Every staff member is the best, I 10/10 recommend going to this gym. All coaches treat the kids as their own. I cheer there and my tumbling has improved by so much and I want to thank them for that.

We just finished our second season at ACA. My daughter has improved in her tumbling, jumps and stunts tremendously due to this program. My daughter lives and breaths cheer. She would live at the gym if we let her. She loves her coaches and her team. She’s made friendships I hope will last for a long time. This gym has really made us feel like family. We have literally lived all over the world and my daughter has never been so engaged in anything like she is with this program. Rachel and Coach K are awesome. You can tell they really care about their athletes and are invested in their success. She’s also worked with Robert and Chase for tumbling and they’ve really pushed her to be her best. She’s recently started taking a jumps class and I’ve already seen improvement after one month. If you’re looking to improve your athletes skills this is definitely the right place.

I had the honor and privilege to watch these athletes perform at a recent competition. Besides their outstanding performances and skills on the competition mat, they were courteous and kind and role models for the other gyms. The owner strives to ensure the gym is a positive atmosphere for the athletes and works hard to create a program that encourages growth while maintaining the fun in the sport. I personally saw this when she recently planned a day camp for younger athletes. If we lived closer, my daughter would cheer at Augusta Cheer Academy, hands down.

I have taken both my children and their friends to different classes events in this gym in the last several months. What used to be a friendly well run gym has recently become overturn with parents helping (more like gossiping) at the front desk! Once a friendly face would be there alone to help you, (preferred) now you get other parents behind the counter that give you a Stinky “B”@“ch Face” look when you approach them, and are not helpful at all. These people are half dressed and look very out of place. These are grown adults, and I think they need to make a better impression. It has turned into a bad Dance Moms episode when you walk in, with all the drama. The prices are going up for open gym events, and the coaching staff being hired is not quality like they had in the past. I hope the owner or manager sees this and makes these very critical changes to promote a better business environment. I do not want to take my business somewhere else, but I will not walk into this again while they are being unwelcoming, unclassy, and unprofessional. The children have all mentioned that they feel like they are not welcome in the gym, and I know I felt like I was not every time. I am so upset. I wanted this to be a good experience. I had high hopes and am still hoping this matter is corrected and I return to a totally different environment like it was in the past when I first started bringing them in.

The owner of this program is one of the sweetest individuals I’ve ever known. Her heart is caring and kind and she loves working with the families on daily basis. If you are looking for somewhere with a professional yet fun and truly caring environment.. this is your place. She will make sure you and your family are well taken care of and that your child has the best experience possible and that they are successful in this program!

Absolutely love this gym family. My daughter is on her third year cheering for the national stars it’s a lot of hard work, sacrifice and a lot of time ( we live an hour away) but for her love of the sport and and the people that coach her we make those sacrifices to be a part of The national stars. She has made the best of friends here and has accomplished many goals and has always been helped along the way to do what she knows she can do. Rachel and her staff are great and always ready to encourage, teach, or just give a hug when needed ️

ACA is a fantastic gym with a terrific staff. All Star Cheer is not a sport for the weak minded or for those with delicate sensibilities and thats okay. A few of these people sound like petulant whiners. Maybe you can find fulfillment in a quiet game of candy crush or some kite flying perhaps.

Augusta Cheer Academy is not only a great place to learn cheer & tumbling but it’s a family! The coaches are amazing! They care about your children! We have been with this cheer gym for 4 years! I would and have recommend ACA to anyone who asks!! We love this place!

We have been apart of the ACA family for 2 wonderful years. It has been a great experience and I’m proud to call myself a cheer dad. The staff is always available to answer question and they are very professional. The coaches are amazing with a perfect balance of strict and fun. My daughter has come out of her shell so much since joining the ACA family. She absolutely loves all of her coaches. The owner Rachel is so patient and loving to all of the kids. Coach Nick is my favorite coach he pushes my daughter to be her very best at all times. We were looking for a great cheer family and we found it.

This gym is fun and your child will definately be ready for competition cheer and or school cheer IF they are willing to work hard and listen to their coaches. They have wonderful open gym options, cute uniforms and many more things to offer. I’ve never looked back after 7 years at this gym. We are in school cheer now but always come back to tumble, sub when needed or simply visit. We love our friends and family at ACA. We will always bleed red and black and sparkle like a star.

