The mini golf is unsafe and unplayable. Do not spend money on this course.

It was an awesome place to take kids. It went bankrupt and closed last year

I went there a few months ago for a field trip. One of the staff members were rude to me and my friends and they stole my friends money when she asked for change. It was also hot in there but they did have cool drinks to cool you off. Laser tag was great and bowling was good, but very poor customer service.

RIP this place wasnt great, but what did work was fun.

45 years in operation and now they have to close. I cant even imagine the number of birthday parties they have hosted over the years, but imagine it is over 10,000. That is a lot of wonderful childhood memories. It is sad that places like this and Skate World have gone out of business, and an increasing number of stores at the mall are also either hooking out of business or closing their doors in the area. Makes me wonder what kind of business that caters to youth or young adults can survive in a small rural area?

We just went there yesterday for my kids awards ceremony. It was so much fun! I read some of the other reviews on here and I guess they have made some serious improvements because I didnt see any of those problems. It was clean, well maintained, all the rides worked and most of the video games too. (A couple took our coins, but thats normal anywhere) I was also pleased with how many coins I could get for $5. Basically a coin equals a quarter, so I was able to give my 2 oldest 7 coins and my baby had 6 in case he saw something he liked. They rode rides the whole time and it turned out to be just the right amount for a well rounded experience.The workers were even sweet and friendly with my kids when explaining what kinds of prizes they could choose from with their tickets.Honestly the only bad thing about the night was the classic splitting headache I got from the noise of all the kids squealing with laughter. Totally worth it.

I loved every single moment I spent there. its a lovely place no its not perfect but it is incredibly fun and creates amazing memories. I recommend it!!!!!!

I had a great time with my son and family. I realize that this is the last hurrah was kind of sad when we left . I hope someone buys it and puts some TLC back into it ! North Central West Virginia needs a nice place for families to have fun!!!

Great place. My only complaint is that not all of the games worked. Other than that I and everyone else had a lot of fun.

Its been closed for probably 2 yrs now

First round of laser tag was great, the staff is awesome and the building was definitely big enough for a 12 man war. However they only had 12 guns and mine at the end of the first round shut off and didnt turn back on. I had to sit out a round. After that, I traded with another player who wanted to sit out. The gun I had didnt even work. I think they need to upgrade their equipment or fix what they have and it wouldve been a better time for me and my friends.

Today was the first time we have been to Valley Worlds of Fun in years. It def isnt like it used to be. The bowling lanes arent the best at all. The outside attractions were up & going but the workers acted like they didnt want to do their jobs. One girl actually complained about having to assist my niece & I at the water boats(after we waited over 5 minutes for her to come). Then she proceeded to complain about my boys wanting to climb the wall. They need some workers who are actually happy to do their job in assisting families that are there to have a good time. The putt putt golf course is horrible. All torn up. Not impressed at all. My family wont be going back anytime soon.

Big improvement with the new management. Great new video games all in working order. Everything was in great working order. Theyve added archery tag. Most of all the upbeat staff with great customer service made it a wonderful experience for my sons birthday party. We went to Dave & Busters in Pittsburgh the last few years and I can honestly say the kids had more fun at Valley Worlds of Fun this year than they did at D&Bs. It was a great value. Well be going back much more often.

Falling apart. They have a lot of interesting features and a good amount of games, but the place is dingy and dungunous. The crew was skeleton at best and the party rooms where poorly lit and dirty. The bowling was fun, but we got the bad luck to her a lane that broke down at least once a game. Maybe things get better in the summer, but for the winter activities, I would go somewhere else.

We had a kids birthday party here...it was awesome! The was friendly and helpful. The inside was very hot and stuffy but other than that...its a great place to let you kids cut loose and have a good time!

Loved this place!!

The hottest place on earth. No working AC. They just have fans and hope for the best. The water I bought was warm. The parking lot has trash everywhere and just in bad condition anyway. We went because we remember going to the place during school field trips and Im honestly glad its closing down. Emplyees were nice but if you chatted to them then you would learn how the owner refused to replace thing or do maintenance. Just overall a bad time but the employees were nice and laser tag was fun even though it has buggy equipment.

Love that place! Owners and staff are very friendly and kids have so much fun every time! Cant beat the price for all the fun activities they offer.

