In town helping son move. Called to get tee time for a single. Mike was very helpful and put me with a group. The staff when I arrived were very friendly and helpful. The course was in great condition. Very fun and challenging course. Looking forward to playing again next time I am in town.
Nice place, my experience was pretty good. I had to buy a proper shirt to abide by their rules of, proper golf attire must be worn. But overall,, Id golf there again.
We had dinner at the club house restaurant and both of our choices were excellent! I would highly reccommend trying them out. I guess the chef also has another restaurant in Boulder. The driving range however gets way too much use and I thought that the maintenance of the stalls could be/ should be much better.
I love this place. Thank you for being open and not only following but exceeding Weld County and Boulder Counties recommended polices to be open. Without golf I would have gone crazy during these times and felt so safe at the course. I cannot thank the staff enough for all they continue to do for us golfers. I will be a loyal patron forever due to this. The course is great and what you all did during this time for me is much appreciated.
The course is in good shape and the play was quick. Great course for all levels.
Customer service guy was clearly having a bad day and taking it out on customer. Very rude, I definitely wont be back.
Just drove through my neighborhood and saw your foursome Standing on a Teebox no mask on, no social distancing taking place. It’s nice to see that a neighborhood golf course does not care about the people to live here in their own neighborhood, it’s hard to believe that golf is essential in this time. Will also be writing the Boulder county health department for your lame response at your website that allows you to play golf. Will never play at your golf course again and will advise other people not to in our neighborhood. Hope you enjoy all your profits during this hard times and not thanking about keeping my family and children safe in our own neighborhood.
Great place to play. Very scenic!
The facilities and staff are top notch! The course is always in fantastic condition, one of my favorite places to play!!
Wonderful golf course in great condition and spectacular views.
I played there last month with a last second booking opportunity. This course is fantastic and I will go back next time I am in Denver. It is a little bit of a drive but well worth it. The staff is tremendous, the practice facilities are great and the course is not only challenging but beautiful. I encourage anyone who is thinking about it to do it. I have played on many college courses and this is in my top three for sure.
Great course! We loved playing here for our first time. Staff was extremely kind and the course was terrific. I play all over Denver and it was nice to have a course where the marshals actually move the players along instead of doing nothing.
Really enjoyed the course. Tom advantage of their twilight deal; great rate and the course wasnt crowded. Pretty good condition and great views of the mountains. Would definitely play again.
Great views of the Rocky Mountain Front Range. Hot air balloons are launched here annually during the Erie Town Fair & Balloon Festival.
Shot one of my best rounds of the year here. We try and play here 4-5 times a year and we love it. Course was in good shape with greens, tees and fairways. Greens were a bit fast for me but rolled nice. The staff was great! Golf pros were very engaging and very friendly from when we checked in to even when we saw them checking out the course. I had never seen the pros checking us in still driving the course and making sure everyone was doing okay which I thought was a great touch. We had beers and wings in the restaurant after our round and the wings were amazing. Great place to spend the day golfing...
Nice course in good shape.
Great course! I always enjoy playing here. The staff in the golf shop is first class. We spend summers here from Arizona and I always recommend this course to my cronies.
Course was soaked and the Bunkers were terrible!!! Worst bunkers Ive seen on a nice course maybe ever. Greens are good and fast other than the Bunkers which there are many, rest of the course is in good condition however I would be asking for money back if I paid full price no course should charge over 60$ without good and playable conditions throughout the entire course.
Played Labor Day and got around in 4:10. Greens a little slow and rough but I think fall aeration is this week. Nice staff and restaurant/bar. Will play again in Fall.
We live in Anthem and love to play here. I have been taking lessons from Matt for 20 years and he is amazing! We love the staff, course and highly recommend. My ladies group plays here every other week and we are always treated so nicely by the golf pros. Course is a bit tough but wide open off the tees which is why my group likes to play here. We love the lunch too :).
It s a long course, but fun
Fun golf course green fees are high.
This was our first time playing here and considering the time of year the course was actually in really good shape. When we got started we asked how long the course was running and the man on the first tee box said about 4-1/2 hours, maybe a little less. We started making our way to the second hole and the cart beeped saying we needed to pick up our pace. At this same time the course Marshall drove by and said the same thing. As we were pulling up to the green on hole 4 the Marshall drove by again and said to pick up the pace. He then proceeded to follow us until the turn! Always staying about 40-50 yards behind us in the fairway. Instead of stopping at the turn we kept going. After hole 10, who did we find waiting to follow behind us, the Marshall. He followed us until hole 16, then passed us. We finished the round around 4 hours and 15 minutes. It was one of the most unenjoyable rounds of golf we’ve ever played. Which is a shame because the course is actually really nice. We didn’t even stay after for food or drinks and instead went to Lazy Dog near the course. Considering the other courses in the Denver are, we probably won’t be returning. From the looks of some of the other reviews, this may be an issue at this course.