I have been at this gym every week for the past 8 year of my life, I have come across many athletes and coaches but not one time have I felt insulted by a single person in this gym. Yes I have had arguments and disagreed with some of the people at the gym but we always found a way to work with them to figure it out. The staff at Augusta Cheer Academy are some of the most most welcoming, enthusiastic, caring, and dedicated employees I have seen in the many sports I have tried. The people at this gym have basically raised me in both cheer and life. I have learned many life skills in this environment such as giving back to the less fortunate, teamwork, respect, sportsmanship, and perseverance. I have come so far as an athlete and learned so many skills I could have never imagined having at a young age. I could never see myself at any other gym. The people in this gym I used to call my coaches and teammates but since have become my family and best friends. I would recommend this gym to anyone looking for a place to have a birthday party, tumble, practice skills (at open gym), or competitive cheer. I have had so many opportunities to travel with this gym and the staff have done everything they can to make me and my family feel comfortable and welcome in the national stars family.

9 years, 4 kids (3 currently) we have been apart of this gym. We love this gym and the coaches in it. When we have had any issues, they have been addressed and handled. We have seen people come and go for various reasons, but we choose to stay because we have become family. It hasnt been perfect, no one or gym is, but it has been filled with love and support. Some seasons have been better than others, but at the end of the day we still come back season after season.

We have been a part of this gym family for years. All-star cheerleading, tumbling classes, open gym, and summer camps! The owner and coaches at the gym have always treated my children like their own. What I love about this gym is the discipline they taught my children. They were never afraid to push my children to be better athletes. They were also there to hug them and encourage them when they knew they gave it their best. So many laughs, tears and memories with this gym! We love our ACA family!!

My daughter has been at this gym for 8 years since the age of 4. The staff and coaches have been amazing. They have always looked out for her and her teammates. She has progressed and advanced just as she should have. Not held back or pressured to get skills that she isn’t ready for yet. They pour their hearts out for their athletes. It’s a huge 2nd family for us. Wouldn’t take her anywhere else. She would live at the gym if I would let her.

Hands down the best gym! This is the second year we have been apart of ACA and I am so thankful we joined! I cant say thank you enough to the hard working coaches that put all there time and effort into pushing the girls to do the best they can! I am shocked at how much my daughter has learned in such a small amount of time! I have to give credit to Rachel, Coach K, and Nick for putting in the time and effort to make the team the best they can be!!! Cant wait to see what the STARS do this year!!!

Have totally enjoyed the cheer experience through my granddaughters involvement. My granddaughter has benefited from the instruction, professionalism and dedication of the cheer academy staff. I look forward to the future events and competitions.

My daughter has cheered with ACA for 4 years now, we ️ This gym and the people. I cannot say enough how awesome they are! ACA is like family to us. My daughter is so proud to be a national star. The staff is always so compassionate and treats Morgan like one of their own. I have never doubted this program. They have truly played a huge role in molding my child into the person she is. She has built so many friendships here. ACA pushes Morgan to be the best she can be and built so much confidence in her as a person and athlete. There is nowhere else she would rather be!

6th year in and we still love this place! Its amazing to see the growth and developmemt of the athletes from beginning to end each year. Approaching all-star cheer as I do academics there are three parts to the success recipe (gym/coaches, athlete and parents) that each require 100% to pull it off. Add in the human factor and understanding that no one or nothing is perfect, I have found that my concerns are always heard and I believe that this is because the concerns brought to me by the gym/coaches are also heard. We have had great experiences and ACA has become like family! Well always be Stars (as long as we are cheering).

We have been with ACA for two years now and it has been a great experience so far! You can tell that the coaches love what they do. It takes ALOT to deal with hundreds of kids with different personalities to bring them all together to make a winning team. I just want to thank Rachel and all of the other coaches for all of their hard work and dedication that they put in my kid and all of the other kids at ACA. Looking forward to more great years.

