First timer and I was really impressed with how intricate the room we chose was. Harder than I anticipated but it was sanitary and covid accommodations and precautions were in place. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend an easy room for first timers. We chose a harder one and couldnt complete it in time. In fact Ive been in here for days. If youre reading this SEND HELP!!!

Alright if your going to do this escape room be ready. It is a more mental intensive room, the clues are intriguing and intricate making it a fun and challenging experience. Its $25 per person and pretty worth it. The room we did was called weirder stuff. Its a considered one of the more harder rooms and to that I agree. it has a multitude of clues some of which are hard to solve but are possible. Finally the room and entrance and the overall feel of the room is amazing but the story can be a confusing especially when your under a time constraint and the pressure of solving the puzzles on top of that stop its easy to miss important plot points and have no clue whats the story. THE STAFF IS SO NICE!!! She was amazing, considerate, and helpful. She made the experience 50% better.

I took my kids to Fifth Wall and had a great time. We did the Houdini Room and the puzzles were challenging but we were able to solve most of them (although we did have to phone a friend a couple times :). The staff were very friendly and helpful! The staff always wore a mask and the room was very clean. We did experience a glitch that caused us to lose a little time, but they let us stay a little longer to make up for it. It was a great way to get the kids off of the screens and using their minds, and we are already planning to go back for another room.

Took our leadership team from work here as a team building exercise. We rented the space and the 7 of us collectively were able to get out with under two minutes to spare! We were all Escape room virgins but we had a blast. The room was challenging yet not too overdone, there was just enough assistance from the hints to not feel like we were being helped too much, and the concept was very cool.We will definitely be back once the new room opens for another go round. We had the most incredible time here! We brought a group of 16 people so we rented out both rooms! Everyone had a blast and honestly this is by far the best escape rooms I have ever been too! I highly recommend going here. The staff had exceptional customer service, both of the rooms were so detailed yet unique and the atmosphere here is one of a kind. The Fifth Wall Escape Rooms gave me a birthday I will never forget! Thanks for the awesome experience!

Amazing experience as our first time doing an escape room! we did the Houdini escape room and it was so much fun!! our first escape room ever and we were paired with another couple who was really cool and had done a few escape rooms themselves so they kind of lead us through but we all enjoyed it very much. the guy running it was super nice and funny and cool. great service, reasonable price, and a fantastic and memorable experience!! i loved the whole thing and it was just something very fun and different from things i’m used to doing. will definitely return to do the other rooms, and i highly suggest going here if you’ve never done one before. great first experience. i honestly didn’t think it was going to be as fun as it actually was. my date and I both had a wonderful time.

This was my first Escape Room and it didnt disappoint. We did the Weirder Stuff room (six 12-13 year old girls and two adults). It was definitely creepy. The puzzles were challenging and each puzzle is different. Every aspect of the room is finely detailed and well crafted. We definitely want to do this again and I highly recommend the Fifth Wall Escape Rooms.

Great first experience, we did the weirder stuff room. Forgot his name but the guy (colorful hair) who did the introduction did a fantastic job! Very helpful without giving anything away. We needed more explanation since it was our first time. The room wasnt easy, but not super difficult either. It had a story to figure out as well as an escape. So theyre multiple clues and puzzles to figure out. We did it with a group of four. The tablet used was somewhat of a distraction for the user. I would definitely do it again.

Loved the Weirder Stuff escape room. We did it with a group of nine and CRUSHED IT. Its way more immersive than a lot of the other escape rooms weve done. Would highly recommend. Cant wait to go back and try other rooms.

I did the Houdini room and the Purple Gang room and they were both amazing! I’ve done many escape rooms before, and the Houdini room incorporated a lot of puzzle elements I hadn’t seen before that were really fun. In particular, our game master Todd was the best game master I’ve ever had. He gave us hints to prevent us from going down the wrong track with the puzzles, but also didn’t give us too many hints so we could solve the puzzles on our own. Highly recommend The Fifth Wall!

Based on our visit (8 people), Id say this is an excellent room for a first timer. It is an all around solid room and definitely recommended, but it is not a next level escape room experience. Definitely recommend a divide and conquer strategy for people visiting, so you dont run out of time.Good:- Everything worked. I cannot express how many times this isnt the case.- Puzzles fit the theme. Also really welcome to see.- Not an abundance of padlocks. Padlocks are lazy puzzles these days.- The clock was interesting and totally unique.- Staff is really friendlyLess Good (not deal breakers):- The intro video is really too long. And then you go into the room and there is another audio introduction. Less talk, more rock.- In general, the audio volume was a little low and maybe could be bumped up.Looking forward to trying their future rooms.

We came here on a Saturday with a big group of 10 people, ranging in age from 7 to 70+. Had a great time browsing the curios in the lobby (“I wonder if there are any clues out here?” Uh, no.) before starting. The puzzles Included a mix of kinetic, spatial, logical, numerical and verbal types, but they struck a good balance that challenged us without seeming impossible. Some of the tasks were sequential but others weren’t, so just about everyone stayed busy and engaged the whole hour—even the kids. The excellent guide did have to help us out a few times (she could view us through a camera and talk through a speaker), but she said (ahem) that we needed less help than most groups. We made it out with five minutes to spare!

Amazing experience. Totally worth it. Will be coming again.

So, we went to the Houdini room yesterday and it was a blast! Todd is helpful and gives hints when you get a little lost. The room itself was impressive. Everything looks period appropriate and the storyline of the room is fun to explore. We had five on our group and feel as though 5 or 6 was perfect for that room. Thanks, Todd!

