I enjoy(ed) it here havent been cause of the covid deal but now there is a online set-up happening where attendance is limited. Anyway, my rating is based on the thousands of times I have been. Lovely basketball gym, swimming pool and running track, lots of fun! Very clean work out equipment too.
I had my fathers life celebration here after his passing. Everyone was very kind and helpful. They kept checking on us to make sure we had everything. I rented two connecting rooms and it was perfect. They had tables and chairs and I was able to connect into their speaker system to play music. It was a perfect place.
I have been trying to take my son to the Erie community skatepark every night for about a week. The lights will not turn on!!!!!!! This is the only time that works for my very busy schedule from work to managing a full house. You have disappointed me and my son greatly. The rec center employees are very rude and will not couparate every time we call we get lie after lie.
Love this facility! The staff are very friendly and helpful.facility is very clean with great equipment..... can’t say enough good things about the Erie Community Center!!!! Try it you’ll love it! ️
Get value for your money; extremely clean; variety of classes offered.
Overall a great place to work out and have fun. My wife and I like to rock climb and this place even has a small climbing area. Decent size wall, some challenging routes and even a bouldering wall to enjoy. Some cluttered work out machines that are a little close and tight workout areas kept it from 5 stars, but a nice large gym space and good equipment kept it strong, as well as a nice pool and locker area. Great attentive staff as well!
I love this gym! Such fantastic group fitness classes. Unfortunately I just moved to Longmont and joined Golds, and this has really made me appreciate all that the Erie rec has to offer. Nice new equipment, clean facility, enthusiastic and creative instructors. Im missing the Erie rec! Special thanks to Ashley, Tracy, Reina, and Michelle...always loved attending their classes and will keep coming whenever Im in the area.
Had helpful staff and lots of big weights for making your bark bigger
This community center is bogged down by the town of Eries heavy-handed municipal bureaucracy. The staff has a constant turnover, and are put on the front desk before they are properly trained. When issues arise due to their lack of training, members are blamed. Also, the community centers administrative computer programs never work properly, and only make monetary errors that favor the town. Finally, it should be noted that during the Pandemic, I called the Weld County Dept. of Health when I learned that the community center was planning to open the Childrens Camp in violation of current public safety directives. Later that day, I received a phone message from the Erie Police Department wanting to explain it to me. I felt I was being strongarmed! That being said, the facility is clean, and the members are very nice.
Extensive facility. I was very impressed.
I was there for an HOA meeting and was impressed by boththe location and the wide variety of offerings at the Center. Nice facility and very well maintained.
Nice facility but the air temperature for the indoor pool is too cold! If you get out of the pool you will freeze to death so the hot tub Is always full.
Love this place. We basically live here. The programs, staff, and the fitness instructors are all amazing.
Pool is very very small for a city of 25K. Terrible design. Basketball courts are nice, as well is the cardio areas.
Wonderful community center accommodating to many events with a well maintained indoor pool and workout facility.
Nice place to workout. I like the annual upgrades. Lockers/showers are nasty and lacking clothes spinner/dryer. Kids checkin is tedious and child care staff have no clue how to deal with children to keep them occupied so parents can work out. Over obsession with checking ins
Nicest Rec center Ive ever seen.
Decent gym with a decent weight pile. They have lateral pull down machine, they do not have incline bench press. There is a punching bag/machine which is a nice touch. They do not have a sauna or steam room. The pool is small and the hot tub is pretty weak as in low pressure and heat levels. It also has a nice track, basketball gym, and rock climbing.
For townspeople of Erie. This Center is fantastic!
What a great family fun place to visit. The staff is always friendly and the visitors are just the same. My children always have a good time visiting the Erie rec center.
They heat their water with solar thermal, pool, hot tub, and sauna. This is awesome!Racktball, track, courts, they have it all.
Did not have kids run around day. We were not kids nor were we trying to run around. We came to ball. We balled. We were charged twice
A great place to drop off my teen son and his friends
Very friendly community and a great facility for the family. The rooms are well set up to hold functions for meetups and businesses as well.
