Great community with one of the top rated golf courses in the state of Arizona. Residents are welcoming and very friendly and lots of fun activities at the clubhouse and community center. Something for everyone.

The information listed for this location is obviously wrong. Flagstaff Ranch as well as S Flagstaff Ranch Rd are both located South of I-40 and West of Woody Mtn Rd.The area located North of W Mt Elden Lookout Rd and East of Shultz Pass Rd was once upon a time the Flagstaff Country Club. It was a nice little 9 hole municipal golf course. In the late 1960s to early 1970s I learned how to play golf there. Or at least something resembling golf. After the golf course closed, the clubhouse became part of Avery’s Kowboy Kountry Club, a popular bar/restaurant/dance hall during the mid to late 1970s. There was a small rodeo arena behind the bar/restaurant where jackpot team roping took place a few nights per month, weather permitting. The Old-time Cowboys Reunion Rodeo was held there from 1978 to 1981. On December 23, 1981, Averys Kowboy Kountry Club burned to the ground due to suspected arson. The City of Flagstaff owns 20 acres of land in the vicinity. In January, 2013, the Flagstaff City Council rejected a proposal to sell the parcel of land after strong opposition from concerned Flagstaff residents.
Neat place
