With covid and the california fires, there seems like there is nothing to do but stay inside. This was a nice break from reality. We did two escape rooms in two days. We ambitiously started with malice manor and did not succeed, however it was fun and we loved the props and challenge. We were completely stumped. Scary and great story. Definitely a challenge and may not be the best choice for someone who is trying escape rooms for the first time. The next day we did Alien Zoo, which was easier. The puzzles were well thought out and we loved the story. Plus, we loved the interactions and acting from our gamemaster. And, Escape Out has a rewards program, which is awesome because you will definitely get hooked. We plan on completing all the rooms at this location.

We escaped Malice Manor tonight! We really enjoyed the ambiance. Our host was in true character which brought an authentic feel to the evening!

My group did the DaVinci workshop. This was an awesome room and an awesome experience. We had teenagers, mid 20s, and mid 30s all in the room and everyone had a great time! Would highly recommend.

Fun! we failed but still had a blast!

The alien zoo room was super immersive and fun for the whole family. The host was a great actor. My kids were absolutely thrilled to see aliens. I was cracking up at the theme of the room. My fiance thought the acting made the rooms so much more fun. Definitely will be back to try more rooms.

We (husband, daughter and I) had a great experience at EscapeOut. It was a well designed room that kept us busy and entertained for the entire duration. Highly recommend it and will be doing another escape room in the future.

We loved our experience at EscapeOut! We were looking for a way to celebrate a COVID birthday, and this was the perfect way to do it. 5 of us did the Laboratory room, and with a few hints along the way we were able to make it out just in time. Our host made it very fun as well.

I am 12, went to this place a couple of times. The puzzles there are very amusing. The rooms are decorated perfectly. The levels vary from easy to hard, depending on what you want to do. It is a lot of fun. I am definitely coming back for more with my friends.

I’ve been here quite a few times and I’ve never been disappointed by the challenges they bring forth. Not only are the rooms super intricate but the staff put on an amazing show unlike most other escape room companies I’ve seen. I highly recommend this place to anyone who likes to solve puzzles and mysteries! Definitely plan on coming back for future rooms!

The staff here are better than other escape rooms! The rooms are good too, not exceptional but still lots of fun. Recommended!

EscapeOut is fantastic, interactive, and fun! The rooms are challenging, but still accessible for newer players. My spouse and I have done wow a few and this one has been the only one to really get into character! They act out the roles of the room AND dress the part! The staff have all been extremely kind and patient. While being in the room, they are ready to answer any questions. There is no leaderboard and you could ask for as many clues as you want so great for beginners. But let me reiterate that the rooms are still very challenging. Another awesome feature is they have a loyalty card. Purchase 4 rooms and you get the 5th free! We’re definitely coming back for our 3rd room and we be completing all 5 they have to offer :)

5 of us did the laboratory room and we had a total blast. It was a good challenge! Our favorite part was honestly the costumed host, he was really fun and seemed like he enjoyed it!!

We were honored to be able to try out the brand new escape room themed to Master Da Vinci. Run, do not walk, to try this room when it opens to the public. This is by far the best room my family has ever tried. The puzzles are intriguing and challenging but not to the point of being frustrating. The host, Angelica, is one of the most amazing people I’ve had the privilege of meeting. Our family of 6 ranges from 13-67 and all of us had something to work on and contributed to escaping. Unlike some other rooms we’ve done the lighting worked for all ages, the theme was immersed throughout the room and there were some unique and amazing surprises throughout. Thank you so much for the opportunity and we can’t wait to be back!

I took a group of Young Adults from my church to experience the Alien Zoo! The immersive experience that the employees created made our time a lot of fun! The puzzles are challenging and fun to solve and the sense of accomplishment that our group had when we got out was awesome! I fully recommend giving it a shot, whether you are a puzzle person or not, even the easier rooms will be a lot of fun!