I enjoy the Erie Community. I swim a lot and it would be nice if they could get a dryer that wrings out swim suits and alleviate a lot of water on the floor that can cause slipping.
Nice community with new gym equipments. Instructors are so friendly and always says hi! I gave a 4 star rating because it doesnt have a sauna and a steam room!
Ive been a member for 3 years and use all parts of the facility. The classes are fabulous especially Boot Camp.and Intervals; fabulous teachers, great fellow positive members, and awesome workouts! Indoor track is great when its cold.outside and the pickle ball games are well attended and always fun! Gym needs more professional trainers for people who want a significant workout that challenges them and really builds greater strength and definition.
Super nice rec center for all ages, but especailly in the gym
We have a family membership, and the price is very reasonable. I take several fitness classes, and my kids use the Kid Station during that time. My kids have also done some group activities here. All of the staff is very kind and helpful. The facilities are clean, and we love coming here. With Erie growing as fast as it is, it is sometimes difficult to get a cardio machine.
Love being members here. Great fun for the kids. Great exercise facilities for me
A very family oriented place.
Well run with eberything you would expect at a rec center. My kids loved the kids night outs on Friday nights.Always seems well.maintained and clean.
Not a bad rec center for a town this size. There is a very nice weightlifting room. That said, they seriously lack accommodations for non adults. About the only thing they offered now is the pool. They used to have areas for younger kids and teens, but they removed them and replaced them with infrequently used exercise classrooms. The hours are modest, but managing the budget I know has been struggle and they do what they can. There are several meet meeting rooms that are available for rent which is great, and the racquetball courts are very popular.
Very nice people good work out awesome pool and good basketball court
Great town rec center. But needs outdoor pool.
Very warm and cozy in lobby. Lots of young kid friendly spaces. Pool is always wonderful and clean.
Great people, great facilities. Doing our town proud.
My go to place. Wonderful staff. A shining star in Erie, Colorado!
Theres only one padded floor station for deadlifts, and theres only one station to do incline or decline bench. And sometimes theyll be in use by someone just doing pull ups. So a lot of people just awkwardly circle that area. If youre workout is a little off the reservation and very dumbbell heavy youll be fine. If you have a standard workout routine expect to be waiting for stations.
Loved the kids area! And very affordable even for non resident.
Great facilities, best racquetball courts on the area.
Clean, and had everything I needed to get a quick workout and shower before heading into work. The rock wall and bouldering added some nice variation. Perfect if your looking for something thats close, and isnt contract based.
Lockef room showers could be updated but its still a pretty decent recreation center.
All I can say is WOW. Every community should have a facility like this.
Theres something here for everyone... I really like this place... Theres indoor games and pools... Tons of classes and Im very excited to return
Awesome fitness and rehab equipment including Cybex Bravo, upper body ergometer, free weights, ellipticals, treadmills, Life Fitness revolving staircases, and a pool... Oh yeah, and my niece can play in the playground indoors are out. Very cool...Perfectly positioned between Longmont and Lafayette. The architects are very talented...And the staff couldnt be more helpful.Cheers!
I like this place only thing is that the pool is to small otherwise it cool
Terrific facility. The personal trainers and classes are the best in Erie and around. Less expensive that the personal gyms in Erie. You cant go wrong on a facility that is 5 or so years old. I like everything except the chlorine or bromine in pool is a tad high for my skin. I would go to this facility first before going to any other place around.
Love the place. Full blown workout center, weight lifting, aerobics, led formed classes, spin, yoga, Barre, a beautiful swimming pool with slides and kids play area and hot tub and lazy river, two basketball courts, running track, meeting rooms and day care. Go take care of yourself and get healthy!
I’ve had an annual pass here several times but this year they made it so childcare is no longer included. It essentially makes my pass useless unless I want to pay double to add childcare. The classes on Friday, Saturday and Sunday are very limited as well.
