I went here almost every weekend while in middle school. I took my little sister recently and I was a little intimidated because I remember how kids were acting when I used to go 10 years ago. However there is now a sign that says anyone under 16 needs supervision which made it a completely different atmosphere. We had such a great time. It was her first time skating and she cannot wait to go back. The company was very friendly about her switching between skates and blades trying to find her style. Only complaint was I just wish the waiver wasnt online. Bring back paper options not everything has to be so internet oriented. Thank goodness its good for a year

My daughter wanted to have her 16th birthday party here. It was great. The party host Annabelle was a great party host. Attentive to our needs and engaging. My daughter had a blast.

They are amazing, its family run and they are so nice. The price is good. We always have a wonderful time. The pizza and fries are fantastic, I highly recomend you try them. We have always had a great time.

We went for a birthday party. It was fun. Unlimited skating. The only problem I had was they try to rush you with your party and if you rent skates for adults when you are there for the party, they make you pay an admission fee.

Great time! Staff was helpful and friendly. Plenty of hand sanitizer stations for that sense of COVID-19 awareness. A definite must for the mental health of our family to get back to some sense of normalcy. Perfect place for a fun birthday party!

Great place for kids/teens looks like fun!!

We love it here on Saturdays during the afternoon skate. The staff here are beyond amazing and super helpful. I have my own skates that broke while we were there and the DJ took them apart for me, figured out what was wrong, and told me how to fix them. The staff in general, literally all of them, are like that. They will give you 3 different pairs of skates if your kid just cant decide which size fits better and theyll do that without rolling their eyes or making you feel like a giant pain in the butt. We keep coming back because of them.

I hadnt been skating in years, but I wouldnt recommend this place unless you bring your own skates and stay off the area of the floor near where they sign skates out. They redid the floor near there and added bumps everywhere, so you will probably fall often there. Their reasoning was that kids were flying in off the skate floor and hitting people. Not that intelligent, how about add a wall in the way and make a 90 degree turn / make one way for leaving and one way for entering? Now you just get injuries differently.Other than that, I turned their skates upside down and rolled the wheels rapidly. They all wobble badly. That means youre going to have a bad skating experience.

Love this place! Very family friendly and great place for kids to learn and for roller derby people like myself. We come all the time and highly recommend. Very very very high standards of behavior and family friendly.

I like it, Ive been here alot with my dad, I like skating there, and staff is nice, and the games are fun.

My kids and I have been going here for almost 2 years now and each and every time we go it is amazing! Its so much fun and the music is amazing, they even play some oldies that I grew up listening to going to the rink on the weekends with my friends. I am so happy that Fort Skate is here because I can share this with my kids. The staff is always amazing to us, alot of them know us when we come in. The owners are so sweet to us each and every time we visit. Sunday family day is our favorite day! The renovations they have done over the past year are great,it just makes it that much better!! My 11 ur old had a blast skating and my 3 yr old had fun on the bounce equipment. The staff was very nice and the young lady working the play equipment area 1was very patient and friendly even when some of the other guests werent being very well behaved. She kept her composure through all of it. I was impressed!

My kids love it here! I was able to watch football and eat delicious wings and fries while my kids got tired out. Major upgrade from when I went as a kid.

Havent been here since I was a kid! We went today and the kids had never skated but had so much fun learning. We will be regulars now.

Worst place ever to take young children.I took my two toddlers who have never skared before but asked to try it. It cost me $35 for the three of us. Soon as we walked in my 3 year old started screaming she didnt want to do it anymore my 4 year old put on skares then immediately start screaming she didnt want to either. We were only there 5 minute I asked the guy if we could get a refund he said he wasnt authorized to do so but the owner will call me when he gets there still no call. I cant believe I paid $35 for 5 minutes of my kids screaming. Every other kids place I have ever been to always give you a refund if your kid changes there mind and wont do it. Never ever going there again!

