Love The Bead Place! I come in for inspiration and am never disappointed.I needed yarn during the 2020 stay@home order. Found it on their website on Sunday, had it in my mailbox on Tuesday! Better than Amazon!Abbis YouTube tutorials are great fun, easy to follow and varied. I wholeheartedly recommend The Bead Place!

They have a large inventory of every kind of bead you can imagine. I frequently shop at the larger craft stores for my beads. Im glad I went to the bead place today. They have a few colors and brands I have never seen at Hobby Lobby or Michaels.

Fantastic!! Went to their Friday after hours party and met some warm wonderful women. Different ages, different crafts and no judging. Becky makes u feel like an old friend and even make sure I got to my car safely. Definitely going back

The Bead Place is owned by 2 very knowledgeable and helpful women. The beads run the gammet from handmade originals to sparkling crystals. Its worth checking regularly just for the seasonal accessories! They have project kits for beginners through experts. Older kids could be creatively entertained by making a number of these kits. Workshops cover a variety of techniques and skills. If all else fails, they sell lovely jewelry too.If thats not enough, they have a yarn shop hidden inside. Yarn crafters should make sure to stop in and take a look.Overall, its a clean and well-lit shop with helpful staff. A jewel supporting the local economy. I look forward to shopping there again & will bring friends.

Love the variety of beads and yarns. Prices range below $5 on up. All the extras are also in the store. They also carry yarn. Classes are available, and they will also visit senior facilities for classes.

When I lived there, I went into the store for beading purposes but I saw the beautiful yarn and the finished garments on display and determined in my heart of hearts that I HAD to learn how to knit! Today a few years later and a few states away, I have learned how to knit through Craftsy (Bluprint) and YouTube, and I LOVE it. I have knitted scarves, shawls a humongous throw using Bernat Blanket Big yarn and now I am working on learning how to knit socks. It feels good to see the finished project and be able to wear it with pride. This place planted the seeds of my wanting to learn how to knit.

This is the perfect place if youre looking for gorgeous and unique yarn! I went there for Small Business Saturday after Black Friday and it was TOTALLY worth it. The staff are friendly and inviting, and theyre ready and willing to answer any questions you gave regarding yarn, beads, and thread.

Fantastic experience today learning to make a spinner ring! Great instructors, extremely organized for a class of 7 with most of them being newbies.

Last time I was there they had a very large selection of beads and needs to create jewelry and any type of bead work. Small but nice selection of yarns. Ladies who own the store very friendly and helpful.

Great store for yarn and knitting supplies AND beads and bead supplies!!!! Hannah is wonderful and doesnt push customers to always buy the most expensive supplies. I just wanted to look initially no pushing... It was a great experience overall. I even attended the weekly knitting group...very nice people.Would highly recommend The Bead Place!

Because its a pretty good distance away I only seem to get here for the annual summer yarn crawl. However, its a terrific shop! Friendly and knowledgeable staff and great selection of both yarn and beads.

I love this place. The people who work there are incredibly nice and exceptionally helpful. They have everything you need to make your own jewelry, or you can purchase their beautiful, one of a kind pieces. They also have a great selection of yarn.

I shop the Bead Place on occasion for projects that I do from time to time. It has been my first place to hit when looking for something. Not anymore. I had a necklace project I was doing and the sales girl suggested a 100ct, tiny, jewelry-type ziplock, easily opened package of silver rings as spacers. (She even mentioned that many times she gets into a project and rearranges the components as we were discussing the project.) She never said anything about not taking returns and, I did not notice any signs saying all sales final. This bag cost $12 and I used one as it turned out. They, two salesgirls and the owner, would not give me a refund.They said they do not give refunds. That this is standard practice for the bead industry. I said I did not see any signs that tell a customer that and, they said there are no all-sales-final signs by the register or in the bead room. But, there are signs to that effect in the yarn section in the other room. I have never gone in the yarn section so it doesnt help me too much. She also explained that this is standard practice in the bead industry. Also, doesnt help me, the customer, too much. I am a customer not in the industry. And if it is standard practice in the bead industry, why are the signs solely in the yarn section? Also, they have classes. Are they suggesting they dont take the components they use in class from their store inventory? Isnt the purpose of the classes to promote sales of their inventory? My complaint is first off, why would I even think that there were no returns if there were no signs, nothing on the receipt and, the salesperson does not tell me? Since it is good business practice to suggest items, alternatives and ideas, they should take returns. And counting the bag twice took me all of 4 minutes and that includes pouring it into the bag. And guess what, there were only 97 not 99. So much for actually worrying about the accuracy of the count! Great customer service. Standard practices does not mean good practices and; standard practices aside, they are a retail business and customer service is the key.

Beautiful and diverse yarn selection, including a few small dye crafters. I came for the yarn crawl, and wound up getting beads and buttons!

I went there to buy yarn for someone else. The staff was super helpful and directed me to the type of yarn I was looking for. They gave helpful recommendations that I really appreciate! I will definitely be going back for some yarn for myself soon!

The owners and staff are amazing at the Beadplace! super helpful and knowledgeable about their products. if you want to make a diy project you can sit in the shop and allow the creative juices to flow, they even let you borrow their tools. they are always looking at trends and creating new and amazing kits to fuel your need to bead or knit what ever the case may be. they offer free workshops on the last Saturday of the month, just buy the kit and you walk out with a new skill and something beautiful and sparkly!

I love this store. I come from Springfield, il just to shop there. Im a knitter and their variety of fibers is super. Plus Abbey and her staff are always so nice and knowledgeable.She has THE BEST selection of knitting needles and crochet hooks.The store is huge. Look in every room or you will miss out.The selection of beads is better than are anywhere else Ive been. If you are into Swarovski, you will be in heaven. None else can compare.
