Cool place. Besides it being historic it was nice. Food was good from the Love Shack. Our waitress was nice friendly and fast. Good music!! Im sure it would have been more crowded if not for covid but a good crowd. Pretty inexpensive for eating and drinking. Neat place!!
This place really cool. Its an experience to have if your in the stockyards. The bar staff is cool and put off a good vibe. The prices are reasonable too and they make a pretty good drink.
Always a staple when you go to the Stockyards, I love the history and the over all feel of this bar. Every time I go have a really great time.
We have been coming to the White Elephant for over 20 years. Will never go back. Waitress used unexceptionable language as she told us to get the**** out. The music was so loud we were trying to place an order with her, not yelling at her. Tried to call and report to management, they never answer phone. Staff very rude
My grandma suggested this place and it has the classic honky tonk vibe with everything you want in a dive bar. Plus the first live music Ive seen in months
Quaint bar! Good service and drinks!
Great little place, excellent entertainment and the musicians were great.
Server was from Philadelphia, but very nice!! She was attentive & nice. LLOTS OF HISTORY !!
Nice atmosphere, great drinks...wish we could move between White Elephant and Love Shack with our cocktails....bNot allowed. A loud venue so do not recommend if you want to chat.
Always enjoy getting a fee drinks here, a long FTW tradition
Had a great time staff was awesome.
Great little saloon in the heart of the stockyards.
We came in after seeing the longhorns and glad we did. The drinks were average price, but the food was where its at. Very cheap for bar food which is super interesting and really well done. The bar tender let us know that its owned by a famous chef along with the restaurant next door. The decor was what you would expect for a saloon with a pool table, lots of room and a stage for live music. The service was great as well
One of the best honky tonk venues in Fort Worth!
I love this place. Ive been going since 1987. Great staff and music. If youre true country then this place is home. It is the old style bar not one of these new hip hop wanna be country bars
I walked into the bar thinking Id be stepping into my memories version of CDs bar in Walker Texas Ranger. I loved the show as a child and grew up watching it with my mom. It was one of the things we loved to do together. So it was a little disappointing that it really doesnt look like the set they used to film the televised bar. However, it was probably through the use of creative camera angles, that they were able to make the set look so drastically different. If youre like me and your reason for coming is to catch a glimpse of the bar for the sake of nostalgia. You will likely be disappointed by the sight of white elephants adorning the walls and the hats on the ceiling. However, Ive heard they have nice live entertainment on the weekends (I went on a weekday). So if thats your interest than it might be worth a visit.
Live music, good drinks.
Under covid law, was ok. No complaints
Terrible.... what can I tell you. One... service is understaffed and slow on a Saturday night. Two... menu was unimpressive and sloppy.... even for a bar. Three... I thought the live music might save the experience. WRONG... the acoustics and layout made it an unpleasant venue. I felt bad for the musicians and artist on stage. Please hit like if this helps you.
Good food, good beer and great company!!
One of my favorite bars to take people from out of town or country. All of the Stockyards is great but this bar is one of my faves. It has history, literally on the walls. Live entertainment at night and you can order food from the Love Shack next door.I go there with my 73 year old mother to play shuffle board. Cool place and you really get the flavor of the Stockyards at this place.
Love it every time I go there. Tons of history and theres always live music.
Its a bar. We needed a drink and got one here. It was hard to tell if the bartender was being quick with us or just direct. There werent many people in there so there was no rush. For a touristy area of Fort Worth, we didnt feel very welcome. Ill try somewhere else next time.
I love places with history. And I love places with some quirk to it.
Played acoustic set. Crowd was a blast. Staff was a blast. Great time.
Great drinks, great music!
A wonderful Texas tradition....nice seating cozy atmosphere friendly place
The white elephant Bar is as much Old Fort Worth LG brick streets are they have got a thousand hats on the ceiling my dads is one of those and mine is one of those they have beer and wine and liquor at reasonable prices especially for Fort Worth and theyll serve you with the pile if you want a place to go watch a Sunday afternoon Western band this is as good a place as any in Fort Worth and if youre a tourist you cant go wrong by stopping and having a drink cool off in a white elephant
This is a great place, but when in Texas, we wanted country music. Although good, the live band was more than rock than country. The ambiance is really cool and western.... until we found out that this was the filming for CDS BAR AND Grill from Walker, Texas Ranger!!!! Outstanding!!!
Good live music and a fun atmosphere. We had a great time.
Good drinks if youre thing is getting roofied.
Refreshing, cold beer on tap. Delicious food from Love Shack
It’s a classic bar you should visit if you go to the cowboy town. The interior is cool, love the onion rings!
Great time had by all!
Had great margeritas here with love music and a friendly crowd.