We watched the July 3rd fireworks show from 100 years away and enjoyed every minute. Highly recommend it.
They have wonderful food and a beautiful space for events!
Great facility - range and course. Staff is extremely nice. Highly recommend.
5 Stars here! Played this course after the NCAA tournament. We wanted to compare our skill. We found out quick we were not that great lol. We had 16 guys and we had a blast. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. The vibe was wonderful and the beer was cold! We will be back for sure.
Love their brunch with a beautiful view!
My husband and I play here a couple times a month and we LOVE it. The course is so fun (even though I am terrible) and we are always treated so kindly by the staff! The staff in the entire clubhouse is amazing and the food ROCKS too. Wonderful Bloodys to start your round :). Thanks to the pros for always taking great care of us...
Second time playing and we loved it again. Great practice facility and course was nice. Bunkers were a bit rough but they are starting the fix many of them so some under construction. Staff in the golf shop was great and the bev cart gal was very witty. We had another great time and will be back for sure. I am always amazed at how cheap it is to play here too.
We played on 9/18/18 and it was ladies day. The staff was terrific and very fun. Only negative is no carts in the parking lot. We were a bit slow as we were having too much fun and the marshals sped us up but were very nice about it. This was our first time and we will be back.
Rude staff sure know how to ruin a lovely course. The majority staff members at CNGC that I had the displeasure of interacting with today were simply rude and discourteous. Except the staff cleaning the carts were very nice, I guess they were glad to see us leave. All that is to say, nice course to play, just ignore those that work there.
Did lots of games here. Nice course, but I need more hazards.
One of the best courses in northern Colorado featuring elevated boxes, open fairways and challenging but playable greens.
Long but fun
Not worth price. Had a CU coach rush me on empty course for no reason. I’m a paying customer not a underachieving freshman member of the golf team. If you want a private course, then make it private.Went last year and google is reminding me to review.
Let me first start off by saying that the course here is great and if were talking purely the course and playing golf here then its great. However when it comes to the Pros it becomes a different story. My friends and I were playing there last Saturday, had a tee time at 7am. On the third hole someone came out and told us to pick up the pace even though we were not holding anyone up. Then another marshal came out on the 7th hole and again on the 10th and even began following us down the hole. If we were holding the groups behind us up I totally understand but we werent. We actually left a club and went back a hole and the group behind us said were not causing any delays and to enjoy our round. It was very frustrating for us to keep getting annoyed and hassled when were simply trying to enjoy our round. Great course but awful pros. If you want to get treated poorly while playing golf, this is the place for you!
Amazing and Fun Day! Course was in great shape and the service and friendly staff made the day golfing very nice. I have played here for 5 years and people who say it took 6 hours are just lying. Our worst day out here in 5 years has been a 5 hour round.
We were in the main meeting room, which was very nice.
Always in great shape and the views are the best!
Beautiful course! Very challenging and absolutely great experience!
I love this golf course, so we we had our wedding reception here. Could not imagine better service with spectacular views and great food. The best service ever. Thank you Julie and Nicole!!!
I expected it to be a clown course. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The course under promises and over delivers. It is well maintained and offers challenges where you would expect, but is still very playable. The landing areas for your shots are large, yet protected against errant swings. The par 3`s offer a great challenge from the tips, and I would imagine a high handicapper to feel nervous at the tee box. The only suggestion I would offer is to book ahead of time, as I am pretty sure I was over charged for walking on. Nonetheless, I will definitely play here again.
Nice place
Excellent links style course that is well maintained and staffed. My first time on the course and staff were helpful and professional. The course shows signs that they care about it! The fairways and greens were in excellent condition and our twosome played around in 4 hours 10 minutes with no issues despite a foursome of duffers in front of us. On course staff and clubhouse staff were all helpful and everything you would expect from a top tier golf course. Go play this course! We were unsure about some of the negative online reviews but found that they did not match the experience we had. Maybe some reviewers were being unfair? I think so. Go and enjoy.
