This museum is a hidden gem we are so lucky to have in Fort Collins! There are numerous exhibits that my family of five all enjoyed during a visit in Sept 2020. Peter and Bridget had some terrific insights on artifacts. We each bought a mystery bag and everyone was delighted with the contents.
Globalocity is a word I made up for teaching home-school civics. It is a Dr Seuss like word that means the more global cultures you know, the smarter you are. So teach globalocity to your kids during art class (or any class) like the navajos did when they used code in WW2. No public school textbook needed, just words of wisdom from trusted ancestors
Wonderful place friendly staff and amazing exhibits.
Very interesting exhibits from around the world. Wonderful beer display.
Had a wonderful visit here with my son when he had a cultural project to do and they had an exhibit of Russian art!
Very interesting art but very small for the admission.
Brought my kids for a field trip and I highly recommend. Enriching experience and my family loved it. Also, we absolutely love the gal at the front desk. She was so incredibly sweet and informative!
A terrific gem of a museum. Fort Collins is lucky to have!
Great museum with many wonderful exhibits, and affordable too. I really enjoyed our visit here. I look forward to coming back again soon, maybe bringing some of my friends here next time as they’ve never been before. It’s definitely worth checking out!
We have wanted to visit here after the museum gave a wonderful presentation at the Senior Center. The visit was truly worth it. The exhibits were interesting and the staff and volunteers were most helpful. There are a lot of things to see there. Dont plan on seeing everything in one trip. There is a MAX bus stop right across the street.
Very badic. Went to see the hyped Panama Canal exhibit and it was just some pictures and copy that I could have gotten online! So disappointed!!
This a great little museum for geographers and travelers - a permanent exhibit has high quality craft miniatures showing traditional clothing and homes from the world - the mini Mongolian yurt was a favorite. Another exhibit touched on European immigrants to the United States and had some nice photography, artifacts, and clothing pieces on display to include a giant bearskin coat from Russia, old snow globes from France, and a Christmas Market display with some impressive gingerbread houses. A display of about twenty maps of varying projections and style composed the hallway cartography exhibit - the interesting digital wordmap of surnames in the U.S. is available for exploring in the European immigration exhibit area.
Fun little museum. A must see on First Friday Art Walks and is often free to get in on those nights! Loved the recent Egyptian exhibit - bought a beautiful Egyptian perfume bottle from the gift shop for my mothers birthday. The kids activity area is fun. For the Egyptian exhibit they had a machine that could print any name you want in hyrogliphics :). Its small, but I love museums and enjoy supporting this place - Id love to see it grow.
Charming space with rotating exhibits and themes. Great staff.
My kindergarten class enjoyed a fascinating adventure there. It is interactive and appeals to all ages. Our guides knew just what would appeal to our boys and girls. The children cant wait to serve as guides for their families.
Wonderful exhibits...too many to see in one visit. Its a great way to spend some quality time for very little money.
A nice small museum whose collection switches out periodically! The curators had a lot of knowledge and energy about the jobs. Highly Recommend
Nice small museum with rotating displays. Currently, its about eating utensils from around the world.
My sons school took a trip here and he was so excited about it, he came home and said we just have to go again.
Awonderful place, underexplored gem of fort collins
Small musuem with ecletic collections of exhibits. Represents a large chuck of former Peace Corp worker collections. Be sure to use the QR code reader to get the indepth stories. Also the BEST was the doll collections, great folk art. Allow a good hour plus to tour, then go have snacks or drinks downtown. 6$ for nonmembers, a great deal.IMHO.
Such a great place
Neat place but the guy at the front desk will harass you to join and give them more money
Very small, super claustrophobic...
Nice place. Needs more artifacts
Great little museum in old town!
Nice little collection, building smells bad so that you want to leave before you look at everything.
Interesting collection
Unique small gem.
