8 months later and i get the same server. Sweet gal who loves her job and does it great. She even remembered me.Service and food top of the line. Best placeOn the beach to stay and eat.Edit. So today was my last day staying here. Just wanted to add to the review how great the entire staff was all weekend. They went way above and beyond what I could have ever expected. The kitchen staff was absolutely amazing. And I cannot say enough about the entire staff. Thank you Michelle her smiling face and all that you did for me. I hope to see everybody soon again. Keep up the great work guys.
Food was not good at all the fish was over cooked beer was hot and there price are crazy never again. And the old lady waitress keep Taking her mask off to talk. Why have it.
Great service friendly atmosphere great views food was delicious and hot also realize youre at a beach resort and prices are going to be more than usual expected youre not in
My favorite hotel Ive stayed at in Florida. - We visit from Michigan all the time, and this hotel room had a classic up north cabin feel! Which I love! The room was so cozy, I wanted to just chill in the room for hours! You can see the ocean right from the window, and the beach is right there. ALSO- there two manatees who live in the little cove. Ive been looking for years, and finally found them here. I recommend this hotel highly.
Food in the restaurant was good, I got the fish tacos. The atmosphere is nice, close to beach, and live music in the evenings. Pretty area. The room was okay, carpet needs replaced and there was vomit on my shower curtain from previous guest but front desk lady was nice enough to change it for me. Good amenities in the room.
I liked staying here due to the fact that they allow large dogs. Definitely a party hotel right next to jetty park with live music & lots of eating options nearby. Remember to bring your beach towels and chairs, I observed limited fuctional chairs on the beach. Id say the word resort is a stretch. The room was clean and bed comfortable.
I reserved a king bed room on the ground floor or a room with elevator access. We got a small room with a full size bed. Very uncomfortable. The A/C didnt work properly and we didnt get any good sleep. We were informed that they had a bar and restaurant which they did but it was cash only. Luckily I had some cash when I received my bill. We were moved to the 2nd floor in a decent for the next night but my wife had to struggle to get up the stairs. When we arrived home the next day I checked my bank account and this Hotel charged my card for $209 when my stay was prepaid. We were not happy with this place. It looks nothing like the pictured displayed on the Web.
Check in mgr. was very nice! We were excited about our ocean view room,w/ a king bed. They did an ok job at trying update the room, however cleanliness doesnt cost anything! The floors were SO dirty that when we got in the shower next day the water was running brown down the drain. The bed sheets didnt appear to be clean( so we slept on top), the spare pillow on shelf had a dirty case on it. A little bleach and a scrub brush would clean up the floors and corners nicely. The safe didnt work, the drain plug in the bathroom was missing. The pictures on travelocity are NOTHING like the real thing. The resort is showing like a sprawling oasis, when in actuality most of the greenery in pictures are a public park next door. The food was actually pretty decent tho, and the staff was great! I would boot return to this resort again, sorry.
The rooms are located above a bar. We arrived late afternoon and found a group of very drunk people shouting and hang about on the stairways to the hotel and in the carpark. Their behavior was concerning. When entering the room we found the security chain to be broken and on the floor by the door. The room although clean has a very strong smell. The biggest disappointment was to discover that the name of the hotel used on Hotels.com is not the actual name of the hotel - The hotel was listed as Beach Inn.. The hotel is actually called Rhumcay - The reviews for the hotel seen on Trip Advisor are completely different to those found on Hotels.com. I believe we were completely miss led regarding this hotel. We decided to leave and not stay, we anticipated that the hotel would be very noisy due to the bar and its drunken customers, and we were also concerned about the safety of the car park and our car. We found another hotel near by. We wont use Hotels.com again - Very disappointed
A great place to go for a beach vacation. The area has a lot to offer with out being overly crowed. There are several good restaurants with in walking distance of the hotel. The sun rise over the water is also beautiful to watch from the balcony of the hotel room while waking up with a cup of coffee. You can eat great food while listening to live bands playing on the beach with out driving anywhere. I have been back twice already and cant wait to go again.
For a cheap place on the beach, not too bad. But the check-in was sketchy as the front office person ended the day much earlier than specified on the website, hotel, and door in room (all indicate different closing times for the office). There was no wifi and the TV did not work. It didnt feel super clean so we slept on top of the sheets. The building smelt of smoke.
