Allison Douglas........YOU ARE AMAZING! You wore so many hats for us and you did an outstanding job in every role you. From the moment i told you I wanted to plan my best friends wedding at the Ritz to Monday when we left, it was a magical experience and we owe it mostly to you! I cant thank you enough for everything you did. You and Donna were such a pleasure to work with and I look forward to sending more weddings there in the future. Thank you Allison you really are amazing! Anyone thinking of having an event or wedding at the RITZ you will not be disappointed. They truly will make it a beautiful wedding.

The beach is nice and the staff is friendly, but the rest is not the best. I would not visit this hotel again. The resort and parking fees werent the only thing to leave a bad taste in our mouth. The food at this hotel is simply not good. The two elevators for one tower had long lines. The rooms are really starting to show their age. I would look elsewhere for a vacation.

Its the Ritz so you expect great service and this location does not disappoint. The hotel itself is beautifully appointed. Large windows show off lush gardens and the beach beyond, wide comfortable hallways invite lounging and conversation and the lobby sushi bar is a nightly treat, yet, the rooms leave something to be desired. Dated is the best way to describe my room (707). The beds could use an update, so too with the furniture. The bathroom is pure marble luxury with great shower pressure and separate toilet room. The best room feature has to be the balcony. This one overlooks the beach and the hotel grounds offering the perfect perch for sunrises and sunsets.

The Ritz Carlton Amelia Island is our favorite vacation spot. My husband and I got married here 4 years ago and we come back multiple times each year. Two weeks ago, we visited and it was our first trip since the pandemic. We had a phenomenal experience thanks to the awesome Marius Premac (Assistant Front Office Manager), the outstanding Antonio Davis (Front Desk Agent) and the terrific Shuntral (Guest Experience Agent). They provided the ultimate customer experience and we are so grateful. The safety precautions were outstanding, the service was spectacular, the food was fabulous, the rooms were clean and the staff was very attentive. We highly recommend this property.

However, we got home to notice that they threw out our bag of laundry... we called and told them the situation and then 2 weeks later they finally told us they will not reimburse us for the clothes we lost (about $1,300 worth of clothes.) Very disappointed. Unless you’re using points, avoid paying for this place, it’s not Ritz quality. We’ve had no hot water our entire stay, the pool isn’t heated and we get lip-service every time we get the ‘engineer’. (E.g. “there’s an issue w/ the boiler room and we will see a difference in 45 mins” and no improvement happens)The rooms are small, there’s no refrigerator for personal use and it has a bathtub shower. On top of that my wife’s sandals were invaded by ants at the hot tub. (That shouldnt happen at a Ritz)If you’re in the area, Sea Island is much nicer and comparably priced, as is the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club. The Omni down the beach is a much better value.

Ok. We expect 5 star treatment at the Ritz. We arrived and checking was fabulous. Leaving that night though was not to great. Went to get our car and they totally forgot about us at valet. It was cold outside and we waited about 20 minutes. Had to ask two more people to get the car. The valet manager discovered what happened and was horrified. She treated us like the royal family. From then on she treated us my name and always had our car up top so we never had to wait. Any place can have problems and the key is how you handle them. She was a rock star. Turned a bad experience into a fabulous experience. Good hire Ritz. Will come back here again and again. Well worth it!

Service extremely underwhelming- we felt like we were staying at a Residence Inn and not a luxury hotel. The staff in all of the outlets: Coast restaurant, in room dining, pool bar, towel service by the beach, etc. Treated us, the guest, like we were inconveniencing THEM by simply availing ourselves of the services offered. It also seemed like they were understaffed because everything seemed to take forever and it there was trash, used glassware in the lobby, and dirty linens all along the hallway on our floor. There was zero attention to detail- for example: my husband made a dinner reservation at Coast in person & when we checked in for our table they didn’t have our reservation, the server took at least 8 minutes to greet us & our food orders were incorrect. We decided to order room service for dessert because the restaurant experience was so bad- but they said they’d have to call us back because they were backed up and when they finally took our order and delivered the dessert- they only brought 2 sets of silverware even though we requested 3 and ordered 3 desserts. Before dinner, my husband went to the pool bar to get a couple of drinks for us before we headed to the beach and nobody acknowledged him until 5 or 6 mins after being there.Down by the beach where they have towels, there were 5 or 6 staff members busy socializing and we had to interrupt their conversations in order to find out about a few towels. They simply said “just help yourself”.I’m conclusion- I DO NOT recommend this property. Save yourselves the $1,000/ night rate and stay elsewhere.Bell service and valet- was the only saving grace!

