My husband and I came to magnetic on our honeymoon sprawling some of the national parks and Logan hooked us up with some awesome nature-based tattoos. Super friendly and talented. They were very accommodating in getting us same day appointments while we were in town. We loved the shops ambiance, as well. Couldnt recommend Magnetic & Logan enough!

Got my first tattoo here. Line work is pretty good but some of the lines weren’t completely straight. Was planning on getting a second one the same day, a tattoo I’ve wanted for years, it was a matching one to what my coach had so I had a pic of the tattoo. The artist said he wouldn’t do the tattoo because the one in the pic was ‘poorly done and he wouldn’t want his name attached to it’.

I had been wanted a certain tattoo for almost 7 years, so when I got it I wanted it to look good. It was only a quote, but Cambria did an absolutely fantastic job! Her line work was amazing and it turned out better than I had imagined it! If I ever get another tattoo I’m coming back to magnetic, and more specifically to Cambria!

If you live in Fort Collins then you know we have a billion tattoo shops in this town, and very few I trust. Magnetic is my favorite shop and I could say so may good thing about it. Katherine Smith is my go to. I first met this awesome gal at the last tattoo shop she worked at from a recommendation. She was so kind and polite that I became instantly comfortable with getting a tattoo from her that I kept going back. Sense then we have become good friend. We both are obsessed with horror movies and always talk about them when Im getting another tattoo. She does great work always pays attention to detail and how she uses color is insane Im always blown away. Love her so much!! Also my girlfriend got a tattoo from Shawn McDonald and she loves it he does incredible work too just look at his amazing paintings and youll know what Im talking about. He is one of the nicest dudes Ive ever met, he kills it!!All in all, Magnetic tattoo is full of incredible people that are talented, professional, and know what they are doing.

Magnetic Gallery has the most talented crew of artists in Northern Colorado. Ive had almost all of my work done there. Katherine Smith has created two beautiful pieces for my daughter. She has a style thats both powerful and delicate. I would call some of her style steam punk Gothic. She worked a stunning cover up piece taking my daughters overall idea and translated it into a thing of beauty.

She crafted a piece I will be able to brag about for the rest of my life. She was friendly and charming the whole time. Even gave me a glass of water when I needed it! Though all of the artists here are incredible, Katherine has consistently done beautiful work for me, and my friends. All tattoos healed quickly, and they are still bold and look new. I prefer her so much that I travel from out of state just for work - I couldn’t recommend her enough!

Ive been tattooed by Katherine at Magnetic numerous times, and there is a reason I keep coming back to her. My tattoos look beautiful and have held their color fantasically- she always seems to pick the right colors and composes the art to fit perfectly into the space I have. She has also done two memorial tattoos for me and was so kind and caring the whole time, asking me questions and not minding if I got a little emotional. I will definitely be seeing her again.

I cant recommend Magnetic enough. Its hands down one of the most professional shops Ive been to, its wholly catered to those who want quality, custom work. Their passion for their craft is obvious. I was tattooed by Katherine Smith and she made the entire process, from sketching to tattooing, easy and professional. Shes an absolute joy to work with. My tattoo has healed beautifully and Ive received more compliments on her work than on any other tattoo I have. All I can really say is that I cant wait to get tattooed by her again. Katherine Smith and Shawn McDonald do most of my work for years now. Everyone at the shop is super talented, extremely nice, always professional and reasonabley priced. Ive referred many of my friends and loved ones to the shop for work. I even won a trip to Texas all expenses paid for the Star wars tattoos I have from Shawn McDonald.

The folks at Magnetic are fantastic. Ive been working with Logan for years, even before he was at Magnetic. Since Ive had tattoos at Magnetic Ive grown to get to know other staff members as well. They have a very professional and friendly staff. Because of this, I wonder about the people giving one star reviews. Make sure and look at other reviews a particular person has posted to put things into perspective. :)

My artist was nice, but in terms of my tattoo the ink has already faded, regardless of me caring for it verbatim the instructions. The lines aren’t clean and large sections of it are not filled in entirely. The healing process has not been good either.

My experiences at Magnetic have always been great! Ive been there several times for tattoos and piercings since theyve opened up and all of the artists are extremely talented! The owner has created a fun yet professional environment. They even put on art shows once a month to support local artists. I highly recommend this shop!

My last six tattoos were done by Katherine and my next six plus will be done by her as well. Katherine is kind, professional, and truly talented. I have never ever had an experience less than desirable when getting tattooed by her. I recommend letting her work speak for itself- her instagram page will show you everything you need to know. One look at her healed photos and it is clear she really knows her craft. Her color schemes are out of this world and truly unique. Katherine is easy to talk to and listens to my every concern while also taking the time to explain her professional opinion- ensuring I go home with an amazing tattoo each and every time.

Ive been to Magnetic several times to get really wonderful tattoos from Katherine Smith. She is remarkably talented, professional and creative. All the tattooers and piercers are very good at what they do, and on top of that, are also all great people. I moved to Colorado in 2016 and with a big move came the daunting task to find a new tattoo artist. I’d been to some other shops and gotten some little tattoos but hadn’t found anyone I’d trust with a big project (a tiger head with swords on my stomach). My boyfriend and I walked around Ft. Collins one afternoon and went to about 8 shops in the area. We walked into Magnetic, looked at some portfolios and the second I opened up Katherine’s book, I knew I could trust her to do my stomach. We had the consult right then and there, had my appointment booked for two weeks out, had my deposit paid. She took measurements of my stomach, extensive notes on what I wanted (even going so far as to ask which way I wanted the swords, coloring, etc.). I came in for my first appointment and knew I’d found my new tattoo queen!! The tiger she drew for me was better than I imagined, pricing was as expected (and properly explained at the consult), and my next appointment was made with ease. Katherine is not only a wonderfully capable artist, she’s hilarious and I feel like she’s always concerned about how I’m doing throughout the entire tattoo, which is really nice because I feel like some artists just want to get through with the tattoo and onto the next one. I love her and her art so much and I seriously recommend her to everyone who asks about my tattoos. (Also, how freaking cute are her dresses?!)

The team at Magnetic is made up of some of the best artists in Colorado. Katherine has done all the major pieces I have, all of them have healed beautifully and maintained their resiliency over the years. I followed her from the previous shop she was at. On top of being remarkably creative and talented with a needle & ink, she’s also a wonderful human to sit next to for hours while gettin tattooed!

I have gone to Matt for all of my (many) piercings since he was at Black Atlas, and the only other person I would go to now, is Kerrin. Matt is the best piercer that I have ever been to, and Ive definitely learned my lesson about going to anybody else.