My daughter wanted to go to try an Escape room for her 11th birthday with one of her friends. We decided on EscapeOut because of the great reviews and helpful staff when I called. I was worried it would be too hard or too adult to be fun for her and her friend. I couldnt have been more wrong! Amazing experience!! The puzzles were so unique and fun and there is something for all ages without being too kidish. I was also worried about being too claustrophobic, nope. We did the DaVinci room, which was large and spacious with just a regular exit door. It was the same door used to enter the room and was decorated to not stand out so it didnt take away from the experience. I cant wait to go back and try another room.

We took a small group of 14 year olds to try to escape Malice Manor last night and we had a blast! I love that they’re clearly following guidelines for COVID and it really is a nice break from being in the house. Gets your brain going for sure! We WILL be back and we WILL escape Malice Manor!!

We came here two weeks back as a family activity, and had a blast! We are definitely coming back. Shouting out to the staff for making sure everyone is following COVID social distancing and wearing masks!

This would have to be my favorite escape room. Ive been to multiple in the past, but this one has been of the highest quality and the most challenging. They have multiple rooms, leaving you wanting to come back for more. The actors are incredibly entertaining but equally helpful. Its a great place for youth groups, birthday parties, or just family fun. I look forward to stopping by again sometime!

My boyfriend and I did the Dr. Zylchov’s Laboratory themed room, and it was fun, challenging, and immersive! There were only 2 of us, and we escaped with about 10 seconds left so it is very doable for 2-6 people. The staff made the experience even better by playing an interactive character...accent and all! The staff was also very helpful and friendly. When asked, the clues provided were helpful but not too revealing which helped with keeping the challenge alive.

Dropped off some teenagers. They said they had a great time! Staff was very nice and accommodating.

Awesome place, the top notch acting added so much to the room. The Manner was hard but well done, and scary but so much fun.

My family and I just had a new experience here at Escapeout in August of 2020.We were honored to try out a new room themed to Master DaVinci. By far this is the best room we have tried so far. Having run the gamut of rooms spooky to fantasy and in different venues, this room is the most satisfying. Terrific puzzles, themes and ideas for an entire group to work. Our family ages 13 to 67 found it highly entertaining with plenty to solve. The lighting was atmospheric but easy to see about to work on our tasks.Our Game Master Angelica is the author of the room and quite well she did knock this one out of the park. We could not come up with anything to be critical of.On difficulty, combined minds of a team will find this very satisfying hitting on all the points most would expect from an escape room. Perfectly weighted with the right amount of difficulty as not to be annoying. The inexperienced may find it too difficult but the sheer amount of eye candy in the room will keep them engaged till the bitter end and I would expect them to be excited even if they failed. (We did not fail...just saying!)This room is not yet open to the public. Keep an eye out if Escape Rooms are your thing! When it opens book your experience as fast as you can!Escape Out follows all Covid 19 regulations. Masks are required. The room experiences are private. Staff dissinfects the rooms between each experience. We felt very safe while we escaped.11 out of 10 stars!!!!

We had a great time. Very challenging puzzles that really make you work as a team and force you to look at problems from different angles. The staff was incredibly kind and did a wonderful job of getting into character and setting the mood. A perfect night out.

My fiancé and I did the Malice Manor room. I am such a big chicken so just the ambiance of the room made me scared, lol, but the room setting itself was very cool. The puzzles of the room were very cool and though it had the typical locks, the way you had to get to the answer on the lock was different. There were also many unique puzzles in there which I loved, and though we did not escape, we had a great time. The young lady who was our host was very good amd played her part very well, she added very well to the theme of this room.We hope to return to do the DaVinci room she had said was coming soon.

AWESOME experience! Eight of us (four mother/adult children pairs) escaped The Ritual Room. The challenges/puzzles were interesting, engaging, and fun. We were all very new to escape rooms and for us it was a perfect blend of challenging and manageable.We are all looking forward to trying another challenge!

Hubs and I went and tried to conquer the Ritual Room on Valentines. Day. It was so much fun as well as challenging. The experience overall waa a great one. Nick was a great host. Looking forward to our next adventure.

