This is very nice venue for events... havent played golf lately, currently closed. Cant wait to re open
After playing this past weekend, I regret to say I am really disappointed in the experience at this course. I will provide a list of pros and cons:Pros: Pace of play was nice and parking was plentiful as we were basically the only ones on the course... I later realized why. The tee boxes and fairways were in pretty good shape and The course layout is unique and challenging. In its heyday this would have been a neat club.Cons:Course/club conditions:Despite the lush conditions abounding the majority of the grounds, the greens and bunkers were in dreadful shape. It is as if ownership just gave up completely on trying to save, salvage, or rebuild any greens. To add insult to injury, We were told before teeing off that 3-4 greens are still struggling but the rest were good. In actuality, there was one green on the entire course that was not a complete embarrassment to the club. The driving range had one ball caddie available with some very weathered and often damaged yellow range balls. Not a big deal, but definitely not your typical country club feel. The rest of the clubhouse was dark and dated and felt the same sense of a lack of care.Service/food and beverage:At the turn, I asked if any food was ready to go, so that we could quickly get back to our round. I was greeted with a blank stare and confusion. I ordered two hot dogs and a bottle of water. After 10 minutes of waiting, I was presented with 1 plain hot dog with a bun that had been split in half and a ramekin of ketchup, no other condiments. Frustrated with the delay I left the club without the rest of my order and went to the tenth tee box where the waitress had chased me down in a cart to present me with the second hot dog - again, plain with a split bun and this Time no ketchup much less other condiments. I was at first impressed by the dedication of the waitress to ensure I received my order, but then once again was disappointed when I bit into the hot dog and realized it was still cold. I never received the water.Beers were something like $40 per 6 pack, which was a bit high, but a worthwhile expense to get through the round of golf.I am glad I had the opportunity to play here while I could, as I get the impression that this will probably be it’s last year open for business.
Golf course should not even be open under the current conditions. Greens were all dead. Front 1-9 temporary greens, back nine, original greens but in HORRIBLE condition. Waste of time and $$
Attended for an anniversary dinner, could be updated but served its purpose.
Not playable. Best fairway and tee boxes was the driving range and it was closed. Temporary greens and we had to put up the flags. Dont waste time or money
I live next to it, its an eyesore to say the least. we thought it was closed down by how sad it looks just from the outside.
Good track to have fun and practice your game. Has a lot of dog legs which present a decent challenge for most golfers. At just over 6400 yards from the blue tees, its a short track which allows long hitters to get creative on some tee shots. Its winter here now so grass is dormant but still in good shape for a Texas public course. Greens read pretty good and roll true. Ill be back to check it out in the spring.
Not bad for the price. They are under repairs and have temporary greens for the time. Stuff happens. Once their greens are back up this would be a fantastic course.
Owners of golf course have not maintained it. Greens are dead and water system has not worked for two seasons. My understanding is swimming pool cannot be used, restuarant has basically been closed down and tennis courts have not been maintained. Staff has either quit or been terminated. Would not recommend joining this club.
Best food I had a long time, great chef
Crying a tear for one of the best tracks in DFW. Greens are dead with 99% dry dirt with clumps of dead grass and weeds. Greens were punched, but appears not waters in weeks. Not a single green has a foot of playable grass. Paid to play, but cannot say we played as course is not playable. Hit shots from tee boxes and chipped. Fairways have grass, but not for long. Rough is full of weeds. Didn’t appear they are watering anywhere on the course. Appears they have given up. Sad day. People we kind, but appeared embarrassed.
Course is in pretty rough shape. Greens are worse. The good news is that the course was vacant, so pace of play was very good. Not bad for $30.
From the course to the inside of the clubhouse... Its tired and crying for a makeover.. Still a convenient location but in the Hood! If FTW would knock down the rest of the ghetto apartments surrounding the course... It could once again be a great area with a top of the line country club. I hear on Fridays they have a Master Blaster Special...18 holes a Rock & a BJ for $39!
The course is improving. The greens are starting to fill in (minus a few that they are still fixing patches on), but its looking better. Good job grounds crew. They also need to electronically keep carts 50 yards from the greens. I see too many carts parked next to the greens or running straight up fairways. This course was previously in bad shape and now that its improving they need to protect their progress.