Great place, but my only complaint is for my daughter. She said that their rental skates are absolutely horrible! I cannot vouch for this because I have my own skates. But, we did bring a friend once and she concurred. In fact, she stopped skating after a short period of time because they were so bad. Because of their horrible rental skates, I ended up buying my daughter skates for Christmas so hopefully they’ll work out better!

Went for a fun night and we only last 15 mins. Such a workout. Some people are rude and almost ran over me with my daughter even though we were really close to the wall. Still fun and might go again.

Went with the wife and kids and had a blast. Took me awhile to relearn how to skatebl but it was fun once we had it. A little steep on price but they have a lot to offer in terms of things for the little ones and adults!We will be back!10/27/18Had my daughters 10th Bday celebration at the skating rink. The party felt a little rushed since it was a Saturday but everyone was friendly and helpful and most importantly of all my daughter had a blast! Thank you!

A skating rink has been at this location for many years. My children came here, my grandchild and now my great grandchildren are learning to skate here! Stands are available for those who need support learning to skate. The music is great and the disco like lights make it exciting. Theres also a bounce house room. There are several packages for birthday celebrations and two birthday party rooms. There is a small cafe for snacks. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The price is very affordable for regular skating sessions. Our great grandchildren had so much fun and they want to go back!

Great place but the rental skates suck so bad!

Affordable place.. the rink could be bigger and the skates are absolutely terrible, so is the rink floor. If you come here I hope you have you’re own skates because with these rentals you not getting far.

Closest Local Skating for us in Destin and this place hits the spot. Rink is nice and big. Price is fair if you plan to skate for 3 or 4 hours. Food is good if you want to eat but options are limited. Rentable skates are about what youd expect, but in very good condition, just usual hard plastic and neon colors. Staff was all very nice. DJ playing all the good Skating rink hits from my hayday and some newer stuff that my 5 year old enjoyed. There are usually some speed skaters there so you definitely have to look out for your little ones if you go at night. Overall a great experience and everyone youd want from a skating rink. Arcade not included. Just a skeeball and a hoops game, if i remember correctly.

Price are good and the skates are also very good plus it is very fun

The Noon Year Eve Bash was alot of fun for the kids. The foam party was good but gosh, the mess! LOL. Great family fun.

We had our daughter b-day party there and I was very impressed with the service they provided. If i had ANY questions or concerns they were immediately answered or taken care of. I would definitely recommend them to host a b-day party. I went to one of my daughter friend b-day party at another place (will not mention name) and their service was non-existent. They just provided a room and maybe 5 minutes of help at the beginning and then nothing. Compared to Fort SK8 they were a 1. That just reassured to me how great a service fort SK8 provided. Needless to say we will be returning next year for her b-day. GREAT JOB Fort SK8!!!!

Went there for a grand kids birthday and the kids had fun. Clean and apparently safe. They try to make the kids birthday special.

We went in to purchase skates for my daughter. The whole staff was friendly and very helpful. The patient staff allowed her to try on many pairs of skates until she found the perfect fit for her. Anyone who wants to purchase skates instead of renting them, this is definitely the place to do that. ALSO, WE LOVE GOING THERE FOR THEIR SKATING RINK.

My daughter is a figure skater. We went on vacation in Destin and there are no ice rinks in the area so we decided to take her roller skating at Fort SK8 and she had a great time. The staff and kids around the rink were really friendly. We would definitely go again.

The employees were terrible. We came knowing they close at 4 and when we got there we were told “we close in a few minutes” and we had to inform the employees it was only 3:05pm. Then that employee stated she would get someone so we could pay and that employee she seemed to be inconvenienced and had no interest in taking our money so the kids could skate. They also charge extra to use the item that someone holds to help them skate. If it was not for the kids and the promise we made, we would have left. I do not understand how a business does not business.

Best place for all ages! Music was great! Facility was updated and clean! Had lots of yummy food options in their cafe. We’ll definitely be back!