This place was great. The staff is fun and super helpful you can call for hints. Puts your mind to a challenge definitely will be going back.

Alien Zoo is an awesome room! So much fun. We love this place over a different place we tried because of its personable feel. Each room has its own story and a host acts in character to enhance the experience before you go in. The other place we tried had more of a commercialized less personal feel, which detracts from the appeal. It had two of the same room and we were brought back with another group and talked to with them before going in. The hosts didnt get into character and it made us feel less important and like they were just trying to get more people through. We have done three of the rooms at EscapeOut and they allow the ability to call on a phone for clues/help. They are always very attentive, whereas the other place we tried we ended up waiting for a response and they werent knowledgeable with what were asking or what weve already accomplished...all which is stressful when time is of the essence. As well, the other place limited the number of times you can ask for help and then will deduct time off if ask for more. Another important reason we prefer EscapeOut is you get the room for one price as opposed to paying per person. This way you get the room to yourself, without having to share with strangers. For four people it comes out to the same as if we paid for four people at the other place, but if the room can have up to six or eight, there is a chance of having to share with others. Paying one flat fee for the room is a MUCH better system for us as we like to do these as a family. The room at the other place was still very fun, but we really prefer this place as the overall experience is much better.

Fun times, even though our group of two did not come close to escaping. I’ve done at least half a dozen escape rooms previously and the Ritual Room was still challenging. In fact, I found it a bit too challenging, even with many hints, and some of the clues a bit obscure. Also, not to give too much away, but one of the clues is extremely messy and stained my hands (thankfully not my clothes). I’d recommend just using clear water for this clue instead of dye. I hope to be back with a bigger group.

Our group of 6 did the alien zoo room. We were delighted when an alien came into the waiting room to lead us to our new home, but then warned us that it was known that our species usually didnt live past an hour in their captivity. Everyone in the group helped solve at least some parts of the puzzles, so no one was left out. The room was pretty well matched to us, since we only needed one hint, and we finished with about 5 minute to spare.

We had the best time at EscapeOut! As a family of four (2 adults and two kids) we tried to solve Sorcerers shack, and though we didnt escape this most challenging room, we still felt good about it, as we kept finding things and opening locks all the way without being stuck for a long time. It has very well thought and complex combination of clues that created very fun experience. The host was very welcoming and exceeded our expectations. Thank you!! :)

We had our daughters Birthday here and had an absolute blast! The staff was very curtious and engaging. The room was very authentic and fun. I highly recommend them!

I’ve gone twice now, and both times the experience was outstanding. A really well done job of setting the scene has been thought through, and the escape rooms themselves are well put together, hosting interesting and challenging puzzles. I’d recommend the Alien Zoo as your first run through, as it’s (apparently) the easiest, but I personally have it as my favorite of the two I’ve ran through so far. Definitely coming back to try out the other three!

10/10 had a great experience at EscapeOut this past Sunday! As a group of 3, we managed to escape the Ritual Room. The room was well decorated and the clues were interesting and challenging. We chose this particular location because each reservation is for a private party, so there were no worries of sharing the space with people we didn’t know. EscapeOut was such a fun experience that we’re planning to return soon! We’re looking forward to seeing what challenges await in the other rooms.

Seriously the coolest place ever. Keith and Christian are so funny and act out the characters so charmingly. I cant wait to go back.

Just barely escaped from Malice Manor with the family...Escape Out Folsoms newest room is a total winner! Creative, complex and totally entertaining! Somehow they always manage to find new ways to baffle us!

We had a great time, the puzzles were interesting, our host was enjoyable and was awesome in his character! It was a great intro to our first Escape Room and look forward to another visit!

We had so much fun! Two of us did the laboratory and managed to escape with a few minutes left. Our game master was awesome and made it a great experience. I will definitely be back!