This place is showing its age, and it is very hot (AC issues), but it offers a lot for the price. Very nice game room with lots of prizes. A few small rides inside, that seemed to be fairly well maintained. Archery Tag and Knockerball was nice, but they require a 5 minute wait between games. Outside facility was really showing its age, but still fun for the kids. Food was good and they provided free ice water to all the guest. Laser Tag was big enough to have fun, but small enough for us out of shape parents to keep up with the kids.If you can ignore the heat and aging equipment, this is a excellent stop. Dont expect Disneyland style equipment and you will be impressed.

Great that young children get to ride and not be upset their siblings get to go. my 5 yr old loves the rice that drops them down.

I would give it no stars if I could there is no air so it was 110° inside half the stuff doesnt work. I feel sorry for the workers and they only get minimum wage the 45 minutes we were there it wasnt fun my kid face was beat red soaken with sweat and left with a heat head ache

I went there Friday with a group of friends, were college kids and dont complain about much. The staff was friendly to us and accommodated our large group for archery tag & laser tag. The only complaints I have was the guy that was at the bowling counter. We said we had a large group & put us all on one lane but then realized that putting a group of 8 on one lane was not a good idea and eventually opened another lane for us but this lane all the balls kept getting stuck in the back. Also, there was no AC in the place so it was sweltering in there. Other than that it was an overall good experience.

Heres a fun games to play while youre there, count how many times you see an employee smiling. We were there 8 hours and got to 4. Many of the games and rides are in disrepair. laser tag works great, but they dont actually do missions, its just a free for all.

It was okay. Not great. There seemed to be a lot of things out of order and the big bounce slides are gone and replaced with one small bounce house for kids under 6. (we had a six and eight year old with us.) she couldnt go in the house and he couldnt ride bumper cars with her. Lazer tag was fun though. And, who doesnt love cashing in tickets for pieces of gum and parachute men.

I’m only giving it one star because that’s required. I don’t like to give bad reviews, but this was literally the worst place I’ve ever been to. Not only is it pricey but it’s not worth paying any amount to go to. Half the rides were broken and out of order, and more than half the arcade machines were broken or out of order. Coins were eaten and it didn’t print tickets, the ticket counter broke numerous time while we were in line. Only two TVs worked in the entire bowling section, our lane was braking down every couple turns. I would not recommend this place to anyone, nor will I ever be back.

The idea is great. The main ride inside was shutdown and parts of the rides were busted. Its dirty and employees were the caliber of carnival workers

Dont waste your money. Half of the games dont work and our bowling game turned off halfway and couldnt be reset. All three prizes my son won with his tickets were broken when we opened them

My kids love coming here. The food is a little over priced but its no different than any other themed fun place for kids. My son had a birthday party there and he loved it. People were great, organized and kept things moving. I gave it 3 stars because its an older facility and it shows. Its expensive to have a party (you pay for each child to have a band, about $15). The party rooms are small and depending on the weather or season, or just because, the outside attractions arent open.

The employees are awful. 5 employees talking to each other and not one comes over to operate a ride. The arcade is over priced $1-2 to play a game and $15 for a wristband to ride maybe 2 rides if the employees feel like getting to it. Go to Chuck E. Cheese, spend a quarter of the money and none of the hassle. Awful experience and rude staff.

Not much to do inside and some of the games were broken. May try again during summer.

Children young and old loves this place, has bowling, laser tag, rock climbing wall, and carnival rides inside.

Valley Worlds of Fun??? They shouldve named it Valley Worlds of CRAP!!! Admission price of a Fun Pass is what will attract you most to this money pit but dont be fooled because the $15/person admission fee covers: one game of bowling (best part of the entire place), one round of laser tag (not worth the 30 minute wait to get in), all indoor rides (only inflatable slide, miniature bumper cars, and 2 spinning rides for small children only), and access to the arcade, if you want to call it such. All the arcade games are either labeled Out of Order or need to be. If youre lucky enough to find a game that is turned on, youre most likely about to get your tokens eaten with nothing to show for it and no game to be played. This place will leave you wanting a refund

I had to spend a few days in Fairmont, WV for a business trip so I decided to take my wife and two children (ages 5 and 3) along for a mini vacation. We decided to spend an extra night and visit Valley Worlds of Fun. A more proper name might be Valley Worlds of Dud!Upon arriving at opening time, paying for a whole day of fun, we were unable to do anything for 30-60 minutes because the activities werent even open.We decided to use some of our tokens to play a few of the games. Most games didnt even work and those that did work didnt give the children tickets for winning!Only one ride opened up outside and for the rides inside, we had to wait for quite a while for someone to come and allow the children on.We visited the blow up slide 3 times and each time there was a different person operating the ride...each telling us something different. First time, we had to enter the ride with our 3 year old. Second time we had to enter the ride with our 3 year old AND remove our shoes. Third we we were told we could come into the ride area, but could not get close to the ride, and needed to leave our shoes on.So we decided to try the bowling. The TV screen on the first lane we were given did not work after entering all of our information. Nothing worked on the second lane we were given. Bumpers didnt work on the third lane we were given. We finally gave up and left before the game was completed!I think the whole idea of this park is a great idea, but with the prices that they charge, a family should be able to do something once they arrive!