Perfect location if you want to be on the sand and in the middle of the party! Our room was #3 ground floor directly next door to the bar. Super convenient if you like to party hard and drink all night without having to travel far or climb stairs. There was a live band playing and it was plenty loud enough in our room but it pretty well wrapped up around 10:00 or so which is early for. Saturday night so no complaints at all there. Our a/c unit was super loud which drowned out any outside noise and I thought would be an issue come time to sleep but because it was so loud I didn’t hear anything at all outside our room so we actually slept very well! The property has a bar and it is barely a few steps to the beach and there’s a bonfire pit between the bar and beach so that is cool. The bar and bar food are good and service was great. The people who work there are definitely friendly. The things that were lacking are cleanliness. Thankfully our room was all tile everywhere but the floor was dirty and the room just looked and felt old as if it needed some TLC. The property was the same: old and in need of some TLC in addition to basic cleanup. When we arrived there were beer cans and bottles just lying about randomly and when we checked out the next day there was plenty more of the same all over. I just can’t help but feel they must be short staffed because nobody would leave such a mess in what is actually a nice location. I will stay again but wish it was cleaner
My wife and children went for a weekend getaway before returning back to school / work. They were disappointed with cleanliness and condition of this property. The rooms were dingy and even one of the plastic cups in the room (in a plastic bag) had hair in it. The only upside was the view and location. I was informed that they would never want to return to this hotel.
Disappointing considering location and rate. Could be top notch! My understanding from locals is that Gordon Ramsay did a makeover show and it gained some momentum, but was short lived. Had to go to the bar for check in. Cup of cigarette butts was left on the deck for me. Vero Beach is a great alternative.
Great views!! Friendly bartenders! Burger not so much, drinks over priced. Its now called Fort Pierce Beach Resort. They have a gem! Just need better burgers! Not frozen!
It was a one-day staycation while enjoying the beach. There are restaurants within walking distance including the one on the premises. The band played until about 11pm on Saturday night. Waking up in the morning was peaceful especially listening to the ocean waves.
Lily is the best!!!! Been there twice. First time was great, second they were changing owners and things were tore up a bit. Definitely going back!! Great location and great people.
View was amazing. We stayed in the Captains Quarters. At checkin we’re told this was their best room. If this is best I’d hate to see worst. Reported maintenance issues (Refrigerator didn’t close & tub doesn’t drain) immediately after checkin which the next afternoon ended up fixing ourselves. Bag for ice no bucket. Had a sink & cabinets but no dishes. Provided a coffee maker but no cups. Walls are paper thin. Bed is uncomfortable it’s like a pullout couch frame with a wee bit thicker pullout mattress on it. TV loses connection frequently....called no response back. It must happen so often that after a search we found instructions for resetting it ourselves. On the third floor and no elevator the steps are all wooden and need some serious replacement..kind of pitch you forward and they are narrow in width and steps are narrow themselves.
TV remote Did not work, nothing but snow (in Florida!). Couldnt even use TV to drown out the lousy band outside, Only 2 small towels and 1 wash cloth for 2 people, Nothing but decaf coffee in room, and shower curtain rod appears ready to come down. Also, a small elevator would have been nice for the third floor. Will not be back.
There were no was clothes (apparently the hotel had been out for a week). The room was dirty, sand in the bed, so obviously the sheets weren’t changed. There was a crack between the sliding glass door and the wall allow sand nats from the beach to her so I left covered in bug bites and the front desk closes at 8 so there’s no one to address concerns and I had to go buy my own towels. Beware!! Pay $20 extra dollars and stay elsewhere
The location is amazing. Right on the beach by the inlet. The buildings are older and have seen more than their fair share of salty weather, but the room was spotlessly clean and freshly painted.
Booked this property via Travelocity. Only chose it because it was located directly on beach. Upon arriving, however, the beach was completely tore up with active construction. It was obviously closed off. Bright lights and large machines were on the shore. This was NOT disclosed upon booking, it only mentioned construction at a neighboring business, not the entire ocean. This hotel is par at best, not very nice (hair found in bathroom to give reader a baseline). I chose it, however, expecting that possibly, but also expecting a beach front that could be accessed as advertised. In addition, I was unable to sleep all night due to a beeping noise coming from one of the construction vehicles on the beach. Horrible experience. When trying to receive compensation for this, the hotel denied it with no apologies.
