The fall colors are very beautiful in Mid October to 1st week of November. The spring and summer everything will be lush and green. One of the wonderful place to visit in Alabama. It u it s about 1 and half hour journey from Birmingham city.

Little River Canyon National Preserve is one of my favorite spots to visit and its in the backyard basically!

The Little River Canyon is an amazing place and easily accessible by almost anyone. Several lookout points reveal a beautiful canyon for miles. Multiple waterfalls after a good rain and a river that rages at times or slowly flows during the dry season. Gulf Shores is the only other attraction in Alabama as good as this one. Desoto falls is a short drive north for another great fall. The canyon is best in the fall and there is no admission chatge.

This spot, along with Wolf Creek Overlook, has the most majestic views of the park. You should definitely stop by this place when you visit Little River Canyon. Yeah, I know. Who would have thought Alabama looked this scenic?