WASTE OF MY MONEY ! Skates are hard and tough on your feet plus in bad condition. The place is dirty and not a place for families to meIf I could give no stars I would. For kids to skate I understand there price for skating but then to pay for shoes too and a rolling helper its an extra 5 bucks. Everthing has a price and to me not worth it. This was our first time as visitors and the staff was even rude to my daughters for a family of 8 this was not the place to come. If your kids know how to skate it may be worth it for you but my daughter skated all of 10 min and ended up wanting to jump but thats extra as well. Not for my family! Expensive for no good experience is Bogus!

It’s a nice and awesome place to make friends. It’s a great place to create fun memories with your family or friends! Their staff is excellent and i highly recommend this to anyone!!! The girl with the blonde hair that works in the jump zone is a great employee and works great with the customers.

Our Spring break trip is starting off GREAT. With Happy Days Child Care .This place is awesome Family owned and friendly staff .. we will be back.

Although the music choices were really good, this rink is not safe for families and children. A lot of the employees didn’t seem to care about their job or have any kind of uniform to let us know who worked their and who didn’t, their were some kids that looked to young to work but were going behind the skate counter and cafe and they didn’t look like they worked there. Two workers were skating for fun instead helping others and my Brother and I stood at the gift shop for at least 20 mins before anyone noticed us. And they didn’t ask my brother what his size was before handing him a pair of skates or check his skates before handing them to him. I worked at a rink for a while and I just have to say that this rink is not safe at all and the employees are not interested in their customers at all. Not recommending this rink to anyone.

The owner and staff are absolutely phenomenal. This is wonderful good clean family fun. I can tell you now you might as well forget Surge because they have nothing on the SK8. Hoverboard day was the best idea I have seen anyone do yet. Thank you for having a wonderful clean environment for kids to enjoy themselves.

Not your typical skating rink! Took my kids last weekend and they had sooo much fun! So worth the price!! By far the most affordable Family Fun in town! The new remodel looks great and the staff is so great with the kids! Definitely will be making it a regular outing for our family!

Great place for skating and when you want take a break there are games also.

Clean facility with lots to offer. Only downside is no water fountain which is troubling when you have a large group of kids for a field trip. But the staff were super great and helpful to the kids and my staff.

This place was Great we come in out of Town and no sooner we got in the door and had our skates on we had a emergency and had to leave. The staff was Great to us. Great Family place at a good price.

Kids had fun, that was the important thing. I havent been skating in years so the price surprised me a bit. You can tell places like this are a dieing breed and I hope they can stay around. Get your kids out of the house and support some local small businesses especially ones like this that encourage getting you and your kids active.

Brought the kids there while visiting family nearby. Kids had a blast, they have small walker type things for rent so the little ones just starting wont fall over all the time. Place hasnt changed much from when I was a kid. Smells the same which brings back some memories of allnighters. The way back room is closed off where the little kids would skate. Prices where more than I expected but just to watch your kids its free.

Still looks 95% the same as it did in 1985 when I lived there. Super clean and kept up with. Management is incredibly nice. Highly recommend.

We had our sons birthday here two weekends ago and i cant say enough good things about it! The party host did amazing. The most stress free party weve thrown. Will recommend to all my friends!

My kids had to get off of the skating floor about 4 times in one hour for the birthday parties that were there. I totally understand wanting to give special attention to the birthday boy or girl, however, I dont care for the fact that those of us trying to get some skate time in get asked to get off the floor completely.

Tuesday is cheap skate night. $3 per person cheap. They seem to have closed the smaller practice rink, but the full size one is clean and maintained. The rental skates are a little crappy, but thats to be expected. Definitely a good place to take the family as they even have the little rolling support bars for the younger kids.

It wasnt nearly as crowded as I thought it would be based on the number of cars in the lot. There is plenty of seating available for adults or taking a break. The state rental table took a while sometimes, but the skates themselves were in good condition.