Didnt get to stay long but they had live music and dancing and that was surprising for the space there and the gimmick was seen fully. Im a fan of elephants first off and this place was right up that alley I stared at the walls for 20 mins lol. I didnt get to experience too much but the people seemed nice enough and personable. Maybe I can get a better idea after I officially move here. See ya again guys.
While I was there for a private party, I enjoyed the drinks and food. Both were good and ensured i would return. Live music was great and i loved the decor of the bar. Was a great place for the party and i would likely not have been to the area otherwise.
Cool nostalgic old bar in the stockyard area of Fort Worth. Great entertainment
On Business trip, nete to see history of this place.
So much fun! Great food, great atmosphere!
Nice place. Drunk prices a little high, but then again it is the stockyards.
Friendly a atmosphere and great staff. Fun and met a group from New Jersey who were really enjoying the experience.
Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. The history of the saloon is really interesting and the decor is one of a kind.
Lisa and I visited the White Elephant for the first time. She flew in from California on Friday. We both loved the old west atmosphere .... we will be back again.
Had my first lone star beer it was pretty good plus under the caps there riddles to be solved.
Wonderful place. Very helpful and courteous staff.
Everything was spot on, except for the cooz hound at the bar named Sergio. He was totally creepy and should have gone home hours ago. Just sayin. Otherwise we had a fantastic time at your establishment. Thank you and good night.
Good old fashioned saloon. Loved it
Lost my credit card here and they still had it three days later! Good people and great cowtown vibes! Also delicious drink menu.
This is a classic amongst classics. A must see for all stockyard visits. Theres a great lineup of Texas country artists that comes through weekly and craft beers/spirits to match.
A great spot to grab a drink and listen to some good music if youre in the Stockyards. Check out Brad Hines if he is there!
Great service good food
Fun place with attentive staff and nice patrons. I danced all day and into the evening with several ppl. I wish I lived here!
Awesome drinks and service, even when crazy busy
This is an awesome old western saloon. Live music, good service, pool table, and a shuffleboard table. We had a blast here.
It’s an older crowd dance floor is extra small. 5$ entry charge. No space for anything. Red river in Dallas is what I’m use to I’m just trying to find something closer that I like to Fort Worth.
Fun bar in the middle of Fort Worth Stockyards! Has live music and a pool table.
Super cool and clean divey bar with awesome live music, friendly bartenders and locals.
Great atmosphere, live music and cold beer! The table service was lacking. Youre better off going up to the bar and getting your own drinks.
Friendly staff and great music
Love visiting this Saloon everytime we come to Texas!
Nice spot to grab a beer and hear life music. Caught Rachel Stacy playing on our visit and she was really good.
A feel good place in a wonderful place in the world. A gateway to the west, with a pure southwest soul
Visiting from England. We liked this bar, its a mix of cowboys and where local youths come to hang out. Exactly what we where looking for in Texas.
My personal favorite bar in Ft. Worth. When you think of Texas, you picture this place. They usually always have live music. Bar tenders are great.
Awesome bar to go into if you are visiting. When I went there was a 5$ cover charge. All of the artists that have played there, have their hat hanging on the wall with their names under it. Make sure you sign the wall.
Unfriendly staff, brought in two friends from out of town and had the worst service. Needless to say they or myself will never go back.
Very old school bar. Guessing by the inside this place has been there a long time. Nothing special to report with this place, its very easy to forget this joint. One good thing was there was a fella selling BBQ right around the corner and that was not forgettable he had some good stuff! If your looking for a good bar near here just head to Billy Bobs!
The White Elephant is a must visit saloon! its just an experience that makes you want to return and enjoy again. Cold beer, great drinks, and you can even order food from the Love Shack. Great music and atmosphere! You may have to stand ir even go to the bar and order your own drink of choice but you really dont mind. You never know who youll meet but you will enjoy yourself! This place kinda takes you back in time. We love it and go everytime we have the chance!
Old school saloon loved the atmosphere
Im from Los Angeles so this was the opposite of whats out there. Not bad....
Always good music and service.
Ox is a great bar tender! great atmosphere! You would be missing out if you didnt stop by .. also if you like Chuck Norris walker Texas ranger was filmed here
Love this place, every time I go in, its a great time!! Never a dull moment at the white elephant!!
Fun place. Erica, aka ‘Merica, was a great bartender. Will definitely go back next time I’m in the DFW area!
A place full of history, where Walker the Texas Ranger was filmed ( CD;s bar). Located in the heart of the StockYards, country music live, cowboy hats on the ceiling, plus real memorabilia all over.
Cool bar. Great atmosphere.
Awesome place to get a drink and great food too!!
Great service and a very interesting, historical place!
Touristy and a bit expensive. If your from out of state its a right of passage
Fun with live music! Good vibes.
Ive been coming here many years. The people who work here are great. If you come to Ft Worth the Stockyards and Elephant are a must.
