I used twisters when i was a kid and my daughter enjoyed going here too.
Miss Pam and Miss Morgan are amazing teachers. Miss Ida at the front desk is very kind and informative. The owner is like a doctor with no bedside manner. Totally rude, mean, disrespectful. If you can get passed his awful attitude and demeanor, the rest of the staff is incredible.Weve switched gyms, but will always be grateful for the teachers. Especially Miss Pam!EDIT: As youll see below he is saying my son was playing unsupervised and I was absorbed with my phone. If anybody would like to see the video (that I am taking of my son, standing within feet of him) where he tells me that my son is a distraction to his athletes please feel free to find me on Facebook! Id love to share it!
My daughter loved ninja (sidekicks) with Coach Noah and Coach Logan. She is now in level 1 gymnastics with Coach Molly and loves it. My husband and I train together with Coach Logan. Over the course of 20 years of training in various places, Logan is the best trainer making workouts unique, challenging, and ever changing. He is knowledgeable and provides workouts that we would not do on our own. Midwest Twisters is very family focused with great classes for kids and personal training for adults.
The staff is very nice and helpful. The only two downfalls are 1.The place smells like a wet dog, but im sure its just stinky feet. 2. You cant watch your child very well (if thats what you want to do) unless they are smaller and right up front. All in all we have a great experience. We are going to continue to go and wish I would have started my child sooner!
I love being a gymnast here im 12 and on level 2 its so fun the coaches are nice and helpful
This place was very fun I definitely advise you to go here!!!!
Birthday party at Midwest twistersWe had our 6 year old daughter’s birthday party on 2/15/15 at Midwest Twisters. We had our concerns scheduling a party at Midwest after the last party we attended when one of the coaches had to run the party instead of a party coordinator. He was terrible with the kids and adults, leaving such a bad impression with us that we specifically asked that he not be involved with our party. Needless to say he was the star of our party by the end and the primary reason for my taking the time to provide a review.Lets not get ahead of ourselves, let me go back to the beginning. Our challenges started with me calling Midwest the day before the party to address my wifes concerns about the front office not having the party set up right. I thought it wasnt possible to screw that up but sure enough we werent on the schedule and we hadnt come by to pay the deposit. Never mind we called back the previous month to confirm after receiving their message and we were assured we did need to come up that night to pay. Of course it broke down from there on both sides.Fast forward to the day of the party and we walked in a few minutes early as the previous party was leaving and apparently they did not feel that it was necessary to clean up after themselves. I know I felt bad for the staff. As our party showed up, it seemed that the one staff member assigned to be our party coordinator was quickly overwhelmed. (We were expecting up to 20 kids and had communicated that in advance). I felt bad for the kids getting put in time out, not because they were not being challenging but because most were not members and used to the rules of the place. Of course when you have kids showing up at staggered times we had quite a few that didnt get the initial briefing on how to play.Overall the party was good although I had to stop recording videos so I could help the kids up to the zip line, again because it seemed understaffed. (Especially since I was under impression parents were allowed to come out and take pics but not to help with the kids.)After the gym play time it was time to have pizza and cake, then move on to presents. With that many kids, as well as presents, we were watching the clock closely to try to keep on time but also not be rude to our guests. I already expected Mf Gruff ( I have other names) to be on us to be out on time but what I never expected was him calling out to everyone in a loud voice that we needed to start packing up. If that wasnt embarrassing enough they starting scrubbing the tables with overwhelming smell from clearer as they tore down chairs and tables as fast as we could send people out.Im a computer guy but also work in business. Ive never (ok last party we were at same guy did similar actions) seen a company work so hard to ensure others do not want to have their birthday party there. I dont think I have to say anything because I think they did a great job turning others away all by themselves. I suspect they are a terrific gymnastics facility and coaching team but I really have to question their business model with the parties. My suggestion is get out of partybusiness and focus on what you must be good at.Lastly, after the party it was time to sign our kids up for gymnastics. As nice as it would be to take our two kids to a hometown “O’Fallon” facility, we opted to drive to next available facility in Belleville instead of taking our business back to Midwest and dealing with their personnel. Certainly a shame.
I think I am going to join
Was amazing
