Should be zero stars, I went in after covid had shut them down for 3 months, and immediately got turned away for having an unopen red bull tht they sold me. So we went outside finished that red bull and tried to get back in and they said no. Plus I had to through out 5 shooters, in conclusion never visit this theater or enjoy anything they do. If a business wants to last over a pandemic maybe they should notice how some people may have financial restrictions that cuase them not to be able to purchase a over priced cocktail from a pretentious bartender whos only life goal is to have power trip over someone who is wants to purchase and maybe brought in a few drinks. Staff was very passive aggressive and not friendly
Overall I think this is a good venue to see shows at. The place brings in some good groups/artists. The sound is usually good, and staff are chill yet attentive. The place has seen some wear and tear, but the lights are low so who cares. Youll be able to get up close to your favorite bands. Drinks are costlier than bars nearby, but only about 20% more. You can (almost always) go outside to smoke or cool off.A couple things of note. No coat check means that in the winter youre dumping your warm gear along a wall if youre dancing. Two: tickets are about $6.00 more than advertised no matter which way you buy them. Online, there is a convenience charge (yes, per ticket, so the number in the ticket box is a multiplier even though youre just using the service once) and now they dont sell at the venue in advance, so buying in person is now day-of, and those tickets are pricier; about 5-6 each. Just budget for it.
Great venue, good variety of musicians and acts that play here. Its all standing room only and can get super toasty, so plan to wear layers. The bar is small, so plan to stand in line for a bit for most shows. The stage is easily visible from the bar, though, so you wont miss much. Highly recommend catching a show here if youre in Northern Colorado!
I have to say for my very first time to the Aggie I expected much, much more. Especially considering a good friend of mine was performing. I arrived at the Aggie last Saturday for the NoCo hip hop event they were hosting. Before I even stepped food inside the venue I was given attitude from the women security guard at the front because I was waiting for a ticket from my friend. A simple “Ms. we can’t have you standing here” would have been suffice, but that wasn’t the case. Then, we were invited to the basement by said friend and were given a hard time about that because of the amount of people. Which, I understand, but they decided to let us in. If I would have known what it was going to cost us the rest of the night I wouldn’t have gone down. As the concert started I was standing near the stage just like everyone else when I was told I needed to step back against the wall. For what reason, I have no idea! I felt like a child being told to stand by the wall. Then, one of my friends started to dance to the music and happened to pass the line that separates general audience from “VIP” (if you want to call it that), and was pulled aside by a different security guard, told she couldn’t be going back and forth which she wasn’t and continued to be scolded by this security guard and watched all night long. She was able to come back to the area, but there we were the rest of the night standing against a wall like some kids in time out. What was supposed to be a fun night, ruined. So disappointed with the staff at the Aggie. The only person who even smiled and was friendly was the bartender on the south side. I’m not sure what kind of traffic you guys pull in, but I can guarantee you out of the crowd you had that night, we were not the problem. First and last time at the Aggie.
I was just at the Aggie for a metal core concert (August Burns Red/Fit For a King/Miss May I/Crystal Lakes) and was very happy with how the staff treated the fans. They gave bottles of water to the people blocked in at the front of the crowd, handed out ear plugs, watched out for the safety of the moshing crowd, and only charged a single dollar for bottles of water at the bar because they wanted people to stay hydrated. The staff alone has made this venue one of my favorites. The multi-level viewing is a major plus and the sound system was great. I absolutely recommend visiting this venue.
If youre looking for non main steam music, this is the place to be at in Fort Collins. The diversity is amazing and youll love the sound quality. This is a standing room only venue so be prepared to dance!
Always a great time. Fantastic small venue to get up close and personal with your favorite acts with plenty of room to dance.
I really loved the venue!! It was very colorful and very spacious!! Theyre really ran a fantastic show and I totally reccomend checking it out when you have the chance!!
Cozy little venue with a surprisingly good drink selection. The layout was simple and mostly unobtrusive and the lighting was low-key, but thats a good thing. Sound wasnt the greatest but not horrible. Perfect for the smaller acts I saw here when it wasnt full but Id hate to be here for a packed house.
Great atmosphere. Good drinks. Even better music. Cant wait to go back!!!
They have really good bands that come here. I always have had a great time
This is a standing venue. Important to know if you are not able to stand for two hours or more. Saw a couple of folks on crutches - no accommodations for handicapped. Asked woman manager if chair was available as I was recovering from surgery; she not only said no, but was incredibly rude about it. There is no notice of this on website or any promotional materials. Finally, recommend verify show times independent of ticket stated time. Purchased tickets months in advance directly from venue, tickets said 9:00 pm show time. Fortunately checked on line before going and time had changed to 7:30 pm. Tickets were sent by email address, so theater could have sent notice of time change, but chose not to do so. Poorly managed.
Great local venue. Always fun and a great selection of shows
One of the Original Theatrical buildings in Fort Collins. Live Bands, non-alcohol and alcoholic beverages. Excellent Staff. Best place to go downtown for a great evening without breaking the bank. Wheelchair accessible.