Im sorry but I must agree and disagree with the Cheer Academy reviews. Yes, kids are bullied by coaches and other kids, told they are tofat to tumble, parents were pressured to send in reviews when bad ones are posted, coaches range from 10-16 yrs old, drinking done especially down in Florida at UCA competition, kids have been on same levels for 4-6 years and their parents thinks this is financially sound, levels do not go into ever competing on any World Level, and parents pay $4000 along with travel costs, and additional money for amusement park events (open gym) or movie night so the owner and coaches have a daycare for their children to hang out in. The owner plays a not knowing role while working behind the scenes to either try to shut people up or pay them off by offering their kids free fees and I became deranged when I found out some families have 4 and never pay one fee. I met the Nolan B family 1 or 2 times. Yes they can come off very vocal but what parent is not when it comes to their child. But they were the family who saw no wrong and drank the koolaid but I feel in my heart they are telling the truth. If the coach they are speaking of, they think they can do whatever and say whatever to anyone. They are nasty and think they own the gym. Charging people $600 and signing that contract any parent should think twice about giving a business that type of power over your child. The owner knows its true and supports whatever coaches say and works behind the scenes sending out emails and texts to parents to support any difficulty that occurs. There is another facility in Evans, Georgia and we use it. These parents posting are like minions with no back bone and think their kids are the best cheerleaders in the world and everyone else who does not go along is to be thrown to the wast side. Im sorry this had to be exposed but you can only hide for so long. The thing to do was to make changes when things arrived not when your minion decided to expose you.Response to OwnerIm glad you were so prompt on responding and are working on the issues. Any parent who has felt insulted, bullied, or targeted needs to evaluate why they pay and stay. The purpose of reviews is to better a customer experience, and not a bunch of minions trying to cover for wrong behavior., No one is going to contact and discuss anything when they become black balled and child becomes bullied at school by your current athletes. By the way, how about having scholarships for kids and not just 1 family who has 3 children in the program; adult staff, coaches not being office staff or acting like owners, and parents using their influence to destroy other parents who just want to be heard. Im not contacting you and I will not drink the red koolaid. Hope all works out for all the parents who children were affected can mend and move forward and the affects are not as bad overall.

I have been watching these reviews and feel like it is time that I add my opinion. I have two daughters who cheer competitively at ACA and my other children have taken tumbling classes, gone to open gym, and participated in camps. I have 9 children who have participated in many different sports and activities through a variety of organizations over the years giving me a lot to compare this organization to. First let me start by saying that our 8 years at ACA haven’t always been perfect because this is real life and real people are involved. My daughters have occasionally had issues with coaches or other athletes and I don’t always agree with every parent on my girls’ teams, however, we have always been able to go to the gym and discuss any problems with the coaches and/or the owner. These conversations are not always easy to have especially when we are feeling emotional and protective but I have always ended up satisfied and reassured with the outcome we come up with together and together we continue to help my kids grow and get better in the sport they love. The encouraging personalized messages my children receive especially before and during a competition touch my heart as I see how invested these coaches are in my child as a cheerleader and a person. We have shared special “cheer family” experiences for Christmas, Halloween, birthdays, Valentine’s Day, etc. and I am especially proud of all the charity based experiences my children have participated in with the gym (Operation Christmas Child, Macy’s Santa Letters, Red Nose Day, Spooky to be Hungry, Toys for Tots, Ronald McDonald House, etc). My older daughter has been cheering competitively for 8 years and she thinks of her coaches and fellow athletes as family and loves them so much. In fact she put a post on Facebook recently that brought tears to my eyes as I realized how much ACA has brought to her life and helped her grow. We cannot imagine cheering or tumbling anywhere else.

This is my daughters 8th year with ACA. She has cheered for all of the gyms in the CSRA and this by far has been the best one! We absolutely LOVE our cheer family! This gym is a fun and nurturing environment. They love and support all of their athletes. When the kids are cheering with their schools or at local school competitions their coaches take time from their personal schedules to always come out and support them. In my opinion that says alot about their character. Coaching our kids is not just a job to them. They are truly invested in their overall well being and will go above and beyond for them. The owner and her staff genuinely love our kids like their own, which is so important considering how much time our kids spend at the gym each week. If youre looking for a place to take recreation classes or a place to cheer competitively ACA is definitely your best choice!!

