This is one of my favorite spots to eat in the Metro area. The menu choices are different than the norm and I really enjoy most of them. Anything Ive ordered has always been on point :) The service is usually very good and always very friendly. Im not a huge drinker but the beer choices are excellent - I love that they have Hefeweizens; no one ever seems to carry them! All in all, 5/5. Definitely try it out!

This is a nice and fun bar, and I would recommend it to everyone. I used to go there every weekend and I was in love with a spicy sausage and veggie plate they used to have on their menu (see the photo), unfortunately they removed that item recently and I don’t find a reason to visit them again. Specially because the other items in the menu are not my type.They’ve got a fair number of craft beer as well and I would recommend the Old Nation beer (they call it m53 i guess) from the list for beer lovers.

I got a pick up order. First I have to say they moved all of the tables far from the doors and each other, the employee who processed my charges and gave me my food hand sanitized no less than three times during my brief interaction with him, all of which was highly appreciated. As far as the pick up portion of our order it was a rare occasion where all of our food, dip, and substitutes were present and accounted for. The food itself was incredible. The fries and onions rings were fried perfectly and the pesto grilled cheese was amazing.

Love their Brussels sprouts, absolute best. Never had any bad food here in general tho, great variety in the menu, vegetarian options YAY! The staff is fantastic at offering suggestions, not pushy at all, just really helpful & friendly. Taking precautions seriously, temperature check at the door, social distancing, suggested reservations. Very happy about all of it. Highly recommend

This was my first time here. We had a very friendly waitress. The building was cool with nice art all around and even a handful of arcade games. The food was delicious and we even opted to get dessert which we usually never do at restaurants. They also had a large beer and wine selection. Will definitely be back!

Went to One-Eyed Betty for the first time and really enjoyed the food. My family ordered their brussel sprouts, wings, roasted vegetables, gumbo, and burgers. All were great u only have one suggestion for the Chef and that is maybe sauté a few shrimp in caujin seasoning and add to the gumbo. I really like the decor and atmosphere. My waitress was wonderful. Staff was very friendly. One-Eyed Betty now has a spot in my go to restaurants for friends and family. Definitely will be returning.

Had dinner here last night and had a terrible experience. When we were sat it was an hour before closing, although when the host to sat us we were not aware of that and the restaurant was full so we didn’t think twice about being there. We proceeded to sit at the table for 30 more minutes until someone came over and said he’d bring us waters, they didn’t arrive for 15 more minutes. He came back to take our order and said oh we’re about to close but I can put your order in so we promptly ordered. 15 more minutes went by before we got our drinks. Sat there for 20 minutes more and finally was able to get our servers attention to which he said he would check with the kitchen. He came back to tell us that for some reason he only rang in one of the entrées we ordered and would ask the kitchen to make the other items. When the two of the three items came out we realized that they didn’t make the third item that we ordered so one of the people in our party was left with only an appetizer to eat for their dinner. When we inquired as to if we could order the third item he said I’m sorry we’re out of chicken, we should have been told this when we ordered. Not much of an apology was offered no rectification of the situation was offered. I’ve been to other locations for this restaurant and they are much better. I don’t think we will return to this location.I have worked in the service industry for a long time and have a lot of forgiveness for servers when they are very visibly busy as to making mistakes as long as an apology is offered. The server in this case was nowhere to be found and many tables had to ask other employees if they could even get his attention.

We love One-eyed Bettys brunch the best. Anything weve gotten there is awesome! We especially love Jessie as a server. Shes super delightful and attentive.

This place has great food and an awesome atmosphere, they are also taking covid 19 really seriously and I genuinely appreciate that. I love that they do temperature checks at the door.

Came in for our first time out since the pandemic. We were seated and somewhat forgot about.. but it wasn’t long before a nice gentleman came up to us and asked us if we had been served.. when we replied no, he put our beers and two appetizers on the house. We were treated like royalty the whole evening. That says a lot about a business!!! Each of the staff was polite and generous. We will definitely be back!!! Great food, drinks and service. Can’t say enough good stuff.