I really really wanted to love this place, unfortunately I did not. The front desk lady, Michelle was very very nice. We were only staying one night for our anniversary while visiting family in FL. Michelle gave us a discounted price early and late check in/out times. I was very excited when I made the reservation. We get there check in and everything is ok. There are no elevators which isnt a big deal for us, but a side note. So we get to our room it has a great veiw!! But it was kind of down hill from there. I am not a clean freak by no means but I do always check the bed. All but one pillow case had at least one stain on them, they looked washed but stained. The sheets were fine but no mattress protector I really didnt like that but I can deal didnt see any signs of bugs although the mattress its self could use being replaced but still pretty comfortable. The room was pretty nice other than the bed but there was a god awful smell! My husband said it was the seaweed on the beach so thats not the hotels fault but man it was bad. We had a private balcony so we checked it out this was the worst area the door was hard to open and close and the floor was really nastey like our feet stuck to it, we smoke so we spent alot of time here just wore shoes not a huge deal. We got lunch came back and the smell had died down. Just hung out watching the ocean it was nice! Then night came and the band started playing. Which was cool we stood on the balcony listing. Now Michelle did tell us that they would be done around 8pm I dont think they got started until around 7pm and they played much later than 8. It didnt bother us but there was some miscommunication somewhere. We ate at the restaurant at the hotel it was really really bad, tables were nastey sticky. We dont drink and you could tell the waitress/bartender was not to excited to wait on us. The food was way overpriced and overcooked. This is were most of my low rating comes from. If you stay DO NOT EAT HERE!! The next morning we wake up watch the sun rise still an amazing view!! Start getting ready to go get breakfast I noticed little bugs near the coffee maker ( husband said they were termites) then he finds a roach on top of the microwave (not the bug kind). We planned to get breakfast and come back but we decided just to check out. It wasnt horrible but the only real saving grace for this place is the location and Michelle. I definitely would not stay again and would never ever ever even think about eating here....
Service was iffy at best, got order wrong multiple times, waitress even charged for an item she didnt bring out that was ordered. Biggest issue found d hair in food, on top of all that it was a bit pricey. Wont b going back.
Hotel was nice, room overlooked the beach! Staff at the front desk was very nice and courteous. I was given two free drink coupons as well for the hotel bar thats outside! Would recommend and will return again!
Nice place, smooth atmosphere and good live music Friday and Saturday
Not sure whats happened to this restaurant but its gone down hill, hard! Dinner for 2 on Valentines night was nothing less than a disaster. Drinks served in plastic cups. 2 seperate appetizers forgotten. The waitress forgot to take our dinner order. Her saving grace was the mahi fingers that were fairly decent. The ceviche had absolutely no flavor. There was no citrus juices to cook the raw tuna, only mango(someone in the kitchen doesnt know what ceviche is).The conch soup (which was brown) was served in an old beer(Miller Lite) bottle and poured into martini glasses. She couldnt get the soup out because it was so thick but who serves conch soup in a bottle? NOT LYING! No spoons. Caesar salad instead of a garden salad. Dinner was WAY overcooked! Steak and lobster were like rubber. The steak was cut in the shape of a heart. A dirty steak knife. Very weird because literally everything was going wrong. Whoever designed the valentines dinner special tried way too hard and it showed. People just want good food and a fun or relaxing atmosphere. However the cover music was good except the speakers were so loud noone could hear anyone else. The final straw was the high or intoxicated manager who had nothing to say except blame the waitress for everything and complain about the food too. We walked away. Never again Rhumcay. NEVER!
Its a small quaint place right on the beach. Great views from balcony.
Great atmosphere. Live music was great, Brad Brock was playing. We only had drinks and appetizers (ahi lettuce wraps, conch fritters and lobster bites) but everything was delicious. Service was great as well.
This hotel is a small hotel in a small town. It has great atmosphere with restaurant and bar on site on the beach. It is not in perfect shape and needs some fixing but 2 hurricanes have hit the area in the previous years. I stay here frequently and the only disappointment is that they have changed the front desk people not for the best (unfortunately) Michelle, the manager, is still there and that saves the day! There is a new girl who is also very nice. The other changes at the front desk... not good!
This business has closed, and has a new name, menu, staff, vibe...and super cool new owners. Check it out!
This is a worst and fraud resort. They have used our services and not responding to make any payments. we have been trying to reach them for almost a month now and there is no proper response. They have to pay us $740.00 total. Fraud people. Robert/ Sean/ Michelle/Crystal they are all fraud. guys do not ever try this place. i have heard from many of them. The stay is horrible and the food is really not hygienic.