UPDATE 12/13/2018In reference to the reply from the owner, it is apparent that rather than rectify the issue with the coaching staff, its easier to chalk up the breakdown as hurt and anger on my part. In all honesty, I am not hurt or angry, the correct terms are disappointed and disgusted.Original ReviewAfter 3 seasons and two children, I feel that it is necessary to highlight some serious challenges within the ACA program. Since the beginning of this season, my daughter has come home crying on several of occasions complaining about treatment and constant criticism over her performance, by one of the coaches. Initially, I did not take this seriously and chalked it up to her being tired and hormonal, since she is at an age where that is a reality. Her complaints stemmed from being constantly called out for minor things to being humiliated by being told in front of the team that “this or that sucked” about her performance. A recent event, in which this coach was approached by my wife, for a picture of a bid event envelope, at the most recent competition, led to my wife’s realization that there may have been truth and tension between the coach and my daughter. The coach flat out refused to show the envelope and allow the picture to be taken, by saying that those were just the scores, because there wasn’t any bid. Later we learned from another coach and a picture of another child with the envelope in question that the coach was not truthful. However minor this incident was, it reinforced that a problem was evident. My daughter returned to practice after the competition, she called my wife from practice hysterical because she was being ridiculed and critiqued inappropriately (“Your jumps suck!”). This has been confirmed by other children on the team and their parents. The coaches are immature and not trained to understand how to motivate, coach, and mentor the different age groups. So much so, that when my wife reached out the coach and mentioned her less than honest approach, it resulted in a termination letter. It is for the best, no child deserves to be spoken to and bullied in that way. There was even an earlier incident that took place when she was hit by two coaches with a belt. My son also in the program at the time stopped it. We addressed this with the gym and it was chalked down to being in fun. While the explanation made sense at the time, I question its honesty now.Two years in a row multiple teams have received Summit (National level competition) bids and we have traveled to Orlando. Unfortunately, at that level we quickly realize how non-competitive the program really is. At this competition, like the others, if the team ends early enough, that’s it. Regardless of placement, there is not a plan for the next day. This is the time for the entire staff to go out and “party”. Day 2 of the competitions, you have hung over coaches that can’t wait until the day is over. The Summit happens in the May timeframe. This unfortunately competes with other gym priorities like try-outs for the next season and drumming up business for the next season. The practice schedule doesn’t become more intense. The results have been pretty consistently inadequate.Unfortunately, the Augusta area doesn’t have too many options for cheer programs. We selected this program due to convenience and proximity. There is another program in the area that seems to have a more adult staff. I am a military member, currently deployed overseas, and will wait until we move to a different duty station to select a program. I will definitely read reviews and hopefully can steer clear of any more of these experiences.Reviews are meant to educate prospective customers with both the good and the bad in order to make an informed decision. If you notice, the Facebook site for ACA does not have a reviews section. Upon receiving a negative review, they omitted that feature. Also, keep in mind that the other reviews with little or no substance are prior or existing coaches.

I literally.. have just actually decided to read this thread after NUMEROUS messages from current and former ACA PARENTS, KIDDOS, and yes COACHES .. that have worked with BOTH of my children during their training historically and recently.. First and foremost.. to all the parents whom have not been through what we have.. I wholeheartedly respect you and your reviews.. . And I understand where you come from... I WAS there once too.... As you ALL KNOW.. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A FAN OF YOUR CHILDREN AS YOU HAVE BEEN OF MINE.. BUT.. where I hope and pray.. ( that this never happens to you or yours, because the bullying has only increased to a 11 year old child whom is more heartbroken than you can ever imagine and after the PRIVATE parents email went to her team as well as gym meetings .. job well done RACHEL the bullying increased to the point of school peers teasing her saying SHE SUCKED AND GOT KICKED OFF THE TEAM .. and LA IN YOUR PARAPHRASED WORDS.. “didn’t even deserve to be on he team” ..To the parents that are having great experiences, I pray you never go down the path of tolerance we went down in the last years !! This was not abrupt or an acute response WHEN YES.. I HAD ENOUGH ... WE HAVE SPENT MANY HOURS IN Rachel’s office and WITH COACHES... watched our children cry and were heartbroken over what the coaches said to us about our children!! YES.. Both of them!! Yet we always thought they (THE OWNER AND COACHES) knew best and also our children had to deal with parents that never ever seemed to believe them ... but told them they had to work harder.. ITS COMPETITION CHEER!! Both my husband and I are respected professionals in this community and as professionals parents in a tough world we have never been quitters nor do we raise quitters!! This is absolutely the foundation we embedded into our children .... Let me get personal Rachel..Since I see you also attempted to blame ME in hypothetically “your” letter and responses .. and I want to be clear ... that will NOT be tolerated .. This current issue which actually provoked me to finally have enough after one of your employees boldly lied to my face and in front of my child.. and NO we were not separated for separate discussions in your office... prompted my WAKE UP CALL after myself and my husband personally addressed these issues with you on more than ONE occasion !! SO IF THIS IS YOU RESPONDING OR PROMPTING THESE SUDDEN POSITIVE REVIEWS ... when you had none before.. From the Mom that stood in your office and cried many tears .. WHEN YOU PERSONALLY MADE PROMISES TO MY HUSBAND, Myself and MY SON.. ..YOU LIED TO NOT ONLY A CHILD TO HIS FACE .. BUT TO BOTH OF HIS PARENTS .. I have never been so disgusted and I actually thought since you HAVE NEVER EVEN SPOKEN TO ME PERSONALLY AND ALSO REFUSED TO SPEAK TO MY HUSBAND when the issue of you using the PARENTAL CODE OF CONDUCT.. to kick a child out of your gym without hesitation nor inquire as to actually what provoked ME to call your employee A LIAR .No, without hesitation not only did you not actually speak to the parent that WAS OVERWHELMINGLY INFURIATED.. you also refused and ignored an in writing request all the way from another country to speak to you... while deployed.. YOU STILL REFUSED after years of money and tolerance we have invested into YOUR business and then we finally saw the whole TRUTH. I literally..said OMG.. So when does Rachel suddenly speaks about herself in the 3rd person.. that’s not her... you were always given the benefit and OUR TRUST with our children’s best interests..yet ..CLEARLY WE FINALLY REALIZED YOUR PASSION WAS NOT ABOUT THE CHILDREN IN YOUR GYM!! What a harsh and heartbreaking awakening it has been for us!! Yes Rachel.. like most parents singing your praises .. so did we... WE BELIEVED IN YOU TOO..THEN WE FINALLY WOKE UP!!! My son was never a quitter either !! REMEMBER HIM.. HE ACTUALLY WARNED US after working for you too.. don’t let her go back!