I first encountered this restaurant when my friend suggested I try the delicious betty burger earlier this year.We ordered them to-go. It was a busy night, the staff was a little uptight but we gave the benefit of the doubt as it was super busy. The burgers were thrown together in a sort with one lousy piece of spring mix, one dot of the mayo and missing the extra cheese I asked for. The burger itself was good nonetheless so we ate them. The fries were okay. I try again recently with an uber eats order. The pastrami sandwich was very good but the onion rings were quite salty. The Vaca Tacos were a mess as the forgot ingredients and sides that completed the dish. I called to complain/explain and the manager, Chris, had no problem helping me figure out how to reimburse me. For that I really appreciate the general management but the food is definitely mediocre as I went back on a Saturday night to try the tacos again(for free) and they were way better than the first time but just okay. I also tried the brussel sprouts and again the flavor was there but they were over fried. I would say that has to do with poor boh management in sense of getting your line cooks up to par with recipes and consistency. I do understand that during this time it is hard to find staff that will even show up so I wont count this place out just yet. On another hand the desserts are A1. I tried the brownie with butter caramel ice cream and it was absolute DELICIOUSNESS. The donuts are good as well. I hope this feedback will help

Overrated. There was a hair in my salad. Arugula Salad has way too much lemon in it. Pasta was too lemon-y and also the desert was just eh.

Disgusting! I have no idea how they have positive reviews, I’ve been here a total of 4 times and the food was bland and mediocre every single time, recently I tried the salmon and rice and I got food poisoning, it was the only thing that I ate so I know it’s from this restaurant and I do have receipt proof, and proof from the urgent care that it was food poisoning! Do not eat here if you want to feel ok after you eat your food.

Great food with large portions, nice and large beer selection, and amazing service. Also they do a great job of following and enforcing mask wearing as well as having a foot handle for the bathroom door.

Ive been here half a dozen times, and never had a good experience. Last time I sat at the bar and the bartender barely acknowledged I was there. Much better bars around the area to go to. Gotta give props where they are due though, I think Sunday afternoon is free pinball. Good on you for that.

My sister and I eat here on occasion and they never disappoint with the food. Especially the Brussels sprouts! Tonight when we dined here, we had a waitress named Jessy M. She was incredible. So sweet, caring, and friendly. Always had a smile on her face. It was so refreshing meeting someone like her. We dine out a lot and have had our fair share of bad and good service. Jessy blew them all away. We will go back just to sit in her section again. Thank you for the amazing service!!

So I was super nervous on my hot date with this girl, however, the cocktails that I really needed for liquid courage, were not as strong as I needed them to be, however, my server was rock solid and my meal was delectable so there is my review right there

I’ve been here a couple times now, and every time I’ve left a little disappointed. This time though we did take out and that’s the last time. We ordered blackened salmon and the Swedish meatballs. Do not recommend. Undercooked, missing part of our order, and presentation is awful. Sorry One-Betty’s, we really wanted to like you.

I came to visit with an out of town friend. It was my first time here. It was a quiet night but worth the trip. The ladies behind the bar were able to tell us about each drink we were interested in. We ordered a flight and the ice cream. The ice cream was sweet and delicious! The drinks were cold, and served quickly. A lot of great drinks from Michigan!

So happy we stopped into One-Eyed Bettys for a bite to eat after a night in RO, food was amazing and a great atmosphere. Definitely suggest sharing multiple apps.

The gumbo and Brussels sprouts are incredible!! Cool atmosphere and a massive drink menu. The restaurant offers booths and communal seating. Love that you can play a game or two of pinball while you wait. Will definitely be back!

This place has passed the test of time because of its amazing food and down to earth service. We used to be huge fans of public house but it’s a little too cool for school and the prices are rising and the food I declining. There are so many great dishes to try at one eyed Betty’s like the spinach salad, beer soup, Brussels sprouts, bacon w a side of bacon and whatever drink or food special they have at the time. Their alcohol list is killer and I can’t wait to go back!!

Went based on a friends recommendation. We got the Brussels and the poutine as an app and then the steak to split. The apps were so big we didnt need the steak, but everything was insanely tastey! Brussels were crispy, putine fries were excellent and the steak was cooked to perfection. We loved it!

Loved the changes since the pandemic. I feel oober safe coming here. They thoroughly clean the tables and there is hand sanitizer on every table. The entire staff was super friendly and helpful. Love the brussels sprouts and grilled cheese. Will definitely be back.