Nice environment, friendly staff, & love my pina coladas from there.
This place is 1.5 star hotel at best we showed up checked in the room we booked you could not even lock the sliding door there was a use bar of soap in the shower still and there was a smell i could almost not take a breath in the room. good thing i was able to cancel my reservation thru expeida. this place really needs a remodeled for it to be safe to stay in.
Great location but really needs some exterior cleaning and upkeep.Room was clean but really small. Microwave was on the nightstand. Location cannot be beat. Beach was pristine and uncrowded. Resort seems to attract a lot of smokers who like to drop their cigarette butts all over the place. This was the main contribution to the trashy appearance of the property. A great Pink Floyd tribute band played one night and they were really good.
Place needs an overhaul. Bartender should not be working here. Long Island was made wrong. Didnt drink . Next morning looked in drinks and plenty of dirt in cups. Dirty ice. Bartender was hortible. Bad attitude.Disgusting. Front desk was awesome. The refrigerator was kept closed with a piece of duct tape Room was clean magnificent view for the money it was decent.
Good food cold beer good music
Ive been here many times this year at Sunday lunch. They are truly the most consistent and consciousness staff in this location on the jetty. They go the extra mile and food quality and prices are competitive.
In town visiting decided to stop by this place which has a nice ocean view. I ordered a alcohol beverage that was full of water with a teaspoon of alcohol in it, charge was $10 drink was not good. I decided to try thier food, jerk wings were burnt! shrimp had a frozen nasty taste, Cole slaw was sour! atmosphere near ocean is great but food and drinks not a place to go and enjoy dinning or alcoholic beverages . Everything was overly priced!
German cock roachs..vicious... Like fighting them off our chicken wings...other than that AWESOME but ya ...pest control waaaaaay needed...hint hint management
Great place to rewind and get those toes in the sand!
Great place what dream.rooms where a lil moist and the music played all night on sunday after hrs as no hits if beating in drums hrs of beating on. Had to leave for col hrs just to get away from beating drums. But was night ans clean to recovery after surgery. I will be back
Great location. Beautiful view. Friendly staff. Rooms need maintenance and better housekeeping. They need an elevator.
I booked my wedding here April 20, 2019. My guest showed up and the chairs were still being set, the podium was not there, it was brought up right before I walked and my wedding decorations I paid for were decorated in teal blue and my color was supposed to be PURPLE in honor of my Mother, I was fighting tears. We were not even given a place for my brother and I to park when we pulled up, my brother dropped me off and rushed to park because he was told the truck would be towed. To make things worse, Rhumcay booked a Drum circle group and a band over my wedding, and we could not hear our music until seconds before I walked down the isle and the drums started again the second we said I do. Now when I booked my wedding, there were no other events but us and a band that was to play at 7. Rhumcay decided days before our wedding to book additional events. This owner Robert Cvetkovski decided that instead of honoring my payments made in full and contract made that he would instead cancel our wedding less than 24 hours before. This is a business that obviously caters to tourists and has no problem making it clear that locals mean nothing. I have sent letters with no response and have contacted an attorney who has served them with notice with no response. All I have asked at this point is my money back for the services I did not receive. Rhumcay Beach Resort has for almost 5 months kept the monies I paid for food, reservation of reception area (an area filled with people for the drum circle and band) and even gratuities to the employees for the work they would have done during our reception, this company has kept $2044.00 from me for no services at all provided. This man knew that I was making payments and in no way could afford another $4000 given to them last minute, less than 22 hours before. I am still in shock that a business could do this to someone let alone a bride on her wedding day. I have at this point waited and given Rhumcay Beach resort multiple chances to refund monies due to me, with less than 22 hours before my wedding I had to come up with an additional large amount of money for food, drinks, silverware, location and decorations at the last minute. I know I have talked to a few who have offered to help organize a protest of this establishment and I did not want to go that route but at this point I am prepared to do this now to warn people to not do business with this establishment. They are thieves and will make reservations for you and agree to a contract then change last minute and keep your money. I know, I lived it. I have struggled with my own bills since I had to spend a lot more than anticipated. This is wrong. I hope if even just a few hours in the future to get friends and family to join me to protest Rhumcay Beach Resort and make this business known as the dishonest company that it is and warn others. I know this is long, my heart just still hurts and now I am just angry. Thank you.
