My sister lives on Las olas and I always walk into the National Geographic Gallery when we go for lunch. this place has beautiful photography from all around the world. its definitely worth 5 minutes of your time to stroll through.

This place in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, was awesome. The photography is something to see. Its free and people are nice. The gallery is small and there are only 7 National Geographic galleries in the world according to the woman who worked there. So if you find yourself on Las Olas Blvd stop in and enjoy.

If you enjoy paintings or photographs then this is a no brainier. Best of all its FREE. Original photos taken by National Geographic Photographs. The pictures are also for sale with part of the proceeds going back to National Geographic to help save the animals. The prints for sale are professional printed on Fuji Paper. No ink jet prints here. Printed the old fashion way. The faces of the animals Pop out at you. The detail in the fur and face is astounding. Some landscape photos are beautiful as well. Staff very helpful explaining the photos. A must see is Las Olas.If your purchase a limited additional print it will be a long lasting investment.

A feast to the senses. The light effects on the pictures are unbelievable. If you go, ask to be taken to the rooms where you can experience the effects of the lights.

Very nice people and if you want to see some unbelievable photographs just stop in you might even take one home. Worth going in and seeing here is just one of many pictures they have

What a beautiful show case for the Amazing photography from National Geographic. It is fun to just go and look and the stunning images in such largest details. You can expect a range of photography from wildlife scenes, to beautiful landscapes on starry nights, to photos that capture unique cultures around the globe.The staff can also help facilitate a purchase in many different formats should you choose to take one of the amazing photographs home with you.

Apparently, this place has closed down. It seems like they just packed everything up & left town. Everyday, on my way to work, I pass it & I know for a fact just two days ago that it was still loaded with photographs & giant framed pictures with staff present inside. Now, it is totally closed down, locked up & there is nothing inside. No staff, nothing! Totally empty!!

These photos were AMAZING!! Atmosphere was relaxed and peaceful so you can move around at your own pace without interruption. Definitely worth stopping by and taking a peek.

Really awesome pictures of pure beautiful wild life

While visiting my daughter in Florida we happened to come upon this gallery. I enjoyed seeing the beautiful pictures. Wish I could afford to have a couple of them for my home. The staff were knowledgeable and courteous.

The gallery is phenomenal. I visit periodically and, being what it is, it always delivers. There is one experience I had that was a bit sour, though. There was an open house a few months ago and I went. At one point, I was standing, mesmerized by one of the images, in my own head and space entirely. A young woman walked by and said to me something along the lines of a sarcastic question about whether I think there was something wrong with said image. It was snide and unnecessary. I don’t know if she was an intern, a student there to assist with the open house, or what. She was not a random visitor. I, myself, am a photographer of 25 years, published nationally and internationally, have traveled the world over doing so, and have won awards for it, and do have aspirations for presenting a proposal or two to NatGeo. So, my recommendation would be to establish certain guidelines for the people who are chosen to represent the gallery in terms of their interactions with visitors. That is all.

My daughter who is wheelchair bound, went to visit this gallery. She had to use the restroom. She was told by the staff that the rest room is only for staff. My question is how could you not have a reason for your guests?This was so unacceptable. My child was very uncomfortable because of this.I would not recommend this place to anyone. They are rude and inconsiderate.

Great place to see chromigenic prints complete from National Geographic photographers out on the field. Most works include wildlife photography outside the United States; worth dropping in for a look.

This is one place on Las Olas that you can see amazing art, and bring your kids in to expose them to the arts. You dont feel intimidated going in. Something for everyone!

Visually arresting pieces that capture rare and beautiful moments in nature. Worth stopping in for some quiet contemplation. Ask to sit in one of the viewing rooms to experience one or two works as the lights are dimmed. It feels like you are watching the sun set and rise in a spectacular setting. The special development process of the photographs gives them a backlit look, almost as if they are glowing from within.

Stunning gallery, beautifully maintained. The pieces on display where pristine and emotionally rich, definantly worth a visit if your in the neighborhood