I used to be a former worker of this club back in 2002. I helped with the golf cart maintenance. The people here were really nice. On the days the club was closed I remember cleaning up the club and members were our volunteering to help us. Its a great, fun, and challenging course. The club was going downhill in 2004. Its great to see people still enjoying this place and it is fighting to making a comeback. If you are looking for a Colonial, shady oaks, those types of clubs atmosphere, ts not here. I was a member at Shady Oaks up to 1993. My grandfather had the membership and our family was out there every week. If you are looking for a great group of people at an affordable rate, this it. I loved working out there, and the atmosphere of the club was great!!!
Had a great time & good food & it’s open to public to dine️
Event room decorated nice. Cake was left uncovered and potentially became hard.
We put money down to hold the date for our wedding anniversary in June for November. Now its September, no contract, gone through 2 chefs and 2 wedding coordinators. POOR MANAGEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They did a good job for our reunion
Great place to play golf and socialize. Great people friendly too that run the place they understand all your questions and concerns and needs.
We played here twice on an Ideal Golfer deal, and really enjoyed it. This is a really pretty older course, and it was in good condition both times we played it. There are lots of elevation changes and mature trees. On the front nine there are also a lot of cool houses visible (but never in play). Although its not a long course, there are plenty of shots that require good course strategy. The practice area was nice, and included a short game area, chipping area, nice driving range and good putting green. The clubhouse guy was super nice both times we played here, and went out of his way to make us feel welcome, and to make sure we knew where everything was. Cart girl was friendly and came by often. We all really enjoyed our rounds here!
Older course. Not too bad shape. A little TLC and it could be real good. Greens were true. Very challenging course, lots of doglegs and very tight . Staff was great. Played on ideal golfer member for a day. Play at least once.
I have lived in Fort Worth for 30 years, and I can not believe I did not know about this place. The course was in great shape. Nice fairways, and tee boxes and the greens played true. I really enjoyed the elevation changes on the course, and the membership fees are very reasonable. I liked how it was not crowed like a lot of the golf now courses get.
Where do I start the General manager called me out to service their pool and do some repairs. After I arrived at Woodhaven I ordered some food it was terrible!!!! I ordered a burger it wasn’t even cooked I threw it way I finished my repairs on the pool next day Louis scoma called me and asked me why the poolWasn’t coming along in one day nothing works on the pool not even the lights electrical wires everywhere.... I was called into his office for a conversation and him and his wife are partners and he VERBALLY IS ABUSIVE to his wife he yells and treats her really bad the whole golf course is falling apart it smells terrible this place should be shut down and the owner should be in jail for ABUSING his WIFE they have been together for 60 years please don’t give this guy any of your money he doesn’t deserve anything STAY STAY STAY AWAY!!!!!!
Went to wedding reception at the clubhouse. Interior is in serious need of an update. Air conditioning couldnt keep up with the ballroom space volume with a large group. Large windows fave a good view but let way too much heat through from outside.
We were attending a retirement dinner here. Service was excellent. Staff very friendly!
Ive been a member for 2 years and the staff and members have made my joining a most pleasant experience. The golf course will challenge your game and is in great shape. The course is well kept and managed by the staff and members. The food prepared by our chef is outstanding in preparation and taste. We are the best kept secret in Fort Worth!
Love the members and it is a great challenging course. Employees work their tail end off for difficult management. It is a fun course to play.
The golf course is in great condition! Country club is under new management and theyre making positive changes throughout. Great place for a family to join. Good food, swimming pool, golf, full service driving range, golf academy, great staff, all for about $200 per month. I think they even have summer memberships
For those of you who actually think Big Rich Texas is real, you are sadly mistaken. Its a FAKE show. Completely scripted. Woodhaven is just a place they shoot occasionally.Woodhaven is made up of a great middle class community. The golf is great and the club itself is okay. Ive been a member there for several years. If youre looking for a reasonably priced membership with great golf, this is a great place to look.
They were generous supporting our reunion. Lovely room, good food, pleasant service
Winter course conditions werent bad so Ill try it again in a few weeks... Greens will hopefully be better by then.
Happy Valentines day for wife and Friendly staff and well mainteined course and 3 hours round of golf.