I understand that this place is closing, so alot of broken games and such. Paddle boats are completely shut down, which shouldve been posted on their website..but the biggest problem we had- no air conditioner AT ALL! We drove almost 2 hours to visit, and its so hot and miserable, we left after 30 mins. They have a few huge industrial fans in some corners, but its way to miserable to do anything inside..the activities themselves were ok, for younger kids, but it was just way too hot and stuffy to stay. Point is, they shouldve posted exactly what was broken/closed so people dont drive long distances to visit their establishment. Unless you like 103° hot,stuffy,muggy closed spaces, this place is not for you!

Terrible. I took my 3 year old twins there the only thing they can really do play in the bounce house. Waited in line for 20 mins for an attendant to open the gate and then she told us we only had 5_mins to play. We just left after that. Would not recommend wasting your money there

This place used to be a fun place to go back in the late 80s to mid-late 90s. Now its like an old run down Chucky Cheese. I would say that only about 60% of their arcade games was working. Half of those that worked was ticket games that was out of or said they was low on tickets. I understand that I got their 15 min after they opened, but seeing 7 young employees hanging around laughing and talking around the front counter took 5 minutes before one of they asked if they could help me. After spending more time getting someone to do their job and put tickets in the machines (which should have had all been done before or at opening) my kids was playing. We tried to bowl I say again tried every other frame either a pin or the ball got stuck. Finally they moved us to another lane which was the same thing. I got my money back and left to never return. With all the problems I had I would be afraid to let my kids ride or do anything else. What should have been a fun time spend with the family ended the moment we walked in their doors.

No a.c. what so ever, games broken, staff was never around when needed but were quick with attitudes when they were. My friend booked the place for her childs party and wasnt told about the no a.c.. She was told they were not allowed to inform ppl the a.c. was broken because ppl wouldnt book parties. The pizza was nasty but the fries and chicken strips were ok. Just a tad greasy. It was very dark and dingy. It just needs air and cleaned up and maybe it would be worth it.

A place that is ran down, the kids still have fun so I guess thats what counts but in major need of some renovations.

It looks like this place hasnt had maintenence since the 90s. Their mini golf course is a disaster with ripped felt or just plain missing felt from most of the holes. Bowling was disgusting as every bowling ball was sticky. Most of staff looks and acts like they dont want to be there and its pretty understandable why. The facility also had no air conditioning and was only about 5 degrees cooler than it was outside when it was about 85. I feel like this place gets by with it because it has no competition. Unless you have small children and dont care about putting them in a dirty and poorly maintained attraction Id stay away

Called in advance to make sure outside rides were working and they said all except the boat ride were so I took my 2 teens there at noon and they were ready to leave by 2:00 p.m. due to outside rides not operating and new policy were you only get one game of laser tag. Expensive couple of hours. I ask if they were refunding partial due to wrong info and non operation of outside rides and they said no.

Good pricing and fun activities. Bowling is the best attraction there and the games are cheap

Worst amusement park in WV. Where do I even start. First off, the pizza there is soooooo awful! It tastes like garbage. Next, they added times that you can ride so you can only ride them at that time! Dont Go here!! Waste of time and money! Valley worlds of fun? More like valley worlds of Dumb!

Imagine chuckie cheeses. Now imagine all of the rides/machines not working. Now imagine the worst food that youve ever eaten. Now imagine the worst customer service youve ever experienced. Combine that all together and youve got Valley Worlds of Fun. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

Its okay when things are working. Most of the time, more than half of the arcade machines are in need of service of some sort. Its about time the owners reinvest some money into upgrades. And all of those comments about the pizza? Yes, its terrible! Eat somewhere else.

After my 5 yr old daughter was riding the rabbit, the woman worker opened the gait, pointed, and yelled out for my daughter which made my daughter nervous and scared her. After we went out to eat and came back, the same woman worker said, smile or you cant go in to my daughter. I felt this was also inappropriate being as my daughter was already nervous from last time. Im very disappointed . she should lose her job.