The experience was horrible. Both escape rooms we played we were put in a room with a bunch of people to ensure they make the most amount of money. Awkward to say the least, the group we were put with took ALL the clues to solve and gave us NOTHING to do while we stand around and wait for them to try and solve the puzzle. We will NOT be back. When you have more than 4 to 6 people there is NOT enough for people to solve more than one clue at a time. Horrible being forced to share a room with strangers just so the business can make more money and ruin the experience.

We tried (albeit unsuccessfully) to escape the Houdini room at Fifth Wall & had such a fantastic time!! The owners put so much thought & style into this place; it’s SO super cool inside. We really appreciated the extra help they have our group that included a bunch of boys ages 9-13; they made sure they stayed challenged but not frustrated. We’ll definitely be back (sans children next time ).

By far one of the best escape experiences weve been too. Top notch production value and narrative. Just the right level of tention to keep you on your toes. So friendly. 5/5 must stop by if you can.

Our group of 8 had 4 adults and 4 kids (age 8-12). A fun time was had by all. Challenging for the adults but enough tasks so the kids were able to participate, too. This was my first escape, but my sister has been to a dozen different rooms and felt it was one of the better ones- beautiful room and quality craftsmanship. A fun way to support local businesses. Can’t wait to try the purple room.

We had so much fun! We rented out both rooms to cap off our holiday party for our staff. We werent quite sure what to expect. The rooms were amazing. Great attention to detail and the props were not cheap in the least. Teamwork was necessary and it was awesome watching everyone working to find clues. We all left laughing and talking about returning very soon.

I’ve been to over 20+ Escape Rooms in the states and in Korea, and this is by far the most realistically themed one!! The themes are all inspired from real historical facts in Michigan. The interior was really clean and lighting was just perfect. I can’t wait till they open up more rooms!!Tip : if you need to blow something, blow it REALLY hard.

My wife and I did the Houdini room yesterday and had a blast! The room has some seriously cool tech and the production quality is fantastic -- we felt very immersed. Weve done our fair share of escape rooms and both found the puzzles in this room to be very rewarding. Moreover, the team at Fifth Wall Escape Rooms is wonderful! Very fun, laid back people who clearly have a lot of passion for what they do. I cant wait until their next slate of rooms open up so that we can go back!

A few weeks ago we went to the Fifth Wall Escape room in Ferndale. We laughed, got frustrated, laughed again and learned to work together. Everyone, from littles to retired, had a wonderful experience and swore we’d come again! Our guide, Sam, was extremely friendly and offered hints when we were struggling. A fun way to spend an afternoon or evening with family or friends! We’ll be back!

Tried the Houdini Escape room with a group of 5. The room was challenging, but incredibly fun and and very emersive. We were able to book the room a few hours before the reservation time with no issues.

Room was well thought out and constructed extremely well. Not all cheap locks and such, much more interesting. It was obvious that a lot of effort went into putting the room and clues together. Mostly problem solving based, very little to no scavenger hunting.

Amazing experience! Everything was top notch. Will be back to try another room.

The owner was a great host! The decor of the room was spot on and had several unique puzzles and challenges. We are looking forward to returning to this establisment and trying another escape room. The Houdini Trap is definitely in our top 3 of our 45 escape rooms completed in the U.S & abroad.

The Houdini room was an absolute blast. The props and puzzles are amazingly well done. Took my family there and they won’t stop talking about it.

This was our first visit, and my husband and I have never done an escape room. It was extremely fun and quite challenging. We went with some friends who had done various ones and claimed this to be the best though-out one! We are excited for them to make more so we can come back!

Had a wild and wonderful time with a friend escaping from The Harry Houdini Trap this afternon. The puzzles were puzzling, the challenges challenging... for our first forray into adventure escaping, it was just about perfect.My favorite part - and one thing I doubt youll ever see discussed in any review or write-up on the escape room phenomenon - is that for the entire hour - I was just completely *present* in what was happening around me. An exciting challenge, to be sure. But at the same time, it felt like a vacation from the outside world. I wasnt worried about my job, I wasnt worried about the decisions Ive made in the past, or hadnt made yet for the future. There was no past. There was no future. I was just... there. In that moment.It turned out to be an escape room in every sense of the world. Both literal, AND figurative. Were already talking about our follow-up visit. Our next stop? Trying out life as cops, working against The Purple Gang in 1929 Detroit. Cant wait.

One of the best escape rooms I’ve been to!

My friends and I had a fantastic time doing the Houdini room. The puzzles were very good. Some were more difficult than others but there was never anything that seemed so obscure and out of left field. The only minor complaint we had was that the room was very echoey so it was difficult to hear the overhead narrator when events would happen. We lost some time because we couldnt understand what was said some of the time, but the game master was very attentive and let us know what we missed fairly quickly. I would strongly recommend the room and cant wait for the other rooms to be completed.

Really great experience. Excellent hosts and attention to detail. Took my team out from M.C.WICHES. Everyone loved it and it was a great team building excercise! Would be great just with friends too.

Having been to several escape rooms in the area, this is by far the best. They employ third generation technology that most of the rooms in New York and L.A. now use. Not only that, but they really deliver when it comes to capturing the essence of the period in which the story is supposed to take place. Nice job. I cant wait to see what they come up with next. I would have liked to seen that vintage Faygo machine in the lobby fixed, though. Get on that!