They have a great staff, and the building is well maintained. The weight lifting equipment is high quality, although the weight room is a bit small. They have a fantastic rock wall for any level climbers, and a great selection of kid programs. The only thing I felt was missing is a mat room with one or two heavy bags for kicking and punching. They do have a boxing rig just next to the running track, but its not quite the same. Otherwise, a fantastic rec center.
Clean and convenient. Lots of activities to choose. Only drawback is no steam or sauna rooms.
We are lucky to have a great facility in our community. Lots of variety in equipment and classes available.
Great rec center
Very helpful and great customer service
This center is so beautiful and so clean
Our whole family likes the Erie Community Center. Great pool, especially for the kids. The workout equipment is good and there is a decent variety to choose from. The Coomunity center also offer a wide variety of classes and sports for the kids.
I love this community resource. Nia is my favorite.
Terrible rowing machines. They dont keep up the maintenance on them. One of the only two has been out of order for over two weeks.
A wonderful place for the whole family. Prices were very reasonable and the pool/splash pad were fun for all. The lifeguard staff was very attentive and nice.
Love this rec center
Almost like a resort. Very clean and the staff is fabulous.
Nice and economical kids activities!
I love this place its a great place to take your kids there swimming area is awesome
Very nice complex. We have been here several times. Very busy place.
Pool is great, especially for kids. Swirling pool and slide is awesome. The free weight area needs to be revised however. Only one rack for squatting and not much room for doing any kind of barbell work.
Great rec center! Great pool for kids, good staff, fun environment. They are very accomodating at the gym for events.
It might not be the most high tech gym around, but it gets the job done and is close for Erie residents. Lots of cardio machines, free weights area is pretty good, and there is a circuit area as well. There is an indoor track which I believe is 1/11 of a mile in length. The hardwood courts host basketball, volleyball, pickleball and more. As for the swimming pool, there is a lazy river, water slide, kids area, hot tub, and 3 lanes when lap swimming is open. There is a rock climbing wall, daycare area, and kids play structure. Lots of meeting rooms as well. The locker rooms are sufficient and there is a family locker room where you can go and change with your kids. Everything is well taken care of and I am able to do what I need to do there with very little to complain about.
What should have been a special Day for my one year old’s birthday was ruined by a staff member at the Erie Community Center. For sake of privacy I will only use first initials. We had a fabulous experience with the front staff person A. And the maintenance person P. Huge thank you to both of them for their politeness and excellent customer service!!Now on to Assistant Coordinator of Guest Service Operations V.D. who should never be in costumer service. She came in the room with an extremely negative attitude about EVERYTHING. We specifically asked the Rec. Center staff on multiple occasions prior to the event what was permitted to be hung on the walls. We took extra precautions and made sure to hang things on metal, plastic or freestanding items that we brought it. She decided to go around and take pictures of everything telling us rules were broken. I asked her to politely leave the room and she told me to not use that language She then proceeded to ask us if we would want someone to come to our house and “ruin” it, we told her we took all necessary precautions to respect their property. Throughout the party she was standing in the Kitchen area taking pictures with out my permission with young children present on her personal cell phone( this is NOT ok). After the event we asked to do a walkthrough with V.D. We left the room in PERFECT condition but she still choose to be rude and curt with us.I am a Colorado native and have lived in Erie for 14 years and love to keep business within our wonderful little town. I even am a small business owner in Erie as well. However people like this who are in a “customer service” role are ruining revenue to the City. I was a PAYING repeat customer who did nothing wrong but was treated horribly and “policed” through the event. As a mom or dad I wanted to let you know my personal experience as I hope none of you have to deal with the sheer rudeness and unfortunately I will take my business somewhere else outside Erie.I would happily suggest taking a deposit and if there is damage charge accordingly. Otherwise please don’t harass your customers and “police” them through their special event.**To not make this a novel I have summed up the events. I am happy to privately give any more details. Also I will be contacting the Recreation Supervisor and Recreation Coordinator to discuss my concerns and experience.