Great place to see a concert and perfect for jumping into the pit
Its a great small music venue with affordable drinks.
The staff there is super accommodating and it was definitely amusing to watch the security team expertly and professionally remove drunk people from the premises. It is a little packed during the show and I would of gave them a fourth star but the womens bathroom is atrocious and really needed an attendant to keep up with the mess. It looked like a warzone in there. Even if you ignored the vomit on the floor, the bathroom was in need of a deep cleaning.
Love this intimate little venue! My wife and I love when our favorite musicians play at the Aggie, it is the same distance to drive there as Denver with none of the city traffic. Also the sound system is great! You can hear good clean mixing coming out of it!!The staff is great as well, except for maybe pushing through the crowd a little excessively. Then parking yourself right in front of my wife who is easily a foot shorter than you. I understand the yellow shirts gotta keep an eye out on everything but could they please be courteous of the crowd if there is no emergency? I mean, the one dude (who was chewing and spitting into a cup, nasty. Also youre working) shoved through people just so he could stare at a bunch of dudes who werent doing anything. On the other hand there were staff that WERE very courteous. Maybe you guys need to retrain some of your workers to show some respect to the customers that are being responsible.
I had a wonderful time. Went out with the fellas and this was a great place to go to. The bartenders there were very friendly a good conversation and it draws in a really good crowd of people. I would definitely suggest this if youre going out try this place out youll have a good time. I will definitely be going back again.
Amazing band played tonight. THE SALMON FAMINE! Steller performance. Couldnt have asked for a better venue or a better group of musicians.
This place used to be pretty awful with muddy acoustics and sticky floor. But the new management has made some good improvements (at least my shoes dont stick to the floor anymore). Hopefully they keep it up!
This place brings in a lot of great music of kind at a reasonable price
Generous prices on drinks. Well staffed and friendly. Focused securityThe sound of the loudspeakers in place is also much more clear compared to the Summit, Odgen, or Gothic.Several different spots to enjoy the show from a standing area, to an even deeper pit, as well long benches lining the sides of the venue. Lots of room for bands to set up merch tables as well so lines dont get near as clustered and confusing at like sized venues. Overall very happy with my experiences at this venue
Always in first a good time at the Aggie. When out of towners come this is a place I make sure we go to. The layout is personal without being crowded and the bar is in the perfect location so no fighting to get to it. Never been disappointed by the facility or the staff.
Brother Ali show was amazing sound was great. Have been going to the Aggie since they showed movies and plays on stage.
I think you may know this spot quite well
Fun venue with great event staff and bartenders... Drinks arent as pricey as most music venues, so thats a plus. If they had coat check and cleaner bathrooms it would be 5 stars.
If you love supporting local bands.. This is the place for you
Absolutely love this place! The atmosphere is great and the vibe is unmatched no matter what kind of show it is!
Ive enjoyed a number of shows here, gets pretty cozy but worth it, unless someone spills a drink on you.
Coming up, much better now that Robin Jones doesn’t own it
Saw brothel here check him out. He did amazing! Light show was dope to venue is nice and open.
Great place for showsI just played there last night
Have enjoyed every show I have gone to here, which is more than I can count. Nice venue for the size, really enjoy that there are 3 different sections that you can go down/up in..makes for some fun looking up into the lasers or getting front row! There is no seating, but who needs to sit when you can dance! Thoroughly enjoy going to this venue.
Intimate venue.. Great bands
Small fun venue. Bar located inside is a bit pricey, but thats expected.Gets real hot with any sort of dancing music, and a large crowd.
Saw Chelsea Grin here, great metal show. Drinks are on the higher side as expected from a venue. But the staff is friendly and the stage sounds great.
Phenomenal venue with available alcohol + spirits to purchase before/during/after shows. The shows are always high energy with great musicians, and it draws a great sized crowd. It is pretty much only standing room with no chairs available. The biggest issue for me is that during shows some audience members will stash some weed and smoke it within the small space that is the performance hall. I’m not sure if that’s really legal or not, but it may make you uncomfortable if you’re not into that. Usually other audience members tend to get very drunk and will spill alcohol everywhere, which is why the front half of the standing room next to the stage is sticky and uneven (which it always is when I go), but that’s really unavoidable at a venue like that. Otherwise, the music is PHENOMENAL and it’s a great hang if you’re into a scene like that.
Id do six stars if I couldLighting was amazing, people were amazing, sound was amazingI will definitely be spending more time here, and its great with friends. Theres a lot of bands and musicians preforming all the time, some local, some not, and the variety is something to look forward to.
Great venue. Clean restrooms. Quick attentive bartenders.
Always a good time. You can tell the ownership is the same as the fox in boulder!
Close to the artists and constantly keeping fresh new artists
Great venue. Excellent sound.
Cool venue downtown fort collins !!!! I was able to meet an artist who came through a few years back! Nice theater !!! Cannot wait to see more artist I familiar with play here!
Awesome place to hear live music.
