Old mobile home park thats trying to make a come back in an area thats not very desirable.
A pleasant Mobile Home Park that is pet friendly! And any mobile home park that is pet friendly is two thumbs up in my book!
Nice people, good value.
I lived here for a bit over a year. People are very nice and to themselves. It is in a bad part of town. Its quiet and dog friendly. No one bothers you there. Its a great and very reasonable place to park your RV.
Awesome park. Friendly management and cheap prices. Two lakes. Friendly Muscovy ducks like to hang around. Soft shell and slider turtles hang out in the lakes. The local wildlife is probably my favorite part.
Just not as nice as most
This place is great! Great location, amazing staff, and the price can’t be beat.
Just checked in Sunday December 13 midday. Rested Monday since traveling all day Saturday. Seem like everyone is super nice and my view from my Motorhome is spectacular. I will make my way around the Park on Tuesday and introduce myself to my neighbors. There is a flock of ducks in the pond behind me and they are doing a great job keeping the bug away. I have not had any problems (yet) with the no-see-um gnats. Cross my fingers that moving to a new PARK, corrected my no-see-um. Otherwise love this park
Campground needs some TLC. Some damage from Irma but mostly needs to be maintained. Sites are very tight, low branches hanging over roads and in site. Broken concrete pads and junk laying around. Broken lawn mover stayed in same spot our entire stay. All sites back up to water which was really nice. Place has a lot of potential.
I can not say enough about this park. The community is great! The owner and management really care about your stay. You would have no reason to complain. The showers are hot and clean. I am excited to go back. This will be the only place I stay when I am in Fort Myers.
We love having Sharon and Troy as managers and we love how there is a lot of potluck dinner with a lot of food and everyone is very nice. You will never meet a stranger while your stay at lazy Js . We are just so blessed to have Sharon and Troy for managers .We also love having Tedd its like a family reunion Everytime we are down there.
Very friendly, helpful but are in the poor part of town but are still recovering from Irma. Majority of the sites are older permanent or longer term units.
I am not going there again I found this to be an appalling place and I would never recommend it to an animal:(
The staff that is now in the office are wonderful and friendly. Im only posting 4 stars due to the roadway in the park. The roadway needs repairs asap too many potholes. The shower facilities are much better since theyve been fully refurbished. The Clubhouse on the other hand can seem to be exclusive and not friendly towards new comers. The Wifi only reaches about 500 ft in any direction. The Rent is the most affordable of any RV park in Lee County. The First great thing about Lazy J is its very peaceful and somewhat secluded from the everyday life beyond its fences. The ponds although reviewed badly by others are pleasant and theres plenty of birds and other wildlife to keep bird watchers entertained. Neighbors are friendly and the RV Community within the park are tight knit and always helpful. The 2nd best part about living here are the Sunsets overlooking the Big Lake especially on cooler afternoons. Theres also a beautiful Cow Pasture on the North East side of the park that is a glimpse of Old Fort Myers and Florida alike.
The park is very quiet and peaceful, with many trees and on a large lake. The surrounding neighborhood is not the best, but the park is safe. It is right off I75, so it is ideal for travellers.
Its not quite what is portrayed on website. There is no lake it is a retention pond. But is a good price. Cant use wifi very well not a good enough signal.
We stayed at Lazy J from Nov 2016 thru March 2017. I reserved our site over the phone, when we arrived we were told we would have to take a different site which was rocky and dirty fill sand with a large nest of carpenter ants. We had a major issue with those ants in our rv. People are friendly, just not many socialize. There is no lake, its just some kind of pond. The showers were clean, but in general its a bit run down. The road that runs along the park is busy and noisy especially on weekends. The neighborhood outside the park is not the greatest. We never had a problem with Jennifer as manager, however, new manager Bo is severely lacking in people skills, and was difficult to track down when we needed him for something. Wifi was okay, but to get a good signal we needed to go to clubhouse. It took 2 months and several phone calls to get our deposit back, but we finally did. This is a perfect example of you get what you pay for. I would stay there again in a pinch, but definitely not for an extended period of time.
Its a good place
Really, the only positive things to say about this place, is the lot rent is cheap, they have a little lake to go fishing in, you can meet some really good people there, and they are very pet friendly. The cons would be the terrible area with alot of shady people that surrounds the park (and no kind of gate or security), no one in the park can seem to connect to the WiFi, not many stores nearby (that speak English anyway..), theres always cops there for random reasons, theres not much to do there, and their vicious bulldog of a manager bo that bangs on your door to rudely and loudly talk (putting it nicely) to you however he wants for very small matters, if any. And Im not sure how they call it a 55 and up community, when they have people there from toddlers to 40ishs and everything in between. I for one have no problem with it, but some people might and it shouldnt be advertised as such. But on the other hand, they do have ducks that walk around lol.
Manager Jennifer Robertson violated ADA LAWS regarding SERVICE animals when on February 27th at a community function I attended with my service dog, she HUMILIATED ME, DEMANDED I REMOVE MY SERVICE DOG. We have resided at the Lazy J since 2014 and I have never had an issue until Jennifer Robertson became manager. Owner informed me immediately that Although he is aware of my rights if I file against her it would change our relationship. I.E. my TENANCY. Now attempts made by Jennifer to evict me...violating HUD Laws.Do not stay here. Not a good property.
Nice quiet neighborhood Nice neighbors. Pond is really nice.
Very run down, so Run to the next place - Walmarts parking lot is better
The new property manager named Bo is very racist & makes me feel very uncomfortable all the time!
Nice place
Peaceful Lake & Nice People here.
Not bad...
