Fargo youth hockey association is a great, community focused organization that provides a quality athletic opportunity to youth interested in hockey in Fargo.Like all hockey associations/programs, it has its successes and challenges but it always strives to improve. Having experience in both Twin Cities and ND hockey programs, the challenges arent unique to Fargo and come with the sport.Im proud of our program and what it adds to our communities and the opportunities it has provided for my children and look forward to many more years of Fargo Youth Hockey!

I have a real issue with the way the Fargo Freeze is running their program this year, particularly at the 10U/Squirt level. I have tried to get my questions answered and my concerns addressed by reaching out to both John Kosobud the hockey director and to Dave Oksendahl the President of the board of directors but unfortunately neither of them has had enough consideration or integrity to respond to me to address my concerns or answer my questions and that is rather disappointing considering the amount of time and money we spend for our child to be involved with this program. I simply cannot recommend Fargo Freeze youth hockey to anyone at this time. I sincerely hope that changes in the near future.

Fargo hockey is a joke! It’s all politics and a complete farce. They need to get someone in there that actually knows how to run a business and not just a bunch of former hockey players. It’s pathetic.

I’ve never seen a tournament draw where two teams come out undefeated...one with the championship and one that doesn’t even get a semifinal.Blowing teams out 10-0 and 9-0 in youth hockey sets a poor example of sportsmanship.Pool play is designed so you play everyone in your pool once to decide who moves on, assign seeding and bracket.Get it together Fargo ~ rigging your own 12 team tournament so you have two Fargo teams (3-0-0 and 2-1-0) in the semifinal playing each other makes your organization look like a joke. Especially when there are two other teams with a perfect 3-0 Record...figure it out.

We are supposed to be in the upcoming squirt international tournament. This organization has terrible communication, and everyone I have spoken to has a bad attitude. They should really model their business after the way the twin cities run their programs. What’s going on in ND?