I loved the location and views. The outside bars and entertainment are wonderful. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. We ended up going somewhere else. Parking was difficult and the lot small. It, the location is so good, we enjoyed it.
The room was very nice. Could use a upgrade on bath towels. Staff was friendly and accommodating. $20 resort fee is a little to much. They say it’s for WiFi- it’s in and out all the time, breakfast- it was OK and beach chairs. This is probably the #1 spot in Fort Pierce for location yet not sure if the owner realizes this. Overall the whole place needs upgrading, every inch. The restaurant gets so many bad reviews I couldn’t eat there. The included breakfast was just ok and we did try the conch fritters which we awful. Again this location should be top notch with great food.
This location was where a good friend of the family was supposed to get married on the beach (the favorite spot of her mom who passed away). The owner overbooked the venue on top of her wedding, which was booked before any of the other events were on his calendar. He then tried to change the cost, catering details, the decor was in the wrong color, and many other details. He did this at the very last moment, leaving her in a real bind. He has subsequently lied and done everything in his power to make it seem like he had no ill intent. He also claims he refunded her money (thousands of dollars), which he has definitely NOT. She is currently working with a lawyer to recover her funds and damages. This is a beautiful area with many choices. Please choose carefully so this doesnt happen to you.
Great location, rooms not very clean but your on the beach and the prices are cheap! Great places to eat and drink within short walking distance, highly recommend...
This place has a great vibe for young people, night out, close to beach..I went with family and there was an unexpected concert at night, crazy loud noises. No toilet paper in the room, no regular coffee available only decaf, it was just a bad experience overall.
Stopped in on a random Tuesday. Had an amazingly prepared 16oz NY strip served with sauteed pepper medley and coconut milk Jasmine rice. It was absolutely out standing! It also happened to be a Titos vodka special on Tuesday. Make sure you stop by and enjoy a meal if you are in the area
Awesome resort right on the ocean. Great staff and prices!
My advise is dont go to this place! My wife and I booked this place for two days for $420.00. We were excited to have a nice room with a sea view. Our experience was totally different. The sea view was a joke. You need to be extremely close to the window and you see the beach but at a very narrow view. So, we decided to stay for one night but in our room, the TV didnt work properly, there were too many instructions for it to work. Short after, we went to the beach, its not really a beach, it is more like a pier to fish. All in all, it was really unpleasant to stay in the room and also outside, so we decided to cancel. They did cancel our stay but they took $100 dollars. I prefer to sacrifice $100 than to stay in that place. That day, we spent the night in a 4 start hotel for less. Definitely, I dont recommend this place.
Buy no means is this a 5-star hotel ...BUTThe room was clean and the view was SPECTACULAR! I will be back to this hotel and pay for the room with the private balcony.
Two stars for the attentive host that seated us. Sadly we sat for 10 to 15 minutes never to be approached by a server before we got up and left. Got better service across the street at Square Grouper and they dont even have waitstaff...
This is a true old florida style hotel. It needs some updating. Not enough towels in room. it was clean and they were nice. Will go again
We arrived @ midnight after driving an hour out of our way to get here and the lady told us there was no room available even though they already charged us. And she just said call Expedia to get a refund.
Reserved lower floor (heart trouble) got room on top floor NO elevator on arrival. WiFi, TV door broke. No towels or soap. NO phone in room. Place is old and run down.
I was very nervous because of they reviews but my room was very nice and spacious I reserved the king bed with ocean front view room and it was super nice and comfortable and the bathroom was amazing
Went to the restaurant for a nice quiet dinner and conversation near the inlet. Service was great and friendly. Food was excellent with generous portions. I would give this restaurant 5 stars except for one thing. A three piece band started playing at 6:00 PM. They were TOO LOUD, the noise (cant call it music) was off the wall and totally inappropriate for dinner hour. Maybe great for the later party crowd. Ruined our evening.
The pictures online do not depict the property. It is run down and dirty. We checked in, went to our room, checked out.
Oh Rhumcay! How you make my staycations wonderful. The staff, the ambiance, the food all top notch! My server Ashanti was amazing! She knew the food as if she had tried every dish and could easily suggest great recommendations. The drink selection is great as well. Local beers on tap and full liquor bar. I always look forward to coming to Rhumcay. Such a fantastic time!
