Love the bartenders and owner they are very nice always a great time. On the rare occasion I get to see the band they are awesome as well. Definitely my number 1 spot. Only bad thing is they are closed in the winter!

The atmosphere is fun. However they charge a cover, and sometimes drink prices randomly spike up.

This place is surprisingly nice. The outdoor area has a tiki vibe, and it is connected to Revolution, which is more of an upscale venue. I wasnt expecting a nice upstairs lounge area in there, and a dance floor with multiple bar stations inside, connected to another room with additional bartenders. Drinks are cheap too. The mixed drinks when I went varied from $3.50-$5.

Joes is dope, but they’re music needs salt and pepper. Alot of it.

Really fun outdoor bar!! We were down there for the Roar on the shore. So nice to see that they do not garage people on drinks! It was hot and sunny, but they have misters outside that kept you comfortable! Played cornhole and had a blast!

Bouncers on duty at 10pm on 27th of June 2020 told me all my government issued IDs are fake and were very rude.

The best summer venue in Erie. Live music every Friday and Saturday 6 to 10pm and DJ late night. Great bar staff, good food, and awesome location.

Bartenders were attentive and super nice. Asked a bartender to make me a drink with whatever in it, and he concocted a crazy good drink (albeit pretty strong). All the staff seemed upbeat and ready to serve. Tables were cleared pretty quickly, which is great. Only gripe is that the floor was littered with quite a few bottles and cans. DJs had pretty good mixes on, as they should.

Great outdoor bar for us middle age folks. Live music, no cover, sounds like a hit in Erie. They have a cool snack bar that stays open till 2am, but Im just there because my buddy is looking for a new wife, that and the cheap beer. Most people that go here have a good time.

Went to Coconut Joes this past weekend and boy am I glad to hear they are closing. Purchased 4 drinks and the total came to $16 so I left a $2 tip to make the total $18. After checking my bank statement, it looks like they charged me $24... I am staring at my receipt in disbelief as I keep all my receipts from bars, especially sketchy ones. I’m not going to fight them over $6, but I want people to know the risks of giving them business. I used to love going there, but the bar tenders have become extremely snarky, to the point they basically throw drinks at you. The bouncers there are real big tough guys, especially the tattooed face man. He threw my friend out bc they screwed her on her bill, similar to me. She didn’t tip bc the bartender was being so rude, so the bartender got tattoo face and ripped the drink from her hand and told her she wasn’t welcome... as we left he threw things at us and acted like he was going to beat up everyone in our group as we respectively left and took our business elsewhere.Moral of the story, this place couldn’t close fast enough. Garbage people work there and it’s no wonder they are closing their doors. Just sucks they are defrauding people to get as much money as they can before officially closing.

This bar has a lot of potential but doesnt really stand out menu wise from any other Erie bar. If you like domestic beer this is your place, $18 will get you 6 Lite bottles. The mixed drinks are not anything special but are decent. If youre looking for fresh lime juice and contreau in your margaritas this is not your bar...but to be fair this place gets packed. If youre looking for live music and a DJ Coconut Joes has both.

Good drinks. DJs are absolutely horrible tho. If no one (literally no one) is dancing, stop recording the crowd and change the song.

The best club in Erie!!

This was my first visit to Coconut Joes. The groove was playing the evening I was there. It was ok. I wasnt happy with my drinks at all. Staff was not friendly.

Noisy poor music for my old soul. Over crowded and the bartenders seem to be money hungry and are not personable. I just wanted a beer and I was looked at funny.

Super overcrowded, getting a drink takes at least ten minutes. Also, other bars are free and you can get drinks faster. Visit here as a last resort.

Honestly coconut Joes is fun. But I was thrown out for leaving an honest review of resolutions. The manager asked me for my ID and said you were the one who left the bad reviews, you have to leave. So I left peacefully. I asked if I could get my friends, and he said no. So I stood outside and called my friends. He then continued to berate me about how I left a bullshit review, which is not the case. For a place with cover charge Im confused how you can throw me out for leaving a bad review of an associate bar. If you would like to go this establishment keep your opinions of concern about young women freezing to death to yourself about it or any of its associate bars.

Very Racist, bar tenders are rude and nasty. Security is also very disrespectful. Not a nice place to spend time or money.

This is totally unacceptable. A night spent out with friends that is supposed to end in a sense of excitement and happiness is cut short because the manager of this establishment could not handle a negative review on his/her respective establishment. Someone writes and publishes a review out of honesty and pure treatment. The treatment expected at a place of business which has a cover charge and multiple security individuals employed was not met. My fellow party member was forcibly removed from the establishment because she had posted a negative review a year ago. The establishment treated her badly and unlike a business that deserves respect. I will not be going there again.

I think this bar has a great atmosphere and I love the fire pits at the seating area. Really beautiful tiki bar. The problem is that the allow way too many people in and it gets so full of people that its impossible to walk around, everyone is shoulder to shoulder. I waited over a half hour for a drink but there were so crouded. Its one thing to be busy but there should be a croud capacity set.

I would never recommend this place to anyone. My girlfriends and I had VIP bottle service for my bachelorette party and the bouncers kicked us out because the bartender wanted her friends to have the VIP section! They brought us our bottle and mixers then told us that we werent suppose to be there. Not to mention they charged us $200 for a half bottle of Captain Morgan that they ripped out of our hands! Never experienced such poor service in my life!