One of the coolest small venues around. They have a lot of great talent come through. Just saw Atmosphere there last week. Tickets are usually really cheap and if you are over 21 you can go in and out with a wrist band. There are some cool bars around there as well. The drinks inside are also reasonably priced. The bathrooms could use a little help though for sure!
Cute and clean. Theyve made improvements and it makes the experience more comfortable.
Music Central in Old Town Foco, essentially one of the musts to experience at some point if you are traveling through & want to go check out a show of which the genres of bands are a plethora. There is the two main wrap around bars on the upper floor that stretches around & a lower floor that decends towards the stage.Plenty of interesting characters are usually attracted to this joint. From what I understand, the Aggie is a historical landmark of sorts & the acquisition of acts ranges from underground punk bands to some more established popular artists.
I love coming to this place to hear live music. This place brings all types of live music in and I have seen some of the best Red Dirt country music singers come through this place. I have always had a great time with friends having some drinks and listening to the the live bands. Its an awesome cool place to check out if in the area.
Its a smaller concert hall so whos playing will obviously impact the experience. Very old, very used, could probably use a little update but they serve tall boy beer by the can and the staff is as friendly as you would expect from a team that deals with drunk idiots a lot. No food when weve gone. If its a band you like youll definitely get an intimate setting.
Id say the best venue for fort Collins
Very good music and the people that work there are very wonderful. There was a creeper trying to hit on me and the bouncer checked him for me.
311 show was amazing! Excellent venue for intimate shows, good staff, convenient location, & free parking lot behind the building.
Limited seating, but a very intimate and accommodating venue
The Aggie is Fort Collins largest music venue and therefore the place to go to see national acts when they come through. The speakers sound great, theres plenty of room for dancing, and a stage large enough for big groups. The bathrooms have never been nice and the floor is pretty sticky, but its the best big venue weve got! Seen some amazing shows here!
Most amazing show ever! We had the best spot to stand.
The Aggie has always been my favorite place to see live music.
Fun place with the right music of course. The security needs some attitude checks though, I saw them giving Snow Tha Product and her crew dirty looks and making comments. Sorry if shes not that boring type of music like blue grass or whatever slow rock people like. She cares about her fans and makes a great show. Too bad us Latinos are too loud and rowdy Ft Collins, but thats how it is, especially when Snow is on tour. Be grateful her shows sell out and contribute to your paychecks Aggie staff!
Great little venue for all types of music. Expect a mostly college crowd and all will be good.
Great venue!! Small, quaint, much cooler being so close to the band! Loved it
My band played at this place several times and we got paid well along with the sound being great! They have a great bar and it is a wonderful Club atmosphere for people in their mid-20s to mid-30s. A really cool place!
Nice mid-sized venue. If theyre smart, theyll try to get more Metal tours to come thru seeing as ABR sold out their show weeks in advance. Great first experience for me though.
Great music venue Fair beer prices
Best music venue in FoCo. Great spot to hang out and dance freely with good friends. Right on the strip so the surrounding area is also very fun. Lots of good music and fairly big acts come through here. Highly recommended for a good night out with friends. Text AGGIE to 91944 and get discounts sometimes
The security team is completely unprofessional. Im not sure if the show was oversold but they were throwing people out all night. I was needlessly ejected and treated horribly by the security. There is never a reason to man handle a woman when your twice her size. I was completely sober and never got to see the show I traveled from Denver to see. I will never come back.
Always a great hang! Solid artists too!
I had wonderful, mind blowing experience!
Seating was a little tight! A really old building but the comic show was great. I love how it has two bars! Makes a difference!!
This place is an absolute dive, and its great. No frills. Reasonable drink prices and great acoustics. Will gladly watch a show here any time.
Would do 5 stars if weed was more accepted there
Could be cleaner. Still a nice place to watch movies.
This theater was incredibly unprofessional. They accused my friend of being drunk and wouldn’t let her back in. The management then tried to apprise stating it was a new process. Please boycott this business. When we asked to see the video they denied the request and tried to back trac the accusation. Horrible establishment
Great venue for great music
Awesome venue and super intimate. Plus common kings are the best
Very nice venue and the staff is very very friendly
A lovely theatre. Small in size but big on heart.
It good it was enjoy and relax
Very small venue. Its got great sound. Just went for Kyle Kinane. Wasnt disappointed. Theres a bar right behind seating. Easy to get to only if youre sitting on edge seats.
One of my favorite venues ever! Keep up the good work!
Great venue. Pizza and beer never go wrong.
I like the Aggie. Cheap shows and decent artists. It gets a little hot, but you can step outside if necessary.
Great show with wife and bro. Common Kings Best show
Ive been coming here for a very long time, and have met quite a few people within the venues management team, and I can tell you these folks know what theyre doing. The staff is incredibly nice and the management runs everything very well.
This is a neat little venue located in beautiful and fun downtown Fort Collins. They have a variety of artists that come, so I would recommend checking the schedule in advance to get tickets. The people who work here are very passionate about music and good to chat with.
