Parking was closed due to COVID-19. People just parked along the street. Seems pretty silly since we were all just as close. Very easy to stay 6 ft away either way.
This is a great park! Best to go during the week if you can, otherwise get in early on the weekend. Usually the lot fills up quickly.
Beautiful well marked clean trails and very friendly rangers. The scenery is gorgeous and has various levels of difficulty. There are a couple lakes for fishing, a cave for exploring, large rock garden to hike on that give a spectacular view of the floor bed of the valley below, benches strewn throughout to rest, cattle meandering, lots of wildlife to enjoy and much more. People hike, run, ride their mountain bikes, walk their dogs, go on picnics, fish, or come to just enjoy nature. No parking fee but it costs a few dollars to come in or a seasonal pass if you decide to come back often. There are discounts for seniors.NOTE: 1. LOCK all valuables out of site as there are no rangers stationed at the parking lot.2. RATTLESNAKES- stay on the trails. They are at Rockville so pay attention. They like sun, rocks, crevices, etc.3. WATER- Bring with you as there is no drinking water available.4. DOGS- They cannot go into the water. (Due to sheep.)5. POISON IVY & OAK- Again, stay on the trails. You dont want to ruin a good day.ENJOY! ITS A FABULOUS PLACE TO VISIT.
Too small for the amount of people wanting to go hike there.
Been coming since I was a kid even planted some of the trees in front as a cub scout in the 80s lol great park steep trails
Come early on nice days!
Wish qr code was up to date and had all trail names and trails.
Great outdoors! Beautiful wildflowers, great mountain biking for all levels. Easy parking. Reasonable price.
Parking was full by 9:30am on a day threatening to rain. We parked on the shoulder of the road, hiked a few hours, and returned to an undisturbed car.
This place is great! Unfortunately, some of the patrons are unworthy of the experience. It would be helpful if the police would make an appearance or two every month to remind people that enforcement exists.
Multitude of trails in this park from green to technical black diamond. Something for everybody! Perfect if you want to start out mountain biking or just hiking with yourself or with company. Ive even spotted some fisherman if thats your thing.
I love this place. Ive lived in the area all of my life and I never get tired of how well kept the park is and how diverse the plant and wild life can be. Plenty of Red tail hawks and great terrain for trail running.
If you go around mid-day, parking is great! Nice park, lots of wildlife.
Rockville is a beautiful park. For as many people are always there you can always find a secluded area to yourself.
Fun and free parking. Just had to pay $3 to go in.
Rockville Park? Do you want good mountain biking? Do you want good trails? I cant think of a better $2 entry fee that I have ever spent anywhere.
Groovy spot. A bunch of cows are hidden out there
Oasis in the middle of the city. You gotta pay though.
A great park for hiking and trail biking, with a small pond and lake. Ive been trail running, biking, and hiking here for the last ten years and the usage has increased greatly but never seems crowded.
Charge is not for parking but for park entry pass you carry with you to show the rangers inside. No need to park on the street
Great place when your not getting run over by the mountain bikers
This was a really nice park for a walking hike or biking. The rains has it a bit muddy in areas and damp. Fun place to clear your head with fresh air!
One. Of the nice park I went to go mountain biking
Well marked mountain biking and walking trails, only one bathroom, small parking lot, $3 single person fee.
A lot of fun trails I mainly ride xc and it is surprisingly technical in sections. Takes a couple of visits to figure out how all the trails connect!
Small lot, small fee for use Great access to many trails
At the right time..lots of parking...otherwise not so much
Nice park, just be sure to bring cash or card to pay for an access ticket at the machine at the gate.
Great hiking and Mountain bike park. $3 for entrance to the park. Parking is FREE. Mostly XC trails theres a rock garden for trail bikes- all mountain bikes.
Great place to get hurt! Dont head here if its over 90°, heat stroke sucks.
Clean, good location but too small.
Do not forget your Park pass!
It took me months to find all of the trails here. This is a really pretty park.
Great mix of trails
Fairfield hidden diamond. Great place to visit.
Great workouts hiking trails
Great hikes for whole family.
Nice bike trail
Awesome place for a trail run, hike or mtb.
Great hiking trails, views from atop and under the cliffs and giant boulders, trails lined with Manzanita trees, a small lake for fishing, and a pond that sometimes fills up whenever California gets some rain. If youre a Fairfield local, you can get a 6-month residential family pass for a great low price and use the park with your family as many times as you want. The park is closed sometimes when it gets really hot and dry in the summertime because of the extreme fire danger. Fall and Winter are best seasons to go for trekking around. Spring is great if you dont have bad hay fever/allergies because of the colorful wildflowers that spring up all over the park.
Really full. Many people parked on the street.
Love it
My dog and I love this place!
Great MTB park
Fun ride, some real challenging rock gardens
Great MTB trail. More technical than I anticipated.
Get here early. Parking runs out fast.
Parking was there like it said it was.
Had a great ride. Trails are well maintained.
A wonderful place to hike. You could come here 10 times and hike to somewhere new.
Good lot, but small for the number of people that use the park.
Dope and beautiful view
Pay to use park. If I recall it was $3 per person and $1 per dog. Charmanders spawn here.
Parking is limited. Street parking is available
Great trails wear a helmet
Easy kid friendly trail.