I dont know any children that dont love this place. The staff was very courteous and helpful.

The negative reviews of this place are justified to a certain extent. However, if you want to have fun you can. If you want to whine, complain, and compare this to high dollar fun centers in major metropolitan areas you can do that as well. My 13 year old daughter and I were entertained for 5 hours for $36.00. Yes, an outside ride was closed, some arcade games were not operating and yes this place clearly struggles. On the day we went there was plenty to do, a reasonable staff and very low crowds (I probably have internet reviews to thank for that). I cannot comment on the food, we took a trip to Pokey Dot.If you come with reasonable expectations, a realization you are in Fairmont, WV and are thankful this place exists at all, you should get your moneys worth.

Very much in need of far better management. Yes, you can have fun there, but not so much as you could if the rides all worked, if the machines all worked, and you werent tracking down employees willing to help you with the many machines that either took your money, didnt give you tickets, or both, while your child wonders why they cant play or ride the machines they want to play or ride.Then when you order food, good luck getting it, without some attitude from the staff, when you, gasp, ask for what you ordered.Complaints to the management or even the owner leave you with the realization that they could care less about your complaints or whether or not you have fun. People come, people pay our price, and we dont seem like we care about anything else.Save your money, and wait til Kennywood or Idlewild opens up. Youll spend as much time driving up to Pittsburgh or Ligonier and back as you will trying to get defective equipment and employees to work, and youll have a much better time.

We have been several times and it seems everytime we go the workers all have an attitude.. If you dont like working with tons of little kids.. find a new job.. I even watched one worker put his finger to his head like a gun and and insinutate that he wanted to blow his head off cause he was so disgusted with where he was working.. This is the type of people working in a supposed kid friendly arcade. Posting one star caus ei had to to make this post otherwise it would be zero.

Where do I even start? Went with friends for my 23rd birthday to have a little fun. Hadnt been there since I was about 12 and it has definitely changed and basically ruined my whole day. The workers had attitudes for zero reasons after trying to be nice. At the archery part in the big part of the activity room the worker didnt even tell us how to do it and then was like oh yeah there are balls that you can hit I guess I can put them up for you. There was workers just either walking around or playing games like guitar hero. I watch one worker give another worker a cup full of coins just to play. The food was awful,had the nachos and cheese and the chips were so stale and the chili on the side was questionable. Wish I had read the comments on here before going back hoping it was still in worming condition. The min putt putt was torn all apart from start to finish. From it just looking like trash and rips in the golf tarp and the brick boarders were broken or just completely not along the boarder. Everything just looked very sad in general which was upsetting. I did get to use the water bumper cars considering I never got to use them when I was younger I was really happy to do it even though the one I had barely worked. The staff didnt have any help to offer ofcourse. Half the arcade games did not work. The prizes wouldnt even be worth taking my kid there if I had one. Easily could buy all the items at a dollar general and I made that very clear while I was there. The worker tried to get us by not giving us enough pixy sticks and yes thats the only thING that was even worth getting with our tickets. The worker had an attitude problem and was VERY rude! Totally uncalled for. Like other people said do not waste your time or money. It definitely ruined my whole childhood going there and seeing it so rundown. I managed to get what I assume to be was a manager to tell me what happend to it, he did not want to tell me but I didnt give him an option and he said the owner was in debt and didnt use their money wisely so nothing was being taken care of. He also said that they should be getting help and revamping it and I really hope that is true because it deserves to look as wonderful as it did when I was little and walked inside the fun land. These kids these days have nothing to do and here they are taking something amazing they brought to the community and letting it fall apart with 20 workers that walk around,play games, eat,stand around and Tottaly ignore theor customers. I wish I could just buy it and make it better honestly.bring it back for the kids!! They did redo the whole laser room and Ill give them that it was nice and fun to do. Again though the workers attitude pushed my buttons too far. Ill most likely never go back ever again and thats upsetting for me to have to say =[

Even though they were getting ready to close they should have at least had more rides open because they only had two rides open that the kids could ride and the laser tag and about half of the games worked. They even did away with the air conditioning.

Sucks! Cannot pay for more than one round of bowling at a time and they only have 5 lanes that the scoring works! Even the attendant told us to go elsewhere! Ended up getting a refund but a ridiculous waste of time.

Great place for kids!

We rented a car and drove 88 miles for the bumper boats which were closed. It was 98 degrees outside and hotter inside. My wife had to take our infant outside because she was showing signs of heat stroke. Never going back.
