Just read the most recent review of Lawrence Street Gallery. I find it interesting that a person expects a business to remain open after posted hours for their convenience. It is the consumers responsibility to conduct business during posted hours and allow for time to reach that business within those hours.
Wow! Horrible staff, the way they speak to artists is extremely rude. I called to pick up my work of art and was literally yelled at by the receptionist that they will not wait for 5 minutes after Ive driven a long way to pick up my work that was just in one of their exhibits. Im completely shocked and will let other artists know about this incident. Lawrence Gallery never again, unless they hire new staff.
Great showing of local artists. Staff is knowledgeable and very helpful.
Beautiful display of art. Very friendly artists who took time to chat about their work.
What a great little gallery! My wife and I were looking for a place to take our kids for a while that was both close by as well as interesting for our 4 children ages 9 to 14. This was pleasantly the right choice. The two artists that were there were knowledgeable and friendly, neither was pushy to make a sale, and they allowed us space to view on our own. Like Joe B. stated, its worth seeing what local artists are making.
Great little gallery featuring many great artists.
Nice smaller gallery with an Artists co-op. I liked what I saw and met a couple of the artists there.
Visited there yesterday for the Oscar B Oscar exhibit. It was delightful and the male nudes were intriguing in their simplicity. the gallery is not big; but has a rotating collection that is always new and fresh. The one thing about the Oscar collection is that it is small, and the gallery had NO information about who he is, where he is from or anything else. Id like to know more about him
They feature local artists. It is a great place for unique gifts.
Lots of different artists and media! New exhibits every month!
Beautiful art and artists
