to dusk. Very nice neighborhoods nearby with people out and about all the time. Take a short walk up the path and around a curve to find the playground area with open green fields for frisbee and picnics. Near the parking lot is a portable bathroom at start of pathway. This porta potty is large enough for a stroller to fit inside as well as a dog if need be. I even saw a guy take his bicycle inside once. Not sure if it has a hand washing station inside. Ill check it out and post back when I get a chance.
Some shady trails and overall very clean.
Nice spacious place
Great walking trails
This park runs contiguous with Clear Fork Park and Pecan Valley Park. It has more than 2.5 miles of paved trails that run alongside the Clear Fork of the Trinity River. There’s also a smallish waterfall that looks picturesque. The park has playgrounds and picnic benches. This park is a wooded retreat in the midst of an urbanized part of the city.
Easy access, relaxing step away from city hustle.
Beautiful park great outdoor walking area. Nice little playground that was secluded and not busy at all.
Great place to walk, run, bike, picnic, plus play ground but please dont leave kids unattended, any place can have an emergency room accident ensue.
I like this park. It is beautiful and clean. It has nice trails with paved sidewalks.
We are in love with this hidden gem! Wonderful walking trails that wind deep into a wooded area. A small playground that is always clean, shaded by the largest Oak tree I’ve ever seen.Pokémon Stops line the trail and are always ready to be challenged by the ever present Team Instinct.
Nice place to take the pups.
Beautiful walking trails,friendly
Parks trail connected from Pecan Valley Park trail
Nice park with walking trails and a playground. Lots of room for kids to run and some good climbing trees. We have been to birthday parties here and regular playdates.
The most beautiful trail Ive ever walked. Its like your in the middle of the forest.
Nice paved trails for walking, jogging or bicycling
Beautiful park with big open fields and pathways for a nice stroll.
A wonderful place to take your children for play, a bike ride, or a picnic.
Clean safe trails and shaded most of the way
Very clean and pleasant place to go for a walk with your family and pets. First time going on an overcast day. Im sure it would be better when the weather clears
Great concrete trails. Good for long boarding, biking, skating, or walking. People dont pick up after their dogs, but I didnt really notice doggy bags supplied anywhere either. Cool creeks to explore. Looked like there was a nice park area for kids. Big field for activities.
This place was very sketchy and creepy there was nobody there there was a ton of woods it just felt very very creepy to be there with two kids and it was just I dont know how to explain it it was just weird and on top of that tha playground isnt even big there was a lot of nice scenery for people who like nature and I do like nature but this place is very sketchy to me I definitely will not go back I felt very unsafe Id much rather go to Foster Park that isnt sketchy
Loves it
Nice, clean and quiet location and great scenery !
Great for walking and/ or biking
Beautiful walking trails with a lovely waterfall. Unfortunately the water has an unpleasant odor.
Beautiful park!!!!!!!! Could spend the whole day there.