The people are great. The problem I have is that we spent $700 for a family membership and can’t use the basketball court because there seems to always be organized games. The pool is usually crowded. We also have to wait or walk the lame track because we are waiting for a machine to open up. Not saying I don’t want to go, it’s just not worth a yearly membership.
Despite the fact that the town of Erie continues to grow rapidly, the Erie Community Center continues to cancel evening classes. Its apparent they arent concerned about accommodating the greater community since their evening offerings are sparse at best. The Community center itself is nice, but the management is highly questionable. They continue to ignore the demands of the members. I thought we paid their salary??
Great pool. Fun place
I love this place. Very polite, knowlegable staff, clean facility, inexpensive admission fee.Especially recomand kids(adults) with sensory issues. I have 9yr old autistic kid whos having hard time with big group of people but hes having great time at pool and gym without meltdown. I love it.
Clean and all the basic amenities. Great pool for kids, but too warm for serious lap swimming. Great front desk personnel.
I was there with my kids and the front desk staff is very nice! But when I got back to the swimming pool, every 10 minutes the life guards were yelling at us for things they said we did wrong!! It made us so uncomfortable we left.
Excellent center for working out. They have kids station where you can leave kids in good hands.
OK for the price but NOT Kid friendly: removed a highly used & well loved game/lounge area - was perfect Kids too old for Daycare Room & too young for working out.Crowded during busy times.Needs expanded facilities.Never in 5 yrs have they asked members what they want - no outreach.
Very nice Recreation Center. Whish the one in Frederick was as nice as this one....
My sister always brings us here when we are in town! Really fun place for all ages. Staff is always nice and happy to help with anything.
Excellent community center and gym. Very nice management.
Swimming. Play area for kids. Day care. Meeting rooms. Senior center. Awesome rec center. Awesome employees.
Very friendly very clean and a great place to take showers
Great local Rec Center, always clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Great for families with kids of all ages
We love the rock wall and all of the options. Friendly staff and great price for the family.
As a lap swimmer, Id like to see a few basic upgrades. 1. Backstroke flags would be nice. 2. More lap swim hours with all 3 lanes available. 3. Better kick boards that were actually made for adults. 4. Maybe bump the hot tub temp up just a little. A luke warm bath after a swim isnt all that rewarding....
Always a great time swimming with the kids. Pool is always clean and refreshing.
Staff is great and always make you feel welcome. Weight room leaves a little to be desired, but it is affordable and close to my home. Its a great community rec center.
Good deal for a family day pass. Not crowded on Saturdays.
My kids enjoyed every minute at this facility. We spent our time in the pools.
Two lifeguards made my seven year old cry twice in the span of ten minutes. Communication at this rec center is horrendous. If you have an adult swim scheduled, parents should be able to see it posted. If you have given lessons to a child for a year, ongoing, you should recognize that the child, WHO IS A RESIDENT, can swim in her home pool without intimidating her to the point of tears to take a swimming test. Never have I experienced such a ridiculous show of poor public service. F-
This is a heart pool
Excellent customer service.
This is a great resource for the town. Swimming, rock climbing, work out equipment, racquetball, etc.
Me and my 2 other mom friends brought our little ones all under the age of 7 to the pool. We got yelled at and reprimanded for everything you could think of. For being too close to the water slide, not being in arms length of my children who can swim at all times, for my children warming up in the hot tub, sitting on the hot tub stairs, climbing over a knee height wall into the water, going down the kids water slide wrong, you name it. If I ever come here again I need to first request a handbook of the 100s of rules for swimming here. I felt very disrespected and disappointed, my friend left she got sick of being bossed around. The Broomfield rec center is much more relaxed and fun! You don’t have to worry about playing the wrong way, and you won’t have 15 year olds boss you around all day telling your children how to act.
Super fun
Great place for kids. No Steam Spa for adults, swimming is limited. I just go to Longmont for a better experience.
Nice rec!