We stayed at the Ritz for 3-day period as a mini-honeymoon. When we pulled up, the valets opened our doors, grabbed our 1/2 empty McDonalds cups and threw them in the trash, and began getting the bags from the rear while we checked in. The concierge knew it was our honeymoon and got us a room with an ocean view that had rose petals from the threshold to the living room - romantic. We tipped the bellboy generously and he serendipitously found a last-minute reservation for us for Salt - the best restaurant in Amelia Island conveniently located in the hotel. The hotel Spa was beautiful, the massage therapists were capable, and the spa staff were always tidying up and cleaning.Disaster struck our 3rd day when we saw a letter slid under our door from hotel management that a water line had burst that will force the city to shut off the water to the hotel to repair. The lobby was flooded with irritated guests, but the staff were patient and took time to convey the information that had, even the General Manager was in the lobby answering questions - that alone was a welcome surprise. All in all, the staff made the best of a situation that was out of their hands, and were commendable in handling rowdy guests. The only improvements I would like to see is a renovation on the rooms themselves. The fixtures, while clean, looked dated. Thats a cost-cutting measure Ive noticed from other Ritz-Carltons that occurred after the acquisition.

When you travel to a Ritz-Carlton, you expect certain things. You expect that the service will be top shelf, the location will be top shelf, and the amenities will be top shelf. To best explain the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island, you need a brand new level to install a shelf, because top shelf just doesnt describe the service, location and amenities you shall experience. Everyone from Amanda & Nora up front to Brittany and Rachel poolside, to the countless back room support team all work in concert to deliver an amazing on site experience. The restaurants are wonderful as is the in-room dining. The location is a perfect distance from where you want to be and where you want to go. The views, as this picture shows, are perfect. Stayed here for five nights in February 2020 while on vacation with the wife. We used Bonvoy points. The hotel is an easy half hour drive from JAX. We really liked this hotel, in spite of the weather, which was cool during our stay. Upon check in we were offered a choice of a regular king room on a high floor, which is my usual preference, or a renovated first floor king room with a fire table/pit. We chose the fire table. We used the fire table a couple of times and it was nice. The room was very quiet - we didnt hear a thing at night. The Coast restaurant has a counter for take- out items and we stopped here each morning to get coffee, croissants and oatmeal for breakfast - we prefer this to a big, sit-down breakfast. We also ate at Coast for lunch several times. Nice restaurant. Try the excellent fish chowder. We did not eat at Salt. We ate sushi at the lobby bar one night and it was disappointing. The sushi rolls were not great - way too much mayo and goop drowning out the fish. Wifey took several fitness classes and loved them. I did the tennis clinics on Friday, Saturday and Sunday - they were terrific. John Watson is a fabulous tennis instructor - he really helped me - highly recommend. Thanks John! Shout out to the very nice woman at the concierge desk who helped arrange my tennis. We sat out by the pool despite the cool weather and it was nice. Lots of lounge chairs, towels and regular visits from wait staff asking if we needed drinks or food. Will be nicer once they finish construction of the new poolside restaurant next month. The beach is beautiful - so wide and clean. Wifey and I enjoyed walking on the beach - very nice. Bonus: watched a rocket launch from Cape Canaveral one night - awesome. Our room was very nice - very comfortable. Staff throughout the hotel were outstanding - helpful, polite, friendly. You can just tell that this is a very well run hotel with a motivated, well-trained staff. Almost without exception, if a staff member passed me in the hall they smiled and said good morning.. We were constantly offered cold bottles of water all over the hotel - so nice. Really makes a big difference in the guest experience. Great restaurants 15 minutes away in Fernandina Beach. Great hotel.

Exactly what you would expect from a Ritz Carlton hotel. Very nice and upscale hotel with nice little shops and great views. Large pool area if youd rather stay off the beach.

My husband and I did an overnight stay at the Ritz Amelia Island while my inlaws watched our 1 year old son. The entire experience was magical. Our front-desk attendant upon check-in, Deadre, set the bar for a personalized, wonderful experience. It was clear that the staff wanted to do all they can to ensure all our wishes were taken care of. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying there again in the future! While we traveled there as a couple, I was blown away by all the family-friendly activities. Great for all!

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The beaches and grounds were immaculate and very accommodating to our doggies. The shops were fun and we even purchased a very wonderful piece of art or craft. The food was great and timely. The only small gripe, was that the shower was a bit moldy and the furnishings in our suite were a but scarce and old. Small price to pay. Would come again Because the staff, grounds, and interior of resort were five star.

What a fantastic resort!! The shops are fun, the food options are fabulous and the staff are incredible! I have been to only a few places where the staff is so friendly and helpful. This Ritz-Carlton makes you feel like you belong there. It is a great place for conferences and meetings, too.

I read the poor reviews from the last few weeks and still gave this Ritz a chance. Unfortunately I was let down. I can not justify spending this amount for the level of service that was provided. I will spare some of the details but Valet and Coast staff were not friendly, nor did we receive 5 diamond level service in my opinion. Maybe I was expecting more for $750 per night, $29 per day Valet, and $35 in resort fees. From valet telling us to go get our car from the line up (instead of it being pulled around) to being ignored for 10 mins at Coast (we walked out, they seemed a bit stretched at 10:00am on ThursdayOutdoors seating).I was not pleased with the first impression. So, personally I can not return for this level of service vs the price paid.