Did the ritual room with a group of 10, ages 24-30, first time for us all and we all really enjoyed it. Some people were hesitant to do the ritual room due to our religious beliefs, but there was nothing demonic/ritual/scary about it Id say. You dont have to sell your soul or draw any demonic symbols or anything, hehe. None of the puzzles had anything demonic/scary about them. Only problem we had is that the very last puzzle was kind of a fail cause we solved it but due to some equipment failure we could not proceed. We only had like a minute left so we just waited for timer to run out till someone would come and fix it/show us how it works. So technically we solved it but it still took that excitement away that we actually escaped on our own. Definitely makes you want to try more rooms once youre done. Will be back again.

Amazing would go again

Creative escape rooms and helpful actors to guide you through the process. Everyone in our family had a great time; ages from 9 to 59.

Being somewhat experienced at escape rooms (10+), I have quite a few to compare to these rooms. For this location Ive done the magician room and the ritual room. Both were excellent. Not the best rooms Ive done, but certainly high quality. The staff is excellent and do a great job of getting you into the theme of the room. The puzzles werent high tech for the most part, but they made sense and were entertaining. A couple of the clues in each room were pretty dang awesome. While not super difficult, they still challenged for sure and we definitely needed a couple of clues. A couple of them had me upset at myself for not putting them together, but hey, hindsight is 20/20.Anyways, 5 stars for this place. Highly recommend it and Ill be back for the others. Plus the games are relatively cheap and private, which is a plus since I hate being stuck in games with random people.

Five of us (ages 20-64) had a great time with Alien Zoo. We loved the theme and found the puzzles to be challenging but doable. We escaped at the very end with no time to spare!

We did three of their rooms now and had so much fun!! Love how their hosts get into character and the fact that all room bookings are private. Im sure well be back to finish all of their rooms; even if we dont escape, the experience is still fun and satisfying.

My work did a team building event. We had a blast! Part of our team did the Magician Room. My team did the Ritual Room. We are looking forward to doing another round with different rooms. I also plan on bringing my family to experience it. So much fun.

Our group did the Alien Zoo & it was fun & definitely challenging. A great way to get with friends & families for a fun night of brain picking! We definitely recommend EscapeOut & would go back to try all of the other rooms.

I have done a lot of escape rooms in the Sacramento area, and this one is one of my favorites! Our room was called Sorcerers Shack. The room was immersive with excellent prop work and all puzzles worked as intended. The clues and puzzles were inclusive with each other which in my opinion can make or break a good escape room. The gentleman that hosted our room was kind and patient! I will absolutely be back.

Outstanding pho! yum yum yum. very reasonable. great service, delivers and has perhaps the best pho ever. Never a bad meal. Very reasonable price, even for a cheap fella like me.

My girlfriends and I love Escape Rooms and were excited to try EscapeOut. We were able to book the whole room for just us 5 (which was a perfect amount of people for the room were in.) The staff was SUPER friendly and in-character and added to the whole experience, even when we called for clues! There were enough clues for everyone to participate. We escaped the room with about 8 minutes to spare! Overall, a wonderful experience! We had so much fun and plan to be back to attempt the other two rooms!

Fantastic! Employees went above and beyond. Very entertaining! The room Dr Zlycove was hilarious and clever--i so appreciated all the science jokes! The Host was funny and friendly! Super awesome experience!!

This place was amazing it was some of the most fun in my life.

Having done several dozen rooms, this place is probably our favorite. The rooms are cool and the puzzles are very satisfying. The characters and pre show acting are the best of any place.

We did all 3 rooms and all of them were great! Puzzles are challenging but not frustrating, staff is always welcoming. Rooms are very well decorated and interesting. I would definitely recommend it to my friends (and I did). In my opinion, most interesting one was the Sorcerers shack (id say go there with at least 6 people) and second place goes to the Ritual Room which is a bit easier (my recommendation - 3-6 people). Cant wait till the new room opens!

This was a great experience even though we did not escape. From the moment we arrived, our host was in character as a Russian lab assistant. We were able to complete many of the puzzles but our time ran out. So fun!