The only thing this place really has going for it,is the fact that it’s about 70 meters from the beach and you get beautiful views from some of the rooms. The remote for our tv didn’t work,so I had to get up to turn the tv on and off,our room was on the top floor of the building and we had to take the stairs all the way up,the restaurant downstairs is expensive and the food is absolute garbage—they can’t even make a salad right,we had to go to the Hurricane restaurant next door.On one particular night we were on the balcony of our room and the girl that works in the office was fighting with her boyfriend in the parking lot. The bar/restaurant always has guys and girls standing in the parking lot drinking and smoking and being loud. It’s a “anything goes” kinda hotel.
Weirdest place for a concert Ive ever been. Show is outside with people watching from their balconies. Rooms looked small and not updated. Bartenders were all scatterbrained. One section of the bar didnt take cash even though they were next to the credit card machine. Overall old out dated place with prime realistate.
Met up with friends had a great time. Love the location. Our new favorite spot!
The room we stayed in was small but appeared that the it was recently upgraded. It was a nicer than what youd expect from the outside appearance. Its just a few feet from the beach and beach chairs are provided by the hotel. You can also check-out a beach towle if you forget yours. The food at the bar is surprisingly good and the staff couldnt have been any friendlier. The only issue was trying to figure out the hot/cold in the shower. It would have been easier to learn Chinese sign language.
We worked with Angeline to book our room as well as several guests rooms for the week of our wedding. She was great to work with, accommodating, and literally like an angel to us. The hotel has awesome ocean views and is quaint, comfortable, and quirky old Florida. We hit a few bumps with guest keys and not knowing how to reach someone in the office after hours. Sean was our hero and went out of his way to rescue us in those situations. I cannot say enough about him and his team making my husband, myself, and my family all feel comfortable and even staying late just so we could keep enjoying the bar and restaurant. It was a great wedding week for us and I cannot thank Sean, Angeline, and their amazing team enough!
Could use a little maintenance, great location, staff was very helpful, would stay again.
Had an awesome lunch. Food was delicious, great drinks and great service. Perfect for a lazy beach day.
Once you get past the pile of trash/junk at the entrance and the dirty doors, etc. It really is a nice place; the room was clean & pleasant. Bear in mind there is Live music in the evening, which was also just right; meaning that it wasnt too loud nor weird. Theres plenty of nearby options for entertainment & dining.
Very good service, Very good people, would stay again and I’d recommend it to anyone.
Pictures are deceiving online. My room did not look remotely close to the condition and decor as the pictures posted on their website. In addition, there are no elevators, so we had to carry all suitcases up two outdoor flights of old/chipped wooden steps. Apparently there are two sides to this hotel separated by the small hotel parking lot, I was obviously placed in an unrenovated room on the small side on the top floor. This is not a 3 star resort worth paying $125 a night for. There were absolutely zero amenities other than seeing the ocean. Advertising kid-friendly is a joke, nothing but adults drinking and smoking cigarettes outside. There are no amenities whatsoever for kids. They also ended up having a late-night band play loud music outside until 11pm on my side of the building. It was so loud, the music was thumping in my room while trying to put my five year old to sleep. Music during the day is one thing but the hotel playing really loud live music until 11 p.m that pounds inside your hotel room with or without a child is unacceptable. On a positive note, the food was good at the restaurant and met kind locals around town.But... Buyer beware, this is a party hotel for adults, not a place I would recommend staying for a relaxing family vacation with children.
If it wasnt for the view I would of give it 1 star. My wife and I got to the room and looked around and seen two buckets under the A/C unit with a towel under it, the shower ceiling was coming down and no lights in the hallway going to the room, we had to use our flashlights on our phones to get to the room at night. The FOOD, DRINKS and ROOMS are way OVER PRICED for what they have to offer. The vibe of this place isnt right. NEVER AGAIN
Went for badfish concert last night bought drinks outside bartender put ice in cup an put a half an inch out whiskey in with ice rest soda charged me 9.50 started to rain so went an ordered food conch fritters came out burnt fried lobster was tiny pieces an tasted like fish ordered drinks at table an was charged 8.00 dollars was there when it was the inlet food was much better an better drinks wont be going back an will tell everyone I know
Would advise anyone not to go to this SUB standard dump. Service and food lousy. Took over an hour to get food. Waitress could not bring drinks. We finally got food ( it came at different times ( cold) . When I approached manager about this he shrugged shoulders and did not even try to make an attempt to make an effort to make up for the lousy food and service. Please do yourself and others a favor by not eating there!