Great course for shooting a good round good staff and reasonable rates
Every time I go here, we get harassed by the marshals for pace of play. Our group had a tough 2nd hole with 3 guys hitting errant shots we had to look for. We got behind by 1 hole early. The marshal promptly showed up and rudely told us we were a hole behind and if we didn’t pick it up they would make us skip a hole. Meanwhile the group behind us was a hole behind us so we weren’t holding anybody up. We acknowledged and said we would catch up. The marshal followed us for the next 2 holes and then told us we were 1/2 a hole behind. We agreed saying we obviously picked up our pace. He continued to bark at us until we were eventually had to wait on the group in front of us every shot on the back 9.This happens EVERY TIME we play there. I’m a 0.4 handicap so not like a bunch of newbies out there. This course takes any enjoyment out of playing. There are less abrasive ways to get your customers to speed up. I suggest the staff go play Green Valley Ranch and see how customer service is done right!**reply to “the owners response” - I’m curious how our slow play affected the groups behind us as they weren’t waiting on us....ever. And our pace “got as much as 20 mins behind” at one point...we admitted we had 1 bad hole...it happens. We caught up and waited the rest of the day on the group in front of us. If we were behind it was because the groups in front were behind pace. Regardless, you ARE NOT sorry as you contend because this happens every time we play. Seriously, go play a golf round at GVR and you will understand how to treat customers. Meanwhile, playing at CNGC reminds me of being at a mean daycare facility...
Challenging course with beautiful Vistas. Originally called Vista Ridge
5 stars for the course, but cart path only after previous nights heavy rain made it a tough endurance contest.
CO National is a really challenging course and will test your entire bag. Playing smart is key. Well maintained
Great Public Course. Home of the CU golf team.
Beautiful Course, well maintained. The people who work there act as if they work at Pebble Beach instead of a standard course in Erie, Colorado. I have never seen a congregation of such snobs in my life. The first question on the application must be Are you an A-hole? If yes... You begin work tomorrow at 6am.Way overpriced if you want to walk... 40 bucks to walk 9 holes!!!! Also, took lessons there about two years ago. The head pro was probably the worst teacher I have ever been around. The guy would literally hit his own bucket of balls during my lessons. Teaching was so bad I left with lessons still remaining...glad to never take another lesson there. Will not be returning. Sad that a wonderful University attaches their name to this place.
My favorite course around and in great shape. Greens are the best I have ever seen. Bunkers were a bit rough but they are replacing many drains inside them over the next few years which will be awesome. Staff is so welcoming too!
Is there a course in Colorado that is not worth the view? Staff is nice
Nice course.Have always enjoyed the course and staff over the last several years.
Great course but waaaaaay too many groups on the course at once. Round lasted 6 hours!!!! Unacceptable, plain and simple. Makes me not want to come and play here again. Control how many groups are playing, even at the expense of having less tee times
Beautiful golf course! Amazing quality and condition. Great views! Don’t miss out on this course!
Beautiful course, gps in cart, sometimes they dont show the other carts on the GPS though.
Great course...beautiful views!
Pro shop staff was rude and not very helpful. Marshals didn’t do anything to control the pace of play. There was a twosome that was playing so slow they were making foursomes play through, yet they got mad when people did finally play through. Marshals said nothing. Plus, good luck hitting a peaceful tee shot with all the noise going on from the hundreds of houses lining the course. I bet this place was very nice at some point, but now it’s just your run-of-the-mill public course. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to travel more than 5 minutes to play this course when so many other better golf options exist in this state.
Beautiful course! Many challenges and some of the more difficult greens I’ve played. I enjoyed some of the narrow fairways and water hazard shots. Great location if you’re north of Denver too.
I love this place! Great people, great food, and spectacular views!
Course is always in great shape. Staff is always friendly.I would be a member if I lived in the area.
Fun event for thanking contractors and a special thank you goes out to Budget Home Center for the event!
Outstanding golf course. Serve and staff were great and friendly! Course was in great condition! Top of the line Callaway Golf Rental Clubs!
Great driving range and course. We love the club for easy family meals, and the brunch is great!
Staff and management should be fired and replaced with people who are trained to provide an inviting atmosphere. I give this place an F simply due to the staff.
I hesitated to write this review because I do not want the secret getting out, but this is the best golf course in the entire Denver area for many reasons.First and foremost, the course is top notch. Plays to 75.5 from the tips, but there are about 5 sets of tees for all levels. Always extremely well maintained in all aspects. Any condition issues others noted are all resolved as of Summer 2014. Great views on many holes, especially the home stretch on the back nine. Generous fairways for the most part and a true second shot golf course. No slow play problems in my experience.Secondly, the value. You can play this course for a very reasonable price at the right time of day, and that price includes a cart with GPS. You will get exact yardages to that days pin location, front of green, back of green, and all other landmarks on every yard of the hole. Just tap the screen and it will give you an exact yardage. Finally, the staff, members, and general feel. The staff are as helpful as anyone could want. The grounds have the feel of an exclusive club, but the attitude is very relaxed, friendly, and welcoming. Very down to earth and not snobby in any way. Oh, and every member I have had the pleasure of playing with was not only very friendly, but also some damn good players. You will not be disappointed if you come here, and youll probably be back many times.