Ive been here five or six times now and Ive never left unhappy, or even close to it.This past time was my first time coming here since being 21, so it was great to finally take advantage of their great beer menu. Id highly recommend getting a flight -- the 4-ish ounce samples are more than enough to share when you get the 6-sample flight and its only $14.The waiters and waitresses are always knowledgeable on the food and drinks, which is appreciated. They seem to enjoy their jobs and do a great job with recommendations and explanations.My only complaint is a lack of vegan options and not too many vegetarian options. The CooCoo Salad could easily be made vegan by removing the honey in the balsamic, and Im sure many people (okay, maybe just me) would be thrilled by this! However, the salad was delicious and roughly 90% toppings, and Im really looking forward to coming back so I can get it again. Some dried cranberries would also be great on it (hint hint).I love basically everything about Bettys and will keep coming back, if not for the great food then for their waitstaff and extensive beer selection

Great beer and whiskey selection. $3 whiskey pour every day is a great value that makes a good sipper to accompany whatever youre drinking. Poor mans plate is one of my favorites for dinner or brunch. Bloody Marys come with a beer back.

Great food and an awesome beer selection (many from Michigan Breweries). The food always tastes fresh and the portion sizes are large. My only complaint would be that they take a little while to get you the check and take your order. Other than that, I have had a fantastic experience here.

We came here for a birthday brunch, and although a bit pricy, the food is always fresh, and very unique.Definitely give yourself some extra time as there is usually a wait though.

Great food, but Im sure they are filling the Sriracha bottles with off brand sauce. Ruined my experience. Too bad cause everything else was good.

Great environment, delicious food and beer selection

I have had two different experiences here. My first was after the bar, the staff was young and full of smiles, the sound of late night laughter and well dressed millennials sharing cozy conversations before heading home. The salad was tasty and the prices were decent. My second encounter was for breakfast, the lunch menu was not an option until a certain time, and the omelet was not something I would order again. The staff is friendly, the food alright, the crowd and atmosphere inviting.

I work in the PICU at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. They have fed us their wonderful food, at least 3 times. They have to be the most thoughtful group of people. The food is amazing, and I live far from their restaurant. Becuase of their generosity, I’ll drive the hour to get their food!! Thank you from the frontlines!!

One-Eyed Bettys has a large and great selection of drinks, from standard pilsner style beers to barleywine. They also have a large variety of liquors and spirits to choose from. The food is hit and miss. The French onion soup is pretty good and so are the fried brussel sprouts. However the entrees are lacking. This time I decided to give the Fwanch Deep (their French dip) another go. It was the same as last time I remember, just okay, I ended up adding salt to the au jus. The only other thing about this place isnt truly a negative, but they are consistently busy, almost always a 20 minute wait at minimum.

Love this place! Im obsessed with their grilled cheese ESPECIALLY with the tomato jam. Great drink menu as a cider drinker- always new ones to try.Staff is always amazing!

The food at One Eyed Betty’s is absolutely delicious. We had the sausage and pepper appetizer, which was a little spicier than had been planned on and I had the Cuban sandwich which is one of the best Cubans I’ve ever had. They also have an extensive beer menu selection, which means you’ll always be able to find SOMETHING you like.

One of my favorite places to eat in Ferndale. My favorite thing to get are the crispy brussels sprouts in garlic and balsamic. Never was a fan of Brussel sprouts until I tasted these. Make sure you try them! The gumbo is sooo freakin good, roasted oysters and the poutine. Honestly, I’ve had my share of poutine and these are by fair the best I’ve had.

One of the better places for beer selections in town, however not the first place to recommend for a great dinner. Awkward! The grilled cheese is where it’s at - the chicken sandwich wants to be like the grilled cheese but we had 4 people at our table order it and we all came to the conclusion that it tasted like freezer burnt Tyson chicken. Yummy!

Good food, but the service is lacking. I litterly had to stand and raise my hand to get my servers attention as he stood at the bar joking and talking with the other servers and that took 10 minutes. We sat with empty beer glasses for over 15 minutes, in a place that has so many beers on tap. Its a shame because the food is so good but when you leave hourly employees to do their bidding without a manager presence I guess thats what you get.

They were able to accommodate a huge surprise birthday brunch for us in short notice - our waiter was extremely attentive and the $5.00 Bloody Marys were great!

Always tasty food, great beer and spirits menu, and good service. One of my top go- to places to take out of town friends. Love its Ferndale vibe too.

Always great! I stepped outside my comfort zone and tried The Imposter plant based burger and it was EXCELLENT! I could not tell the difference. The great thing about it was I didnt have that full feeling....very similar to when I eat a salmon sandwich/burger. So I high recommended and the Brussels sprouts!

Very pleasant staff. Beer selection is great. But the main reason for the 5 star review is the food. Not a huge selection, but some unique menu items and everything Ive ever had here is delicious. Arugala Salad is great. And their sandwiches are filling, come with fries, and not over priced (~$12)