This place formally known as the inlet restaurant totally went downhill. We were there last weekend. Dirty disgusting bathrooms, waitress was slow and rude, food was horrible. Needless to say we will never be going back again. Very upsetting.
Hands down. The best in the area. Actually one of the best hotel experiences Ive ever had. Weve been here since Saturday afternoon- today is Monday. Staff was friendly. Angelina from the from desk was a sweetheart. Mike from the front desk in the evening was exceptional. The rooms were newly renovated and had that amazing modern South Florida feeling. Bryan at the bar/restaurant was amazing and a total sweet heart. Drinks were killer. Im a Florida local (North Palm) had a friend come into town and we decided to check out Hutchinson Island. Glad we picked this place for our stay. Definitely will return.
Love this place! Great food & staff plus outstanding live music everytime Ive been there. Outside dining and step onto the beach or Jetty with free parking! Pet friendly too!
The room was cute. The AC worked amazing something thats very important in FL.
Has such a great experience the bartender McKenzie and Maris were really friendly and on top of their game. It was one of the best experiences I’ve had (I’m an active foodie) I would recommend them whole heartily 100%
Unfortunately we used to really like to go here but in the last year or two it’s gone way downhill it’s changed management twice in the past year and no one is doing anything to upkeep the property it’s just getting more dirty and run down each time we visit we will not be going back questionable behavior by the employees were all standing around smoking and drinking instead of taking care of customers I would like to see this change hands and hopefully make some changes but I don’t think it’s going to happen if I’m judging it by the management that’s currently in place telling me they’re going to make the changes
We had a great New Years Eve celebration here at Rhumcay!!
Very friendly staff, clean room, great view. We would definitely stay again!
Went for lunch and had their conch chowder... Wow! Deliish!!! Topped with great customer service from their staff... We had a great afternoon. Thank you, RhumCay
When you think of the Rhumcay, think 3 words, Location, Location, Location. The rest is Motel 6 in anytown USA or worse quality. Skip the limited breakfast offering ( no juice, no bacon, and if you want sausage youd better like it in gravy over biscuits), so visit local restaurants. Get your parking early as the lot is also used by locals it seems for beach access so if you leave there is no guarantee you will have a spot when you return, especially if band is playing at night. WiFi is sketchy at best. When we arrived a plumbing crew was replacing some heavy steel sprinkler piping that they said had fallen from the roof onto a car during a concert the week before.. Scary. Awesome location, that part cant be beat.
Me and my fiancé have been here twice both times We sat there for more then 30 minutes before even being acknowledged The fish isn’t fresh always mushy and there service is horrible I would not recommend anyone spend any time or money here it’ll just be a bad experience
To start off, the view from our room was fantastic. The climb up three flights of stairs was not. Was very disappointed about that. Not fun when you have a lot of things, especially a cooler. The room was nice but had absolutely no counter space in the bathroom. Didnt like the fact there were no peepholes in the door to see who was outside it. Loved the location, with the bar/restaurant right underneath (some people might not like the music they blast until one or two am). Was within walking distance of three other restaurants too. The only reason I wouldnt go back is because there are no elevators (no rooms on the ground floor).
Really treat location and friendly staff. Hotel itself can use some work. All towels appeared dirty & stained, some had hair in them. Im not a picky person but the towels honestly annoyed me. At least the sheets appeared to be clean. Location is definitely the best part.
Nice place to stay, clean room, right on beach, next to restaurants and bars.
I give one star because the ocean is the view. This place is a dump. Lets start with the bathroom that not only is there mold growing in the shower, the shower floor feels like it could fall thru at any time. If you choose to stay in this over priced place, bring lots of Clorox wipes and spray if you can. Oh, they charge you a $20 resort fee for a fire pit and chairs, which neither are usable in the rain. This place needs a definite over haul, and what they charge per night they should be able to do that. Not a high light for Fort Pierce.
Restaurant and bar are good love the live music as for the rooms they range between $150 and $250 a night and for that price you would think its not to much to ask for clean towels, wash clothes, toilet paper and new soaps not ones that used
Service was good, fun location, prices on drinks and food were rediculous. I got one drink and one appetizer and spent $30. Bathrooms need upgrading/redesign. $9 for drink $16 for appetizer in pictures.
