I attended an awards ceremony here and it was an excellent venue. There was a very nice reception in the lobby area. The seating and acoustics inside the performance area were excellent. We have also attended a theatrical performance in the past and had a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend coming here for a variety of events.

The performance itself we saw was very nice (Moscow Ballet Great Russian Nutcracker), but the venue itself is really lacking in real ambiance and character. The theater is nothing special and lacks both an orchestra pit and box seating. The stage is also small and overall a bit dingy feeling, however they charged a very high premium price for the seats that are almost as expensive as the Kennedy Center - definitely not worth that price. Also seemed to play a price game online - showed only a few seats left weeks ago, but as it got closer unavailable seats became available (still very limited), however at the performance the theater was only half full. Last thing, their paid parking was a real cluster as well, they need to do better direction and traffic management. The Hylton Performing Arts Center is a better value & much nicer venue if not the Kennedy Center.

Enjoyed a Christmas performance at the George Mason University Center for the Arts. Easy access parking for free with just a little walk beside the pond or paid parking right next to the Art Center.Prices AR really good especially if theres performances you can bring children with. Traffic was minimum.

This place has great concerts and local events of all sorts.Whats really cool is that Mason students can get 2 tickets for free for most perfomances. If not free then still you recieve tickets at a reduced cost for around $15/20.Usually you can find all the events advertised online on mymason website.

We attended a concert by the Tuba Euphonium Ensemble in the de Laski Center for the Performing Arts. Nice concert! Parking was available but a bit of a hike (we parked in an open lot, not the parking garage that costs money). You do need to avoid the construction areas though. Before the concert and before the sun went down we strolled along the main quadrangle and took pictures of Georges statue. A nice evening.

They had very good crowd control. However, their signage and/or online information about the parking situation and the lack of drink line control needs some assistance. Sorry. You all are awesome!!!I had an amazing time. I dont let the details bother me.I know others are...of another opinion. It was great and I appreciate the local PD and associated and non-associated staff for their time and fine work during this busy time.

The campus is beautiful! The Arts Center is spacious. I took 70 first graders to see the play, Dragons Love Tacos. The staff was very accommodating. We were able to fit in two rows and have a great view of the stage, even with people in front of us. I will admit that parking in the visitor lot was a challenge with that many young children. It was about a 7 minute walk. College students are not as patient with little legs and small children are intrigued with the sights and sounds of a college campus that make it hard to move much faster.

Their shows are of very high caliber. Combined with great acoustics, friendly personnel and easy parking it is always a great pleasure to visit the center for the arts. Our 6 yo daughter enjoys shows from the new family friendly series as well as some of the plays and operas we go to. Being a Center for Art, it has lots of wonderful and imaginative paintings and sculptures. The entrance is big and inviting and you are greeted by a directory next to the entrance showing the location of all the rooms. There is also a large room near the entrance solely for artist installations that change periodically and are (mostly) free.

I went to see Shen Yun.Parking was easy to find and the theater was a short walk. The school police officers managed traffic neatly. There was Honestly seating some very one crowded in the main entry until it was a mass of bodies. They finally let us in.Seating has a good view but narrow isles make it a tight fit to move around. The rows are some 40 seats long so you bump into a lot of people.Bathrooms are on each level but how they will supply all the theater goers with five stalls a level is beyond me.The usher said that no one is allowed in after the show starts. That was a lie. Late comers were allowed in. I do not min d that people are late. I mind the usher saying that youd not be allowed in. I assume it was a way to discourage people moving in and out.

Traffic control getting into the parking garage is disorganized. Took us 30 mins to go 100 yards. No signage in parking garage as to where to go to get to theater. Theater rows are so close that you have to walk over peoples legs to get to your seat if you are in the middle of the row. Visibility of stage was good. The entrance /exit to row DD second level is awkward and Im sure difficult for a lady in heels or an elderly person.

Weve enjoyed a lot of concerts here. Most recently the Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra with New York Voices. This weekend well see Danu for St. Patricks Day!. Convenient to most of Fairfax County, with good access off a few main roads. Parking is available. Free a block or two away, OK if the weather is nice; and immediately adjacent is the Mason Deck Parking garage. Currently $8 for most evening concerts. The facility itself is OK, but could do with a refresh. Weve recently been to the new concert venues at James Madison University and Virginia Tech, and there is no comparison with these (much newer) facilities.