Played the course on 5/22/16. They had just aerated the greens. Looked like they forgot the sand, lots of holes. We still had a good time. Fun course.
Great location, friendly staff, great place to go eat lunch or watch the game at the bar. Go 18 holes. fantastic Golf Course.
Highly understaffed and underpaid. Multiple reports from both staff members as well as club members that staff members are not being paid appropriately. I worked there for not even 4 days and had 5 people walk out on the same day leaving me with almost 60 an hour work shifts. It was one person running the cart, the bar and grill, as well as the turn Shack outside And the pool. Couldnt have done anything without Miss Cara. She literally had to help me with everything and retrain me from the ground up. The food is not fresh, behind the bar is very dirty. Forcing the staff to have to make due with what they have.
U don’t Have to be a member to go to the country club and eat dinner or go to the wine tastings, just an FYI!
I went here for the first time a couple days ago... please don’t waste your time. The golf course is not that challenging and there was a good portion where the grass wasn’t green. The facility looks nice on the outside but that’s it. Inside the cellings have water spots and some parts are actually caving in. The staff is not very helpful and the food, I can’t believe I wasted my money on on this. The food was disgusting and normally I will eat anything but this so called “fresh burger” tasted like i was eating a piece of tire and when I asked for some ranch so I could at least choke down my bland fries I received what looked like the consistency of white clumpy water instead. And on top of all that they were out of coors light. Overall terrible experience.
We have been members of Woodhaven Country Club since 2000. We absolutely love the course and the members have become like family. The new ownership is making everything even better, particularly the food/catering.I encourage you to check us out!Ray and Nancy Lichtenwalter
Wonderful manager Donald is very hard working and friendly. The company is rude racists and thieves.
Good place to play golf
I am very disappointed. I bought a Member for a day coupon from Ideal Golfer to try out this course. From the start you could tell that it was a struggling club in need of maintenance and repair everywhere. The staff were rude and unprofessional. The treat you like you were bothering them and their members by being there. The members were upset that we were there as well and loudly comment to each other with negative comments about us being there. The fact that they issued member of the day passes is to get more members and they failed big time. The course is awful and I dont see why anyone is a member in the first place. The only one start they get is for the Patty Melt they had which was very good. Stay away from this track.
Really nice course and recently under new (although they are former owners) ownership. Shiny new upgrades are expected in the coming year so get in while its still affordable!
Every quarter my group has a luncheon here. It is a very pretty place, inside and out, the staff is very friendly and helpfulThe food is excellent
My daughter played in a NTPGAJR tournament today.Great host facility. Thank you Woodhaven.
As a former upper Management employee, I can say that No Big Rich Tx was not an accurate depiction of what Woodhaven is and offers as a club. Woodhaven Country club is a very laid back quiet club. The membership is ethnically and age diverse. The staff At Woodhaven are prompt and very friendly. Its an all around pleasant atmosphere for the family. Being a 120 Acre facility one could miss the hundreds of thousands of Dollars that have been put into renovations on the Property since 2011. With the new Ownership recently taking over I see nothing but a bright future for this club.
From what I was able to see it seems nice!
Great Country Club/semi private golf club. Lots of fun!!!
Great golf course that can test your skills!
WORST PLACE EVER TO BE AN EMPLOYEE. LOUIS SCOMA IS UNETHICAL WITH HIS EMPLOYEES. HE ACTUALLY STEALS MONEY FROM THEM AND CALLS IT TRAINING PAY. HE HAS UNSAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT FOR EMPLOYEES NOT TO MENTION HARASSMENT OF EMPLOYEES.
Love the friendly members and workers. Great swimming fun.
2only stopped by, looks nice.
This course is a hidden gem; it has 9 of the best golf holes in the meteoplex! Nice terrain changes.
Be sure to check out the new fitness center with NASM certified trainer Daniel Sullivan. Open house July, 18th 3PM-7PM - Get in shape and improve your golf game!
I was there for a wedding, beautiful place great staff
I go here for monthly meetings for one of my organizations. Excellent service and a well-run facility
Food was excellent, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the setting, especially late in the day, was beautiful.
Great place to rent for large parties.

Robbing associates blind and the owner is horribly racist
