This place is so worth the trip. It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve been to. The colors of the tree leaves were amazing nothing like this in Florida. A great place for families to hangout or to spend time with your special someone. I even saw a woman walking her cat on a leash..lol I wish I had taken a picture for you guys.

This place was just beautiful!!! Its small and sweet but just beautiful. It has history and beauty, small waterfalls rapids and its an amazing spot for senior pictures, wedding, engagement, etc. Go check it out! Oh there is a tree you can stand in

Wonderful northern WV waterfall complex. Plenty of parking. Hiking the Rhodendrum trail is excellent as well. If you go far enough, there is a fork up the Gladys creek trail which is nice as well.

Within not too far of a drive from Morgantown and WVU, through the country and woods, Valley Falls is a great place to hang out, explore nature, and either gather with friends or spend time alone. The river and falls are picturesque, with numerous viewing points and benches. Multiple trails provide opportunities to visit the woods, while picnic shelters and tables are great for families.

Great trails to explore. We did a clockwise loop of the park beginning at the parking lot near the falls. First half included a demanding ascent, but the walk back down was beautiful. Probably gorgeous in the fall!

I have been in the area almost 5 years now and I have no idea how this is the first time I am visit Valley Falls State Park. I will definitely be spending more time here. There are great views and great trails to hike and bike!

Well marked trails it’s not easy to get lost. The trails are not muddy at all. Pants are recommended as there is a trail with thick vegetations. Met a few raccoons and squirrels along the way.

Beautiful state park with lots of parking and easy access hikes. Lots of picnic tables. Plenty parking.

My granddaughter and I really like going to this park. So relaxing. I give it 5 stars. My only complaint is the picnic tables are getting quite shabby. There are a lot of them. But not in the best of shape.

This is a wonder place for many activities. Hiking, biking and kayaking. Beautiful spot for pictures and to observe natures beauty.

Great trails! Loved the falls! It helped that we had an absolutely perfect day for hiking. The only suggestion would be to better mark the trail from the Dogwood Trail to Red Fox Trail. You need to go around the gate that says Do Not Enter. Follow along the woods to the left until you come to the road. Look to the right and you will see the Orange marker for Red Fox Trail. We went on Wild Turkey Trail for a short time and just knew we were not where we wanted to be.

Great place for a quick getaway for the day. Never crowded, beautiful and fun for the boys, adults and seniors. Even though the boys are too daring on the rocks around the falls for their parents.

This park is so cool ! A must see. I did not get to explore as much as I wanted because it was July 4 and over 100 degrees. Did get to see a beautiful waterfall and a train running right through the park. It was a cool ride around a little lajlke getting there too. If you are in the area go check it out ! You will be glad you did.

Beautiful surroundings, access from the parking lot it’s easy so is great for all the family. They have restrooms and vending machines. The park is very clean… Probably the best time is during the week so you can avoid the crowd. Nice place for a picnic they have a lot of good spots.

Absolutely gorgeous. Its a great spot to visit for all ages. There are multiple benches and walking trails that range from flat straight paths to more difficult paths. Beautiful area, could spend an entire day and without completeing all the trails. My kids (girl- 11years old and boy-7 years) both absolutely loved it.

Its really an amazing gem in Marion County. Ive lived in Fairmont for about 8 years and never even knew it was only 14 miles from my house. There is a ton of exploring to do and so many accommodations for picnics and family gatherings. My husband and I will make this our quick adventure trip place. Im in love with the park.

This was my first time ever going to the park. It was very well maintained and clean. The falls are absolutely beautiful.

Came down here to see the Waterfalls and they are truly MAGNIFICENT. Park very well kept and maintained. Be careful walking along the rivers edge as I slipped into a old hole foundation from the old mill.

Nice place to enjoy with the family, and there’s a play ground for the kids. It’s not suitable for swimming because of the strong currents.

This place is breathtakingly beautiful. There are tons of trails here to explore. Along with public restrooms and plenty of picnic tables. I will definitely be going back.

Lovely place for a visit or a hike, many peaceful options because its rarely crowded. Some kids play equipment, easy access to an overlook by the river. But no swimming. Trails are rocky and steep, usually free of crowds.

Great little park! FYI I wouldnt recommend pulling a camper/trailer or even having a large vehicle! Its definitely off the beaten path with a narrow road to get there. Beautiful falls and nice hiking tho!

Ive been coming here since I was a kid. I came home to visit from Florida and its the one place I had to go. Nature is beautiful!

My first time going to a hiking trail in WV and I really liked it. My wife and I ended walking by the train trails it was nice, bathrooms werent open when we went I am assuming it because of the winter and as you can see was cloudy and it was snowing when we started our walk but other than that, the place was beautiful. We cant wait to go back during the summer.Update...September 2019I went back again, with a friend. I was amazed by the beauty of this place. Highly recommend it to anyone.

We been there twice now. Very easy to get to. You can fish up stream from the falls. My son caught 3 small bass.

This place is gorgeous! A perfect place for photographs and hiking! You are prohibited from entering the water and every time I have been there it has been pretty monitored but it is an absolute must if you like natural beauty.

A riverside Park with picnic tables and bathrooms (closed in winter), this was part of a quick day trip with friends. Historical plaque was informative; always interesting to see another bit of our vanishing history still weathering the years.Good for a break or family outing, or scholars of river industry in the Virginias.

Not too many frills here, but the waterfalls are breathtaking! There is a decent playground for kids, and the restrooms were nice and clean. At least one pavilion and lots of benches and tables. A really quite and enjoyable destination. I look forward to checking out some trails next time.
