It was a VERY beautiful light display that was extremely well organized! They did such a great job, you do not want to miss out on this! If you have little ones there is a pull off area before you exit so you can put them back in their car seats ♡ so they dont have to miss a single display and can sit up front and enjoy the show with you! There was even an appearance from the grinch and Santa ♡

This is a very family friendly place. People of all ages will find something to enjoy. The Christmas decorations are beautiful and makes the village just that much more picturesque. Ride the train, the carousel and the ferris wheel, walk through the village at your own pace and enjoy the history told by the folks that work there. Very friendly place and wonderful atmosphere. It gets a little busy getting on and off the train but not too much. Take a day trip and visit this great place. You wont be disappointed!

Every season Crossroads goes above and beyond! This Halloween was very special to my family because of covid-19 most people who are immuno-compromised have not been able to get out and enjoy or participate in the festivities but being able to drive through and see ALL of the hard work they have went through to put on an awesome Halloween show really means alot! Thank you Crossroads!

It was a beautiful ride.If you reach early there, you can take pictures with train. They have a warm waiting room. The train ride is very good. The interiors of the train give you a rustic feeling. They guide wherever the train leads and one can get to hear nice Christmas carols too. The beauty of the ride is the lake right beside the train.

This was my familys first time going here. We bought tickets for a Thomas the Train event called Day out with Thomas. We rode the train for about 45 minutes and then entered into the Village. There was a lot of fun activities and of course lots of Thomas the Train stuff everywhere to play with and buy. In the back of the village, there was an amusement park with rides-tickets were cheap and worth the $. Also had pigs, goats and llamas to look at. Overall, the experience was great and one my family and I will remember for years to come! I would definitely recommend this place for a fun family filled day!! Will be going back again!!

This is a really nice place. We went near Christmas, so it was really crowded. It is definitely a place geared for younger kids, but adults can enjoy it too. There are many authentic homes that have been brought in from around the state in order to make a small town. The workers that are stationed in each of the homes have a good knowledge of when the house was built and who lived in it. There are also authentic historical businesses such as a barber shop and printing press. There is a working carousel and Ferris wheel on the premises as well as a steam train that takes you on a fun ride around the campus. In order to ride in the caboose you must arrive early, and talk to the engineer so he can give you instructions. The roads are dirt, do not wear nice shoes.

Great place for the family. Good for a quick visit, or for most the day. With enough content to last half a day or more. Great historical information. Great Christmas light display. Quaint train ride. An enjoyable loo e play. All in a themed party with actors ready and willing to tell you something about the time or the place they are. If youve got the money, Id recommend this at least once.

Fun and educational for the whole family.Historic buildings from the Genesee County area. It is like a giant walkthrough museum. The carousel is very fast, I mean fast ( 10 MPH they said). My 7 year old said he had fun, but he had to hold on tight. The train ride is relaxing. The sights, sounds and smells of the train ride, gives you a taste of what it would have been like back in the day taking a trip.I gave 3 ☆ instead of 4 because the Genesee Bell was shut down, and the village itself gives me the feel of a ghost town. The employees do a great job with the shows they do. But they do not last long.Walking through everything and taking the train ride, my family and I spent about 4.5 hours there.

Great place to take the kids and the whole family. We went close to Halloween this year and they really take the time to get the village all decorated. Kids enjoy doing the trick or treating around the village, going into and out of all the old houses and buildings. The train ride is always fun, its not too short of a ride and not too long of a ride, cool old train. There is also a comedy show at the old theater. There are a couple shops located within the village and a small diner. Parking has never been a problem there, plenty. There is a big carousel toward the back the kids enjoy as well as a ferris wheel. If youre looking for a place to take the family where you can walk around for a few hours and not get bored then I would recommend this place. They also have a christmas event where the decorate the whole village like a winter wonder land, also a great tile to take the kids there. Located around Flint it is a little bit of a drive for me at an hour and a half but certainly worth the drive and the price of admission. We have been 2 years now and want to make going here a tradition we can keep up for both of our young children. All staff members are all dressed up to match the theme of the village and are all very polite, courteous, and all generally seem like they really enjoy their jobs and enjoy being there

Really a great place to go for Halloween, Christmas and to enjoy all the old houses and businesses. Any other time is great. Plenty of parking and it’s organized parking as well as plenty of lights in the wintertime months in the evening. The food is pretty basic and not any healthy options. Everyone who works there are super friendly and do a fantastic job at explaining the house your in. The train ride is organized and very fun for kids and adults. Bathrooms are really nice and clean considering how many people come through Crossroads. Well worth it.

Crossroads Village is a collection of some of Michigans historic buildings that were saved from destruction by the historical society. Most buildings are open to the public and a guided tour is available. Rides are available on the historic Huckleberry Railroad in restored 19th century coaches... complete with the sights, sounds and movement of train cars of that era. A great place for the whole family.

We love taking out 1 year old here for holiday events. In 2019, we took her trick or treating for the first time at Crossroads. We all got treats and the decorations were very cool. Halloween 2019 was cold and rainy so we chose not to take her out and it was cool because she had already been! Christmas at Crossroads was not as impressive as Halloween. The decorations in the village were kind of sparse. There also were not activities for the kids like the hay maze in the fall.Either way, its a short fun trip perfect for a toddler and her exhausted parents.

Its hard to believe that youre in the Flint area when at Crossroads Village (its like a mini Greenfield Village for those who know the Detroit area). Walk back in time to see houses of a century ago while watching people craft items as they were made years ago. They have a few rides. Their indoor historical Carousel Merry-Go-Round and their train are the ride highlights. Call ahead for details and events. Christmas there is nice for the kids.

Awesome staff, consisting of volunteers and paid workers who work to make everyones experience at Crossroads, a wonderful day. Sometimes people expect too much and complain too much but these people go above and beyond to make everyone happy. Crossroads itself is a great place to come to experience a flashback in time when things were much simpler and laid-back. You can bring a lunch and enjoy it on the Genesee Bell, or take a train ride and listen to the wonderful sound of the whistle on the new engine, #152! While you are there, look for Michigans troubadour, Neil Woodward! Hes the roving musician whose music you can hear while riding the train or Genesee Bell. Listen for the song Engine 464, or Engine 152. Not quite sure thats the proper name of the song for 152, but stop and give a listen and say hello to Neil. Hes the guy playing the banjo, violin or tin whistle.

This is such a gem! My kids absolutely love this place. The train and paddle wheel boat are fun, scenic rides that last a good 30-45 minutes each. The historic village and buildings really take you back in time. The carnival rides tucked in the back are a fun surprise. The very friendly staff are eager to educate, answer questions, or just chat a while. The Halloween and Christmas celebrations are exceptional! I couldnt believe the amount of decorations and fun that these events offer. Even though we live more than an hour away, we buy season passes every year.
