Lawton is an amazing park. (Despite what people say you can ride scooters and BMX bikes here, the rules posted are outdated and a friendly advisory to its fellow skaters. If showing up with a bike or scooter be cautious around other skaters/riders.) The bowls are smooth and the ramps are crisp. The only downside to this park is the amount of people that herd themselves there with their friends only to sit around and get in the way. There’s almost always litter there and people abusing drugs and alcohol AT NIGHT which is a let down for people who go to just skate rather than to have drunk people get in their faces and the smell of pot in their noses. Recommend during the day, don’t recommend at night.

Their website does tell you the rules so my son was disappointed when we showed up with his scooter. Otherwise it looked like a skate park

Every park I’ve seen that allows bikes has the same set up and coping as this park. But, unfortunately no bikes are allowed. This needs to be addressed! The indoor park in town does allow bikes but has limited hours and space. This park was rode with bikes by the pros that designed it, but the public can’t participate?! PLEASE ALLOW BIKES!! The sign at the entrance is clear that the park is to be used *at your own risk*. So be smart, wear proper safety gear, and let the bikes in!

For all the people saying why dont they allow bikes or scooters or Rollerblades its because it is called a skate park not a bike park or scoot park so stop complaining cause the rules wont change just because you want them to.

Mostly transition with very few street obstacles. Inadequate run up. Not very much flat ground space for games of skate.

Large concrete skate park with lots of options. My son always loves to come here and practice. Very close to downtown...plus Rise skate shop is also near by to get any skateboarding supplies you may need.

I’ve been a regular at this park for around 4 or 5 months. The people here are very welcoming to new skaters. I recommend a trip to this park for any new skater that is interested in park skating.

I skate here all the time! Its a beautiful concrete skatepark, very well kept compared to skateparks in other cities. The environment varies based on who is there but generally the park has a positive atmosphere. Thank you to the City of Fort Wayne Parks and Rec Dept for keeping our park beautiful!!

I ♡♡♡♡ this park. Has to be my favorite skate trip park so far. I had the most fun here in the small flow bowl where airing out is so easy even a caveman can do it. Ill be back.

Yea it Really stinks coming down here from Mishawaka IN not just for this because of a birthday party and finding that scooters and bikes are not allowed. Great place for kids and better than the ones in our home town. I dont understand the turnstile at the entrance since there isnt a lock on it but I guess just so no bikes can get in. At Obrian park in SB, all wheeled equipment can be used and the kids know about who goes next. Just stupid.
