Super place to take your kids for gymnastics. They also have spring camps and summer camps usually. They are great at teaching in an effective, but fun way.

Although I admire their prices and how they open Friday nights for fun, we did not like this gym in comparison to other gyms. We made it clear we were new there and didn’t know how they ran things. The staff did not take this into consideration. The kids did not enjoy themselves much. It didn’t feel it was organized in any way, they just don’t communicate well. It was difficult staying there. I wish they’d at least try to not let the place smell like foot fungus, it felt unsafe, unsanitary, and poorly managed in there.

My daughters attended a birthday party here this afternoon and it was by far the worst treatment we have ever received in any birthday venue ever. My 2 year-old and I walked onto the gym area only to have Maya, the teenager working there, scoop her up almost immediately and bring her over to the pit area. I told her to please put my daughter down as she will scream if you put her into the pit area. I was also not sure about how she, as a 2 year old, would fare in the deep and difficult pit. To which Maya began to lecture me on how to take care of my child. A teenager is telling me, a mother of two kids, that I needed to watch my daughter and make sure she did not hurt herself. I responded that I was indeed watching her but that she had come over and scooped her up without so much as asking if she could touch her. After this exchange, Maya decided to then completely ignore my younger daughter. When her dad asked if my daughter could have some cake, Maya completely ignored him. This is a childs birthday party where siblings were welcomed as well. If this establishment wishes to not include younger siblings, do not then allow for them to be a part of any celebrations. Since you do allow for younger children to come, staff your venue with folks who are courteous, patient and professional. That and I will be posting my review on every outlet possible and letting every parent I come across know to AVOID Lone Star Gymnastics.

I love this gymnastics gym! My daughter has been attending for 2 years and she has learned so much since she started at 4. Place is very clean, teachers and staff are great and very caring of their students and any parental concerns; which I haven’t had nor heard of any. Front office caters to what questions us parents may ask!! Keep up the great work!!

I cannot say enough fantastic things about this gym. My daughter started there at 18 months of age and is still there as a teenager. The quality of instruction is top-notch, and they truly care about all the kids. If your child wants to be an elite gymnast, the coaches have trained multiple Olympic gold-medalists. But if you just want your child to be active and healthy, theyve got a whole program for that based on the best bio-mechanical and neurological information available anywhere. Lone Star is our daughters second family and they rock!

I have been a part of the Lone Star family for 20 years. I have transitioned from being an athlete to a coach and I have spent a large portion of my life around the owners and managers at Lone Star Gymnastics. Lone Star Gymnastics is a place that cares about its students/athletes and what is best for them as a person. Lone Star is prepared to do what it takes to make your son/daughter a better person physically and mentally. Lone Stars new facility is amazing and is the best facility in the city. So, if you need a place for your son/daughter to learn gymnastics or how to tumble this is the place for you. Come on in and take a look!

I am not moved by this place. Its cheap, yes. But my daughter is 2, she has already fractured her wrist under the care of the diaper starter class on Wed. Now she is in the new class for 2-3 year olds and the teachers are Great! But they seem to get frustrated with the children and sometimes just ignore them, I cant complain at the fact that my daughter has been wanting to do gymnastics more now, but they havent helped her learn any standards or how to be still like the advertisement of what the class was supposed to be about. I probably will choose another place since this is kind of just a mini daycare or baby sitter for 45 minutes. My baby has hurt her same wrist once again and that just seems peculiar to me.

My girls took a toddler class here years ago and the classes were great. I took them back and we tried a class on Monday at 6pm. It was the most chaotic place with the most unprofessional teachers. I felt my girls ages 8& 5 were not safe. The teacher was throwing around the kids and not paying attention when they were on the beam. They didnt stretch which is very important. Putting your kids in sports like gymnastics they have to learn the right way to do things or it can be very dangerous. I do not recommend this place at this time.

Our kids werent encouraged by enthusiastic instructors who well understood children. I think the kids had some fun but after a while of repeating the same simple routines, they became bored and were reprimanded for having an appropriate attention span of a child…. well try somewhere else.

This place is a joke. They sure try, but after going to a real gym, I now realize how ridiculous this place is. They let the young children run circles around the instructors. The instructors bark orders, while seated and I cant tell you how often my 3 year old looked completely lost and had no idea what she was supposed to do. They are afraid to discipline the children and tell them to straighten up or pay attention during class. They have Help Wanted signs posted with no experience needed written all over it. When I say a joke, that is truly the only way I can describe this place. One star because the class got us out of the house for an hour.Oh, and it smells disgusting.

We love this gym. We came from a much smaller gym with a lot less equipment available. My son loves the classes. We are just in the rec classes but he really enjoys it. Couple of downsides, there aren’t as many boys classes available (but I get it: supply vs deman). The only big complaint I have is that the kids don’t seem to progress very quickly thru the rec levels to advance. They used to have a level 1 and 2 then you advanced. Then they added a level 3. Ok I’m good with that. But as soon as we were about to advance, they re-did all the progression charts and bumped us back to a 2. We’ve progressed halfway thru the 3rd level chart, but after almost 5 years I would have liked to see him move to the white level class to advance. He enjoys it, so that’s all that matters. I just want him to learn some new skills. The boys don’t seem to have the priority the girls do, especially if they aren’t on Team.

An unkind place. Took my daughter there who had been training at a different gym prior to our move to the area. She had been out of practice for the entire summer and was asked to practice during the entire 3hr class which we had not know prior to arriving (she hadnt eaten breakfast and had not received much sleep the night before since we had gone to the drive in movies). During the program developers/head coach critique (with my daughter in the room) she said, and i quote, she is by far not the best kid in the class. Who says that to a little girl? She brought my daughter to tears. In gymnastics, you dont compare children to each other, you evaluate them based on their own skill. When the judges score routines, you get your own personalized score, NOT a subjective score staying whether youre better or worse than the girl before or after you.Completely unprofessional and not the environment anyone should subject their child to. I wish our old gym was closer. Their coaches and format have so much more structure and rigor. I so upset with myself that i subjected my daughter to Lone Star have been warned about it by a couple friends prior to.

Not impressed. This gym is beyond over crowded. They have way too many classes going on at the same time, good luck finding a place to sit down if you want to watch your child. They also dont do any kind of warm up session when the class begins. They just get right to it without any stretching or conditioning. Dont get to used to your teacher or instructor either because they are always changing and are never the same. They are mostly high school aged kids who could really care less and are more interested in talking and socializing with each other than teaching your child. There is not a whole lot of instruction or guidance just lots of the same type of drills each week. I would not recommend going here if you are really interested in starting your child in gymnastics. Drive a little further to another gym, believe me we did and it was worth every penny.

Personal, loving, and extremely competitive. I cannot praise Lonestar Gymnastics enough. My son has been in competitive gymnastics for the past couple of years and Lonestar has tapped into his potential and more. I fully recommend it for anyone looking for a place for their child or for competitive training. Lonestar has the facilities and the coaches to be the best and beat the best.I should add, because of Coach Brian, my son had competed with the best and participated in the best camps. Hes even seen Jonathan Horton, two Time Olympian and current Ninja warrior!

The place is OK. The new facilities are better (safer neighborhood, cleaner facilities), but the coaches are hit or miss- there are a lot of people that seem miserable and uninterested in teaching or furthering the kids skills and office staff can be rude. That said, some of the coaches are good and engaging, but they waste a lot of time doing things that really dont seem to encourage forward progress.