Highly recommend this escape out in Folsom.If this is your first time or inquisitive to find out what occurs in the escape room. Oh, it feels like you are on the survivor show but in reality you are locked in the room instead of the woods.Here’s my personal experience: First you choose the room for example, the lab, ritual or sorceress. We decided to explore the Ritual room. Before you set your feet in the room, they ask you to surrender your belonging or put them in the locker. It’s a personal choice as well but you are not allowed to use phone or devices inside. Then they will set your mood by giving you the history of the room, what to expect in terms of rules, safety precautions. They are super funny and for the ritual room, they make it sound you are going to perform actual ritual. In addition, they make you sign a waiver, you will be responsible for damages to props or anything in the room. So you are locked in a room with family, friends or coworkers and perhaps strangers. It’s a great place for team building or challenging your mind.You will need to work as a team to figure out how to solve the problem under one-hour time-frame. You need to be quick in thinking and move fast to solve the puzzles. As you walk into the room, you will notice a desk, furnace and a few cabinets. These rooms are mind challenging, so don’t go drunk. Escaping the room requires team effort.Id highly recommend this for all ages.

We had a great time at EscapeOut. We did the easiest room and the puzzles were fun to solve and required creativity, but were never too hard. The game had some light role-play elements when the hostess explained the scenario to us which really added to the fun. Were looking forward to returning and trying the harder rooms!

Had so much fun in the ritual room. The puzzles were great, the ambiance was on point, and we made it out with time to spare, but the best part was our host. She had us laughing and into the story before the game even started. It was like stepping into a detective movie, I cant wait to go back and play the other rooms.

Escape out is an awesome place for a fun day with friends and family, I’ve been here twice and have had a great time. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the rooms are super fun.

Went with some friends. By far one of the funnest things Ive ever done. would definitely recommend this. Played Ritual very well designed and lot of Surprising elements with a WOW Factor. Will definitely come back to play other rooms

I have been 3 times now, and I have loved it every time! Dont over -think the easiest one like I did, lol! But the rooms are fun, well set up, and intricate enough to keep you engaged without being overwhelming. They do not have as many special effects as some places do, but that does not detract from the enjoyment of solving the rooms! And the docents have been a blast every time too. Looking forward to trying the next level room soon!

Great experience for my sons 13th birthday. All 12 kids enjoyed the experience and they all want to do it again.

This activity was one I will never ever forget. Its like nothing Ive ever experienced before. Absolutely amazing! We were a group of six and booked into the Dr Zylchov’s Laboratory’. I would love to try the others! Not denying the activity was hard, but Angelica was great really getting into her character during introduction and helping us with clues whenever necessary.I would definitely recommend this activity, fun for all ages!

My sisters and I had such a great experience from the moment we arrived. We had chosen Dr. Zylchov’s lab for our escape. Our host was so entertaining and friendly. The escape was very challenging and even though we were unable to escape our host in total role play mode helped us to complete it.

We had a blast at EscapeOut in Folsom. We did the Sorcerers room. The woman who helped us really got into character and made it fun. We are going back to try the Magicians room for a 11 year old birthday. LOVE that we can do this in FOLSOM!

Tried the escape room my first time with my classmates and had a great time! The ambience and story were awesome despite not being able to make it out from the magician room in time (we were close!)Cant wait to try again soon!

My group of 5 went late last night to the Esacpe Out in Folsom and It was the most fun we have had in a while. The staff was great and the room was set up perfectly. For ages 18-20 this place was great !

My friends and I went to play EscapeOut’s newest room —Dr. Zylchov’s Laboratory. Our host Angelica was the perfect genius scientist as she explained our mission and we were charged and ready to go! The room was set up well and we really felt like we were in a real scientist’s lab.The puzzles are not hard but they aren’t easy either :). It takes some thinking and presence of mind to get into the zone and crack the code.While we did not succeed at saving mankind from radioactive disaster, we had a wonderful time working together as a team and we will be back!!

Omg I can not say enough about this escape room!!! Angelica was our host and she was amazing, her passion for her job shines through. I totally lost myself in the theatrics for an hour and made memories with friends and family that will last a lifetime!!!
