This place is absolutely beautiful. I use to train here becase is hilly, There are places you can walk and there are some pretty challenging hiking trails as well.Must hike Giant Stairs Trail at Palisades Interstate Park - Steep / Fun / Great View of Hudson River!

It was great here yesterday, not too many people, although a very few were without masks, there was more than enough space to avoid those who do not care about others safety. My family and I, like the Alpine Lookout have been here many times. Great trails, fantastic views.

Planned on going two weeks prior but unfortunately the day I went was raining most of the day. Small trails and scenic overview were available. The hike to the Giant stairs was pretty cool even on a rainy day. But be aware, it is steep regardless of going to the Giant stairs or returning from it. Park is well maintained and easily marked so theres minimal chance of getting lost or going off the trail. Leave whatever you dont need in the car, there will be times youre using both hands to make it up or down the mountain.

I love ️ love ️ the Palisades Trails. I have done many of them beginning from exit 1 to The NY State Line Lookout and I love them all. Never ever a bored. It’s always a joy walking through the woods or by the shore or a steep incline. During the hot days make sure to bring your water and tissue paper just in case you need to pee. . It will happen. Here you forget time and troubles and everything that you carry during that day. I always walk or jog listening to favorite music . By the shore, headphones off. You’ll meet a few people in your walks. I have always felt safe. Always.

Gorgeous place for a picnic but make sure you bring a lot of food and a blanket because they don’t really sell anything there, you’re paying $10 for parking and there is a lot of goose droppings.

Quite an adventure going down the mountain along different types of trails. Some parts are dangerous and slippery when wet. The reward is a waterfall at the bottom and nice view of the Hudson River shoreline.

Love this park. Great trails along the Hudson. Even some pretty technical trails. Dog friendly and family friendly.

Picturesque. Nice. Quiet. Clean. Most park areas are currently closed but there are other areas to picnic or just relax, walk or bike.

This park is a gem by the Hudson River! It is huge and consists of different areas along the Hudson. There’s the boat basin area where you can launch boats, picnic areas scattered throughout, hiking trails that include riverside trails with view of New York City, snack stands and vending machines, a museum, ruins and so on.The park is partly visible from George Washington bridge but continues all along the Hudson River. I’m not sure where it ends but there are view points that offer some lovely vistas that is accessible by driving along the palisades parkway.You can also drive through the park via some entrances. One such entrance is off of the River road in Fort Lee New Jersey. There are many bikers as well.This park is very accessible by either foot, bike or car especially if you’re from New York or New Jersey.Depending on where you are it can be crowded or isolated.It is so close to civilization but a world away when you just want to get away without going far.
