Nice place but not as long of a hike as I anticipated. Not much shade either. Still beautiful on a cooler day

Relieved that is set aside for Animals displaced from all the overbuilding. It would be nice if there were a water fountain and more trees... otherwise it is a nice place for animals to live.

This is great! Trails are fun to ride and walk. Pay attention to the map at e beginning and watch for the markers. Take a pic of it on your phone and it’s easy to follow on the longer trails.

What an amazing place. A hidden gem. If you are ever planning on a trip to Manasota Beach you can stop by this preserve which is just off the road that goes to Manasota Beach. There is a nice display case at the trail head with maps to take with you. I saw a Gopher Tortoise burrow next to the picnic area. There is a bike rack in the picnic table spot. Several benches to sit on and soak up nature. Several Scrub Jay families call this preserve home. The trail is not very long but it takes a while if you stop a lot to absorb your surroundings. Bring water, bug spray, a hat, binoculars and a camera. Happy hiking and Birding.

Beautiful, old Florida feel! This is great to get out and go turtle watching. Definitely worth the walking path!

Hidden gem. In The summer months many trails get flooded. There should be more places like these to walk and enjoy nature. Opossum, bobcat, tortoise, coyote, rabbits and many birds are some of the animals you may see.

Love the trails. Lots of fun to walk down, only big disadvantage is there isnt a lot of maintenance. Some people also own private property in the middle of it, which is a bit discouraging for a preserve. You can also use this as a shortcut to the beach.

Nothing fancy, just what the place looked the area looked like before all the people arrived. I jog it sometimes, and see a lot of wild hogs and an occasional snake - cool stuff!