What a fantastic spot had a great time
Wonderful experience at CNGC. Always delicious food, fantastic service, beautiful setting. One couldnt ask for anything more. Stephanie was a most attentive, competent waitress. Love coming here!
Beautiful 60 degree January day. Course was in good shape.
Course was in relatively good condition. The biggest complaint I would have is that the greens were REALLY damaged by repair marks. We were the first group it and the damage was every hole. The fairways were in beautiful condition. Some of the views were remarkable! I look forward to playing again when spring comes and things have been fixed.
One of my favorite courses. All around everything youd want in a golf round. Little far of a drive but worth it.
The course is actually very nice and in great shape. The staff and marshals however are straight up rude. I wont play here again. Dont waste your money here unless you want to pay the membership fees and be treated like a human.
Was visiting my sister in Erie for the fourth of July and she brought us here for the annual fireworks show. It was really cool and they had lots of activities for the kids. It got really packed though since it has become a popular event with the locals so make sure to get there early for close parking!
Great course with an excellent staff. Greens are in great shape and the rest of the course is filling in very well. I lot of work has been done to the sand traps, bathrooms, and drainage. I am very happy!
Beautiful course hard as well
Great course but way to much walking even with a cart and there Native Area just tall weeds nothing Native in Colorado its on the list not to return to play but if you need to build up your leg muscles might as well walk and not over pay for a cart.
I played Colo Natl for the first time on Sat 6/18. The course was very busy, seemingly with many father/son combos, which was the case for me. It couldnt have been a better experience! The staff I had contact with were all very friendly and helpful and the course was in great shape. We played 18 with another father/son twosome that we were paired with. For such a busy day, pace of play was great...a 4.5 hr round. I will definitely plan on playing the course again.
Great course with variety of tees to challenge even the most talented golfer. Good range facilities and practice greens as well. Play the course, you wont be disappointed.
Its name makes it sound more interesting than it really is. Its a typical real Estate development course made primarily to sell homes In the area. Its well kept and has some nice holes. Houses line every fairway and tee box.
Golfing here is nice, have long tee and farrway shots. Do not like their golf cart GPS system. Cant take the cart out to the car, on the course cant drive near the rough. Just turn off. They could be more generous on their golf cart out of bounds.
Great place to meet friends in am for koffee... great views
The course is coming into season nicely. I see they are working diligently on some of the irrigation problems. Hopefully that will lead to firmer fairways than last year. Bunkers need work, but one step at a time. All in all good shape from where the course was a year and a half ago. The superintendent is working out of a terrible shop facility, so my hat is off to him when you take that into consideration.
Love this course and it is in great shape this year. Best around! Course is very tough and was recently chosen as the 3rd most difficult in the state by cobiz magazine. Hard to play here very fast because of the challenge and rangers will stay on you which gets annoying.
Greens are nice. Pace of play is usually alright as well. Not 5 stars though because I dont believe in their strict no denim policy.
Hard course, bunkers need some sand and par 3 tees have some divots. Overall great shape. Staff was very friendly and professional.
Great Course, Great Food and Friendly Staff...We had a great time playing here and always do. Always recommend playing here!
Love this course. Great club house
The firework show for the 3rd of July was very pleasant! There are several did trucks and different activities to do while k me you wait for it to get dark.
Just played today Aug 1st 2015. The greens here are without doubt the worst I have ever been on. By this I mean there is almost as much dirt as grass on the putting surface. They are not only missing grass( a key element to greens) they extremely bumpy. I have putted on greens a few days after they have been punched and sanded that were much better than these. The course layout is great and it used to be a very nice course. The views are amazing! Hopefully someone new takes over the course and brings it back to what it should be. For now I suggest playing anywhere but here.
The starter threatens you to keep up with the group ahead of you. Fine. But then told me you dont want to be THAT guy. Then the ranger stalked us for 2 holes on the back.Horrible experience. The golf course is in bad shape. And the staff is ridiculously rude. This is not golf.Save your money and skip this goat ranch!
We have a company house next to the course, we all fly from home. Had a day and decided to go try the this course. Made it clear that we were out of town on work and did not have our gear. Guy tried to charge us $55 a piece to rent clubs! Told him to take a hike and we took business elsewhere! Home boy working the desk was extremely rude (Im trying to be nice). Went to another course that was very and they went out of their way to accommodate us!
Course was in great shape prices are reasonable, Reason for the 3 stars from the time I walked in I felt like not one employee cared if I was happy or felt welcomed making it a place that could be memorable very non memorable..