This is my daughter’s second year at ACA. She started off in the Prep half year team last year and fell in love with cheer and ACA! She is now on a full year team. She takes several classes and is at the gym 4 days a week — she never complains about going and cannot wait to get there to see the coaches and her friends! The coaches makes her feel like one of their own and she gives them a hug each and every time!! They all motivate her and push her to do HER best each and every time she is on the floor. She has learned so much in these two short years and is so determined to keep going and develope new skills. We are very pleased with ACA and have sent a lot of girls their way who have all joined the gym in one way or another! I can’t wait to see how much my daughter grows over the years!

I apologize for my anonymity, but my child is on the same team Mr. Barcos daughter. I am sure if I used my name, I would be in the same situation as Mr. Barcos. Firstly, let me say that the Barcos were an honorable addition to the team. His wife went out of her way assist medically (since I believe she is a physician) within the program, never expecting anything in return. My child in fact was injured during a competition and she stepped in to help. I am writing this review beacause I noticed that the gym owner must have asked those closest to her to flood Google with reviews. Well, in my opinion that defeats the purpose of reviews. So nothing stated in his review is exaggerated or untrue. While my daughter doesnt have the same the same experience as Mr. Barcos, she is distraught over this and in her words said to me, Mommy, I think its fair because -- doesnt like Baby Barco. Kids dont lie, and my daughter doesnt really care for -- either. Yes there is a problem in the program with professionalism and expectations between the girls and the coaches. I have seen the inexperience of coaches interacting with the girls cause challenges. This is the CSRA and there arent many choices. I have been a part of this gym for some time, but after this season I and some other parents may give another gym in the area a try. For one I cannot stand for how they have treated this family, and recently with the exception of Coach Nick, theyre coaching talent is really below average. I never thought kids at this age could really be affected by the loss of a teammate, but my daughter did not want to back to practice when she found out they kicked off Baby Barco. She couldnt understand why, since Baby Barco was seasoned cheerleader in the program. Going into this competition well see how it goes, but I am seriously hurt by the unwillingness of this gym to address the problem at hand with a coach versus, a child. I read all the posts on Facebook, and cant disagree with anything Mr. Barco has posted, specially when so many others have come out with similar experiences and our conversations amongst parents on the team involve the same issues. Shame on trying to discredit the patron ACA. You have been given a list of challenges that plague your program by not just Mr. Barco but many others commenting on his whistleblowing, since he has nothing to lose, at this point. No one in the program is going to bring them to you, specially after this.

Love the owner and all of the coaches. We couldn’t be happier at this gym.