I found it pricy for a simple hotel room. The service is very good, but I find it shameful, they cannot feed their patrons as dining facilities are very limited space, and few to choose from. So you can stay, but you have to go elseware to eat. Not a very good plan. For the price of admission, I would expect better.

My family completed a week long stay at the Ritz Carlton Amelia Island as the COVID-19 outbreak was taking hold across the country. The staff and management of the hotel provided the excellent service we have come to expect from this hotel during our many visits even though many were facing significant personal hardships as a result of the business impacts from COVID-19. This is a testament to the quality of the staff and management of this hotel.

The property was absolutely beautiful, along with the hotel. It was also great that there are five different options for eating right at the hotel. You essentially do not even need to leave the property if you choose not to.

I recently had to attend a corporate conference at this hotel and I was quite impressed. I dislike being away from home in hotels but this is one I would do again. I highly recommend it. Everything was absolutely fabulous from scenery, to dining, to customer service, and amenities. This would be a nice stay for any occasion. Worth the trip.

While Ive stayed and dined at this property as a local, yesterday when we stopped in to grab a drink and some small bites at the bar, we were turned away. The valet stated that management has been getting on to them about allowing people at the hotel who are not staying on the property or visiting someone on the property. I am guessing this is due to COVID-19 concerns. If youre local, I wouldnt stop in until the pandemic crisis is over as you are not welcome. I give two stars because the valet was honest and graceful, even though he had to do his job and turn us away.

Stayed on property a few months ago and aside from the location, the service and attentiveness were lacking for that of a RC property. Rooms were small and in need of a refreshed look. The feature restaurant, Salt, had a poor showing for dinner, ultimately blowing the whole meal with shaky service and a scallop dish with sand and grit still present. The saving grace is the Lobby Bar, which had excellent service and very good drinks, albeit at a premium price. For this reason only, we decided to return to the property this past Friday to visit the Lobby Bar for some sushi and a cocktail. Unfortunately, we never made it past the confines of our car, as we were greeted by valet with a host of questions about the reason for our visit. When it was determined that we were local residents attempting to patronize the food and drink establishments, we were told that management was not allowing non-hotel guests onto the property. I believe that it is in rather poor taste and very much unlike other RC properties standards that management has delegated this filter of sorts to the valet. No indications of this policy were referenced on the website. It is also somewhat insulting to local residents to shoo us away from the property, claiming COVID concerns, all the while there is a steady stream of guests arriving from all over the country, often from states with extreme levels of positive cases (judging from the license plates we saw at the front entrance, cough cough, New York). You cant have it both ways; you cant claim youre trying to keep people safe by running off locals while you funnel in families of tourists from all corners of the world to your hotel rooms and allow them to co-mingle with one another. As a Marriott elite, I have watched this brand shrivel into a pruned shadow of its former self with each passing year since the Starwood/Marriott merger. This particular property falls under the category of Luxury Only in Price. With that said, congratulations RC Amelia Management, for running off a Platinum elite by shamefully delegating your responsibility of upholding your policies (however nonsensical they may be) to the poor college-aged valet employees. Ill spare them the trouble and be sure to let everyone else who lives on the Island know they arent welcome and neither are their hard-earned dollars.

The service is exceptional, from anticipating our needs to genuine sincerity, it was a nice change from what you typically find in the hospitality industry. For us it is a close getaway and a nice treat with excellent amenities, great golf but most importantly service that is a cut above. We have stayed several times the past few years and we look forward to our return!

The Ritz-Carlton on Amelia Island is beautiful hotel at scenic location offering abundant amenities. The food in restaurants is on the level of some of the best restaurants in the world. All of the amenities are only surpassed by impeccable service from the hotel staff. Unimposing, helpful, graciously kind and very knowledgeable are just a few words I have for everyone: from the bell service, via restaurant and bar, concierge and reception desk, to in-room-dining and housekeeping service. Thank you all. You made my stay an absolutely enjoyable experience and I am looking forward to visiting again.

Great location. When you stay at a place like this you expect to spend some money. This place takes it to a whole new level. Used the cork screw that was sitting on top of a table next to the ice bucket to open a bottle of wine we had been saving to celebrate. Not really thinking much about this action. Placed the cork screw back where I found it and enjoyed the rest of my stay. Found a charge for 8.00-9.00 for corkscrew on the bill. When called asking about the charge laughing as I thought this was a joke. i explained that we didn’t take the corkscrew we simply used it and returned it to its location next to the ice bucket. We were told that this was a legit charge and was no joke. Wow!
